Very nice woman that is actually interested in what she is teaching which is always nice. Tests are extremely tough IF you don't study. However, she hands out a study guide so if you learn from that, you'll be fine. Drops the lowest test score, which is extremely helpful. Makes quirky jokes that you can't help but smile at!

Winter09-Online Great online intructer, interesting class only two 2-3pg free-write assignt.s &10 discussion responses(very positive grader), 3 100Question tests are hard but gives half of the questions and answers in practice test form which helps alot. That's all. Would recommend as online class. Seems like a classy lady. Simple to pass

I took Dr. Greathouse in Fall 2008. She is a good speaker, very quirky. Tests were multiple choice, true/false and 25 point essay question. She's an easy grader for the final project, just follow the guidelines! Let's you make up response papers. I definitely recommend her, I passed with an A! NOT BORING AT ALL! You'll have fun!

She is awesome. She has great stories to with her great lectures. She is super sweet and her class is easy if you understand the material. As long as you comprehend the lecture and textbook...there is NO reason why you shouldn't get an A in this class. TAKE THIS INSTRUCTOR'S CLASS!!!!

Great teacher. Lecture based teaching and if you take good notes and listen to her lectures and great stories that correlate with the lecture. Even if you don't buy the book you should get an A. She works with her students, and if anything is unclear she'll gladly help you out. Do I recommend her? Yes.

Dr. Greathouse is the best teacher I have ever had. She makes learning fun b/c she has a ton of stories and real world experiences that she tells you. She is quirky and sweet and always willing to help. Her classes are mainly lecture based, and with good notes, you'll do great! (I didn't study with my book, I got an A. Again, BEST TEACHER EVER!

Prof. Greathouse was extremely helpful. She wanted each of her students to succeed, and was more than willing to do what it took to see that they did. She extended due dates when necessary, was willing to e-mail missed lectures, and speak with students outside of class. Humorous and pleasant as a professor. Knows her stuff and knows how to teach.

Greathouse is awesome. Even though I'm not interested in anthropology in the slightest, her class was my favorite. Just do your work, and look over the study guides she gives before each test and you're good. After each test, you get your answers back for the final, which is basically made of the same EXACT questions from the tests. Easy A.

Hard class, but VERY good teacher! She goes out of her way to help students, and explain anything. Took the online class, and she was quick to respond to questions, and fairly fast with grades. You MUST read the book to pass the class, so don't take it and think you'll be able to glide through.

She is funny relaxed and this class is very easy. Best thing to do is memorize the vocab words she gives you, the essay questions are easy and b/c she gives u the ones to choose from b4 the tests, write out a short essay u can memorize. Your golden!

I LOVE HER. She's hilarious and very easy to understand. Her test threw me a loop when I didn't have the book but overall it's easy to pass her class. Definitely taking her again.

I love her so much! She made Physical Anthropology so much fun to learn, and it's because of her that I am considering changing my major. I will be taking more classes with her in the future because I know with her at the helm I will learn and have a blast while doing it.

This professor rocked! Test are easy with the help of study guides, labs are fun, and always has interesting stories to tell that relates to the material. I would love to take her again for future anthropolgy courses.

I took her class online VERY interesting. I messed up and didn't order the book in time so I just went without it, and I still got an A. Lots of extra reading and no study guides, but still a fun class.

Took her online winter course and loved it. She makes everything easy to follow and understand. No discussions are required and on top of that she offers some easy extra credit. I highly recommend her for Anthropology.

Extremely easy class. Go to class on the days when she passes out the study guide, and then make notecards. If you memorize them, which isn't hard, then you'll get an A.

Online class is very easy. Work is laid out in a simple form. You read a chapter a week & do an assignment. Exams questions are covered in the self tests. You have 3 exams and she drops 1(the lowest grade). Also 1 cumulative final exam. No discussion posts are required. If you do the work you will get an A. I don't believe in evolution & got an A

Dr. Greathouse is truly the best professor I have ever had. She is so knowledgable and entertaining. She kept all her students interested. Her tests are really easy and there is only one essay; thats it for homework. She is very caring and will work with you if you missed a test. I HIGHLY recommend taking her class. Any of them.

LOVED her class! Easy A. No quizes. Few group activities. Final project is a group project..you can do yours alone, i did mine alone! Funny, sweet lady. There was three or four tests. She drops the lowest one. And her final consists of previous test questions. If you can, take her!!!

Dr. G sprinkled multiple group activities/videos/movies into semester so it made it fun, easy, and innovative. No need for textbook, 97% of test material came from lecture notes. Perfect class to sit back, relax, and learn. The key to a full-proof A is to show up to class and take notes. Notes are powerpoint and not available other than lecture.

This wasnt the online class so with that being said, i loved it. shes very chill and attendance isnt manadatory for this class you do have to do like answer hmwrk ?'s every now and then but you can literally bs it and pass. This was an easy class to take. 3 test, really easy, drops lowest score, final is previous test questions. Great chill class!

Took this professor's classes over several semesters and courses (physical, linguistics, and religion.) She is very knowledgeable, and class is entertaining. Works as an anthropologist which is a plus because you can understand the application of some of the lessons, as well as first hand experiences.

Probably the most chill teacher that I have ever had, class is ridiculously easy. Never need the book, the test are all the notes. She's very funny too, test are super easy plus she drops the lowest, if you're an athlete and need in easy A take her believe me. I took her for both Psychical anthropology & Religion.

Great prof., if you can communicate well with her. Her class is honestly boring, but her test aren't as complicated as they seem. Study, and you'll do fine. The final is the easiest final you'll ever take @ RCC. I got a %100 on it, it only took me no more than 10-15 mins to finish. Overall it was an easy class to get an A in. Too easy. :)

Great class, the assignments are super easy. the books we use was scattered and all over the place. Not the same book as a friend of mine had. Overall easy class just study the material from her written lectures and the book and you will do fine. The assignments are pointless to be honest you can get it done in an hour

Anthro 1 (taken online) was one of the most interesting classes I've ever had. Professor Greathouse provides great "lecture" material online and lots of resources to use. Assignments were helpful (and easy), fun discussion board. 3 midterms (she drops lowest grade), and final were very fair. There are review exams for practice. Great course!

Excellent! Funny, nice, and pretty easy class. 3 tests and little to no homework. Study notes for test. For cultural: paper on the study of a society you create. For physical: no paper. For anthropology of religion: book report on The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down.

Amazing professor. Her lectures are absolutely phenomenal. She's funny and tells the best stories. She makes the class interesting that time flies. She gives great feedback on essays (if you do the drafts which is highly recommended) and she never lets you go in exams unprepared. Amazing. I want to take all of her other classes just to have her.

Get ready to not want to ever leave her class! Dr. Greathouse is fantastic. She is extremely knowledgeable and lectures in such a way that it feels like you are out in the field. She provides a study guide prior to each exam and if you stick to it, you will do great in her class. Homework is not difficult as it involves a small amount of research.

I took her for Fall 2015 and I barely got an A. She assigns few points, so each one is valuable. Read her notes, and you'll do well. I did use the book, but realized after that her notes were suffice. It was kind of boring, but there were some interesting things overall. She drops the lowest test grade, awesome!

Does not accept late work. 3 midterms- 40 multiple choice questions on each; drops the lowest exam score so only two of them count towards your grade. I have taken Dr. Greathouse numerous times. Her lectures are amazing, entertaining, and memorable every single day. I want to show up to her class because I know it is going to be a good time, with the added bonus of learning a ton. Her tests are not easy, but she prepares you well. I looked forward to attending class every day because I knew I would learn and have a great time. She makes the material easy to understand and interesting and grades relatively leniently. Unfortunately, we didn't go to the zoo like other classes.

Take this wonderful woman as your professor. She truly cares about her students. When she noticed that we were stressed out and panicking, she made our midterm TAKE-HOME, and gave us a mini pep talk on how we shouldn't base our self-worth on our grades. Dr. Greathouse, takes her time to assist her students. She will set aside time to go over questions with you and she answers her emails. She provides great lectures which are easy to understand. She has a great personality and really cares about her students. the class is very interesting you will learn a lot without feeling overwhelmed.

I took her ONLINE class FALL2017, fairly easy. Its mostly reading and taking notes. A few assignments and test. Everything is pretty straight forward.

Dr. Greathouse was by far one of the best professors here at RCC! If you have the chance to take her, do it! The class was very interesting and was not that hard. Dr. Greathouse made the material easy to understand. Be prepared to read, not too many essays, just the midterm and research paper, overall it was not bad at all. You wont regret it!

Very easy class. Minimal textbook use. Weekly assignments (takes about 10 min). One extra credit assignment. 3 midterm exams (answers online). Final is made up of randoms questions chosen from the 3 midterms which you can look back on. Overall an easy A.

I enrolled in the class and didn't realize it was about religions, rituals, and witchcraft. Quite an interesting class and very easy. The professor is pretty laid back as well, which made the class enjoyable and less stressful. The easiest class I've taken yet!!

Made ANT very easy to understand. Only 3 papers that are based on your grade. Grades very easy and allows you to fix them and receive a better score. Also tells interesting stories when she went to Asia. Has office hours and I recommend you go to her to discuss your topic papers.

A very well organized online class that includes a short weekly assignment, 3 midterms (drops lowest), final which is a variety of questions from previous midterms and a few extra credit opportunities.

Greathouse is legit one of the most caring and kind professors Ive ever had. She is extremely intelligent, but super down to earth and real. Her in-class lectures are great and you learn so much just from the anecdotes she teaches. I will totally take her again if I can because she is just that amazing and makes anthropology so interesting!

Free textbook online, research portfolio is end project, broken up into 5-6 papers. Accepted latework at full credit. Unfortunately this was an asynchronous class, but Dr. Greathouse is super accessible outside of class. Can help bounce ideas off of for your papers. Try to do the papers bit by bit so you don't get overwhelmed.

Very funny and laid back, weekly assignments only took like 10 minutes to complete. Three exams, but dropped the first one (lowest grade). Cares about students, and made us laugh during lectures. Definitely recommended.

Dr. G is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of my favorite professors of all time!! I've taken ANT-7 and ANT-2 with her and always enjoyed her class. She makes lectures interesting and she is so nice. If you need more time with assignments she lets you complete them without any deduction, which I really appreciated. I really appreciate. her as a professor.

Honestly not a hard class. Assignments were very simple and only took a few minutes during the week. Take notes during lecture and ask questions! You might want to read through the chapters for the midterms. Not hard concepts, just need to memorize terms really. 3 tests and she drops your worst grade. Small essay + vid project. Take this class!

I really enjoyed this class. She is really funny and also caring. She let me take my midterm on a different day after a tough day. She is really interesting and makes the class feel warm and fun. I would definitely recommend this class.

kindest professor ever! lectures were very engaging and not quite heavy. assignments are fairly short and simple. consists of three midterms and a final that is based all on the midterms. be sure to keep your notes handy (also be sure to take notes during lectures), to pass the exams with no problem. 10/10 recommend!

Dr G is a great professor I would take her classes again. She is a fair grader. Easy to talk to but not great at replying to emails. Lectures are cool. not a ton of homework.

This is a great class. Not massive amounts to read. easy prof to talk to if you get stuck. interesting class. not too many tests just, small write ups, end of module type tests and a final. lectures are relevant and not just the her talking at you, take notes and you will be fine in tests. not homework heavy. would recommend !
