Professor Garza Is very understanding if you communicate, however, she won't take poor excuses. If you do the work and assignments this is easy. Success in this course depends solely on you. She does offer extra credit and shop hours if needed you just have to ask. I would definitely take her class again.
Laura is an inspirational, motivational, and overall intelligent professor who pushes you to achieve your very best. I knew her a year before SAC; she's only grown more as an instructor and person. Overall, one of the best theatre professors out there.
I had to go out of town for work and she made an arrangement so I could still take my fin. She's harsh, but still empathetic if you show her you're dedicated/reliable. 100% better than most directors I've had. She also brings in guest speakers to show different facets of theatre. Taking her again next semester; I feel I can learn so much more.
Overall, she is great Professor and phenomenal actor. She helps her students out and gives them the feedback that they need to improve, very straight to the point with the critique and what she wants for her assignments. Emphasizes for her students to open up and have fun, bringing them out of there comfort zone with no judgment at all.
Laura had pushed me out of my comfort zone by a lot. started this semester hating theater but I learned how to enjoy it a lot by the end. Just prepare to be pushed out of your comfort zone, but she'll be there to encourage you as long as you put in the work
I had a lot of fun and ready for Acting II!
Not a hard class. If you study the book and powerpoints that she provides the quizzes are pretty easy. There are reading question for the book, but there are unlimited chances. Overall pretty good.
Ms Garza's class was one of the best educational experiences I have had in a long time at San Antonio College. Not only did I learn a tremendous amount about theater. I also was able to get Hands-On training that is very valuable to my career path. Ms. Garza is easy to communicate with. Take this course you will not regret it.
Online 1310 Intro to Theater App during 8 week flex. Professor communicated with class whenever a change happened in the schedule and she adapted the assignments to that as well. Class had your basic chapter readings, a few discussion boards, a paper, a project, quizzes, and a final.
Professor Garza did a great job of staying in constant communication with her students, especially with it being a completely virtual/online class. She was very understanding and the course work was reasonable. I really enjoyed the class and would definitely recommend her to future students.
Considering this course was 100% online, I was still always able to get in contact with her.
Considering this is an online class, I was not able to get a hold of her whenever I needed help.
This professor was professional and organized
Took this class as a flex course. Throughout the course we had to read 10 chapters, had ch. questions for each one, 4 quizzes, 1 paper, 1 project, and the final. Honestly a fairly easy class & she is nice. We had to critique a live play, which was a great experience. I rated her a 3 because she waited to the end to grade assignments.
the class was well organized and as long as work is being done, the class is an easy grade.
Prof. Garza's expectations are high, with a slightly above average amount and depth of assignments. But she's fair with her due dates and adjusts the number of assignments as the semester progresses.
Professor Garza is really helpful when making accommodations. Understanding of circumstances.
Took this as an online flex course. Weekly chapter reading, questions, and quizzes. Two projects and one final. Due dates changed throughout the course so just pay attention. I gave a three because the course was not laid out with correct due dates from the first day of class and modules were uploaded later on Mondays.
Offered lots of resources when it came to chapter readings and assignments.
Pretty easy class as long as you pay attention to due dates.
Chapter readings, assignments, and discussion posts. Flex course. The work was easy to understand. Professor Garza provides personalized PowerPoints for the modules, along with some recorded lectures for assignments and topics.
A couple of discussion posts and projects. Many quizzes and hw assignments but as long as you read your textbook, it will be very easy. You have to watch a play and that part is so much fun.
Professor Garza's online course was very detailed and explanatory. She always responded within the set timeframe. I learned a lot from the course and did not have any difficulty with understanding the assignments. I would definitely recommend this course.
This professor offered material that made it very easy for me to learn in this class, the assignments were not hard to understand and were very accessible at home. I found her caring and flexible with her students, it really showed how understanding she was when extending the dates for assignments. I would love to take her class again.
Very poorly laid out online flex course. Weekly modules uploaded late and due dates were not corrected until two weeks before the end of the semester. Be prepared to have to pay $ to see a live theatre performance. 2 projects, a ton of reading, reading ?s, and quizzes. No final exam review. Would not recommend for online course.
This instructor provided learning materials that facilitated my comprehension in the course. The assignments were straightforward and easily manageable from home. Her compassionate and flexible approach towards students was evident, particularly in her willingness to extend assignment deadlines. I would eagerly enroll in her class again.
Amazing professor, she's very understanding and very caring.
A wonderful teacher who is passionate about what she does. If you want to get started in acting she a perfect place to start. Even if you just need the credit I'd suggest working with Laura Garza.
Gave me all resources that I needed to complete my course with her. Very easy to understand and is always here for her students when needed.
The modules and weekly assignments were straightforward and easy, although sometimes she was late to post the upcoming week's modules. The projects were creative and fun. Overall, it's what you'd expect for an online course and great if you're looking for an asynchronous and interesting class.
Understanding
Great class and professor. Homework and quizzes are straightforward and easy if you read the chapters. Either way, you can retake quizzes and homework. The 3 projects are pretty fun and not too difficult. You have to watch a live show. Definitely recommend this class. I did it as a flex course and it didn't feel rushed or stressful.
She is very easygoing and understanding when it comes to late assignments. Would definitely take another one of her classes if I needed to.
I really like her passion for theater. It is not something I have ever looked into before but after taking this class, it is a very interesting subject. The fact that she has her own theater plays is pretty cool because it makes you know for sure she knows what she is talking about.
good teacher and on top of grades.
Amazing professor, she's very understanding and very caring I would take this class again
The professor is super chill, it's an online class and everything you need is found in her modules.
My only thing i dont like about her is that she has very poor time management. She would always start class late which led to us not being able to get stuff done. I think she needs to decide whether to be a teacher or a director because it doesnt seem like she can do both.
She's a good teacher. Her time management is not the best but I feel like when she did teach I learned a lot.
She was usually late. The latest was past 45 minutes or a no show.
We pay hundreds of dollars for a class where the teacher demonstrates without due regard to tardiness and punctuality which then causes a loss of education. She would be ten minutes late to class then leave us for another thirty minutes to an hour, even during finals. Be prepared for awful time management.
This class is fun and easy if you come ready to learn
Come ready to learn and this class is fun and easy
I highly recommend taking this course with this instructor. Laura Garza class was easy, gave great feedback, graded on a great grading scale. A+++ class.
Professor Garza helped me with a lot of questions I had as a first time online student. Very easy to get in contact with for any issues and quick to respond.
Great Professor ! Loved this class!!
The teacher is clearly very adept at distance teaching, and was able to keep interactivity interesting with projects and discussion prompts.
Professor Garza's class was very organized. I took the flex option. There were about 3 quizzes and sometimes a discussion due each week. It was very easy to get a 100 score on the quizzes because it's unlimited tries. You have to see a live play and write a critique and 2 other projects that were not difficult. Overall great class and professor!
Professor Garza is a an amazing professor who has a great teaching style and is very understanding as well. Furthermore, assignments and projects are very straightforward and she gives you the all the materials and tools to succeed and gives you good a manageable amount of time to complete them in. Lastly, is very responsive and helpful.
awesome!
Course expectations were clear, and her communication was timely. I was not a fan of the course textbook. However, that is likely not a fault of the teacher. I enjoyed the mini-lectures. The only area of improvement would be for more feedback on assignments, as that would better personalize the online experience.
My professor was great! She helped us with each assignment and gave us great feedback!
Very organized and understanding. Not too much busy work.
This class was super easy as long as you keep up with the textbook readings. there is also a live play evaluation you need to do. overall the class is an easy 100.
Although the directions for the use of a system other than Canva were a little confusing, Professor Garza made sure to communicate the how-to every step of the way. Aside from the rubric measure, I would have appreciated some personal feedback to reflect upon, for written assignments pertaining to the way they were graded.
Syllabus is pretty clear. The projects are not as bad as you think it might be. She does offer extra credit but don't rely on that to heavily. I would not say the most computer savvy because I took as a flex 2 class and some of the due dates are from flex 1. She might clarify later but again if reach out to her she will clarify as well.
It is clear Professor Garza is very passionate about what she does. She has been a delightful professor, and she gives us fun projects.
super sweet and helpful and she taught a fun class! i would definitely take again especially for my flex course.
The professor was beneficial and understanding to students. Very encouraging during applications and offered lots of guidance.
Professor Garza is AMAZING, understanding, attentive, and quick with her responses and grading. You can really tell that she loves what she does and isn't just here to grade. The class was fun and easy as long as you participate and stay on track. One thing I will say is be prepared for one in person assignment. 10/10 class and professor.
She is a great teacher and you should give her class a try.
She's nice, the stage make up class is based on your own participation. guide lines clear and about your own personal growth. You wont be babied to get it done all your own accord. I loved it.
great class environment and teacher. good professor
She knows what she's talking about always and she makes time for everyone's questions, and she understands the struggle of finding your place in the acting world. She gives great feedback and a strong example of what a Theater professor should be and more.
This professor motivates me to do well in class, not just for the sake of earning a good grade but to genuinely learn the material.
The professor is very attentive with all the assignments and gives all students a couple to finish the assignments
Professor Garza is a great professor, she is very understanding and attentive. You can really tell that she loves what she teaches and understands her students. This class is very fun and easy as long as you stay on track. There is only one in person assignment to see a live play. Overall great professor and fun class!
Professor Garza loves theatre! You can tell she truly loves what she teaches. There is one assignment for a live play which was actually really cool to go watch! There is time between each assignment and you are able to work ahead.
Satisfied
First week of class, something tragic happened to me where i wasn't able to focus in school at all and I emailed professor Garza and she was very understanding and helpful and gave me an extension on the assignments i was late on. Even though i couldn't fully be focused in this online class, I thought what she taught was very interesting and easy.
mrs . garza is a great professor you just need to make sure you do all your homework Inhad flax classes and make sure you go to the theatrical performance
great professor make sure you do your quizzes and homeworks
I definitely came into this class after a couple of years without attending college, not knowing what to expect from a completely remote class, but I actually ended up surprising myself. Professor Garza shared all the instructions needed from the beginning, with a video and very detailed written instructions on each assignment and project.
I love taking this class! Great professor !
I really enjoyed my time in this class. There is definitely a bit of reading, but if you do it it's an easy A. The projects don't really even feel like projects because their fun and engaging. I would definitely take another class with Laura again.
very very amazing online class!!!!!
Professor Garza really knows how to prioritize the work presented in this class by also spacing out the work given in each module perfectly. I also love how Professor Garza gave us a lot of material to work with each module like multiple videos, slide presentations from the textbook, and even her own version of slides.
Professor Laura Garza is very understandable and caring. Also I have notice that professor Laura keeps up with her emails and answers as soon as possible, which is great.
This class was really great def would take again
She's a great teacher who puts time and effort into making sure you know exactly what you want from her can't complain one bit about my experience as her student.
It is nice and understanding, work is easy and has everything that you need for the class would take again.
Lots of very simple bookwork that shouldn't take much time at all to complete, interesting projects, and responsive to questions. All around great professor!
Laura Garza is one of the best directors and mentors I've had the privilege of working with. Her feedback is understandable and she always makes sure you get it right before anything else happens. Truly an inspiration
Professor Garza's knowledge shines through in the online course, making topics easy to understand and sparking interesting discussions. They're always there to help with assignments, providing helpful information and breaking everything down into manageable bits. Overall, Professor Garza creates a really positive and engaging learning environment!
Do the work and have open communication and it will go along way. Super understanding professor.
Professor Laura T. Garza made my online theatre class a great learning experience. She effectively adapted the course to the online format, providing clear instructions and engaging content that kept the class interactive. Her lectures were well-organized, and she used a variety of resources, such as videos and discussions, to keep us involved.
Awesome teacher and course! Just do your work she is supper sweet and a fair grader! Would definetly take another one of her classes!
Great class and teacher! Do the work and you should be good, she doesn't want you to fail.
Laura was a very fair grader in this course and she made the course very fun and interactive even though it was an online course.
Good for online
I took an 8 week online course. The syllabus, class expectations and assignment instructions were clear and concise. I would recommend this professor.
Mrs Garza is a nice person and she will help her students for a while and wants you to do it on our own
She is a professor who cares and truly wants everyone to succeed. She is also flexible as long as you communicate. 100% I would take her again.
Just take her; she is so good, and I enjoy her class.
Just take her I think she is the best in her field. I enjoyed her class
The professor was able to clearly convey all of the information needed to succeed in this course via a text book and theatre related projects to help a student have a clear understanding of theatre.
this professors was really good , I enjoyed her class.
You can tell she loves Theatre. Be prepared to see a production in person.
The class was simple, read the book and answer the questions. There was only a couple of major projects/papers in this course, so that was cool.
fast easy assignments.
Make sure that you signed up the right way before the access closes, because there is many assignments that you can only do if you are able to enter McGraw-Hill which is where the book and the tests are.if you do not sign up right on time, it is very hard to catch back up in the future. Making it very easy to fall behind and very hard to keep up.
This was an interesting class. Mrs. Garza does care about the studies of theater and participation does matter. You must read. If you read and do tests you should be ok. A live show is required so do it sooner then later to try and get a free live show. If not in can get pricey.
She deepened my love for theatre, and her live shows were amazing. The assignment rubrics were clear and the tasks were manageable. She has a few discussion posts about the chapters, chapter assignments, and quizzes which were not difficult when reading the textbook and using the PowerPoint. A live theatre show is required but it is super fun!
I took an online class and of course it will be a lot of reading but there are a lot of videos she uploads for additional understanding. Professor Garza explains everything thoroughly and you will enjoy this class and the assignments. There is a couple of projects assigned but I found them to be very fun and not too overwhelming.
Clear cut assignments, do what is required and you're good.
Professor Garza's class was so interesting and fun to take. I took her online theatre class and of course it's a lot of reading but she also uploads videos for additional understanding. Her class is engaging, thanks to the creative and fun projects she assigns, which is just a couple, nothing too overwhelming.
The course structure is well-organized making it an excellent option for anyone looking for a class that is both informative and manageable. Laura is incredibly supportive, and always available to provide guidance and answer questions. I found the assignments to be interesting, yet not overly demanding, allowing me to maintain a healthy balance.
A highlight was seeing a live play, which enriched my appreciation for performance art. The course is well-structured making it ideal for anyone seeking an informative manageable class. Laura is supportive and always available for guidance. The assignments are engaging and thought-provoking, allowing me to balance this course with my other studies.
theatre online class is good, love the discussion's we have. and the projects we do, had a little trouble navigating through the websites but I got it down. and easy assignments, not to hard, but not to simple ether. I really enjoyed this class its fun.
Great class expectations were easy and clear.
Great teacher. Work wasn't hard.
Good professor. Easy but tedious homework and quizzes.
This class was very easy, I would gladly take this class again. I was a theatre kid in high school, so a lot of the material I already knew, but I learned a lot in this class. She grades very fairly and is very understanding.
This class is manageable as long as you take the time to do your work. We had to attend a play which was really cool, and we do have a final exam at the end of the course.
Overall, they're a very patient and straightforward professor. Directions for assignments are clear, workflow is more than manageable, and deadlines are very reasonable.
They're very straightforward and reasonable. The assignments aren't too difficult, and the deadlines are very fair. Overall I have no real complaints.
This was my first online class, which was probably my biggest problem, but the professor was great. She gave me enough time to complete the assignments and answered my emails as soon as possible.
Class was easy. Just don't forget to log in when you first start.
Fun class overall. I got to see a play that wouldn't have seen if I had never taken the class.
I had a blast taking Professor Garza's class this semester. The material is super interesting! Professor Garza is always there to answer questions and gives great feedback on assignments, which is super helpful. You can tell they really care about teaching and want their students to succeed. I'd definitely recommend taking any class they teach!
I really enjoyed Professor Garza's class this semester. She makes the material interesting and easy to understand. Always available for questions and give great feedback. You can tell she cares about her student's success. Highly recommend their classes!
Fall class stage make-up fall of 2024 Great course .Yes I will take be taking another course for spring of 2025 I recommend any one that interested you will be amazed. San Antonio College . Thank You!
Canvas layout was chaotic, and hard to navigate/ tell when and what assignments were due, but overall a good class.
Laura Garza is a Great Professor learn so many great idea in stage-makeup
Great fall course stage make-up 2024 yes I will be taking second course spring 2025 Thank you .
Overall this class was super fun! I really enjoyed doing the applications, they allowed me to be creative and helped expand my makeup knowledge.
I have learned a lot in this class. I have picked up new skills that I can use moving forward. This class can be hard to catch up on if you miss an application but it's not impossible.
She is incredibly helpful in guiding others through difficult tasks, always taking the time to offer support and assistance whenever it is needed.
she is extremely understanding. she makes we talk on zoom to better understand the assignment. she also goes through step-by-step how the process works.
She is an amazing professor.
This is my second class with Laura. I have now taken both online and in person and I can say I recommend taking her in person class if you have a busier schedule. The online courses are manageable, but can become confusing if you're not checking in often. beware of grading, late work is accepted but there is usually a large deduction.
This is my second class with Mrs. Garza and I would take it again. Everything was clearly laid out for you and written out on what she wanted for assignments and it was pretty concise. Also I have gained knowledge in an area in which I thought I had a lot of knowledge already but it just proved we can always learn more!
I've known Mrs. Garza 4 semesters now and ever since I met her, she's always been very helpful and has always been so supportive and COMMUNICATIVE and I feel that's helped me so much for her courses and other courses as well. She's very supportive!
Truly, she was a good teacher, but I just failed due to how busy I was and wasn't able to get certain assignments done. She does take late work, but you won't be able to receive a 100 I say take her in person if your schedule is busy.
Good class and a lot of reading but very informative for sure.
Professor is very caring and nice but the class itself seemed very unprepared and unorganized. While the work was not hard it was frustrating that the work was typically published the day it was due rather than giving at least a day to prep prior to the due date. Regardless would take again because the professor is very understanding and sweet.
Mrs. Garza is a good professor and she is nice too
Simply wants improvement from the students. Very understanding, and the feedback given was genuinely helpful.
Professor cancels class very often and is 5-10 minutes late to class consistently, grading of assignments is very inconsistent but otherwise, she's very nice. Class is fun.
Overall Laura was a good professor. I took her flex course and even though the work is doubled she made it easy to understand the lectures and quizzes!
I took Laura's Diction class and had a blast. She's fuuny and keeps the class engaged. I can tell that she was knowlegable in the subject she was teaching. Learning IPA was a little challeneging but she made worksheets to help us better understand the work load and let us play some games for a fun way of retaining the information. 10/10
Great voice class with giving great feedback and fun projects with ample time learn. Assignments are mostly submitted through online recordings which can be done at school or home.
Gave good information
Good Teacher
CHECK CANVAS. Laura does not always communicate the on-paper assignments, and it's the responsibility of students to check dates and complete various submissions on time. This is where I lacked. Although Laura fails to communicate often, everything is at the disposal of the students in Canvas if you just take it upon yourself to stay up to date.
This is Laura's easiest class. She teaches out of the textbook, but the class is hands-on and allows for personal artistic expression. Attendance is a crucial thing, because all major assignments are completed in class. However, I breezed through this course and most others will, because the grade is determined purely by progress, not perfection.
If you are looking to improve you may be put out of your comfort zone vocally and not understand why but trust the process.
Overall, Professor Laura was great! I took her flex course, and even though the workload was heavier, she explained everything clearly. Her lectures and quizzes were easy to follow, which really helped me stay on track.
Great professor, I would take her class again!
An inspiring and passionate professor who brings out the best in every student—truly a joy to learn from!”
The teacher was very clear on what was due at the end of the week and what she expected from each assignment. The course was fully online, and the presentations were very helpful and taught me clearly.
Responsive and direct about the outline of the class. A lot of homework
Overall, she was a good teacher, but she was late to class frequently and canceled a lot, which was annoying.
I did enjoy her class, although she was late quite a bit and called out of class a few times which was kind of frustrating at times.
Very useful presentations and an easy to follow course.
Laura is very professional and direct, but she is also very friendly and easy to talk to. She encourages everyone to be 100% honest while maintaining a respectful environment for everyone. She's a great professor, I would highly recommend taking her classes!
She is though at times but you can tell it's because she wants you to do better, gives good critique after performances. I felt a difference in my performance at the end of the course, but did cancel class a few times which was a little difficult.
I found Professor Garza to be inspiring and genuinely caring about her student's success. She made every effort to remove each obstacle from my educational journey and unlock superior critical thinking. I am grateful to her taking the time to enrich my life.
I found Professor Garza to be inspiring and genuinely caring about her students' success. She made every effort to remove each obstacle from my educational journey and unlock superior critical thinking. I am grateful to her for taking the time to enrich my life.
Since this course is online, I didn't get to experience her teaching firsthand, but I appreciate how the course was organized and presented for students. In my opinion, the material was clearly explained, and whenever I had any confusion, it was quickly resolved with just an email.
I took professor Garza as an online summer course and she was amazing! All the assignments are fairly easy as long as you read through the online textbook, but the reading is definitely doable. There is a theater critique where you must go to an in-person performance, so if you like theater and are willing to do that, this is the class for you!
Easy class for online, only thing is you have to see a play in person. She is understanding, would take again.
The class is not hard it's just time consuming and goes by super fast.
Professor Garza is fantastic. She clearly explained all assignments, and everything expected in the course.
I honestly took this class because it helped me knock out one of my elective courses for my school and I enjoy Visual arts in general so this class sounded fun. This class was fairly simple, all you have to do is follow the syllabus and GET YOUR WORK DONE ON TIME so you'll be able to ace this class. I would highly recommend this class for anyone :)
She is great and very responsive only thing is you have to watch a play in person so be ready for that.
Very well put together class. Lots of reading as it was a 5 week course but very manageable.
She was great. I would definitely take this course again.
was able to extend a deadline for me when i was having trouble, which i really appreciated.
Honestly very solid and doable course
Online:We only had 1-3 assignments each week Lots of presentations&videos to watch, took no time. Worst thing, we HAD to watch a live theatre performance, but had to pay for my own tickets so I spent $45 a ticket. She said she'd said emails about free first come first serve tickets but never got any emails from her so I had to pay out of pocket.
I had an issue in this class where I was unable to complete a major assignment on time, and Prof. Garza worked with me to get an alternate assignment so I would still get a good grade. Def recommend.
Be prepared for lots of reading. As long as you read the book and take good notes, you'll be set! Super fun projects and assignments though!
Very well written courses. Easy to understand.
She was a great professor! I took her 8-week online course; there were at least 2-3 assignments per week. As long as you read through the modules and the textbook, theres no way you're not getting an A.
Professor Garza gave clear instructions and assignments. There is lots of reading, but there are also many study guides. The quizzes followed the text. She offered help as needed.
she was super helpful and communicates well!
This professors lessons are well-paced and clearly structured.
Overall Laura Garza was able to help me during a pretty difficult time within my family, and was very caring & accommodating!
The professor demonstrates strong teaching skills through clear explanations and organized lessons. They make complex topics easy to understand and connect ideas to real-life examples. By encouraging questions and participation, the professor keeps students engaged and supports effective learning.
Be ready to attend an in-person play. I'm actually really glad I did. The experience was very enjoyable and helped me understand theatre in a whole new way. There is a lot of reading, and it moves fast — about two chapters a week, so make sure to stay on top of it. Overall, it's a great class if you keep up with the schedule and stay engaged.
Willing to accept late work and open to communications about how to do better in her class
I had a lot of fun in this class. She has a great sense of humor and it helps when your getting out of your comfort zone. She does make you challenge yourself.
The Professor is good, especially if you like drama. I had a difficult time because this class was mandatory for me and I'm not the most outgoing person.
Has a lot of really useful advice when it comes to acting and helps you out of your comfort zone. Late for majority of classes and frequently cancels last-minute. You are required to watch a live play, completely unwilling to accept using a video if that is not viable. You will perform in front of others a LOT.
She makes us feel included and we are in a safe atmosphere.
Professor Garza taught us the principles of acting and cares for her students, one of my few classes where I know all my peers. However, her attention is very divided among her other responsibilities as theater director, so classes were canceled or delayed frequently which may affect learning.
She was genuinely frustrating to work with. She is very hard to reach, and of she does reach you it is after the work is due. I struggled in her class due to the active way she over shares family matters. I did not like how if you are falling behind she says she "gave us enough time", when we barely get things to learn. None of my stuff is graded.
She said that the Band App was not required. It is. That is her main way of communicating. It also looks incredibly suspicious, but it's the correct app. Don't click any of the ads. Otherwise? It was fine
she was very direct of what she wanted out of students! this course was interesting!
Professor Garza did a good job teaching us the basics of acting and she encouraged everyone in class to get to know one another. However, she is also the theater director and her attention is pulled in many directions, with 1351 being her lowest priority. Because of this, classes were often cancelled or delayed which could be annoying at times.
Professor Garza has an excellent teaching style, and knows how to work with various challenges in students. Although she's often late, she shows clear dedication to making sure her students are ready for any performance.
It was a great and fun class for me to receive my needed credit.
Our professor was a very lovely teacher. She really knows how to engage with students and is passionate about her work in class. I'm taking Acting 1 right now and I've had a really good experience. She's very respectful and participation matters just do the work and get your grade. I recommend for y'all take her as a teacher 10/10.
She was good I took the online flex course pretty easy.
This professor clearly communicates her expectations and provides thoughtful feedback on how you can improve and apply yourself more effectively. She also creates a supportive environment that allows you not only to strengthen your existing skills but to explore and develop new ones.
Amazing teacher
She was very pleasant and would recommend her to anyone learning Theatre. Provide constructive feedback which I found beneficial
Laura was so nice and helpful! I took this class just for fun and I had a great time!
Awful professor unfortunately some of us have jobs and cannot go see and pay for a live performance critique. I take this class for a creative arts credit and she's an awful prof. Inconsiderate of time and peoples lives outside of campus. Not a theatre major I am a biology major. She made me hate this course, myself, and theatre entirely.
This professor clearly communicates her expectations and provides thoughtful feedback on how you can improve and apply yourself more effectively. She's so easy to get along with and the air is just complete green flags. As long as you stay on track and get work done, there's no way to fail this class.
Was really understanding and cooperative when life throws random obstacles.
I really enjoyed this course and it was challenging. It made me find my love for theatre again.
Professor Garza explains the material clearly and keeps the class very organized. Her instructions for assignments are easy to understand, and she helps students learn the topics step by step. Overall, her teaching style is clear, steady, and helpful.
Nice class and very nice professor, not difficult
