She is for the most part a nice lady. I guess the class is a average speech class. Of course you have to get up in front of the class and make many speechs, most of them around 5 mins long. Quiz's are hard. Have to study the book a lot to be prepared for the quiz's or YOU WILL fail.
Funny thing. She's in charge of the sign language dept. But, although she can sign well. She doesn't know crap about the Deaf community. The teacher's under her (including deaf teachers) know alot more than she does, and are alot more helpful.
She sucks ass. Never take her for a summer class especially. You have some sort of work due everyday and she never explains herself clear. She won't help if you ask either. I never missed one day of class and always paid attention, but I ended up with an 89 and she wouldn't raise it to an A. ****!!!
Good teacher, kept the speeches and material simple. Class was relaxed and discussion was a daily activity. I looked forward to her class, Shes kinda goofy and alot of fun, don't know how anyone didn't get an A, (Treat her like a person, not a teacher)
I like the class a lot and she is a great teacher!
she was cool
She knows her stuff. Participate in class and apply yourself and she will help you know your stuff too. Fun class! Great teacher!!!
Very helpful, easy to get along with and work with. Knows her subject and will do all she can to help you do well on your speeches, as long as YOU ARE WILLING TO WORK. Start being lazy or not turning in assignments and she can be harsh.
Do not take!
Ms. Carr is a pretty interesting character. The class material is boring, but she makes it bearable.
she seems to be a morning person and wants you to be the same way or as close as possible
Ms. Carr incorporated too many computer skills in a course when this was not a prerequisit. This would not stop me from taking her again. she is a fair teacher but very intense.
Wonderful teacher!!! Loved her! She made the class easy and FUN! Wish more professors were like her~
she talks about something related to the subject, but her test come directly from the book. so just listening to her lecture won't help you at all.
WORST TEACHER EVER!!! I have always done well in speech classes, but she makes delivering a speech SO MUCH DIFFICULT! It's more of a computer class than a speech class...IF U WANT AN EASY 'A' FOR SPEECH, DO NOT TAKE HER, specially if you are black, mexican, or indian!!!!!
Almost all the teachers that I've come across in my life have been very helpful, but Ms. Carr is a HUGE EXCEPTION!...she doesn't care about the grades of a student, she just wants to get her job done and leave, she would NEVER bump a person's grade, idk y she even teaches if she doesn't like dealing with students, don't take her unless u wanna fail!
she's very moody and she gets annoyed easily, she 'thinks' that she's doing the right thing by asking a student to just "look at the syllabus" but she's just avoiding her responsibility as a teacher.
idk wat happened....she was really nice @ the starting of the semester, but by the end,her class got more and more boring, and she got more tough while grading the papers, she gave me a 0 out of 100 and did not even leave a single comment on my paper, she doesn't like people with color, cuz she alwayz picks on blacks and indians, don't take her!!!
blech! do not take her, unless u want 2 learn from an arrogant lady who thinks everyone except her is wrong.
worst teacher at eastfield!
she wants you learn stupid speech stuff the hard way! tons of work to be done! in the end, she gives u a VERY low grade for final (i got 10% and i was highest in my class) which made me get a final grade of B...I DO NOT RECOMMEND HER AT ALL!!!!!
I don't know what these people are talking about. I am mexican and took Ms. Carr and loved her. Just read your syllabus, do what it says to the letter, and you are fine. I loved this class and recommend her to anyone. All the bad comments are from people who didn't do the work, because she finds it unacceptable. Take her!!!
Any question we asked her was answered with look in the book/syllabus-also she expects you to summarize almost the whole book(which is about common sense things and stuff we learned in highschool)this is a big part of your grade. If you've ever spoken against her it's likely you may see it in your grade with little explination.bad grading system.
I dont know what these other people are talking about, she is fair. It seems to me that everyone on here saying bad things is a dam slacker and want the easy way out. HELLO its college. I enjoyed her class she is a great and really nice teacher.I would recommend her to anybody WHO IS SERIOUS ABOUT GETTING AN EDUCATION.
she is horrible...if you want a low gpa take her class she won't hesitate to fail you
I did everything required on my demonstration speech but she gave me a B. This one group did not follow the guidelines and it was not even a demonstration speech in the first place, but got an A. I think she plays favorites.
I'm not a slacker nor do i want the easy way out. I did all the work just as she said and i had some very good presentations but that doesn't matter at all. If you can do mindless work and can put up with her "teaching" method then it's an easy A. But if you cannot tolerate idiocy and feel the need to stand up to it then you won't do well
I agree w/most if you are not interested in her life stories you might as well hang it up, did all of the work but I guess it wasnt up to her standards when I was there. Got tired of all the conversations that went on with her and the students, which was irrelevant to the class so I decided to drop her.
I took Mrs. Carr Last semester and loved it. She would get the whole class started into a discussion & it actually made me more sociable. I got to know all of my classmates very well and made a few friends. You have to pay attention, follow directions, be prepared & RESPONSIBLE to do well. do that it's and easy A. I recommend her to anyone.
Really nice lady, and fun to talk with, but a terrible professor. Yes, the class is easy if you do all the work and SHOW UP, but don't ask for help because you most likely won't get it, or will get little help. Her answer to everything is "Look at the syllabus". I don't know how anyone can say she is helpful...
This class was completely ridiculous. The work was time-wasting, busy work. She is loud, rude, and extremely obnoxious. They way that she does things makes absolutely no sense at all. I hated coming to class. I felt like I would rather stay home and beat my head against a wall rather than sit in that Hell for an hour and a half.
Hands down, THE WORST TEACHER I'VE ENCOUNTERED IN ALL OF MY LIFE. Presentations are unnecasarily difficult leaving you to stay up long nights preparing for a speech just to get 40 or lower. (Trust me.) Refuses to give instruction of any kind, her catchprase truly is "Have you looked at your syllabus?". An abomination as a teacher. Prepare to drop.
Carr is and will always be an unfair teacher. She does play "favorites" and if you are not one, then it will be hard to pass. She is extremely unclear and vague when it comes to assignments and I am one of the students that received a B soo.....? I watched her fail HALF of my class. DONT TAKE HER!
worst teacher at eastfield! If you are SMART...Do not take
She has to be one of the worst instructor's at EFC. The work load was overwhelming and I do not consider myself to be a slacker. Do not waste your time or money taking this class!!!
Reviews consistent with my experience. Very unhelpful. Tons of irrelevant work. Queries about anything met with "read the syllabus". Despite effort put towards speeches, received awful grades. Contrary to positive reviewers opinion, hard work is futile. Expect grades to be random. Anticipate frustration. Gave her a chance, and was disappointed.
This class is a waste of your time. I spent probably 40 hours out of class completing annoying busywork, and still got a D. Not much of a speech class. It's more like your first semester of english mixed with psychology, and speech. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR.
I think she is a terrible teacher who grades very hard and does not prepare the student for speeches and exams.
LAURA CARR IS THE WORST OF ALL TEACHERS. SHE DON'T PREPARE YOU FOR TEST! SHE GIVES REVIEWS AFTER YOU HAVE COMPLETED YOUR TESTS! WE HAD TO DO TWO 10 PAGE REPORTS ON SLAVERY MOVIES. (INCONSIDERATE) PLEASE GET TO KNOW YOUR PROFESSORS BEFORE ATTENDING THEIR CLASS. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANY STUDENT TO HER CLASS!SHE DOES NOT TEACH YOU SPEECH.
Wow. this Lady is a freaking joke. 10 and 15 page papers over slavery movies. She does not care to help you. She always says, " it's in your syllabus. Ha the stupid syllabus was wrong all over. There is no pleasing this teacher. My class started out with over 33 students attending.... It dwendled down to 5. Never take her unless you want to fail..
Do not take her class. SERIOUSLY dont take it. Only 5 people were left at the end of semester. Has favorites and is no help whatsoever. 5 people were left at end of semester those who were smart dropped her class on time.
Worst teacher ever. I don't normally write comments... but she's that bad.
This teacher is just awful. You WILL be frustrated by her coursework (long essays for an basic SPEECH class?), her unhelpfulness, and her condescending attitude. Tried not to argue with her like everyone else did, tried to do good work, and still failed. Also, don't expect her to tell you if you're failing. "Read your syllabus!" Run. Far. Away.
This teacher is horrible. All I have to say is that she goes based on attendance. I took her course, did all her speeches, presentations, and she still failed me because I missed her class three times in the semester. All I have to say is you better read your 25page syllabus, she drops your grade by a letter for absences
Had this teacher for Speech in summer and I found her to be hard but fair. If you do her work and try then you will pass. You had better read everything that she gives you and don't be Absent!!!!!!
Omg i would not recommend anyone to take her because speech is not suppose to be difficult like she makes it. she is no help u can ask her a question and never gives a straight answer. she gives these packets that u have to print(25 pages or more) and does not explain it. Class started with 30 students and ended with 9.
Expectations are unreasonable and student/teacher communication is unavailable. She is very judgmental and her grading is unfair.
I could never get her2 answer a question w/o replying with a sarcastic remark. She treats students as if the class is for experienced speakers when this is a BASIC SPEECH CLASS, meaning we are learning how to do speeches. She only explains instructions once & she do not answer any questions. She will direct U to her 25pg syllibus for any concerns
She is impossible to talk to in class she is rude and likes to put her hands in your face she invades personal space at that, all her directions are vague. She will never give you a direct answer when you ask a question. she describes concepts and words using the concept or words in her descrption which does not help at all. i could go on...
Professor Carr is a nice lady and I think that if you are really looking for a class to teach you how to give a good speech and are willing to do alot of work then she is perfectbut everyone else is just has to take it and expects an easy A do not take Carr.
R U N away as fast as you can!!!!!
I received an A, but it was so hard! She gave us sooo much homework! She told us to follow the syllabus and if it said something was due on a certain day, then it was due on that day. No exception. Which would be okay if she also followed the syllabus. Things from ch9 was due while we were still on ch5. Went from 30 students to 8. DO NOT TAKE!!!!!!
very unclear and not helpful. her grading process makes it impossible to pass. the smartest person in our class made a C. I did a lot of work for her class and still failed. I am not lazy, This is the first class I fail ever. I am an honors student and took this class because I thought it was going to be not as hard as my other classes.
I took her class in Fall 2012 and I got C I did everything and never missed any class. I think in our class only one person got A, but I am not sure. She is really hard so please if you want to pass do not take her class. She has no consideration and she does not care what you want. She wants her way or the highway.
I took Ms. Carr spring of 2013 for speech, and what a tyrant she is. I did not miss a class or an assignment, and did the assignments and speeches well AND STILL got an 89. I couldn't believe it, she imposes her will upon the class, very very difficult considering it is an intro class. She even has the nerve to push a political agenda in class
Do not take her class. She is awful and hard. Very rude professor. Take Dr. Forrest for speech.
She went out of her way to help me. Yes she is a hard teacher but she was very nice to me. she wants way too much for a speech clss. but overall shes nice.
This was an extremely difficult course. She always tells her students to look at the syllabus. I feel like there was no teacher/student communication. She is very unclear on her instructions and very vague when she talks to you. If you take her as a teacher you are going to be worrying and freaking out when things are due. DO NOT TAKE HER!!!
DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!! If any other speech class is packed and this is your last options, just don't take speech until next semester. She is horrible, she is very rude. It is basically you teaching yourself.
run away.. do not take this class. run run fast and don't look back
This teacher offered no assistance other than referring you back to the team you were assigned, who did not even participate. Syllabus was very confusing. Recorded lectures were terrible. You could hear every swallow when she took a drink. Terrible.
This teacher means business. The class is very demanding. Read that syllabus and prepare for a whirlwind of quizzes, papers, team projects, reading, online lectures, and speeches. She is a meticulous grader. Down to expressions on your face. When you leave this class, you will have learned or failed.
DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS if anything, take Nick Vera. Prof. Carr is a really strict grader. If you ask questions she'll refer you back to the syllabus or have you ask your group. She doesn't go into much detail about anything that she teaches, she basically reads right out of the book and then gets confused when students don't understand.
She's honestly not that bad. She's nice. I loved her class. I was very shy and did terrible on all of my speeches. But the last one she actually came up to me and offered to help me to do better. I passed that speech and ended up passing her class. She's easy. Always enjoyed going to her class. A lot of group work.
She is an extremely hard grader who will critique your speeches down. When asking for help she will refer you back to your syllabus which isn't all that bad due to the fact it is self-explanatory. If you truly apply yourself & stay on top of everything it's a pretty decent class , if you're a slacker don't expect to pass.
This was the easiest class i think i have ever taken.. Honestly all these bad reviews i think are from people that were to lazy or not responsible enough to look at the syllabus to know when things were due. I showed up for class late almost everyday, did all the projects the night before. missed having an A by 2 points, she bumped it up wo asking
The review below me is completely FALSE. Carr is a horrible teacher. She grades super hard and does not care to help her students succeed. I would recommend taking someone else. Im currently at student at UT Austin right now and i have taken way easier classes here at UT then Carrs class this past summer semester. DO NOT take her.
She is super tough. You can't skip more than one class and expect to do well. She will just refer you to the syllabus whenever you ask any question. She is very tough at grading and takes off a lot of points. If you take her, get a good group or it will suck for the rest of the year.
Try to be there every time
She is one of those teachers who is a bit hard to figure out. She helps you when you ask. However, she has a certain personality that is difficult for some students to comprehend or handle. She comes off as rude, but she really isn't. She expects a lot of work. This is one of the hardest classes I have taken so far, and I have 43 credit hours.
Proff. Carr does a lot of group work but its not bad. Overall I liked the class. I still don't know why speech is required but Ive had way worse. She let me give my speech late after I was out sick and didn't give me a hard time. She also stayed past office hours and helped me out. I like that she used Pinterst on our introductory speeches.
Pretty easy decent class. She gives a lot of feedback on the speeches and always has office hours. If you don't show up you miss a lot of point so don't skip. If you didn't do well on an assignment she works with you to re-do it. She cares about her students. She isn't going to hand you an A but she has your back.
Professor Carr wasn't very helpful. She didn't explain our speeches or assignments well. She would count off points if you didn't do the assignment "the way she would have done it." Would take at least 20% off of an assignment if it was not done "the way she would have done it." She doesn't care much for originality. Wouldn't recommend her.
Professor Carr was one of the best teachers I have had at East field. She is so sweet, helpful, and is amazing at teaching. I would take a class with her again.
Was a decent semester overall. Tough grading but was decently fair. Nice professor
Very fun class loved professor Carr she always asks if somethings wrong with you not hard to pass if you do your work. she works with you and even lets you make a speech up at the end of the semester. i loved her and would take her again if i could.
Public speaking is my weakness but I've found a way to tap into the internal speaker inside of me. Overall do your work and you will pass. Ms. Carr is a very reasonable person and if you are doing your job as a student then you will succeed in her class. I recommend this class.
Profesor Carr was very reasonable when it came to our assignments and speeches. She gives out a lot of extra credit opportunities which is awesome. Her silliness makes the class enjoyable. I did not have any complaints on this professor this semester. She was awesome.
She is very calm and understanding when it comes to dealing with personal situations. She expects you to read all the chapters that are listed on the syllabus when they are assigned. In order to do well on a quiz, you must read the chapters. Overall, if you do what she asks you will pass. (that includes every speech and read each assigned)
She does grade hard and can be a little difficult but if you need the help she is there. She does give chapter quizzes so be ready to read.
She is very helpful. I learned a lot about myself in this class
Professor Carr cares about her students and at the end of the day wants you to do well. If you show up and participate in the group exercises you will succeed in the course.
She's a great teacher. At times she can be a tough grader, but if you do the assignments and show up your good.
I won't say I necessarily liked her, she touched my hair a few times without my permission which really annoyed me but she was fair. I also didn't really like some of her assignments but she wasn't a horrible teacher. I would give her a B as a teacher.
All in all a great professor. The speeches were sometimes vague but overall it was a great class. There are several quizzes that come straight from the book so there will be somewhat bit of reading.
She always helps when you ask her for it and she doesn't take a long time to reply to emails.
Overall, she was an awesome teacher, she was willing to help if you had questions and she was extremely nice. I would definitely take her class again!
The speeches may be confusing to begin with but other than that, the class itself is easy.
She is a little weird, she is nice but weird. It is very hard to get a good grade even if you try your hardest. Probably wouldn't take this class again. Always says to look back at your syllabus. Not very helpful.
The first day of class we got to know our classmates, we then decided who would become our group members, and this class can either be your favorite, or your least liked. My experience, the teacher always interacted, answered and clarified, she encouraged communication with everyone in the class, definitely improved my communication skills!
I liked this speech class. You will have to put together speeches, and you will have group partners. Make sure you choose wisely about you work with so you don't end up being adopted by other groups in the class. She is funny and understands. Don't think you will not have to read your textbook because you will. Nonetheless sh's great.

She is a tough grader but the only work you basically get is the speeches you have to present and they are easy unless your outline doesn't match the one in the book then she will count points off. Other then that its a pretty basic class.
Expect to be in family groups for the entire semester, and doing a group prostitution with them. We used textbooks a lot for speech outline, group discussion, and expect to read the captures given by her and watch the lectures online of ecampus. She takes time in helping her students.
Sweet professor. Very helpful. She's willing to spend time with you before, during, and after class to get things done. Very understanding. I learned a lot about my ability to communicate during this class.
Great class. Loved all the group work and the class felt like a family. The speeches could be challenging but she was always willing to help before and after class.
You need to be in class to pass for sure. We get assigned into groups but its a good way to get more points. Her speeches were fun and she gives a bunch of positive feedback. Stays in contact and is available for office hours.
Expect to read the book, but she doesn't waste your time with "talking head lectures" she expects your to come prepared. I liked the team work aspects. Getting point for coming to class is so nice, boosted my grade. Had a bunch of fun coming to class and seeing the friends I made there.
Prof Carr is hilarious! I loved coming to this class. I took her for dual credit while in High school. She was so helpful and treated me like a college student, not a kid. It was a lot of work but I know I learned a lot for her this semester.
Aside from reading not too much time outside of class doing work. She has great office hours and will stay late to help you understand the material. She wants you to work hard but she doesn't give you more than you can handle. She is also very kind. Tough as a teacher but genuinely wants to see you do well in the course.
Professor Carr was awesome. I really loved this class. We were split into teams at the start of the semester and worked with them through the term. Her speeches were not dry or too difficult and she works with you during office hours if you need help. Not a big fan of public speaking but I almost enjoyed it by the end of the class.
Lots of points to earn during the term. She expects you to read before class. Her quizzes are straight from the book so it's easy to ace them. You do need to be in class or you won't get the class participation points. But that's a great way to get a grade boost at the end of the class. Really nice but expects you to do the work.
Ms. Carr loves what she teaches and it's obvious. She doesn't lecture at you like most of my teachers. She has lots of group work and you really get to know the people in your class. Still not a fan of public speaking but she helped me a lot.
I took this class for summer 1 and it was pretty good for online. We did discussion boards about peoples speeches they posted. It was nice to get feedback from my classmates. I also liked that I could speak in from of a smaller group and then post the video. Prof. Carr responded really fast to emails!
Took Prof Carr for Summer I. She assigned us to family groups for the semester. I liked the team work and her speech assignments were pretty cool. She answers emails back very quickly and will stay past office hours to help you. She expects you to read and be in class.
Took Mrs. Carr summer 1. The course was fast paced but not too much meterial crammed in. Our whole class got A's. She would have us bring outlines in and work with us on them in class. I liked that she was there to help walk is through the process.
I was having a lot of trouble with the technical side of the course. Mrs. Carr was great about emailing me back and making sure I didn't fall behind she even didn't dock me points for the late assignments. I was really grateful for her compassion. Aside from that she gave great feedback and was quick to respond to emails.
Mrs. Carr's online class was great. I have never enjoyed public speaking but her online class made it pretty painless. She wants your outline to be precise but she isn't a harsh grader. She is really quick to email you back if you have any questions or concerns. Attendance isn't mandatory since its online but you do have to watch all the speeches.
She is very confusing. Anytime I would try to ask a question to understand what we are doing, I would get a roundabout answer. One student asked what we were going to do next class and and it took him asking two more times to find out. What makes it worse is she grades very harshly and doesn't tell you what she wants until you mess up.
If there is another teacher available, please take them. I regret taking this class. She is very quick to give out C's and F's and will not tell you what she wants until she's already given you a failing grade for it. She is never clear on due dates nor expectations. Plus, she will literally insult her students then get confused when they're mad.
Yup, read all reviews before getting this class. Unfortunately I did not!!! This teacher is very hard to grade and in not explicit on what you need to do for some assignments. She does answer back quickly to your emails.
Took her class online, asked for help a few times. Wasn't really helped. Had to pay for the class and REVEL(year long access), even though the class was for a few months. Do not recommend her at all.
Ironically, she couldn't "communicate". The speeches assigned had poor instructions, left out elements that would be graded on, and all my questions were responded with "reference the book". The questions were, in fact, referencing the book. I couldn't get an answer. I received emails from other students asking if I knew what she was looking for.
I would not suggest this professor to anyone. It takes days to get a response, normally one without the answer to the question you were asking. Doesn't seem to care. Grading criteria never fully disclosed and when you ask she tells you you should have payed attention and maybe you would know... its an online class.. but ok.
This class shouldn't be taken with this professor. Although it is a communication class, she doesn't communicate but expects that you understand everything. She is honestly just rude. You won't get a direct answer and she will fail you for work that wasn't even yours. If you do take her make sure the grade she gives you is ACTUALLY YOURS.
Worst professor taken at Eastfield College, and I've taken many :( Insults students and then doesn't know why they get mad. Do not recommend at all. Did not read reviews.
Do not take this class, a warning should be enough for the wise.....
Professor Carr is one of THE WORST professors I have ever seen. Have a question? Don't expect an answer besides go back and read your book. Want to have a meeting? Good luck with that, she will blatantly ignore your request. She is 100% unwilling to assist you with anything you may have a question about. DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER!
She didn't teach us. She's very bad at grading, she takes no late work. She piles a bunch of work on her online students
This professor is unwilling to help, instead of helping students understand, she refers to the online documents. She grades on a rubix that is not available online. Although you meet all the requirements on the assignment she grades on what she would do rather than the assignment. Unwilling to adjust grade, she will not admit to being wrong.
I took Prof. Carr for SPCH 1311 as part of the dual credit program during my freshman year of high school at Eastfield. Her class was the first official college class in my life, and it was AMAZING! Of course, you need to put in effort, but if a 9th grader could do it, I am 100% sure you can too! Plus, I actually winged most of the speeches :)
As a university student(hates public speaking) who taken many hard classes this past year, when I tell you that her class was easy, I MEAN IT! And believe me, I took her class during high school! If you actually do your work, you can pass with an A+. I especially loved the project at the end where you act with your team! And she was always helpful!
Prof. Carr's class was hilarious! I love her and her sweet character! I aced that class and enjoyed the whole process! Best class ever taken in my life. She is always quick to answer emails too! And I loved my group! Met some amazing people through this class. I will pay top dollars for a teacher like her! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Do not take this class!! She can not communicate for anything! When I asked her questions she would go around it and never answered the question no matter how many times I asked. She is rude and complicated. She grades on how she likes it not on a rubric even if it shows a rubric.
She is the worst teacher ever. Idk how she ever got hired she sucks and is a disgrace to all teachers. Shes sucks at everything and she is the rudest of them all.
At the first half of the course she was a pretty good teacher. She responds to emails quickly. However, the last half of the course was another story. I think she grades to her preference, not the rubric. How she graded some assignments didn't make sense at all.
Directions were confusing. Grading was unfair. She was rude in her responses when I reached out to her.
Worst professor ever! Shouldve picked somebody else instead of this professor.
I had to take this online and not by choice. It was terrible. She doesnt explain anything well at all and you are left on your own to learn the material. She always grades very hard and wont give you any explanation of why you got a grade. I would take another professor for this class if possible.
Im taking her class right now online and shes horrible. She doesnt explain anything and is very rude when you email her when you ask questions. Please save your money and dont take her class, its not worth it.
This professor is rude and seems to grade based on her opinions rather than on a rubric as she should. Takes points off of assignments and marks sections down even when you followed the instructions to a T. Criticizes students HARSHLY and RUDELY. Do NOT recommend at ALL !!
If you're trying to either get the credit or learn something, Laura Carr ain't it! Never met a professor who posts the rubric after the assignment due date and harshly grades! It's quite the intensive class yet you are heavily penalized for things you do not know about. Highly suggest you take another professor.
inadequate ability to teach properly. she cant give clear and consistent instructions (she would literally change the directions right before it was due). would ask an assignment that she asked to be redone. she refuses to use preferred interface! i could not check my grade the entire class.
Worse f*cking professor I have ever had to deal with. She gave me a 1/100 for an assignment that followed all the proper instructions and was turned in on time.
DO NOT TAKE HER! SHE IS NOT A GOOD PROFESSOR AT ALL! SHE DOES NOT GRADE BY THE RUBRIC AND WHEN TRYING TO CONTACT HER, SHE DOES NOT REPLY. I ENDED UP DROPPING THE CLASS BECAUSE I WAS GOING TO FAIL IT ANYWAY! HER REMARKS ON YOUR PAPER WERE RUDE AS WELL. INSTRUCTIONS WERE CLEAR BUT YOUR ASSIGNMENT WASN’T!!!! HOW????
EXTREMELY unfair grading. i had no choice but to withdraw and file grievance. she doesn't care about students. her responses are short and hostile and does not tell you what you did wrong so you dont make the same mistake again. do not take this professor. dont do it to yourself. dcccd please remove her.
Worst professor I have yet to deal with. Grades extremely tough and does not give good feedback when asking for help with assignments. I would not recommend taking this class if you want a good grade. I was asking for help and she totally dismissed my question by giving me unrelated answers. Please be aware
very rude to students
This is by far one of the worst professors I've ever had. She clearly has an aversion to POC. Do not take this class.
the class assignments were easy but she was not a great communicator nor helper. online meeting you could tell she was not interesterd or cared that you were falling behind or had concern about certain things
Not sure how she still teaches here. I had to drop Carr and got a different professor instead. Save yourself the trouble and take Nicholas Vera instead,10/10 recommend Nick.
