LOVE the heels! and short skirts

Definitely more than just a short skirt. Dr. Adkins clearly loves to teach. She was a little disorganized, but she made up for that with her passion for and dedication to her students! Only complaint is that I prefer SPSS to SAS!

The short skirks made calc.,a boring subject itself, a urprisingly interesting class.

Dr. Adkins is awesome.I probably would have failed if I had any other professor, but she was so helpfull that I ended up passing with a pretty good grade.Shes always willing to stay and help you no matter what the problem is.An extremly nice lady.

She delivered calculus pretty well. She seems to just touch the basics on her lecture and then expects you to know how to do the more challenging problems without going over them.

She has got to be on my top 10 list! I just love her to death and she is so understanding and helpful. The course content was not easy for me b/c I am just not a math person...but if it wasn't for her, I seriously would not have made it through my first year. I highly recommend her to ANYONE.

She is a very nice & helpful woman! Makes the classroom fun & actually makes it enjoyable coming to class. She even goes over the quizes right before we take them & answers every single question asked. If you have problems in math, take her b/c its so easy!!

She's a good teacher, but is somewhat scatter-brained. Goes too in depth sometimes, but overall is a very understanding person! I'd recommend her, but only if you're enthusiastic about math. :)

She goes out of her way to help you if you have to miss class for some reason. Reviews alot if the class needs it and lets you redo your test for points back. Overall a great teacher.

VERY helpful! If you don't understand what you're doing, go see her! (things will become clearer or she will see that you're trying hard and grade you more leniently) Don't expect to miss too much class, you will get too far behind because she goes through the material kinda quickly.

She's a great teacher. She was willing to help our class when we all received bad grades on the first test. She lets you correct all the mistakes that you made on the tests. You do not have to turn in homework. She gives lots of examples and really explains it if you have a question. Great teacher!!!!!

WONDERFUL!! She is without a doubt the best teacher at Marshall. Dr. Adkins actually wants you to do well (unlike others) and is always there to help. She even held two review sessions before the final! Statistics is a hard class, but this is the best teacher to take!

I would tell everyone to take her. I loved her class. If we did bad on our tests she let us do a take home resubmission and she took the average of the two. The department final was really hard, but she scaled it, so that helped. She is willing to help you with anything at anytime. She is quite comical in class and she cares about her students!

She is very helpful, wants everyone to do well in class, and tries very hard with examples. She changed teaching style for class becuase of scores on first test. She also let us resubmit tests for better grades. The final was department wide so she had a study session to help prepare for it.

Dr. Adkins is an extremely good professor genuinely concerned about the performance of the students. Each test had a retake / correction available to take advantage of, she was quick to answer e-mails, and the computer projects are a cinch if you follow the directions. She offers a lot of help that not many other professors would give.

Dr. Adkins is a wonderful professor. She makes a very tough subject easy and fun. She helps you understand concepts. She lets you redo old exam questions for 1/2 credit. Her projects are very east to follow. She is very helpful with student concerns. She's also very easy on the eyes. Dr. Adkins is a beautiful woman inside and out.

Dr. Adkins is a really good professor. She is extremely friendly and truly wants students to understand what they're doing. She answers questions with in-depth answers. She gives relatively easy exams and allows students to resubmit answers they got wrong for bonus points.

Laura was one of my all-time favorite math teachers. She was a very good teacher. I had her in the late 1980s, when she was young and cute. Maybe she's still kinda hot. LOL

I have taken Dr. Adkins many times because she is such a good teacher. Do not be intimidated by her. She loves when students ask questions, and does EVERYTHING she can to help you understand. She gives fair tests and gives you credit for trying. If you don't understand the material, she will go over it 1,000 times if needed. Wonderful teacher.

Dr. Adkins is a great professor, she is very helpful and sometimes will spend the whole classtime on one problem if necessary to get the class to understand. Tests are pretty easy and she is always there for extra help if you need it. I hate math but learned to love this class due to how great of a professor she is.

I've always hated math..it is my WORST subject. This class was refreshing though, because I finally found an amazing math teacher. Adkins is willing to spend her office hours helping you understand what you did wrong. All math teachers/professors should be like her!

She is an awesome teacher. She goes a little too indepth, and will sometimes show you 3 or 4 ways to do one problem, so just tune her out. Overall great class. I would recommend her to those who hate math.

Without a doubt the very best math teacher i have ever had. I think anyone would do well in her classes regardless of how you feel about math. Going through her class seemed like lifting the hood of car to see how it all works and then having someone explain it all in a way a 1st grader could understand. If you have the chance take Dr. Adkins!

Easy, helpful, and totally awesome! Best math teacher since middle school. One question quizzes are once a week with the question coming straight from the homework. They are open note, but not open book. Gives study guide for her tests. Show up and do the easy assignments and you will do fine!

She's hilarious and the class was easy. She'll help you if you ask and I actually never even opened the book, although she assigns homework for people who think they need practice. Quizzes are open-note and tests aren't that long. Overall easy.

ONE OF THE BEST TEACHERS I HAD THIS SEMESETER. HOMEWORK IS OPIONAL. SHE GIVES HANDOUTS WITH TYPED NOTES AND EXAMPLES SO BASICALLY IF YOU CAN DO THE EXAMPLES THE BOOK IS NOT NECESSARY. WILL HELP YOU ANYWAY SHE POSSIBLY CAN INCLUDING GIVING EXTRA SESSIONS FOR PRACTICE AND SECOND CHANCES ON CERTAIN GRADES. REALLY WANTS TO SEE PEOPLE LEARN.

good teacher..explains things very well...she likes to go at a steady pace but will stop anytime to help. the quizezs are extremely easy as well as the online quizes. test aren't too bad...very nice and helpful lady

Professor Adkins was very easy in Math 121; however extremely boring. If you go to class and pay attention it is an easy A. The quizzes, test, and wiritng assignments are simple. I would definitely reccomend her for Math 121 if you want an easy class!

Great teacher. I highly recommend her for this class. The tests were somewhat hard, yet she let us do a test re-write for every exam which gave us half the points back from the questions we missed. No homework. Go to class and you'll be fine if you take notes (which she prints off for you). I loved having her as a teacher.

Always helpful if you go see her about anything and very friendly. The material itself is somewhat confusing but her notes tell you everything you need for the projects and tests.

Professor Adkins has to be one of the sweetest professors I have ever had my whole 3 years at Marshall, she is here for the students and it shows i love her!

This class is so easy.I go sit in class and write whatever she does. On test day I look through the HW and do a few problems then take the test. Then she allows resubmissions that can bring you up two letter grades. The EXCEL projects are a grade boosters. I have an A right now.

She's so great, love her positive attitude. She hands out notes for every chapter, and spends the class working through the examples. These notes are great study guides for the test(which you can resubmit). Show up, take notes, do the projects (very easy), and you'll get an A. Don't bother buying the book, we never use it!

I had Professor Adkins for the Bridge Day program. She's very intelligent and helpful. She's also friendly. To this day when I see her she stops and asks me how I'm doing in my math classes.

She is an excellent professor who is very helpful. She gives you examples from the book as practice problems for the test but her tests are identical to the notes she provides you in class. She prints out the notes for you and then you just have to fill them in as she lectures. She is always available to talk if you have questions.

Professor Adkins is really sweet but I don't like her teaching style. She LOVES to use graphs and charts, even for things that you wouldn't need to use one for. She also likes to use more complicated means of solving a problem rather than the easiest way. Her tests are pretty tough but she lets you resubmit them. And no online work so that's good.

Very helpful. She let me make the class into an honors class and I got to know her well through that. Guided notes which makes the class easier. Tests pretty straightforward and you can resubmit for partial credit. Kind of goes off on tangents, but an entertaining class. The material is not too hard, and I would definitely recommend this professor.

The midterm and the final was open note, which completely saved my semester and I'm forever thankful for that. Dr. Adkins was enthusiastic and always came to class with the best outfits. She explains the material well and always encourages class participation.

Dr. Adkins is a great stats prof. 2 Tests + final. Tests were difficult, but she was fairly lenient on grading. No re-submissions at upper level. Lots of homework, but reasonable. Friendly and interactive. A little scattered, but who isn't? Answers questions anytime in or out of class. Makes learning statistics enjoyable.

If youre just having to take a Stats class for a major or core requirement and dont actually care to learn statistics then definitely take her. Lenient on homework, exams, and missing assignments. Shes such a pushover but hilarious and sweet. 10/10 would take again

Professor Adkins is one of the best professors i have ever met. For somone who isnt that great at math, she makes it fun and she truley cares about her students. She will do exam resubmissions for half a credit and also lets us have one page open note for exams. Her office is always open for extra help, she is such a sweet lady.

Online homework on WebAssign and semester project with straightforward directions. Allows exam resubmissions and takes the average of two. I strongly recommend her to everyone and would take again!

Fantastic professor! Im terrible at math but she is a great teacher and did all she could to help. She grades in very small points to maximize your score, so basically if you attempt a question on a test you will get at least some points. She is very flexible and willing to meet students in the middle. Also very accommodating, recommend 100%

If you aren't into stats then this class will bore the hell out of you. Otherwise, very fair grader, compassionate, gives ample opportunity to turn in work, and let's you use cheat sheets on exams. You should have no issue getting an A in this class. Recommend!

She is very good at being informative in lectures for class. Wants everyone to learn to the best of their ability. She will take time in class to go over a topic someone is confused on and make sure they understand it. There is a semester project, with quizzes for every chapter, with 3 tests. Quizzes are simple and are given to help you understand.

I kinda struggled in this class. prob bc i didnt attend much with everything being virtual. however i LOVED professor adkins. she was very helpful and was willing to meet with me outside of class time for extra help.

Dr. Adkins' class is entertaining and easy to pass. She is always accessible and goes out of her way to make sure everyone understands everything. She doesn't follow the textbook and stays behind schedule the entire semester, but overall a great class and a great professor. I would take Dr. Adkins for every math class if I could.

Dr. Adkins was one of the best professors Ive had. She always goes into depth with what shes teaching and makes sure everyone understands by showing different ways to solve problems. Shes extremely nice and gives you a lot of help with this class. I would enjoy all of my classes if every professor taught like her.

Dr. Adkins really cares about you learning and she breaks down the material so that you will eventually understand. Grading isn't too harsh lots of notes, papers, etc. She prefers to do things on paper rather than online!

I absolutely hate math but Dr. Adkins made it very enjoyable. She's a little unorganized with her lectures which caused me to lose focus but her course was the first math course I've ever enjoyed.

She is very caring and truly wants you to enjoy learning. Her teaching style is a little scattered, but she is an amazing human being and she's always willing to meet with you outside of class to discuss material or reschedule exams. Also, I'd wait to purchase the "required" textbook for this course. We never used it when I took the course.

I love this professor but her teaching style is not what I need. She's a bit scattered with everything, we did not get through all the material. Personally I feel she over teaches some things and under teaches others. The projects and take home quizzes are so easy. The two tests were more challenging.
