Very friendly and easy, but I got by with an A and didn't learn much

Breaks things down, mostly speaks in English

nice at times, spoke in English a lot, not much class discussions, learned a lot

She is so nice.... definately the best at GVSU. Very understanding....

She is one of the nicest people i have ever met. She really wants you to learn and pass her class which is pretty easy. She should of been a 1st grade teacher but she doesn't treat you like a child.

I don't know if it was just because I had her for an upper division course, but she was a pretty tough grader. I guess take her if you're in a 100 or 200 level course, but there are easier graders out there for 200 level (Fuentes)

She doesn't seem to want to get to know me how my other profs did... but she's still fun. crazy, but fun. I'm a dual enrollment student and have only been studying spanish for a year, and she (to me anyways) is pretty easy to understand. good time so far

TAKE HER! She explains everything, and makes it easy. She also speaks more English that other profs so that's always good.

If this is your last sem. of spanish, TAKE FOX! She's so easy! If you show up to class and do your work and put in a minute amount of study time, you'll coast right through! If you are going on, I would recommend a dif. prof. She has a very American accent.

Great Prof. Everything is stated of what is expected. I would recommend her to anyone, she really makes GVSU look good.

If you're not into Spanish & want to coast through, take Fox! She is very easy & incredibly helpful as well. She is willing to meet outside of class & makes the class quite fun.

For anyone who is forced to take spanish and really doesn't like it this is the professor you should take! She's so easy and I wish I would've taken her for all 3 semesters!

Very good teacher. She is able to explain what she is talking about and is willing to help students when they need the help. Tests are not that hard and are easy to follow. If you want a good Spanish teacher, I would recommend taking her class.

She is an awesome professor. I am taking her again for 201. She makes espanol extremely easy to follow and she knows how to teach it. Highly recommended.

Professor Fox is a great professor to have when you are just learning Spanish but I would not reccommend taking her for and higher level corses. You do not learn much with her because she is so easy. Nice lady, I will admit but not the best teacher for students wishing to pursue a degree in Spanish.

fox is a great teacher to take spanish with. she makes the class go by fast with fun conversations and jokes. the homework was light and tests are not too hard.

This class was so easy with Fox. However, it was also very boring and most of the time class seemed usless. Too bad she keeps track of attendance.

I like Professor Fox a lot. She is very helpful and the class was pretty easy. As long as you go to the lab, do your homework (most didn't), and know what's going on during class, you will do awesome.

Great professor, after my AWFUL experience with Sanborn I was afraid to take this course again but she's great! I haven't got below a 94% on any test, so far (only a couple left...). She really helps you understand the concepts and her study guides are everything that's going to be on the test, no surprises :-)

Fox is a great prof. She is very entertaining in class, she is always willing to help, you always know what is exactly going to be on the test and makes spanish easy! I wish i could have her for all my spanish classes!

After failing out of this class last semester (DO NOT TAKE SANBORN!) I was nervous about trying again but 'Profesora' Fox was amazing! She was so clear in what you needed to do. I always learned just what I needed to learn. Things I couldn't grasp before became easy! Always gave study guides before exams with EXACTLY whats gonna be on it.

Easy prof. made spanish easy and she goes over the subjunctive until everyone understands it. i would definitly reccommend her.

She is a great prof if you're looking for an easy class. She speaks english a lot, which is not always a good thing in a higher level spanish class. She is very nice and definitely wants everyone to succeed, good class.

Profesora Fox is awesome! She is very helpful and really cares about her students. She makes class fun and is a fair grader and very flexible. Not always a good thing to have such an easy higher level class, but she is still a great professor.

Professor Fox is the sweetest and most friendly prof I've ever had! She's always in a good mood and is always willing to help. The class was a lot of fun. She's not a native speaker, so she talks in English sometimes which is nice. The class was pretty relaxed and easy. I am definitely planning on taking her again!

I liked Prof. Fox, but she wasn't the professor for me. She's a very nice person and a very good professor, she just simply didn't work for me. She sticks to the syllabus and expects you to do the work for the grade. Overall: Take her, she's good - put expect to work.

Prof Fox is the coolest. Some say her accent is not so good, but I think it makes her human. If she makes mistakes too, then I don't feel like a complete idiot when it happens to me. She was the FIRST prof at GVSU that actually told my class to speak SPA and set aside time for us to practice. With other profs you only practice in front class.

I love Prof Fox! She is an amazing teacher. She is American so Spanish is her second language but she has a great knowledge of the language. She makes everyone feel comfortable whether or not they are awesome in Spanish. She has helped me in the classroom and with other things i needed outside such as study abroad and internship. I highly recommend

Prof Fox is amazing! She is so friendly and helpful and always in a good mood. Grades are based on homework assignments that are randomly collected, quizzes every few weeks, 2 "projects" which are really like long homework assignments, and 2 exams. It's a fairly easy class; as long as you attend class and do the homework you'll do great!

She is a great teacher but there were only a few lectures where I felt like I was learning something. She speaks in English quite a bit which isn't good for higher level spanish classes. Easy A, small homework every class, never make you feel stupid, flexible, good class overall.

Waste of time. She is a great person and I know she means well, but I learned...nothing. It was probably the most frustrating class I have taken so far. This is supposed to be advanced grammar, yet the majority of the class was taught in English. Her English accent is stronger than most of my classmates. To get an A, take her. To learn, don't.

Really nice prof who really wants her students to do well. She's is a fun teacher and tries to get everyone involved. It does kind of feel like a High School Spanish class and she does speak in English a lot. If you put in a little effort, you'll get an A. Not the greatest prof to learn a Spanish from, but her classes are painless and pretty fun.

She has really good intentions and she is really nice but she treats her students like they are still in high school. Really easy class. There are a lot of 10 or 15 point quizzes and an oral midterm and oral final. I would recommended her.

very nice teacher, also the easiest to understand. she speaks the language very clearly, and makes sure that you know what's going on in the class. she even speaks english occasionally. be prepared for two oral exams though.

Sra. Fox really wants you to succeed, but the class is almost too easy, not that I'm complaining about that. There is a lot of busy work. There are exams every couple of weeks and the final is cumulative. I definitely recommend her.

Fox is amazing. She is willing to help you whenever you need it. The class helped me learn the WHY of spanish grammer- not once did we have to memorize verb charts! She is very animated and a fun professor. I learned so much in this class. Take her- you won't regret it!

I absolutely love how my class is set up with Laura Fox. I would not say class is easy, but it is absolutely set up for you to get by with a relatively easy A maybe B. Just do the work and ask questions when you're lost or confused and she will happily help you and work with you. One of the nicest teachers! She genuinely cares about you & teaching.

Teaches much of the class in English. Very simple class. She knows what she's talking about but gets sidetracked easy. Overall very fun-loving and cheerful, and willing to help. Would recommend.

Professor Fox is an amazing Spanish Professor! At first, I was nervous that her Advanced Spanish Grammar class would be difficult, but she has a way of explaining things that make grammar easy to understand. I completely understood everything we studied because of her lectures. She improved my Spanish, and I hope to have her as a professor again!

Professor Fox is so kind and helpful. She actually made Advanced Spanish Grammar fun (who knew it could be?)! There is homework due every class period, but it's not difficult. I would take this class again in a heartbeat! If you're taking this class, choose her!!

Really cares. Makes you work for your grade, but thats to be expected with any language class. Really knows her stuff. Ask questions if you dont understand anything!

Professor Fox is an awesome professor. The homework assigned via SuperSite was a little much sometimes, but it did not make up for a lot of the overall course grade. I would recommend, especially to those who are not over confident in their Spanish, as she is always willing to help outside of class and after class.

Profesora Fox is a nice lady with a caring heart. she likes to start each day by asking about the lives of her students and she shows that she's truly interested. there is homework online every night but it is very easy and you can use the book/vocab/etc. there are tests in every unit but if u do the homework and classwork youll be fine. Lots of EC

I really liked professor Fox. I feel like "advanced grammar" isn't going to be fun no matter who is teaching it but she made it very easy with all the handouts and helpful methods to actually understand the grammar. Very dedicated to her students and is always willing to help when you don't understand something

She is very caring and very helpful. I found her class a bit boring but maybe it's more because the subject itself is a bit boring. Her class is pretty easy though. We turn in worksheets after almost every class. My only complaints might be that her quizzes are very long and she hasn't totally gotten the hang of how to teach via online meetings.

Laura Fox is such an amazing teacher- she is so organized, caring, and understanding. Her 309 class made me understand grammar (especially Pret vs Impef, ser v estar, and subjunctive) seriously an amazing class, even given the content. Take Laura Fox!!

She's such a sweetheart, very little lecturing, pretty much every single day is an activity and the homework and activities actually prepared you for tests. Pretty relaxed grader and always willing to talk to you and help you out. Really loved her energy and I could tell she actually cared about me and everybody else.

This class was structured perfectly. I learned a lot and I can tell that my Spanish skills improved. There was a good amount of homework for each class, but it was perfectly reasonable and very helpful. Lectures could get boring sometimes, but she is very good at explaining things and makes sure that you are understanding everything.

Love her but she will call you out in front of the whole class if you forgot to do your homework. Makes jokes and encourages the students to talk to each other, even if it's in English.

Love Prof. Fox! She is the funniest, most caring professor I have ever had at GV so far. Her class workload is very reasonable (HW after each quiz, periodic quizzes and tests), and her lectures are amazing. I came in thinking I wouldn't learn new material, yet I have learned better ways to remember the most difficult Spanish grammar topics.
