The teacher is very understanding and willing to work with students with deadlines. A lot of little assignments keep you from getting behind and allow you to do well on your finished writing assignments.

She is definitely an awesome teacher to have. You won't get bored in her class because she usually has a good sense of humor. She is very helpful with essays - can definitely help you improve your writing. She required minimal reading, and your grade is based on a portfolio of 4 essays that you work on throughout the entire semester.

First of all, she is really funny. She talks to her classes a lot . and not about papers. take her if you can. shes helpful, nice and fun. but you cant miss more than days or a whole letter point gets taken off your grade.

The nicest teacher I've had at KSU. She was very passionate about GWST and the material was always intresting. She cancelled a few classes so we had more time to prepare. 6-7 online WebCT meetings. This is discussion-based class so you must be comfortable sharing your opinions. 1 group project, 1 oral presentation, 5+ quizzes. Great class!

TAKE HER! I took her online Summer 08. All of the reading, 1/2 the time. On average you read about 1 book a week. Lots of discussions and a quiz for every book. It's not all easy but she's AWESOME. She's fair and helpful and you can tell she loves what she does which makes a huge difference.

This class was super easy. Best English class I've ever had. She gives you time to edit your papers and conference with her, then turn them in at the end of the semester. She's really nice, funny, and understanding. She helped me love writing again, and I improved my writing a lot with this class.

Nicest teacher ever! Very clear and wants her students to succeed. She is a student's teacher. With that said, READ THE BOOKS! There is no way to get around it. If you read the books, you will get an A easily. If not, you will be in that B or C range. The 1st half of the class is hard, but the 2nd half gets easy as the books get shorter. Take Her!

She is amazing! I took her for 8-week 2110 Online and she is just so helpful and wants every student to do well. As long as you actaully read the books you are guaranteed to do well because everything comes straight from the assigned books and she is VERY straighforward about what she expects from you. Prof. Davis is excellent. I took her online course. She is interested in all of her students doing well. There is a great deal of reading for this type of class, but as long as you do the readings the tests and discussions are very easy. The book choices were great. Most of the books were fairly recent and easy to read. Very easy to receive an A!

Dr. Davis took over our class after the professor left for health concerns. She's so funny and helpful! She makes research papers not so intimidating and gives us prompts that are actually engaging. She does her best to help out any student who needs it and has such a postivie attitude. Pretty important considering I took her for an 8am class.

Highly recommend Dr. Davis. There are four essays for the course and the grade received is not final. She tells you how to get the grade you desire and then turn in the essays at the end of the class for the final, which is the new grade. Very understanding, nice, and genuinely cares about her students. Will take her again if given the chance.

She's very helpful and open to new ideas and concepts. There is a lot of reading but it is a COLLEGE ENGLISH class so if you don't like to read you shouldn't be taking it. Took this class online over the summer. Terrible mistake. We had to read 8 novels in eight weeks. WAY too much if you are responsible for other classes that also required a lot of reading. He expectations are unrealistic.

The best! I kept putting off this class until my friend recommended her to me. I took this class online and I put about 30 minutes of work into it a week. Easy A and I hate reading. To be honest I really did not read. Discussion post are graded on response not length. Quizzes for the 7 or 8 books are easy. Very sweet and understanding.

Took her online. Did not read a single book and finished with a high B. Participate in the discussions and do all your work & you'll be fine. She is super understanding and is not a hard professor at all. I would take her again! One of the easier online courses I've taken

My minor is in GWST so this is my introductory class and I couldn't have had a better instructor. Dr. Davis is wonderful. You do have lots of reading and discussion posts but its all over interesting topics. Tests aren't too hard and you're well prepared with the handouts you are given--even with the final exam.

I took GWST intro online and loved it! Ms. David is very sweet and is always ready to help. All of her lectures were very thought provoking. Get ready to do a bunch of discussion posts thought. I highly recommend this class! Awesome professor!

Took Dr. Davis' class over the summer online - he does an excellent job of laying out the requirements, weekly assignments, & all materials that you'll need! Super organized & wants her students to do well. We read 6 entire books & 2 partial. Discussions and quizzes aren't difficult if you read and participate. Couldn't ask for a better professor!

Professor Davis is very nice and really wants her class to succeed. This class consisted of just discussion boards, an activism project, and a couple tests. She makes sure that she does not overload you with work and always gives more than enough time to complete work. She is also not a tough grader at all. As long as you try, you will get an A.

Wonderful professor. I took this class as a filler and enjoyed it. We read 5 books and watched 2 movies on Netflix. Discussion Boards, 2 Tests ,Final, and the Activity project make up your overall grade. She gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit. Read, participate in discussion boards and submit assignments on time and you should get an A.

Dr. Davis is great at motivating you to do the work despite having a heavy course load (particularly during the summer). She offers an extra credit opportunity, and makes the quizzes fairly easy as long as you read.

Dr. Davis is such a nice lady and really cares about you! Super easy to follow instructions which is rare for online classes. Be prepared to read A LOT though, if you like reading you'll really enjoy her class. There are due dates for discussion posts every week and quizzes about every other week, no biggie if you turn a post in a day late though!

Professor Davis is a rare gem in the world of online teaching. Her approach makes the class feel way more personable than many other professors with her "assignment docs" that are charmingly created as if she were speaking directly to you. Do the reading and be thoughtful in what you write and you'll do great! Lots of reading but very low stress.

I love this prof. So easy. Discussion posts, online tests after each unit (open notes and she basically gives you the answers in a doc), and a community service project. There were a lot of books to read and movies to watch, but I really enjoyed them. You can get by only reading a few chapters and faking it though. Easy A, great teacher. Take it.

This semester was rough because of the Corona Virus but she was so sweet and wanted to know that how we were doing throughout this pandemic. The absolute best professor I've ever had! I wish I had taken more classes with her! There is a lot of reading for this course but it's interesting material and the discussions posts are really easy as well!

this might be the sweetest professor at KSU. yes you have to read a lot, but if you put in the basic effort it is so rewarding. fascinating books and you can tell she gets so happy when the students actually read. she made it feel like she cared about what we had to say and was there for us if we needed it. absolute angel woman

She's an absolute treasure. Super sweet and understanding especially in the time of COVID. There are several texts to read, but they're interesting and you could read a few chapters and still do great. Weekly discussions and quizzes are super easy.

I cannot express how much I love this professor. I had to email her to see if she had any more courses because of how amazing she is. I was in the middle of my first exam when the website crashed and underwent maintenance, which gave me a 0. I emailed her and she was so understanding. Not only that, but you can truly tell how much she cares.

Easiest class I had to take. She was very easy! Only assignments were discussion posts that were based on books we were reading. They were not too bad. We have tests for each unit but they're online and open note so it's basically an easy A. She is a very caring teacher overall and wants you to learn something from this course. TAKE HER!

My class was listed wrong as an 8-week course, but Dr. Davis was incredible in helping us adjust to a 4-week class. She was really caring and genuinely cared about what we had to say and our enjoyment in the subject. Her class had very heavy readings, but that was to be expected. I would love to take one of her classes again.

She was very helpful during my first summer semester, and she was organized. She makes sure you are not overwhelmed in her class and will accommodate everyone because she understands we all have a different path. She is an easy grader and few assignments, but don't slack or it will catch up to you :)

I had Dr. Davis for South Asian Lit! Going in, I was kinda hesitant because I'm South Asian and I felt weird about a person who ISN'T South Asian teaching the class, but I definitely feel like she did a great job at letting me express my opinions on the subject matter! I really enjoyed this class, I would take it again if I could!

By far the easiest online course I have taken!! All we had to turn in were disscussion boards, and at least two exams as well as a final. She is very caring and understanding, willing to work with you. Interesting lectures and wants you to succeed in the class, take her!!!

I took ENGL 3330 with Dr. Davis and it was one of my favorite classes over the summer. Four required books with discussion posts on each and an essay as the final. Four week semester required a book a week but it was definitely doable if you can sit down and read for hours at a time. Dr. Davis was a very easy grader and gave great feedback on work.

Professor Davis is an exceptional teacher and puts a lot of time and care into students needs. The class was very easy if you're willing to write a good bit and she provides a "weekly assignments" folder so you always know what's due and when it's due. One of my favorite professors at KSU.

I know other students in my section of the course disagreed, but I personally found the course to be pretty easy. I didn't do most of the reading, but I got an A on both tests because they're open note. Discussion post every week and the final was three lengthy essays. She's really easy to reach by email.

Reading assignments can range from entire books/movies (that you have to buy) to short documents. She is very enthusiastic about the topics and is very nice. Her grading system is fairly easy and hard to fail. The only downside was buying the books/movies($60+). (Don't feel pressured to read the weekly documents or readings fully)

She's the sweetest professor. Readings were relevant and impactful. Take her.
