Took a chance on a new Professor and I'm very glad I did. Dr. Gionet is extremely helpful and willing to work with her students until they understand a concept. She's a stickler for time and runs a tight ship, but I would most definitely take her again!
Love her! Dr. G. really puts it together for you. The best way to understand lecture is to take Dr. G. for lab.
Not a good professor, had such a hard time in her class! If i didn't have brightman for lecture to explain what she meant then I would have done very poorly. DONT TAKE HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't believe people think that she's a hard professor. Dr. Laura is very clear about what will be on quizzes and practicals. She doesn't waste time on the useless/boring stuff (I've heard that a lot of the AP Lab teachers are a snooze.) I'm taking her now for AP1 and hopefully will take her for AP2. No problem getting good scores in her class.
Dr. Laura is a great teacher. Her quizes were only challaging if you did not study, as with any class! She made it very clear what was going to be on the quizes, and the practicals were reasonable. She would allow extra study time after class, and was very easy to work with! I wish she was teaching A&P 2 lab :(
Dr. Gionet is a sweetheart! Very fast paced class, but she covers everything thoroughly. Short lectures and lots of time hands on. No surprises on the practicals. If you pay attention it is all stuff you've seen before. She has very little patience with lazy students and she rewards those who are earnest learners with her undivided attention.
BSC 2085L - Dr. Laura is a very good teacher. I found the lab class to be interesting and challenging. Answers questions and is eager for students to succeed.
Excellent Teacher. Pay attention, study, and ask plenty of questions.I flunked 4 quizzes before i started asking questions. Dr.Laura encouraged me to not drop. She helped me and others with questions after class daily. I ended up with a B+.Quizzes were tough, but practicals were easy. Just study hard and utilize her knowledge.Class wasn't hard atall
Dr.laura is a great teacher shes nice and straight forward with her quizzes and practicles. she is willing to help anybody especially after class she does pass the pointer and that really helps out alot.
She is a WONDERFUL teacher! Will go out of her way to help you out any way possible. Make sure to stay after class for pass the pointer! Everything she asks will be on the quiz. But you DO have to study, it's not an easy A!
I think Dr. Laura is an amazing teacher! I took her for Anatomy 1 lab and wished i could of taken her for anatomy 2 but she was booked. She is so helpful with everything and always updates you on your grades so you can make sure your doing good. She makes anatomy easier to learn and if you study you will do great. TAKE HER CLASS!!! SHE IS AWESOME!!
Great! Dr. Laura is wonderful for lab. Take her!
She is not a bad instructor. Although she is a natzi when it comes to timing the quizzes. On her quizzes she gives you like a minute to answer the question and you have to move on even if you're still thinking. But she does interact with the class and interested in your understanding of the subject. I would recommend her.
Great Prof! I wish she'd lecture a little more in class, but that's just me. She goes over everything she'll test on(test every class, 10 ?s). If you need more time on the test, say so (unless it's a mini prac, she'll give more time). Stay for the whole class and she'll do whatever she can to help you. leave early and she won't be so keen to help.
very helpful & knows her stuff. Must stay entire class to get all info. tells what she wants ya to know on tests. Must study but I got an A. Def. recommend her.
Dr. G is great, goes over the lab packet after you try to fill in the blanks. Stay after class (or for the whole class) and she will give you sample test questions. Plenty of chances to pull an A, with a quiz every class it makes you study, quizes are timed but either you know it or you don't. Def. take her I'm taking her again for AP2 Lab. :)
I stay after every class and still did not do well on exam and practicle. I read my book and participate in class but not for sure what will be on test, tried to study notes but she words the test very tricky. Be careful with her!!!
Love Dr. Laura! She really cares about her students! She is hard, but you will learn!! I highly recommend taking her!
Has the potential to be an excellent educator. If you are among the chosen students in the class that are liked, then she is very helpful. If you aren't, then she is extremely unprofessional. I raised my hand to ask a question and was yelled at for the question. Another time she announced my poor grade in front of the entire class.
Dr G is completely unprofessonial. Chooses her favorites in class as if she's an adolescent and tries to embarrass/announce students who may be struggling. Very unwilling to answer ?'s that I've had in both lecture & lab. In addition she treats you like you're an idiot if you ask ?'s. I'm a straight A student but she treats me like i'm an idiot.
She was the worst teacher who I ever had. She doesn't teach nothing; you have to teach yourself. Be careful, if you try to ask her questions, she might give you the worst attitude which sometimes make you cry.She is very unprofessonal and moody, one day she is so nice and next she is so mean. Her test and grading is easy, but I don't recomend her.
I guess I was one of the "chosen ones" I thought she was fine! She can be moody, but is very supportive, and helpful. She just hates it if you don't study, apply yourself, interrupt her or don't read before class. Lab is harder than lecture anyway. Dr G. was very fair in grading, giving us "bones" and bonuses throughout testing. I loved her!
Dr. G is awesome!! If you attend her class and then study you will have no problem. She knows the subject inside and out. There is no reason to not do well in her class. I definetely recommend her!!!
She is very an organized teacher. She posts all in Angel which is school website, so if you study those and notebook, you can get an A. I took AP1 and AP2, and I got both A. Thanks.
She is SO mean. God forbid you have a question, she will roll her eyes and give you the biggest attitude! she gives everything pet names and makes it so hard to understand. DO NOT take her, especially if you have lecture after lab.
She is a good teacher. She tells you exactly what to study, but it is extremely difficult unless you spend 4-6 hours between each class studying. She gives you the material you just have to learn it. It's not the teacher that's hard it's the class.
Helps you but just enough so that you have to teach some of it to yourself, which is good for the anatomy lab classes in which i am rating her for. Use her for your lab instructor.
This is a college class, so OBVIOUSLY you need to study. Dr. Laura is clear and concise, she gives you all the test questions through the powerpoint notes. Tests are not hard, you just need to study and apply yourself. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. I would take her again.
Dr. Gionet is a great teacher, she tells you exactly what you need to know, it's up to you to learn the material.
On-line Class-Dr. G gives u notes, so no need to buy the book for lab & lecture! Everything u need 2 no is in notes. several attempts on quizzes & prelabs. Practicals & Finals come from quiz ?'s. Study what she gives & u'll have no problems passing. no wkly postings, no group work. highly recommended!
Dr. Gionet was confusing, judgemental, and difficult to approach. When I had a question about the material, she openly embarrassed me in front of the entire class. I do not recommend this instructor.
Fantastic Professor. Had her for lab. Willing to answer or help if you don't understand. I would highly recommend for A&P.
I took the lab class online and it was one of the easiest online courses I have ever taken. She uses the study guide images in the quizzes (that you have multiple attempts to take) so as long as you have your notes handy, there's no reason not to get at least a B in this class. She is also amazing at responding to emails! One of the best at SPC!
I liked her. This is a class where you have to devote time to do well. The material is given to you. It's up to you to do it well. Summer is a brisk pace. Don't take it then unless you have a good memory & are willing to work hard. She partners well w/ Dr. Brightman.
TOOK ONLINE. Dr. Gionet is an AWESOME prof! Quick to respond to emails, very clear instruction, clear powerpoints; use these as a guide when reading the chapter, this is what will be covered on test. Hard class, but she makes it ez 2 learn, and she truly wants to help you. Definitely recommend her for A&P 1 and LAB 1 as well.
TOOK ONLINE. Highly recommend Dr. Gionet for A&P Lab as well as lecture. Quick emails, very clear and helpful. She provides LAB images to study so no need to buy extra book, just lecture text is all u need. Do keep in mind A&P requires more study time, so take it alone or with a class that will be easy for you. Lab was easier than lecture for me.
Took her for AP 1 and 2 lab. If you leave lab early and try to study a few days before the practical, you will struggle. Put in the work and you will get an A.
I took Dr Gionet online for A&P1 Lab. She provided PP's with notes as well as images for each lab. There is no doubt that this class requires a great deal of study time but Dr Gionet provides all the materials needed to allow you to be successful. Do what she says and put the time in and you will earn an A.
extremely hard class.
Awesome teacher. She really tries to make you learn. She does talk fast, but it is because she wants you to have time to walk around the class and look at everything and not just sit in your seat. She does have a broad area of studying, but its everything in the lab book that is on the practical. Great with Dr Brightman.
she is very good and easy.... i will take her in A&P2.
Great Class Instruction... but you are in college to learn and you must learn the information on your own since lab class is only held once a week.
If you like having good grades, don't take this class. I studied for about 4 hours a day and this class was still hard. 10 quizzes, 3 test. The final exam is your 3rd test and its over everything. It was the hardest thing I've ever taken before in my life! deff do not recommend if your looking to get into a health program.
Anatomy is very time consuming, no matter who your professor is. Prof Gionet is very fair and helpful, I would recommend her. Study her notes, and make sure to get over all quizzes to practice for final. You will spend a lot of time studying and you will get A in her lecture and lab class. I did.
Dr. Gionet is very clear about what she wants her students to know. She doesn't like nonsense and expects her students to actually earn their grade. Her practicals are not hard, she tells you exactly what will be on it. I would definitely take her again.
Dr. G is fantastic. She is very clear about the material and genuinely wants her students to succeed. I had her for lab and am taking her again for 2086L. I would recommend her to anyone looking to go into nursing. She takes a clinical approach to the material which helps in the long run.
Dr. Gionet is very clear about what she wants you to know.Fast email responses. Study the notes she provides...everything you need to know is there! Study previous quizzes to prepare for exams as a lot of the questions are similar if not the same.
EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dr. G. tells you exactly what you need to know for all quizzeslectures (or makes it obvious in her PP presentations with boldcolored text for important concepts). The model database is free game, even if not included in PP lectures. Dr. G. is helpful and straight to the point, really. I would definitely take her again. Easy A.
Quizes come from the lectures. Pretty clear on what you need to learn weekly. 3 test total. Last test is proctored. If you study you will be fine. BUT YOU NEED TO STUDY!
Very difficult, but fair. Tests are fill in the blank & very specific so you HAVE to study, but you learn a lot more w this method & she gives extremely helpful study guides and resources . Quizzes each week, multiple choice but not easy. Tough material but clear on what she wants and not bad if you do the work. I will take her again for A&P 2.
Dr. G is an amazing instructor. I took her for 2085L and I'm taking her for 2086L. I learned a lot. The videos are extremely helpful and if you have any questions or concerns, Dr. G promptly responds to emails. 2 of the 4 unit test are proctored, but if you dedicated the right amount of time to study for this course, you'll do fine.
I had her for both A&P 1 and 2. She is great and I think prepares you very well. Her tests are critical thinking style which I think will be a big help later on, especially if you're headed into nursing. If you follow all her lab directions and use all the resources you will do great. She really does give you everything you need.
If you're pre-nursing and you're looking for a hardcore professor that'll teach you something you'll actually use in the field of nursing, look no further. If you're looking for the easiest professor to get an A in A&P Lab from, keep looking. She's strict, grumpy, and serious. There's a quiz every time you come to class. No midertm or final.
Dr. G is excellent & her passion is displayed in her style of teaching. With regard to online learning for her course; STAY on target with her syllabus & don't slack. If you get behind, you'll fail. Read to understand the material as the unit tests are FILL IN the blanks & by all means view videos. If you need help, she replies quick to emails.
Ms. Gionet is a different kind of Professor. She does give you all the info necessary to pass but it isn't that easy. Do not ask questions because she does not respond very nicely. She picks on people and is very rude. As far as the content goes the class is a "gimme". But the learning environment is very hostile and made me not want to show up.
Really great teacher I took her for both A&P 1 and 2 labs. She offers tutoring and extra credit for going to tutoring. She is more than willing to help you with any questions you have. I would take her again in a heartbeat.
One of the best teachers i have had so far. Her lectures are long but very descriptive so pay attention. Also STUDY THE POWERPOINTS! EVERYTHING you need for tests is in there along with the class book she will provide for you. Quizzes given every day before class, 10 fill in the blanks, 3 tests- 50 questions fill in the blank (no midterm or final).
I was initially afraid to take her but SO HAPPY I did! Her lectures are thorough and she is incredibly knowledgable. If you plan on going into healthcare she is a must take! She takes extra care to be sure that you understand and gives you extra help in subjects that apply to your major so you have a head start in your program. Tough but WORTH IT!
Shes a very knowledgable teacher especially in nursing. Take her if youre going into nursing. She's super strict & doesnt accept any excuses so STUDY HARD & go to her if you need extra help. Shes one of the toughest A & P teachers. If you do good on all her tests then you will pass her final because they are old questions from the pervious tests.
She is a very good professor but her tests are actually very hard. She tries to be tricky. I didn't like that she read off the power points in class it made it very difficult to pay attention. But she did give a lot of extra credit. The extra credit really saved my grade.
Quizzes are weekly, and there are 3 practicals. Practicals are pretty tricky but if you study hard you'll get an A.
If you want to learn, take Dr. G. She's a tough professor but she's really fair. Study for the quizzes and you'll do fine on her practicals. Don't skip class or BE LATE or else you'll miss out on the quiz. Definitely have to study but it is doable to get an A in her class. I would take her again if I could. Study the slides and you're golden!
Doesn't help you learn. Rarely does lectures, gives out hand outs for students to fill out. Wastes the majority of class time then crams in the last minutes. You have to self teach and she isn't very kind to answering questions. Has horrible hand writing and won't fix it when students ask she'll tell you get the notes on your own if you cant read
If you are looking to pass A&P, good luck! This is the WORST professor I have ever had. Half of her students have dropped. She doesn't give any sort of structured outlines for exams, just about 500 power point slides. She takes off for miss spelled words ( were not in English class ) and crams multiple complex lessons into one. BEWARE!! WARNED!!
Worst professor ever. Takes off for minor spelling errors. Talks too fast. Tries to cover an insane amount of material all at once. Offers zero extra credit for lab besides on the quizzes which amounts to nothing. Not compassionate.
Dr G is a very good professor, very passionate about her job. She'll challenge you but she's fair, and if you put the work in you'll get an A. I just took her class this summer and my got an easy A. All her exams are pretty straight forward and based off her power point notes, so study those and you should be ok.
This class is tough!! But, Dr Gionet does a great job at helping you learn the info ESPECIALLY if youre going into nursing. 3 IN CLASS EXAMS are all from the info on her powerpoint. She doesnt add anything weird. She gives a ton of extra credit and bonus questions on tests, exams ect. even the final exam we had cake bonus questions which helped.
Dr. G is good professor but hard. Don't expect to pass this class if you do not put forth the time and effort. She is pretty fair about extra credit especially if she knows you are trying. She has 3 exams in lecture and 3 exams in lab. Everything comes straight from power points and her final is a mixture of previous test questions.
I actually loved her class even though she's a tough grader. She just does it to make sure you understand and retain the information. Make sure you dedicate your time to study because this class is definitely not a walk in the park.
Reading some of these reviews before taking Dr. G's class, I was nervous. But she really is a great professor. If you want to do the bare minimum and get an A, don't take her. If you want to be prepared for the nursing program, DO take her! Her lectures are engaging, and funny! If you put in some effort, you can get an A no problem. Learned a lot!
Lecture with her is awful. She speaks extremely fast - very hard to keep up and take notes. Can be very rude in response to students asking questions. She was so discouraging I eventually stopped going to her classes. I might as well have taken the course online.
Great professor, always available if you have questions. She's very knowledgeable; I really learned a lot from this course.
Very easy class if you put the work in. She gives you all the information you need to pass the exams. All you have to do is read the stuff, learn it. This should not be an easy A class, chances are you'll be going into a possession where peoples lives are at stake. Do the work, read as much as you can and study the power points from lecture.
She is a very good professor, I strongly recommend her for anyone who is going to take A & P I. She is always there to help you if you need anything. I will definitely be taking her for A & P II !!
Fair teacher, isn't easy you need to put the work in she is not a Mr Brightman who is warm and cuddly she is direct and to the point but really cares about her students and wants them to succeed. Go to class pay attention use the study lab that is available and you will do fine!
I was nervous taking A&P 1 during summer since it's an accelerated class, but she is a great teacher. She is passionate about this subject and wants you to succeed. She makes power points for all her lectures and she goes through them all pretty quickly in class. Read the chapter and print out the lectures before class and use the study room!
Dr. Gionet is a really great instructor, but tough. She is very thorough and really wants her students to grasp the information and there is A LOT of information. She is very organized and provides you with all the lecture notes to study from. You do not really need the book, unless it is for reference. Just make sure to be very detail oriented.
I am taking her summer A&P 1 lecture class and it is a lot of information, but she gives you the information and tools you need. She is very helpful outside of class as well. I was going to take Brightman for A&P 2, but I decided to switch to Gionet because I love her class so much. I recommend her if you are going into nursing.
Took both A&P II lab and lecture with Dr. Gionet. She's a great teacher. Answers all of your questions, and she even offers extra credit. Study the powerpoints, and all the pictures uploaded in MyCourses (for lab) and you'll pass.
Dr. G cares, she can be flexible, she makes herself accessible, and she knows her material; however, I wouldn't call "teaching" her strong suit. She expects you to know a lot. We would benefit from her taking a moment to recap things she's had years to understand and digest. Things we JUST crammed in A&P 1, or earlier in the same semester, even.
Dr. G was great! She laid everything out at the beginning of the semester and stuck to it. There was a quiz on every chapter (online), 3 tests (in class), 1 final (online), 1 group project, and easy extra credit. There was a lot of information to remember but all the answers were provided in the notes she posted. I would definitely take her again!
I wish Dr. G taught every course because I completely respect her passion and dedication to teaching. She absolutely knows her material and emphasises the information that will be on exams. The course is a LOT of work, but there are multiple weekly study sessions and plenty of opportunities to review important materials. Highly recommended!
Dr. G is a great instructor! I took her for both A&P I and II. There is a lot of information, so print out the powerpoint slides, makes notes and study! I love lab as well because it reinforces the information from the lecture. Use the study room made specifically for A&P students! Crash course anatomy and physiology on youtube was very helpful!
Be prepared for class. Books aren't required for the class but printing lab sheets and the notes are very helpful in being successful in the classroom. During lecture it does actually help when you print out the notes and bring it to the lecture class to write down any info that the prof. says that isn't in the PowerPoint.
Once you learn her style after the first exam, you'll know how to succeed with the rest of the semester. Go off of her lectures, not book or online material. She wants you to pass & regularly is available on Sat. for study lab. Really provides you with all the support you need to pass. Looking forward to having her for AP2
Knowledgeable; funny. Lectures r power points, but reg attend is expected. Spend lots of time rvwing notes. 8 quizzes online w/2 tries each; lowest dropped. 3 exams in class; lowest dropped. Final exam online; 1 try only. 1 group project-put in effort & it's an A. BOOK NOT REQUIRED. Any AP book works to use as a ref. Use Study Lab & take her lab.
Great prof. Take her for lecture & lab studying does double duty. Study Lab is awesome. Spend time there EVERY week. 9 in class quizzes; lowest dropped. 3 practicals. No book needed, but u do need to bring ur own printed copy of lab exercise. This prof is always ready to help & is quick to post grades. If you put in the time, you will succeed.
Definitely love Dr. G! She is a great, caring professor. Put your time in viewing the material and you can get an easy A. Make sure to take her for lab and lecture.
If you study only lab that should help you with to pass her lecture. You will have quizzes every week and that helps when it comes to take the practical exam. Make sure to take her for lab & lecture.
Amazing instructor, she knows her stuff, she's very fair, makes learning fun
I took for A&P I, and II.. She really wants students to succeed but you have to study. I find her to be very fair in her grading, and she's always giving bonus questions. She loves animals and likes to joke, but can sometimes be moody. Show up on time, don't use your cell phones during class, don't bring food or drink into lab, no sandals in lab.
Dr. Gionet is the best professor I have ever had at SPC. Her class is tough, but most of her students are going into the medical field so she really makes sure you're prepared. She is very personable and she really wants her students to succeed. She opens the study room every other Saturday for any students who need the extra help.
I take her for both lecture / lab, she is by far the worst lecture teacher I have ever had. Weekly quizzes, which by the way she doesn't even write she has past students write. Half the info isn't accessible or on her power points. She goes way to deep in all subjects for no reason. Fill in the blank for exams. RUN!
DR. G OMG!! If your not good at studying or if your life can be complicated PLEASE don't take her. She talks very fast and expects u to remember things from A&P1. Test are completely off lab slides but she gives you a 1 day heads up on whats going to be on it ( L.O.L) FYI (asks crazy questions off of it). Her wording on test can be very confusing.
Took for lab & lecture. Lecture was awful(don't recommend) but lab was super easy. Must show up for weekly quizzes b/c as soon as class starts, she will start w/you u & won't go back. Go to study group, it helps greatly. Take pictures of everything & make sure to bring printed lab guides in course page.
Although A&P is a tough class she makes it even worse. I took her for lecture and lab, worse mistake ever.
Professor Laura Gionet is very sweet and compassionate professor. She will help in anyway that she can as long as she sees a effort on your part. I promise! She cares her heart is full of gold I will definitely recommend her.
Took her for A&P 2 and lab. She is a great professor and cares about you doing well. I would recommend taking her for lab and lecture because they tie in with each other and what you study for lab is pretty much what is on the lecture exams. Anatomy is hard so you have to study and you'll do good. One easy group project and drops lowest exam
It's important that you study and come to all labs she wants everyone to pass so if u skip class don't look forward in passing review all ur labs because you will have a quiz on the labs,do all that and you will succeed
In class, she goes through the PP slides that she provides to you online. All quizzes are online but its all copy pasta with answers that you can google. She does not review the practicals very well. Your only hint of success for the practical is looking at the final exam review she has online if. If you take her, take her online.
If you ask for help in the class she just tells you to email other students who are doing well. Her notes and material are unreliable, they are either exactly like the quiz material or nothing like them at all so you never know what to expect or study. One quiz per week. Seven tests (midterm and final proctored). Four discussion boards.
I took Gionet for A&P 2, lecture and lab. She is TOUGH but anatomy is HARD. If you're a nursing major I highly recommend taking her. She is going to teach you what you NEED to know, not what you need to PASS. Study group is a life saver. Her exams come from power points. Quizzes have virtually nothing to do with her exam.
There is not a lot of work for the class I will say that, but the only thing you have are quizzes a couple discussion and the test. The test are hard, there is no study guide . She said we would not need a book but luckily i had my anatomy lab book.. which I used a lot for the class since the notes did not help much.
Dr. G is a good lecturer, she does not read word for word from her PPTs (Which is good). She explains very well and provides plenty of extra credit opportunities. AnP is not easy so you must study. Her exams are straight from the PPT, just know the key points to study for and you should be solid. Have some science background before you complain.
Took her class online. She gives a lot of info for each chapter such as power points, notes and pictures But none of that is on any test i noticed. i had to read my book and look for additional information to help. Test are Heavy and Hard, pretty have to answer quickly or your time will run out. Last thing dont ask for anything she wont help.
I loved Dr. G! My first lecture exam I did not do so well, but she gave me words of encouragement and I ended up with the grade I wanted. Yes, her PowerPoints have a lot of information and like she would say "everything is fair game". STUDY, STUDY, and STUDY! Exams aren't that bad and the quizzes online are fairly easy.
I loved her format for A/P online. I'm a horrible test taker and she worked with me to make sure I reached my full potential. She offers extra credit that can be done in person or online. However, she is very strict on the schedule of the class; don't expect to get an exam or test date changed unless a family emergency occurs.
Tests are hard. I have her online and we do a lot of the homework and small assignments through mastering assignments which are easy. When it comes to the tests, she has a study guide but there's a lot of material not included on the study guide. She has notes on PP which are not much help so I end up using the book anyway. Get ready to study a lot
Professor Gionet is a good person but tough prof. Lecture is 10x "easier" than lab as she is very specific in her power-points and really wants you to learn. She does her chapter quizzes online, timed. Though her 50 question in class exams are a little bit more intense. You really have to study hard to pass. Put in the effort & you'll be fine
Lab exams are -extremely- difficult and require in insane amount of dedication. Remembering models and functions is key but she throws curve balls. 10 Q quizzes written out NO word bank/mult choice. (1min/q) 50 Q exam walk around the room 1by1 (2min/Q). Blank paper- you fill in answer & spelling counts. The study room and study groups are key!!
Tons of powerpoints and reading. You are given study guides and given clear direction, until you get to the quiz at the end of the week. The info you've studied all week building confidence with won't be on your quiz, and if it is, you won't notice. Get a tutor now if you've already signed up, if not, do yourself a favor and take another professor.
1 or 2 chapters covered weekly. YT vids and her heavy power points. Hw assignments, dynamic study modules, and a quiz for each chapter. There are 4unit tests (2 proctored)a discussion for each unit. Read the text book/ teach yourself! Its hard to know whats important to know for the tests. Assignment heavy and heavy powerpoints. Hard but possible
I am not a nursing major or pre-med, but Prof. Gionet made me seriously consider switching. Her powerpoints are better than any textbook you could buy and her lectures really get you thinking about the human body. A&P is not an easy class but she made it feel like a breeze because everything is so dang interesting! She also cracks adorable jokes:)
I took Prof. Gionet for A&PII online. Her course is very structured and well organized. Her lecture slides follow the chapter perfectly, and give a good direction of what to study. I highly recommend her for any course she offers! She was great!
Dr. Gionet is an amazing professor. She is very in tune with her students and will want you to succeed if your willing to put forth the effort. I took this class in the midst of the Covid pandemic and although we were forced to switch to online Dr. Gionet was still readily accessible and great to learn from. Anatomy is a very very tough subject.
I can't express in just 350 words how great of a professor she is I recommend her to everyone! She was easily accessible after hours, and our class as well as others created a study group that would meet up and she would come even on the weekends for hours to help us. She truly cares about her students and makes learning a tough subject exciting!
100% would not recommend as first time anatomy takers like myself. 100+ slides weekly. Not really taught just reading word for word. I asked this teacher for help tells me to read the slides. She doesn't seem to care about her students. Cried for help to her twice and she did nothing abt it. Tests are not similar to slides. All around terrible
I took Dr. Gionet for Anatomy I and II for both lecture classes and can honestly say I am lucky to have had her. She is a passionate teacher that wants to produce good nurses. She is blunt but will explain to you things you do not understand. Dr. Gionet is always accessible will help you, if you help yourself. If you need this course take her!
Not too hard of a class. very attentive professor. there is only one quiz a week and three exams. the exams are heavily graded but there are some opportunities for extra credit. The quizzes are 25% of your grade and the exams are 75% of your grade (quoted directly from the rubric).
She just reads slides then quizzes have nothing on them you learned. You have to do your own research on YouTube to learn anything. No reviews available and you can't see the answers you get wrong on your exams to improve for the final. Video links don't work. Spelling errors everywhere. Do yourself a favor and pick another class.
I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed and the thought of taking A&P gave me anxiety. I took Dr Gionet online for A&P 1 and 2 (BSC2086 was the 10 week summer course). She always answered my emails and offers to do a zoom to go over exam results. How I passed... Make flashcards out of her lecture notes and download/listen to her lectures constantly.
Online Anatomy takers - RUN! When you ask for help or clarification, she tells you to make a study group. The zoom lectures are from when the college closed at the start of Covid and she was reading someone elses slides. I only passed this class because of watching and researching youtube and reading the book she says you dont need. BEWARE!
Great teacher. Has zoom videos to look back on with explanations so that helps. Lecture dense with a lot of slides but it's manageable. Has kahoots during class. Gives feedback on wrong answers.
