I thought this course was extremely hard to do online (as I was told by others). I don't know if it would have been any easier with another teacher. However, the final exam is basically all your four unit tests, so save those tests for an easy grade. Therein lies your curve.

Mrs Gonyea is a pretty cool teacher. Much more down to earth than most. She knows a lot of people are taking the course because they have to, and makes the best of it. Tries her hardest to make the class as enjoyable as possible. Lets you out early a lot too.

Ms. Gonyea is still my favorite professor at HVCC. She knows half the kids don't want to be there. She is very funny and her expectations are clear. Swears sometimes to keep kids awake, overall pretty easy

She is such a good teacher you will not find a better teacher. if you dont need to know something she will tell you that you dont need it and she is so nice and so easy to talk to and get help from. her outlines are so helpful and the papers are so true to life there so easy to do and she does 25 pt. things there easy A's

Mrs. Gonyea is one of the best teachers i have ever had. She hands out a outline for every chapter, plus she practically goes over whats going to be on the test, so there are not surprises. I would recommend taking this class, real easy and a great teacher.

Incredibly easy to pass this class. She gives out handouts for every chapter, extra credit, 5 hw assignments for the semester. If you miss class you still get the info because she hands out color coordinated handouts. exemptions, curves full letter grade on tests. Take her if its a class for gen ed.

She is nice, but you have to be in class to know what is going on... not a lot of homework (only 4, 25pt assignments)... never opened a book, but you need to study

Prof. Gonyea is the best Macroeconomics teacher ever! You have 4 tests and you get color coded nots for each test so they are easy to keep track of. You also get easy 25-point assignments that factor in as a test grade. You have one term paper that only has to be 4 pages. Take this class with her you won't regret it!

DO NOT take her ONLINE. You have a much better chance of passing if you take her in person. Online class is one the hardest I've ever taken. Avoid like the plague.

Very intellectual woman. Sheds light into many subjects and doesn't mind getting off topic to field questions. Book not necessary and very little homework. Recommend.

She is a very nice professor and her class is extremely easy to pass. She talks fast which helps speed up the lectures and she is always available for extra help. you rarely use aplia in her class and she gives good notes. her tests are word for word from the notes.

Talks fast, class ends 10 minutes early, she'll go over tests before to review, explains everything clearly, knows what she is talking about, gives great note packets, DON'T buy the textbook just get the online hw piece... take her class!!

She made class pretty easy

This class has way too much information and is very difficult to take online. The book, Macro Economics, 10th Edition, was very "wordy" and hard for follow. Prof is responsive to email and promptly grades quizzes, tests and papers. Her tests are brutal, so hard and they are timed, ugh. I hate that pressure.

although there was alot of info to learn, She really knew what she was talking about and her tests are word for word right out of the packet. class isnt really mandatory cus her lecture is everything in the packet, but she drops your lowest test grade if your absent <3 times.

She hands out note packets with all the info. Don't need the book. Also, gives review sheets with what to study for test. A lot of info, but an easy class.

Professor Gonyea was an excellent Macro teacher! Her lectures were funny and concise and she spelled out everything you needed to know for tests and assignments and was very clear. I want to take her again for Micro if possible.

I had her for the Fall semester 2014. She is lets you have a cheat sheet for every test including the final. She understands what it is like to be a student, lots of common sense, and very logical. Most students would say it is hard to fail her class. The notes she gives you is exactly what is on each test and on the Final. She is also very funny!

She really is good, take her class its simple. Just a few quick easy assignments and study for the tests. I didn't study too hard and did alright, but if you study you'll probably Ace it. Not that hard at all. Also you may only be in class for sometimes just 20 mins. And the review day b4 the test you don't actually have to show up to it.

Prof. Gonyea is the best professor I have had in my time at HVCC. Marco is not an easy class, but if you show up to class, take notes and put the time in you can get an A in this class. She brings Economics down to the level of a student and is extremely reasonable when it comes to grading assignments and tests.

Choose her over the others. Will actually learn something.

She is awesome! It's not a supper easy subject but she makes you want to learn more about it. Learned things I would of never even thought to understand. Highly recommend.

Phenomenal teacher who really knows what she's talking about. As long as you go to class and study you will have no problem passing. She's very kind and helpful with the material. She also responds to emails pretty quick and can be pretty funny sometimes during lectures. She also gives you an outline of every lecture which was very helpful.

Gonyea is awesome, I've taken one other economics class at HVCC and she's the professor you need to pick! She hands out helpful packets for each unit and even gives you a cheat sheet on what to study for the test. It's an easy A as long as you do what she asks you to do.

Prof. Gonyea is by far the best professor I have had at HVCC. I had her for an 8 am class and she was extremely down to earth and explained economics to us in a way we could understand. So many people I know said they hated economics. I loved the class and I believe it was all because of Prof. Gonyea. I wish I could take another class with her.

I took her online Macroeconomics class and I learned a lot. She designs the course so that you have to read the textbook in order to succeed. Even through tough times she had good notes and input. I didn't like that she never posted anything, it was kind of weird. Overall a good choice!

Gonyea is one of the best professors! Her lecture is actually interesting and you'll want to attend class. She hands out a outline packet that discusses the topics. You don't really need the book, unless you want to do a bit of extra studying. Gives a handout of exactly whats on the test day before. Show up, pay attention take notes, easy A!

one of my favorite teachers this semester. If you take macro and don't have her your missing out! you just have to study the packets she gives you and you'll do well on the tests. Doesn't give any homework, just 4 25 point assignments near each test and a paper that we have a month to do. Bummed she doesn't teach micro :(

Easy grader, do your work and show up and you will get an A. Don't buy the textbook for her econ 100 class.

I loved Professor Gonyea's class! Her class is very straightforward. As long as you come to class and fill in notes in the note packets you will be fine. Her tests a based off the notes handed out. Her other assignments are easy as well. Overall if you need to take Macro Economics she is the professor to take it with!

This class was very organized and easy to follow. This is not a weekly ZOOM class so if you need face to face time with her you have to ask for it. I like self passing my work so it worked for me but if you can't do that you should take a teacher with special weekly ZOOM lecture if you need that sort of thing. I learned a lot and really liked it.

I had soooo many personal issues this semester and Prof Gonyea was VERY willing to work with me and helped me get through this class. She let me make up work I missed due to unexpected problems and always emailed me back with solutions. So glad I took this class because I hear other teachers would of failed me by now.

I finished the final early. She lets you work ahead. Need the book to do the weekly work. One quiz and one discusssion every week. Paper is only 4 pages so not bad and tests are multiple choice. Easy to fallow and get a good grade. I crack up at all the people who trash teachers for not showing their face lol its an online class people lol not zoom

I can't wait for Covid to be over becasue i dont like online classes BUT as far as online classes go this one was pretty easy. I thought I was getting a B but she rounded me up to an A in the end. just do the weekly work and will pass.

Pretty easy going. Weekly course load consists of a discussion board post, as well as reading a chapter or 2, and taking an all multiple choice quiz.

This class is really well organized and easy to follow. It is a traditional online class so no zoom meeting required. She will set one up if you ask for one which I did once an she was very willing to answers all my questions. Always responded to my emails and I had a lot of emails. I would take micro from her too if she taught it.

Taking this class now. I really like that answers my email pretty much the same day every time. She has lots of videos and they are really helping me understand the stuff in the book I don't get. I came on here to see if she taught micro. I really like here class so far and im looking to take here again.

i wish all online classes where like this. she gives you notes and videos to help with the text book. the videos are really helping me get through this class. i am not good with graphs and the videos are helping. would take her again

She was great. My favorit professor so far. Always had somthing interesting to talk about in class. I hate math but she made the math graph stuff pretty easy to understand. So glad i switched into her class.

She's very clear about how the course is laid out, she even gives notes packets to follow along as she lectures and to use to study for a test. Before tests, she gives a bulleted list of the topics question by question, so if you know a couple of graphs and formulas, several definitions, and the concepts on the list, you're getting an A. Great pick

Ms Gonyea is a fair professor. Even though I took this as an online class, she was always available to explain something if I had a question. She gives great feedback and gives thorough instruction as to what to expect from the assignments.

I took this class online, but Professor Gonyea was always willing to respond and give me a ton of help behind the scenes. She is caring and is clear on her expectations for the class. Awesome teacher who you need to take.

Super nice person and always gives good feedback to her students when needed. Although the class was hard for me, she was a great professor.

Not the easiest class but not bad. Note packets make it easy to organize the material, I never used the textbook, she gives 50 question tests every few weeks which are fairly difficult. Then a couple short assignments and a research paper.

Knows her stuff, 4 units, each unit has an assignment and a test. and a final/ research paper (only 4 pages double spaced)!! She gives a review sheet that has in order questions and what you should know. Its very easy to do well if you pay attention.

Yeah, don't bother with anyone else, just take her class. She's great and the class is pretty straight forward.

I lover her!!!! Definitely my favorite prof so far. Make sure you are in class the days she gives out the review sheets for the tests they make studying for the tests way easier.

Not all professors treat their students with genuine patience, not all clearly genuinely care, but she is both above and beyond. I could have easily failed but she gave me chances to make it through.

Laura was a fun teacher and made Econ micro interesting. Yes we had papers but they were easy and what we talked about in class. Honestly if you struggle, you're just not the brightest. Each exam had review sheet and it was pretty much just the test. Yall are dumb if you fail and if you are not doing well she will help you and give extra credit.

Laura was a great teacher. She was very calm and casual which made class fun. There are papers to do but they were easy and didn't involve much thought. She prepared us well for each exam so if you did badly you probably didn't study. Review sheets for each test that said in detail what will be on it. Definitely take her. She is a queen.

This class was extremely easy to pass and the material was laid out so you can pass this course easily. If you don't show up and do the few assignments and exams then you are setting yourself up for failure. Show up, read the outlines, do the assignments, and you will score high on exams. Prof. Gonyea sets her expectations very clearly.

Professor Gonyea is one to take if you do not want to be overly stressed. Her class is formatted in a simple way, and though there are a good amount of assignments, they are simple. The textbook is optional, she is responsive, and she cares about your grade. You should take her course if you do too!
