This professor is very effective in her lectures and the tests mirror her lectures as well as her notes she makes in her lectures. Follow along and do the assignments and you should be fine on your tests.

Cons: absolutely inflexible - exams, while not difficult, are written by her and can be confusing (not the question, but how to answer the question - not well written) - Overall I recommend this professor, but understand that she is unreasonably inflexible.

I hadn't taken an economics course in about 5 semesters and was a little hesitant about this course. Professor Zauner is great at simplifying the material and making it easier to understand than it would be in another International Economics course. She knows how to keep class interesting so you don't dread going.

The class is a mix of all ranges of economics histories so she meets everyone in the middle; it will be easier for some than others. Attendance will boost your grade a lot - most notes, especially at the beginning, are hand-written, and there are several in-class quizzes/assignments. Above all: go to class even if there are no attendance grades.

Professor Braeutigam Zauner simplified the material that was presented in class. She made sure everyone understood the subjects that were taught in her course. The quizzes and PS material were extremely helpful. I highly recommend taking her course.
