I had her in Fall 2003 and she was so easy. And you have to go to class, but you are paying for it. That's a given. Participation makes up a large portion of the final grade. You also have to read for her random chapter quizzes. She's nice if you are too.

The class was not hard. All you have to do is show up, do the homework, and read. Nothing that isn't required in other classes. The rest of you are whiny slackers.

Ms. Delgado has a lot of things due in the first weeks but after that her class is a breeze, for all those people that have negative things to say, I guess you don't belong in college anyway if you think her class is hard.

She's a hard teacher, but a pretty good one. The particular class I took was interesting to me so that may have made the difference.

She is a great teacher. Yes class is hard, yes there is a lot of work, but this is college. She front loads her class so if you keep on schedule the second half of the semester is easy. She also works hard to make class interesting.

Yea, she's hard, but its because she wants you to actually learn something. For most of us in my class, the information pertained to our future careers and she cared that we learned it. There are a lot of assignments, especially quizzes, but if you keep up, you can do well.

The assignments were not hard although she did grade them very hard and there was a lot of homework.

Dr. Delgado is very difficult but she teaches you a lot. She comes on very strong but don't let it scare you. She gives a lot of exra credit and many chances to bring up your grade. You have one presentation and four tests.

Delgado is a good teacher. You have to show up to class, do the homework and read. That's it. If you that, you will have no problems getting an A or a B. she drops the lowest test grade, so you can opt out of taking the final if you want to. She seems intimidating, but she really cares. Take her!

She demands a lot of work and effort on your part, but she's an excellent teacher. If you do what she tells you to do and go to her for help if you need it, it's worth it. I worked my butt off in her class, but I learned a lot, and she appeals to lots of learning styles- she doesn't just lecture.

The class is rough the 1st 8 weeks b/c she assigns a lot of big projects. Come to class and show her respect and it won't be bad. Overall she's not a bad teacher.

She's a hard teacher, but she makes learning fun. She doesn't just lecture- she gets class involvement so you can better understand what she's talking about. Go to class and participate (especially in your study groups)- it's worth extra credit!!!

She's a great teacher. I feel she knows a lot in her field and that is why people think she works them hard. She "know's" what she's teaching. If you need help she will help you. She is also a great person to talk to about problems in/out of class because she will help you. strongly recommended. You will learn more about people and about yourself.

This is the best class/teacher I have had at Semo, watch out for her grading scale though. An "A" doesnt start untill 92%

I really enjoyed her class. It is alot of work and, but not difficult if you do the work. She uses alot of discussion to keep things interesting in class. I really enjoyed her class.

gets class involved so it's not just a boring lecture class

She is a very straight forward in what she is teaching and you either take her serious or you don't take the class. She gives opportunities for extra credit so do them because they made the difference in my grade. If you ask for help eairly on she is open to give you extra help, but if you wait till the night before the test she won't bother.

She keeps the class fun and exciting. Anyone who went through adolescence and will talk about it can get an A. It's not the easiest class, YOU HAVE TO READ THE BOOK! All the quizzes and tests come straight from the chapter, so if you keep up with the reading you'll do fine in the class

Work hard and you will do fine in the class. She is probably one of the better teachers I have had so far in College and I'm a Junior. People that complain about her are just upset because they didn't try. My group and I had to do a presentation on Mass Media and everyone in our group did good besides one person who just named off movie titles.

all of my classes strongly depend on how much my teachers make it interesting and i absolutely loved taking py 101 with her. she is understanding of students who go to class and show they are interested. she really appreciates class participation. its just that u have to go to class and take notes. she gives easy notes and good examples.

helpful and offers a lot of bonus points; dont' ask stupid questions and always have your "clicker" and homework and you'll be fine

She isn't an easy teacher, but she offers tons of bonus points and in class points that are very easy to earn if you come to class and do the bonus points.

She cares about her subject and her students. I learned so much in this class. If you like to skip class or not do homework, this is not the professor for you. You will use your book a lot and their are quizzes after every reading. The tests are not hard, once you realize how she designs the test. You get to drop 1 test throughout the year...s

I loved her. It is alot of reading material...but she gives so many points from quizzes and in class participation that even if you don't ace a quiz you can still pass the class with a A or a B...but you must attend class!!!

This class can be interesting if you don't take it at 8:00am. She gives you several options for projects and the psychological disorders game was awesome. There is more reading in this class than a person is actually capable of, so be selective. Ask questions and never miss class. She respects those who respect her time.

She talks to the class like their seven and that's annoying. The class though is pretty easy. Universities cannot give attendance points but she finds a way around by giving participation points. it's dumb. Quizzes are easy even if you don't study and theirs plenty of points to get a good grade.

I would highly reccomend Ms. Delgado!! She knows her stuff high and low, and somehow finds a way to make class interesting. Attendance wasn't mandatory, but be sure you're there on days you have quizzes and in class activities!

She's a pretty good teacher. Some of the work is hard, but as long as you read the text and show up to class occassionally, you'll be fine!

This class was a piece of cake! She seems intimidating at first but she really isn't. She is straight foward.

Take her! She's nice once you get to know her. Go to her class regularly and she'll love you for it. I made an A without taking the final. For the quizzes, look over the chapter and you'll get 100%. It just wasn't that hard.

She's very energetic and definitely likes the students who work hard. Her class is not an easy one, but she's a good lecturer. Read the book and take good notes. She can be intimidating at first but she's really nice.

She is awesome. I was reading others' comments & totally would have to disagree with some. She is very helpful especially when it comes to the test and she keeps the class interesting. I would definitely take her again.

This teacher is very straightforward. She gives very clear notes, which is exactly where the info for the test comes from. Weekly reading quizzes aren't hard either, but you have to read the chapter.

She is very clear in what she expects from the stuents and she holds you to it. Her syllabus has everything you need to know in it.READ IT. There are quizes once a week if you want to pass it you have to read the assignment. While it was a challenging class it was a fun class. She did things besides stand and talk. She gets people involved

I absolutely loved this class. Yes, it does make you work. She definitely is not a teacher who is more concerned with educating not popularity. Read your book do practices quizzes and do assignment and you'll have an easy A.

LOVED taking her class,I've actually taken 2 of her classes because I knew what to expect.Not the easiest class, but she tells you exactly what she expects.Tests are somewhat easy if you study. Not crazy about the clickers (usu a waste of time)but it made quizzes quicker!Overall, a great teacher :)

Very fun, helpful teacher who genuinely cares about the success of her students. She is vivacious and great at explaining things. Tells you exactly what she expects of you. Make sure you attend class!

This class is pretty hard. You have to go to almost every class not to get a bad grade. There is a pop quiz at least once a week with only 5 questions and if you don't go to class you get a 0. The tests are pretty hard too unless you study a lot. You also have to read the entire book - that's what the quizzes are on. She is a good teacher but hard.

Mrs. Delgado is a really good teacher. She tries hard to make everyone understand the content. The trade off though is that you have to attend class because she gives quizzes over the reading. She also has a pretty big group project. The class isn't too hard. You just have to work for an A rather than her just giving it to you.

Really, she's one of my favorite instructors. She knows her stuff and her lectures are fun and interesting. Didn't really care for her group assignment, and sometimes it is difficult to figure out what she wants from you. But overall, I loved her class.

She really is a great teacher. You have to do reading quizzes over every chapter in the book. It's the best psychology class I've taken though. She keeps the class highly involved. The tests are application not so much "spitting answers from the book" back.

I enjoyed this class and got an A, but you have to go to every class and pay attention to the discussions. She gives a lot of participation points. If you don't pay attention in class and just read the book you will not do well on the exams. Exams are all multiple choice but they are applied questions.

Overall she cares about you a lot if you are a psych major. but not if you are anything else unrelated

Expect to read the entire textbook and be willing to speak up in class. If you do your reading the quizzes and exams are a breeze and mostly just common sense questions. When she speaks in front of the class she's very lively and somewhat expects that from her students in return. Overall, it's a pretty easy class if you do your reading.

This professor is willing to help you if you need it. If you read the chapters and take notes the tests will be no problem. This class is a lot of fun.

She makes class interesting but has kind of a snooty attitude. Lots of tests, quizzes, and homework. Lectures often go on past the time class is supposed to end. She cares a lot about this subject and expects you to care just as much. Make sure you read every chapter assigned.

She's an amazing professor, she loves what she does, and cares. Doesn't like it when people goof off, if you're not willing to put in the work, then don't expect a good grade, and don't even bother taking her class, it's a waste of her time. She wants to see her students do well, and is willing to help. Be willing to read, and do presentations.

She's a good teacher and you can tell she cares about the subject. Lectures are enjoyable and we do a lot of activities. Every Friday we have "Friday Fun Day" where we work on a group assignment (sometimes she cancels class those days). Make sure you read the assigned chapters because you have a quiz over it the next class period.

I was a freshman and an athlete when I took this class and from the moment I came in she was loud and in charge. After the first fee days I wasn't a fan but she grows on you after a while. Gives quizzes offen. Friday funday is always a blast. But be prepared to study. Overall she is a fun and interactive professor. Would deff take again.

Mrs. Delgado is the best professor I have ever had. She is so kind, encouraging, and understanding. A group presentation on suicide showed a clip that was triggering to someone who has experienced suicidal thoughts and I had to leave the room. After class, Mrs D talked to me in the hallway to make sure I was okay and I will never forget that.

Delgado is a professor you want to take. She provides many opportunities for you to succeed. You will want to show up to class for daily participation point and to take notes. Her tests are easy if you go to class.

Mrs. Delgado is a gem! She reminds me of a high school teacher. She's sweet, personable, and you can tell she really cares about what she's doing. Her class was really easy, but her tests cover the information she discusses in class. If you don't pay attention to her lectures, you won't do well. Take good notes and study those, and you'll be fine!

Dr. Delgado is awesome. She has a great way of explaining things and really knows how to get a concept across. Her tests are mainly class discussion, but if you pay attention at all you will do well.

I really wasn't a fan at first. She comes off as intimidating and even rude at times in the beginning of the semester. I have to admit though, she does grow on you. Her lectures are engaging and participation is welcomed. If you would've told me at the beginning of the semester that I'd respect her this much now, I would've called you crazy.

She really knows what she is talking about. You really have to show up for class, but she makes the material interesting and engaging. I truly enjoyed this class.

If you are a terribly sensitive person Delgado can come off as sarcastic or callous, however this is truly just her sense of humor and she didn't come off mean-spirited to me at all. There are regular quizzes and one paper, if you pay attention in class you won't have a problem with passing.

Good prof and relatively easy. Just put in some effort and you'll get a good grade. You'll need your textbook because the weekly quizzes reflect the chapters. Delgado was amazing with improving the class's understanding by using real-world examples. Tests weren't very difficult, mainly reflected lectures and textbook reading. Just pay attention

Very good teacher based on her real-world examples. The quizzes for her class are so simple that if you know anything about psychology you will get 100s w/o reading. Her tests are easy if you put in a little bit of studying. Delgado cares about her students and if you make yourself known by participating she will be more willing to help

She is a tough grader and is pretty particular in both grading and running her classroom. However, she makes a good effort to get to know her students and is reasonable in her expectations. She was kinda brisk at first, but the class warmed up to her soon and we had a good time. Weekly quizzes are to be expected, but they areeasyifyoureadthechapter

A lot of people dont like Dr. Delgado because of the amount of work she assigns but, every single thing she assigned had a purpose. I feel so much better prepared after her class and i dont regret taking it at all. The other common complaint is her personality. She is a sassy gal, so if you cant take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

At first, I did not like Delgado at all. But the more I came to class, the more I actually enjoyed being there. She's actually really funny and a great teacher if you just give her a chance! I'm very excited to have her again next semester.
