As an adult "returning student" with a very minimum "hard science" background from high school, I must say that Dr Clifford is an exceptional professor. I entered into the course expecting the worst, but finished with a B. This directly relates to the office hours that she made availible & lecture notes. Be sure to take advantage and ask questions.

Her lectures are not good, she speeds through them and really doesn't give you time to write them down. But other than that, there is one HW assignment a week (infinite attempts, easy), willing to help at any corner, attendance is done through "iClicker" questions throughout the class. BEST GEN CHEM PROF AT OU THOUGH, PLEASE NOTE. do NOT go to Zhou

Really good prof, hard to keep up with in lectures because she goes *so fast*. Everything is available on canvas, but attendance is taken as an average grade. You get a notecard on exams and they are fairly difficult so you just need to spend time to study for it. The labs are extremely annoying and time consuming.

Very good with the amount of information presented but often gets rushed in the latter portion of the lectures. Offers extra credit and a multitude of ways to get help if necessary. Also very personable and easy to get along with. Attendance is done through iClicker but does not require you to be there every single day.

By far the best professor in the chemistry department. She gives extra credit, and SO MANY RESOURCES. There are worksheets for every lesson, and she posts her lecture slides in canvas. Attendance is graded by iClicker questions, but no worries if you get it wrong, because she'll give you the answer before she moves on. Would highly recommend.

Clifford is aware of how much chemistry sucks and works with students to fix that. Literally a five-minute explanation from her saved hours of studying. It was a struggle, but extra credit, class participation, and the homework having multiple attempts provided good padding. Textbook was not required but encouraged and available with the homework.

Clifford is a great professor and explains everything very thoroughly. She does teach kinda fast, especially in the first quarter of the semester, so I would recommend taking notes before class so you can just listen to the lecture. Really cares about her students. She makes the class as easy to digest as possible. Highly recommend.

She's really good at teaching the material and answering questions if you have them. If she goes on a side tangent during class it's normally very funny. After getting a 50 on my first exam I talked to her after class and she really inspired me that I could easily turn around my grade. If you take her class, do the learning objectives online.

Dr. Clifford over all has a great chem class. The main issue is she goes fast during lectures making them hard to take notes on. I just taught myself off of her slides which are, for the most part, very well done. Just put time into the class to learn and understand the concepts. She gives a ton of resources to learn with and gives extra credit.

Class is mandatory, the only issue i had was that she talked very fast. She was a good teacher but the exams were difficult, they covered subjects not discussed in class. I believe the class average was a 50. I had an A until the final so if you take her be prepared for exam questions over material not covered in class.

She is a good professor & cares for her students. Attendance is technically mandatory bc iclicker questions but can get it from someone else. The TA's are the ones that grade your assignments, they grade very easy. If you do good on the assignments, participation, HW, & lab but then dont do good at all on the exams you can still end with a B or A.

Professor Clifford makes it easier for students to learn chemistry but she is a very fast lecturer and will go through at least 2-4 units per lecture. Weekly assignments and exams are important but so is attendance. Personally, I recommend never skipping her lectures. Always ask questions if you're confused, she will stop for you.

Professor Clifford makes chem engaging with her humor and clear explanations. Attendance is mandatory but worthwhile - her lectures cover more than the textbook. Assignments are graded easily by TAs. For study prep, I found Unstuck study and the learning objectives online really helpful.

Dr. Clifford was my favorite professor at OU. I took her for Gen Chem freshman year and earned a high grade. Her frequent office hours were super helpful, and she always explained concepts clearly. We also discussed food toxicology (her PhD), nuclear chemistry, and many other topics. She's brilliant, kind, and engaging. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
