She is an excellent professor. She even makes learning chemistry fun. We do fun projects almost every week and she gives prizes to motivate us. I hope that she teaches next semester.

She's one of the best science professors I ever had! Her teaching style is different from the usual professors. She usually lectures and then shows an interesting video. She lets us use molecule kits to help us visualize. There is also a fun video group project. She gives around 4 quizzes and two exams. There is a lot of extra credit too!

I took her CHEM 215 course in my last year because I honestly had a fear of how difficult it could be from a previous CHEM class I took with a terrible instructor. As it turns out, my fear was misplaced, and the more I participated the more confident I became in the material I was learning. Prof. Friedland is by far one of the best Prof. at NYIT.

Laura Friedland is the nicest, most caring professor who's goal is really to help you learn. She gave extra help on days we didn't have class and encouraged us to reach out whenever we needed help. I took professor Friedland in spring 2021 during the pandemic for Bio-organic chem. Having your camera on was mandatory for attendance, which helped me focus more in class & learn. She gives handouts to print and work on. If you study & practice her handouts, go to extra help, lectures you will 100% pass. She cares for students & wants them to pass

I was expecting this class to be much harder than it actually was, she has found a way to turn tough topics into topics I actually looked forward to learning. Prof is really straightforward. Lecture goes pretty slowly so upside is that everyone in the class understands everything. Answers any questions you have, and very available outside of class. Grades are quizzes every week that only require light review and 3-4 exams. You'll pass as long as you don't slack every class.

Professor Freidland is an amazing professor, she truly cares about her students. Although attendance isn't counted towards your grade I high suggest attending class because there are many extra credit opportunities which will only help you. Laura is a sweet and caring professor, if you need help you can text her and schedule office hour appointments for tutoring very easily. If you miss lecture you can fall behind easily. There are quizzes every week and 3 lecture exams so very quiz and test heavy. But she does give lots of opportunities for extra credit which boost grades.

Great professor. Most important thing to do is to attend class and get the notes since they are a major key into passing a quiz or exam. Overall an easy class with an easy way to get extra credit points.

Loved her I highly recommend. Although she's very particular with somethings, there are so many opportunities to improve your grade with extra credit. Very understanding when I was sick and had to miss a quiz. She makes sure that she holds review sessions for extra help and makes sure you understand the material.

The class was easy and there is a lot of opportunities for extra credit as long as you participate. She offered bio at bedtime every Tuesday night to prepare for the quiz or exam the next day.

Professor Friedland exemplifies what it means to be both a challenging and supportive professor. Her deep knowledge of biochemistry is immediately apparent in her lectures. She has a remarkable ability to explain difficult biochemical pathways and molecular interactions in ways that make them accessible without oversimplifying the science.

She is so caring and is always willing to help her students .She has a lot of extra credit opportunities if you're willing to take it.Always available for extra help.She even does review on zoom for upcoming exams and quizzes.But sometimes she does like to trick students on quizzes and exams but beware if you study you will be good.

Dr. Friedland is the best. This is my second time having her because I had to withdraw the first time. She is really smart, knows the material and is always available to help all students. There is always a line out of her door so make sure to make an appointment.

Dr. Friedland is a very good professor. Always available for us and often brings us food so that we can focus on the challenging lessons. There is a long wait outside of her door with students so make sure that you arrive early. I used to hate chemistry but now I love it.

Never really enjoyed chemistry till I came into her class. I highly recommend her. She is very sweet, caring and will give extra points if you participate. Personally, I feel like I learn in her class and get the whole experience. I always look forward coming to her class. She takes time for her students to understand. Truly one of a kind professor

She's very nice and understanding. You don't have to worry about asking questions because she won't bite your head off, she'll actually encourage you to ask questions and help fill in any gaps in your knowledge in a kind way.

She is one of the best professors I've ever had. She really helps make the material you learn in an otherwise decently hard class very easy to know. If you have her for any class she is the best, gives chances for extra credit and is a genuinely nice professor. Would take again very much so
