i don't know what these other people are talking about he's so easy. the test are only 30 questions and i had an 100 average. i thought he was the easiest teacher ever.

Yes, he is very boring, but if you want an easy grade the go with him. His tests were soooooooooo easy

haha a lot of people don't like him but i think he was funny sometimes. his tests are not easy..he talkes for the whole class (take it in the PM if u can or else u will fall asleep!)just go and get help from him once in a while and u will be fine!

These people do not know what they are saying. He is a little diffecult but you really learn and is'nt that the reason we are suppose to be studying.I took him three times Tests are 3 multiple choose for soc.1 and two and soc.3 are three take home

hes a nice funny guy in a wierd sort of way. he repeats himself a lot. a lot of talkin and notes. havent taken his tests yet.

Awsome teacher, seariously, tells the best stories in class, and is very funny. However be prepared to use your brain becuase the class can get challenging at times. Are you good for it.....

I've never had a professor spend more time going over class material than Mr. Marcus. He cares a ton about his students and sociology and has lovingly made them his life's work. His work with me has improved my writing and made him a trusted friend. Doing the work leads to newly insightful thoughts.

This man made some bad tests. They were not made for material you know but if you read and payed attention. That was the only bad part of the class. The lectures were amazing though and the message was clear...just make sure you read and go to every class.

Wonderful professor. You can tell that he really loves teaching and the subject matter. He makes a potentially boring subject very interesting. You'll breeze through the tests if you pay attention and, most importantly, take notes.

Sometimes hard to understand due to his accent, but did explain the material well. TAKE NOTES, READ MATERIAL, PARTICIPATE! He spits when he talks, so don't sit in the front row. Tests are OK, but he had two together on one day, so I think he go confused as to what he taught each one. Will sit down and discuss your grade with you, which is good.

Marcus is the man. The only people that don't like him, are the people that don't want to do work. He is hard but very fair. I thoroughly enjoyed all his classes.

Okay guy I guess, but works you kind of hard. Don't take his class at 8:30 am, lol, you'll be fast asleep by 9. Lots of notes, class participation, and reading, but is extremely willing to help you out if you put in effort. Good guy, but drools! :) If you're kind of lazy (like me), don't take him. Gets confused what he teaches each class.

If you can stay up and understand his jokes, then he's good, is that clear? haha, that was a joke. If you've had him you'll get it

the man is a legend. if you actually take time to listen and enjoy the class, you'll love him. now, if you're a **** and just complain about him constantly...you won't have a good time. is that clear? is that clear? is that clear, guys? say yes or no.

How can anyone not love his classes? He makes a class which is basically about common sense and should be boring remarkably interesting. I urge everyone to take him if you can!

This dude is one of the most helpful people you'll ever come across. All you have to do is ask for help, be patient, and listen. The subject matter is very organized, interesting, and helped me look at several parts of life differently. I've never known another teacher to take such an interested role in seeing students develop than this smart man.

Don't let his old age full you, he is a fun professor who wants everyone to pass this class. Be sure to take notes in class, tests are based on that more than on the book. Very easy teacher, nice, wants all his students to do very well.

This guy is great, most likely the best professor I have ever had. He is verey clear and fun. Some will say he is hard, but he is fair, and a great man to have. He really cares for the students and it shows.Show up do the work and you should have no problems

This class heightened my interest in the subject. He is a good teacher, he tells you to take notes for a reason! Participate in class, just passing tests isn't enough. He is helpful and funny, i enjoyed his class.

Professor Marcus is definately a teacher you should take if you are one that actually will do the work and do what needs to be done out of class. On the 3 essays (which is your entire grade) i recieved a d+ , c- , and dunno on my final but i still managed to pull out with a B simply because i went to him for extra help and showed that i cared.

A crazed Hungarian with a sense of humor that gets old rather quick. Take notes take notes! You'll need them, and read the reading down to the last detail, that's what you need to remember. You'll spend the entire class either taking notes or listening to him try and berate students. His tests are impossible unless you know every last detail. Spits

Pretty damn good teacher. I didn't find his lectures boring at all. I wish he wouldn't spend so much time addressing the idiots that aren't there to learn.

Decent teacher for Sociology but not the best. His accent makes him hard to understand at times and some of the lectures are very dry. Much of the material on the tests isn't covered in the lectures. Get Weyer or Brezina if you can.

This guy was funny! He kicked people out, tried hitting students with stuff, and gave people nick-names. I feel I did learn things from him...just not Sociology. His some-what good qualities end there. He doesn't care and his test have little to do with what he says. If you do have him as a teacher SIT IN THE BACK HE DROOLS/SPITS

Many people fail his class because they do not realize what he wants exactly. I went through it all and I got an A. His exams are Papers. Take extremely detailed notes in his class and use his examples and quotes from the books to answer the questions. You don't actually need to think here, just copy and cite. Write more then 10 pages.

loved him. Definitely a character, funny, old-fashioned but he expects his students to learn and that is why we pay for an education. We might think that money buys a degree when it doesn't. Study, read for a change!!! and WRITE A LOT OF NOTES(this requires you to be awake) tests are mostly from the notes, study questions and a readings.

HE is a pretty good teacher despite what you are reading on here.. The people making comments on here are straight from high school and pretty much expected to goof off and stuff like they did in HS. College is different, the teacher/professors are different.. Welcome to the real world students..

I loved him! His class IS hard for those who aren't ready to work hard, analyze the material, and study intensely. I got a B, and I recommend you sit toward the front, make a good impression, write down EVERY SINGLE THING he says in your notes, and review them intensely before any test, also read the material assigned, and you'll do fine.

There is really no such thing as too hard or too easy when it comes to professors and subjects. Theres the material, the lecture, and your willingness to learn. Take good notes, tape the lectures, read with a highlighter. Theres very minimal thinking involved. Take-home written exams. It doesn't get any easier than that. I got an A.

He just kept talking in one long incredibly unbroken sentence, moving from topic to topic, so that no one had a chance to interrupt, it was really quite hypnotic

Your note taking skills are crucial. you need to learn to organize your notes in a way that will make studying simple. if you can get that down getting an A is easy as long as you don't miss class

You have to get used to him. He expects you to say exacally what he wants you to say and nothing else. Take clear notes and he will like you if you ask questions and engage. He is quite the charachter. I loved his class

Much better teacher than most I had at Rutgers and Penn State, but only if you really want to learn. Slackers stay away.

Pay attention and you will succeed. He is very knowledgeable in his course.

This teacher is a smart man and is funny too. His stories are very interesting and vivid. Just do what he tells you and you will pass.

This man is very wise if not the wisest person I've met. If you are genuinely interested in learning and absolutely no slacking I strongly recommend him. People can make fun of him for his age/drooling and complain how he didn't give you an A but he is very accurate with his grading and what comes out of his mouth.
