Professor Gabiger acts like she cares about you and doing well, but the truth is quite the contrary, she enunicates every word, which makes her annoying quite quickly, she butts into people's business constantly, don't waste your time, choose someone else

she sucks at teaching. if u are not enthusiastic then she doesnt bother with you. she can be very rude and intrudes on people's personal lives. she runs her class like high school (makin people stay after class) what a joke! *dont take her class! waste*

Professor Gabiger is a joke. DO NOT take her class. This woman speeks in circles and makes no sense. When you don't understand what she is trying to say she will get mad and flip out. She is a washed up burnt out lady who woke up one morning and decided to make our lives miserable. Dont take her!

Definitely not someone that I would take again-the weirdest teacher ive ever had. Wouldn't recommend anyone to have to sit through class from hell. Don't take her!!!!!!!!

she like to choose favorites and lets you know if she likes/dislikes you. missed one class and threatened to drop me. the ultimate **** who knows what she's talking about-- but extremely biased.

When she dislikes you it shows. She is very biased and thinks its her way or the highway. I would never recommend her to anyone. Its people like her who make people like me wanna drop out. She dislikes people who are different than she is and is very nosy. She buts in to conversations and is always late. She never leads by example and she sucks.

she's awful and cruel and uses a round about method of talking. her class is pointless and class has spent countless weeks learning nothing but how to cite a paper. not to mention the fact that she is just plain weird

Ridiculous teacher, cares more about staples in work then grading assignments. Treats all students like we are in elementary school. Do not take her class.

She is a terrible teacher and does not explain anything. No one knows what's on the final. She is also extremely unfair and does not take life outside that classroom into consideration. There is no compassion for the student or any problems they may be having. Do not take her class.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Class is tortuous. I couldn't understand why someone who obviously despises young adults would chose to work w/ them. Does not treat her students like adults but rather children-DEFINITELY should have considered being a high school teacher so that she could get her powertrip off people who are not considered legal adults. AWFUL

Accused a friend of plagiarism, eventually was found INNOCENT, refuses to believe in her students, worse professor on the planet. I dont know how she has this job?! NEVER TAKE HER!! One of the worst professor's I have come in contact with. Rude, disrespectful and treats students like crap and little kids. Rants on about non-sense, taught me nothing and her assignments are never clear, and god-forbid you need help. NEVER TAKE HER. Says we need to act like adults, well maybe she should take her own advice, b/c she has no respect

Probably hands down worst professor I've ever had. She is so confusing with her assignments, talks in circles and gets nothing accomplished in class. Don't know why or how she became a professor, but do NOT take her!

I will tell you one thing this prof sucks! Never take her, only if you want to hear someone try to seem smart by trying to use words she dose not even understand constantly stopping mid sentence to think whats next. On top of that youll have no idea what to do because if you have a question about works shes rude and tells you to meet office hours

Do not take this professor. She has single handedly caused me so much stress. Not only is she unclear but she won't answer any questions. You never know whats due until the day of. She gives group essays and grades them horribly no matter how well yo think you did. This class will drop your GPA.

I honestly regret taking her. She is the toughest grader and doesn't provide a clear grading rubric for the assignments. She likes to say that a 75 is a good college grade and takes major points off for the littlest mistakes. Also gives a trimester long group project that ends up being a bunch of stupid tasks. She's the worst teacher I've taken.

She is very rude towards kids oppinions, she does not allow you yo speak how you want to. She does not make it clear what is due when and hoe she wants it done. she does not give you a clear grading rubric. she will bash you when not in class and make you seem like your an idiot.

She's very awkward! Her voice is annoying & she tries to be funny. When she tries to be funny, you would just end up looking at her & think about how stupid she sounds. I would not recommend her because you would end up hating yourself when sitting in class. She also tells you that you can work on a project in class. She lies and lectures more.....

This professor is AWFUL. she never allows you to ask questions and when you do she makes you address it to the entire class. I do not recommend her. especially if you are already nervous about public speaking.

She is an interesting character to say the least. Whenever she enters the room she always complains that the furniture is in the wrong layout and how the greeks didn't sit in rows therefore neither should we. During class she carries two hats and will stand there changing hats and arguing with herself as if the two hats are different people.

This teacher is the rudest ive seen at JWU, I wish I hadnt taken her, if there is another option for you do that instead. Grading is done based on her own personal biases and rather she likes you or not. People are afraid to ask questions or talk in class because she will embarrass them and they still wont have the answer to thier question.

By far the worst professor Ive ever had. Not once have I had a professor tell me I cant stay after class and ask a question and on top of that be rude about it. For the short time I stayed in the class I think I actually lost brain cells. If you want to sit and be confused for 2 hours then shes your teacher!

She is extremely unorganized and will go out of her way not to answer your questions. she contradicts herself constantly and you will leave the class more confused than when you started. I actually fell like I haven't learned a thing.

I don't even know where to begin. This class is so dreadful. I cry before I attend the class and I die a little inside being in the class. Every time you have a question, I suggest you don't bother asking it because she won't answer it. She loves to talk on and on about NOTHING. Best word of advice? Don't bother taking her.

Let me tell you, it is only my SECOND week having this lady and I hate her with a burning passion already. Shes awful. Talks and talks about either herself or pointless things. It feels like going back to kindergarten with how she speaks to her class and makes us do weird crap like arrange furniture into a Greek amphitheater. No lie. Garbage.

I was expecting to have a tough english teacher my freshman year but I didn't think I would end up this confused. Her ulearn was difficult, she went off track often, she didn't really even cover what we were actually supposed to be doing. I was just lost and so was my group (group for our research paper)

This is the most confusing teacher Ive ever had. Her assignment guidelines are not clear, and she int straightforward about due dates and the specifics of assignments, which is frustrating as a student. Shes a terrible teacher. If you can avoid her, do it.

I have never been more confused in my life. If you ask her a question she will deliberately go out of her way to not answer you, make you look stupid, then say "it is on the syllabus" but her syllabus is so confusing it doesn't make any sense. WORST PROFESSOR. Every class is more confusing than the last, she spends the entire time talking about irrelevant things. Work with groups the whole semester but never once do work on your own because she talks so much. Ulearn is extremely confusing and she will post a million assignments and mention nothing until due and it will cost your grade.

She argues with the students when you ask a question. When you do ask a question she will not answer it, she will go all the way around and not answer your question and then will get mad once you say you do not understand. Her Ulearn is very confusing. Brings up religion and politics in class and does not care what she says.

Professor Gabiger is a horrible professor. I haven't finished her class yet for Communication Skills but I will tell you to NEVER take classes with her. She is so incredibly disorganized and is never clear on the assignments you are doing. You will NOT learn anything in her class especially anything to do with communication.

This is the worse professor I've had by far. She NEVER answers questions; instead, she tells you to ask/check with your classmates. She doesn't grade anything; she just gives a checkmark, which makes no sense in a grade-based school. She is VERY disorganized, her assignments are unclear and all over the place, and things are never easy to find.

Very passive-aggressive, never answers questions, and publicly humiliates students for asking valid questions. Extremely tough grader, and does not put up grades until the end of the semester. Rambles through every class, and has a very CONFUSING ULearn; folders all over the place, unclear due dates. Group project based, DO NOT TAKE IF POSSIBLE!!

The worst professor I have had by far. The u-learn makes no sense, she never answers questions and is so hard to get a hold of. if you have a choice, DO NOT take this class. I thought the reviews might be over-exaggerating but they really are not. Her class is the worst and if I knew it would be this bad I wouldn't have taken it.

you will run the class, do the work on ur own and the ulearn is the MOST confusing thing ever. (she doesnt organize it). she tells the students she'll answer questions then NEVER does. she gets dismissive and confrontational- and assignments barely lines up to the syllabus... if this is required... just drop out & save ur life...

So confusing and all over the place. She will go out of her way to not answer questions. Never grades anything either. How am I supposed to fix my rough draft when she comments on it after the final draft is due? I would say just make sure you turn things on time and you will probably pass but I will never take her again if I can help it.

Complete dumpster fire. Professor Gabiger is extremely sarcastic, disorganized and passive aggresive. She REFUSES to answer even the simplest of questions properly. Her Ulearn couldn't have been more difficult to navigate too. What's worse is that she grades NOTHING until the absolute very end of the semester, after the exam! What a shame.

Professor Gabiger is very disorganized in both her lecturing and her Ulearn page. She does not give clear instructions or a clear calendar that she sticks to. She also grades on how much she personally likes a student, and will mock you if she doesn't like you. Do not ask any questions in class, as she will not answer you.

If I could combine every negative review into one, I would. Absolutely terrible professor. When you, and most in the class, decide to talk to the dean of the department, you know it's bad. She has no respect for her students as people and will accuse people of plagiarism by name in class without talking to them first, while having no evidence.

If you can absolutely do not take her class. She doesn't teach, you have to learn everything yourself. she is an absolute quack and just talks about absoloutely nothing the entire lecture.

She NEVER grades stuff. Unorganized. Always late to class. I had to wait until the semester was over to see my grades from assignments due the first week. As soon as done who hates public speaking she did not make it easy. You could have not done any of the work and she wouldn't have noticed until the end of the semester.

This class is a mess. The professor is disorganized and unhelpful, with a confusing ULearn and unclear assignments. However, using resources like unstuck ai can help navigate the chaos.

I can not explain how much I hate this class, she doesn't teach anything. You are doing it entirely by yourself. On top of that, she never grades anything, so good luck on getting your grade up. Only take her class as a last resort if you need the credit.

Dear lord. This class made me turn to god for help. Laura is extremely disorganized, she had an issue with our class asking her too many clarifying questions about her "mineshaft". The "mineshaft" is way too many pages full of way too many useless links to some documents that are so old and outdated they don't help you progress in her course. :((((
