i took this class in summer and it was easy, i just copied the lecture and was there for the review for the test. the review are the answers for the test!! i didn't have to buy the book just pay attention. the summer class had no homework just one 12 page essay which was really really easy. take this class

You don't need your book to get an A. His summer class is super easy. There's no homework, just one easy project. Make sure you go to the review the day before the test, he goes through the ENTIRE test. If you know the answers from the review, you'll ace the test. Great teacher and wants his students to succeed.

What a great class!Lazlo is a very good and effective teacher. He's funny and playful and keeps things moving at a nice pace. The four hour lectures flew by. Classes and material very organized and designed for you to succeed. Tests are easy to do well on if you pay attention in class. I hardly even opened the text book. Bring candy!

Very easy class. He always lets you out early and is really down to earth. He notices when you are not there, and knows all by their first name. Pay attention and get an A. For the lab class he gives you the answers the tuesday before the test, every time. Easy A, take him hes great.

I would recommend taking both his lecture and lab class simultaneously, it makes studying for the tests much simpler! The lecture has a project and 3 tests (each covers about 7 chapters); the lab also has 3 tests. It's very easy to get an A if you just attend class and pay attention. Review sessions before tests are very important days to attend!!!

THE BEST! He explained the material so well that I didn't even have to open the book. Always come to the review sessions before tests because he gives you the questions/answers to the exams. Put effort into your final project. Doing extra credit always shows that you want an A. BE ON TIME, it's rude to walk into lectures late!

Far and away the easiest class I have ever taken. No homework, 1 paper to write due at the final, and he reviews every question on the tests before hand. The guys next to me slept through the lectures, copied down the test review and they got A's. Just make sure to attend class or he will take away points and you will get an A.

This class can get boring, but not because of the Professor, just some geography isn't all that interesting. Prof. Mariahazy tried to make it as interesting as possible. He's really nice and will help you if you don't understand, you just have to ask. Take it with Vu's Lab and both of them are really easy, they go hand in hand.

Such an easy lab course! Be sure to show up ON TIME or you will lose points. He also gives you the lab answers, so there's really no way to lose points on homework. I failed every single test and quiz you could possibly imagine, but I was there on time & completed all the labs... managed to get a B! Great professor.

Professor Laszlo is an AMAZING geography instructor! He was willing to go above and beyond to make a concept clear. I only had him for my Geog 180 Lab but he taught me more than my actual Geography lecture instructor did. I would recommend Laszlo to anyone and everyone who is willing to attend Lab each class, you will pass!

I had Professor Laszlo for the six week World Regional Geography (Geo 3) summer course and I thoroughly enjoyed the class. Note that attendance is important and will impact your grade . He provides study guides for the midterm and final, and uses those exact questions for the two tests. Overall it's a very easy and enjoyable class. I recommend it.

He is the best! I took him for a summer world geog class which goes by really fast, but he made it so easy! His class totally makes you want to travel the world! There was only a midterm, a final, and a project! He gives out TONS of extra credit! Sometimes he gave us answers to our tests! You definitely learn a lot in the class!

I highly recommend Laszlo! I stay up until 1 or 2 am most nights but it was worth being at his class by 7:30. I had him for both lecture and lab. As long as you put effort into your semester paper and take advantage of the extra credit he gives (which is a lot), you'll definitely pass. Science is tough for me and I still achieved an A. Lectures can be a little lengthy, though he breaks it down pretty easy for you. It made a HUGE positive difference to have a professor who knows what he's talking about, and actually ENJOYS it. Made the class so much more interesting to be in. Gives reviews to the class after each chapter, and they're essentially all test questions. EASY A!

His lectures are pretty in depth, and super descriptive. The whole class is a lecture so naturally it'll feel long, but because he's keeping it interesting and engaging the class goes by faster. I took his lecture/lab classes. He always came to class with a positive attitude. He is genuinely interested in what he is teaching, so the class is entertaining even though it can be long. There are three midterms, and a paper in the lecture course. He marks off for absences and tardies, but he gives a lot of extra credit. Reviews test material

I took California Geography with Professor Mariahazy and the class was very easy. No homework that I can remember and tests are not too difficult. If you pay just some attention you will pass easily.

This was one of the best classes I have ever taken in college. It was very easy but he made the material extremely interesting and relevant to your own life. Would recommend to anyone needing a physical science, or the lab, or just for fun.

Prof Mariahazy cares about geography and is very approachable. There's one big writing project, but he assigns it at the beginning and it's due at the end, and if you turn it in early you can get a lot of extra credit. There's also three tests. He hands out study guides and goes over them thoroughly, so as long as you study those, you'll be fine.

No homework, attendance is necessary, don't need the textbooks. Your grade is based on 250 points, The three exams are worth 50 points each for 150 points total, one research project (70 points), attendance (30 points). If you turn in the project early, you can get 25 extra points. There is another extra credit worth 10 points. (watching movie)

Professor MariaHazy is an amazing professor and person. He genuinely wants students to do well and grades on attendance, 3 noncumulative exams (multiple choice), and a research paper. Extra credit is offered for submitting the paper early and for taking notes and writing 1 page on a documentary. This is also a great class to take for GE credit.

The course grade is based on attendance, lab manual exercises (he does them along with you), and 3 noncumulative exams. Exams are made up of multiple choice questions, practical questions (e.g. completing charts, drawing symbols on maps), and a short essay question. Extra credit is offered for labeling features on maps he provides.

To be honest I hated taking Geography, but not because of him. Lazlo is a good professor and is passionate about his job. There's no homework, however your grade is based off of three exams and a research paper. IMO the tests are difficult so read the textbook. Also don't leave the research report to the last minute and DO THE EXTRA CREDIT!!

He is really clear about all expectations. He also cares about students and try to help however he can. The only grades shared is the exams and attendance and projects will be graded at the end of semester which makes it a little hard to follow up with the grades, but over all great class with kind professor and lots of learning. I really recommend this professor. After taking his class I'm actually considering switching my major to geography. The study guide is great. go through the textbook with it and make flashcards and you will be prepared. He also gives a lot of extra credit. Don't expect to just show up and pass but he is definitely a fair grader.

Laszlo is a pretty great guy. He's very chill and clearly points out what will be on the test in his lectures. The classes are a bit long, but if you listen to the test hints and jot them down, you'll do well. Also do the semester paper ahead of time: it takes a LONG time to finish properly.

Always provided good feedback on assignments. I thought this class was going to be about maps, but it's a lot more than that. Discusses the environment, ecological impacts, and so forth. This professor was very engaging. Weekly DBs, 3 longish exams not cumulative, and a large research paper. Provides good feedback and is a fun class.

MariaHazy is a legit professor. He has a good sense of humor and knows a lot about geography. He cares about his students and wants them to succeed. Every class except test days are lectures so be prepared for that. You can afford to miss class but you should show up when you can bc the lectures are important. Would recommend overall.

I haven't been in school for over 4 years so it was nice to have this professor for my first semester back. Super helpful, and he opens the Final Project really early so you can work on it months before it is due.

Awesome class, all the information for the three finals throughout the year is in the lectures which are really engaging and entertaining. The final research report is open from the beginning of the semester and he awards extra credit for turning it in early.

Professor Mariahazy was one of the best teachers I've ever had. While the course is lecture heavy, he makes them really entertaining and gives you all the information you need for the tests. He also opens the final project very early, giving you plenty of time to get it done.

If you passed and have taken a physical geography course awhile ago then this class is for you. Although this course should be take with the lecture course he explains every with great depth. Participation/attendance matters. Its worth 30 points. Exams are a bit hard but if you do the extra credit and show up youll pass. 50 extra credit points!

Wonderful Professor. Take him for GEOG 1 if you need an easy science credit. He is very nice and has a good sense of humor. Very little homework and offers up to 70 points of extra credit. One big project but it is assigned at the beginning of the semester and is due during finals. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Good professor with good personal stories. Good class for teaching what happens around us and why. Tests are a little difficult, but as long as you take notes in class and do the study guide it's easy. The final project is time consuming but can be fun if you pick a topic for something you're interested in. Overall fairly easy class and worth it.

Im not too passionate about "terminal moraines" and "alluvial fans" but Professor Lazlo clearly is. He is so passionate about his courses and clearly knows a lot about Geography. His lectures are easy to understand and paced greatly. He tells you what you need to know for the Tests and the homework is easy with a lot of extra credit. Take him.

Such a great professor, very understanding and passionate about his lectures. Although there is no time to get to know the other students, his presentations are very interesting.

Even though he is lecturing for the entire time that you will have him, the way he lectures and explains the concepts will give you real knowledge about our physical world. He gives little work, but please DO THE FIRST EARTHWEEK DIARY, it will make your life even easier in a pretty easy class.

Textbook and atlas are not used much. I didn't crack my textbook once and got an A. That being said, you've got to take lecture notes or you will fail the midterm/final. Prof. M. is a very cool guy who has traveled just about everywhere, and once you get to know him you will look forward to his class. My favorite class so far, 10/10.

Lectures are a lot of information but he gives notes on his canvas and if you focus a little bit, read his notes and understand the study guides you can get 90's on every exam with only an hour or so of studying. One big project and no other homework, lots of extra credit, funny guy. only wish there was a chance to get to know other people.

Such an easy class. Just show up it is an easy 5-points participation when you show up. SO MUCH EXTRA CREDIT!!! 3 tests all 100 questions and 1 huge project. HINT: do the project in the early semester you will get mega extra credit points.

Professor Mariahazy includes a lot of lectures during his class, but makes it easy to understand the material that he covers in these lectures. There is not really any homework, and the extra credit that he assigns is easy and very helpful. The tests are a bit content heavy, but the study guides are helpful and he goes over them in class.

One 5-point discussion board every week. Attend class for easy points and for free test questions. He is very generous with extra credit. Do it all. There is a 15-20 page research paper, but he gives you the entire semester to do it. Exams are pretty difficult, but he gives out some test questions and study guide.

A lot of reading! chapters are big and a lot of content. around 4 or 5 exams and a report of around 20 pages due by the end of the semester, on a commodity of your choice. I got 80% on the first exam but improved, 90%-91% on every exam after. Open note/book. Study! Time consuming, especially as a summer course (as I took). engaging content & prof.

Awesome professor, lectures are insightful. Textbook optional - aced the class without cracking it. Leveraged ChatGPT and Unstuckstudy for study prep, made it a breeze.

Professor Mariahazy was one of the most knowledgeable and helpful professors I've had at Saddleback. He gives so much extra credit that I definitely recommend that you take advantage of. His lectures are very thorough and as long as you take notes and stay on top of the semester long report, the class is very doable.

Has to be my favorite professor yet here at Saddleback. I didn't have much interest for the subject as it's just needed for my general, but professor Laszlo had me more drawn to the subject as the semester passed. His lectures are very informative. He's great at responding to any questions and great with the feedback.

Enjoys teaching! Gave 16 weeks for Final Project! There are 3 Exams, non-cumulative. End of the week, he gives: 1) Lecture notes, 2) Short Videos, 3) Quiz Flashcards to study for the final. Weekly Discussion needed. So much Extra Credit! He truly cares about the students! Stay curious about the topics, it will help you stay engaged :)
