Professor Heath was a little flighty but really cares about her students. Sometimes she moves too slow for the more advanced kids but if math's not your thing, she will make it understandable.

Ehh... She was okay. I wouldn't take her again though. Most kids dropped our class. She tries hard to be a good teacher, but I just don't think Stats is a good or easy class for anyone to teach. She really does care about her students though. From what I hear, Jahn is the guy to take for Stats.

i had a really hard time when i took her. i had her three times, but she does care about the students and does her best to help. she can be a little weird and silly at times and she has funny sound effects for some things, but it makes it more fun. shes good at what she does! i miss her!

She wasn't too bad. Like any class, whatever effort you put in you will get out. I hate math and with her class and a few trips to the math lab I got an 'A' for the first time ever! The tests were easy as long as you studied.

Proffessor Heath was a wonderful teacher. The only bad thing about the class itself was all of the homework assignments and practice tests. They should be optional..they help out but they are sooo tedious. Prof. heath is awesome though. she wants her students to do well and if you need her help she is more than available. I recommend her .

Professor Heath is an awesome Prof. She really relates well to people and has a great since of humor. As difficult as the subject of math is...she tries to do her best to get you through the rough spots. Since we are required by the state to take math,I highly recommend that you take classes from her. By the way, she is "easy" on the "eyes"!

Very good teacher, her algebra class was easier than calc. She teaches you how to do everything on the calc so it makes the class a lot less stressful, she also lets you use note cards for the tests. Highly suggest her

Prof. Heath is the best math teacher in PBCC. She is very caring and helpful. She lets us use notecards as cheatsheets for test. I wish I had known about her before, I would have taken all my math classes with her. She is very kind and goes the extra mile to help you without acting stuck up like Talebi does. Talebi is overrated. Take her class.

She is the best teacher of all time... she just knows what shes doing and loves it. There is a lot of work though, but its easy points, and doing them helps you on the tests. TAKE her, she is an awesome teacher.

I've enjoyed her class so far. She does give book homework and online homework and credit is given for doing both. She does allow the use of notecards on the test which is another plus. The Graphing Calculator and its use are incorporated from the beginning of the class which is rare from what I have seen. I look forward to taking her next semester

Anyone who says she is a bad teacher is probably lazy and didn't try, and blames her for their grade. You get back what you put into this class. I would recommend never missing a class and taking all the notes. She gives a lot of homework but in the end the points can really help. Her tests really aren't that bad if you do the work.

Teaching skills aren't so great, but it was still a fairly easy class. Not very helpful, but she does allow students to use note cards on the test. Going to class was a pain. She treats us as if we're in kindergarten with name tags and working with others. A lot of homework (both online and book). Just do the hw and you'll be fine.

Professor Heath is a really good teacher. She teaches everything in depth so you can really understand, if you don't you can do the online practices for more help and talk to her during her office hours. If you do the homework she assigns you'll have no problem acing the test. You should be able to pass her class with an A or B by doing your work.

Ok so I am usually terrible in math but Dr. Heath is an amazing teacher! She explains everything right to the point. Come to class, pay attention, and print the powerpoints off and you will be good to go! I really enjoyed this class, I got a b and would definitly take her again!

If you're not good at math, this is the prof to take. She is very clear, and if not, you can ask and she will go over it until you understand. No textbook, just notes, online homework & group project. It's not easy, but she helps you do your best, which is why I highly recommend her! As a person, she's very pleasant and makes class fun. class pace was TOO FAST for me & I fell behind. saved our wallets by not requiring textbook but in the end I spent long hours reviewing the online textbook & basically teaching myself, agonizing every time I didn't understand. she's real sweet, slightly dull, but really helpful. she's a great teacher but the subject matter was just not for me.

With Heath it is great because although you teach yourself she provides GREAT videos with step by step solutions which is necessary for math. The homework is the same as test . She's easy and nice. The problem with her is that she doesn't teach the whole class instead she post videos online where you would learn most of your lessons and complete your homework.

I took her online and she was great! Provides a lot of resources, wants students to do well and tries to give you extra credit...I was worried taking an online math class but the programs she uses are great and she is there to help every step of the way! There is a lot of HW, but its to help you learn how to solve problems, not just busy-work.

Took Dr. Heath for calc 3. Overall good teacher, doesn't waste any class time. uses webassign for homework. in the higher level classes it is up to you to learn the material but she definitely helps out by posting videos and powerpoints online

Dr Heath and all the math teachers at pbsc were forced to begin mymathlab this semester. So, I can't really blame her for giving me a C when I think I put in a lot of time and effort compared to everyone in my group. Overall, take the time to make your mymathlab quiz and HW grades high - you'll be more likely to recieve a high grade. She's good.

This class was pretty easy. I suck at math, but the homework assignments really helped. She's pretty receptive and responds to emails within a reasonable time. The class itself isn't hard, you just have to do the work. If you don't do the work, your grade WILL drop. She also doesn't accept late work.

She lets you use a index card for notes while taking the test and if you take tests early she gives extra credit and for the final shell drop your lowest quiz grade and replace it with the grade you get on the final. SHES AWESOME (:

Taking college algebra online and everything is very self explanatory. She responds to emails and is very sweet. If you put in the work there is no reason you shouldn't get an A in her class.

Amazing Professor! She went out of her way to notify you of all of you upcoming assignments through blackboard AND your personal email. She provides you with videos and powerpoints AND her own videos showing how to do the hw step by step. She gets back to you in a timely manner. She also gives extra points if you take the test before its due.

I'm not whatsoever great at math & I was very skeptical to take an online math class but professor Heath makes everything so much more easier than you think! Put the time in to study, and you will not get less than a B in her class. Gives ex credit, allows you to take the quizes up to two times (that can take at home). I HIGHLY RECCOMEND! :)

Can complete course early. Allows 3x5 note card with handwritten formulas on tests. Use practice Quiz/Test till you got it. EASY A. Fail, you earned that.

The best online professor yet -and I've taken 61 hours online. Unlike many online math classes, the quantity of homework isn't based on your performance. Complete the practice tests with correct answers, and you will pass the actual tests. I would take her again if she were teaching the last two classes I need this fall - statistics and calculus.

It's college algebra, so you have to study in order to pass. You'll receive an A if you use all available resources provided by Professor Heath. She's a very nice teacher and wants you to succeed.

Dr. Heath supplied online lectures and pdf worksheets to help us understand the concepts she was trying to teach. In addition, she offered a Student Instructor for additional help using Blackboard Collaborate, and she, herself, was always available for questions. I took this as an online course, and even though I struggle with math, I did well.

Took online college algebra with her, expectations and grading criteria are very clearly laid out from day 1. Gives extra credit for taking tests early. You can bring a 3x5 note card with formulas etc. written on it to tests. For the online class she posts her own homework videos explaining things in addition to the normal course videos.

She is AMAZING! Exceptional professor who goes above and beyond. It doesn't matter if you're weak or strong at math, her teaching style fits everyone. Lessons and grading criteria are crystal clear. This class is pretty easy. Do the work and watch her videos that literally walk you through each HW problem and you should have no trouble passing. Some quiz questions are a little different from the HW. But if you are learning it shouldn't be hard. She gives you all the material you need including her notes. Its easy if you understand math.

Dr. Heath has a good heart. Helpful if you need it. Online class is all about doing the work and studying for the tests. 2chances on quizez which is dope. I got an A both times I took her. Never met her bit she always seemed super cool in our coursemail exchanges. Would have taken her for stats if she taught it.

I took Professor Heath online for Mac1105 and Mat1033c and I would take her again if she taught statistics. Her class is perfect for students who are capable of self teaching. All your work is done through an online program. Two chances for quizzes and if you take your tests early she will give up to 3 points extra credit.

She teaches great, but she made us put way too much effort into this class. Lot's of WebAssign homework. She also squeezes lots of topics into 1 hour 45 minutes lecture, so she explains everything quickly. She gives 5 tests total, they are somewhat pushing your limits. Felt like in middle school when she took attendance twice every class.

Amazing professor! Took her online for MAC1105 & MAT1033C. Her notes and videos are really helpful and the tests are easy as you can bring a note card with formulas on it!! Dr. Heath replaces the lowest test grade with your final grade which can be super helpful if you do well. She's great and really cares about her students!

Very informative videos by the Prof and the MathLab online homework is excellent for teaching algebra as you go through the work. Homework and practice tests match exams.

If God was a professor it would be Laura Heath. Even though I took her online, I could still tell she cares a lot about her students. Her lesson handouts are clear and helpful, she lets you bring a note card to tests and drops the lowest test grade with the final grade! 10/10 Communication and offered one extra credit op.

Dr Heath is one of the best professors I have ever had. I normally do not do well in math classes, and I actually did well in this class. I know it is because of how she teaches. This is also an online class, so I was even more nervous, but her homework videos where she goes over the problems are what really helped me.

Dr. Heath was a great professor. She makes you do homework on webassign and assigns due dates, which are usually one week after the lecture. Gives you 5 tests throughout the course and your grade includes homework, participation(attendance and not on your phone), and your average test score. Her lectures are straight forward and posts them online.

After 2 failed intermediate algebra attempts, my third time was a charm thanks to Mrs. Heath! I've always been HORRIBLE at math but somehow she was able to get through to me and I passed! Her tests were VERY easy and she gave all of the easy questions on them, none of the super complex ones. Lol. Just take her, it'll be a much easier pass! :)

I'll be honest. I just started this class after previously dropping out of another college algebra class last fall, and it is SOOO MUCH BETTER compared to the last professor. She assigns a reasonable amount of homework, includes videos of people working out the problems, and you can re-do homework problems until you get 100%. Highly recommend her.

I cant believe I was actually able to pass a math class ONLINE! Professor Heath provided great lectures and notes to help. A lot of homework but easy enough to pass. Tests were easier than the quizzes and she grades very fair with extra credit points for doing things early.

Book needed for access code, great online teacher. She helped as much as she could. Anywhere from 2-5 assignments ( unlimited attempts ) and 1 quiz due weekly. Dr. Heath has been one of my best math teachers, even with this class being online. She has a YouTube playlist for each chapter and walks you through the homework step-by-step, which allowed me to understand the lessons just by taking notes. She also allows you to use a flashcard on the tests and gives you extra credit for taking them early.

I took Professor Heath's class online. The course assignments on Blackboard were easy to follow and the videos of her lectures was extremely helpful. Due dates were given in advance and she gave opportunities for extra credit by taking the tests early. As long as you follow along and do the practice assignments, you will pass.

This is the second time I've taken an online class with Prof. Heath. Math is not always an easy subject, especially online, but the way she has her online program set up it is very user friendly and easy to navigate. She is very responsive with questions, and tutoring is available. You will work for your grade, but can pass math online with her.

I took this class online so everything was done at my own pace. Assignments are due every Friday by midnight. She gives extra credit if you complete the tests ahead of time. She provides videos on how to do the homework and is willing to help if you reach out to her. Made college algebra easy. HIGHLY recommend.

Honestly anyone that says she isn't a good teach just didn't try. It was annoying having to show up every day because she makes you but worth it. She doe not allow computers or phones which helps. Professor provided great videos on how to do the problems, then provided additional videos in the homework sections. Just follow along and you'll be fine. Tests are on respondus with webcam and are multiple choice. She gives 3 extra points/test in MyLab if you take the test 3 days early, and has a teacher assistant that's always offering help.

I'm good at math, so this course was extremely easy. There are lecture videos for each lesson and I did not watch one. The homework assignments take awhile, but I just let the videos play while doing other hw. You can redo assignments until you get a 100. For tests, you get extra credit for doing it early. Prof. Heath seems nice.

Graded mostly on 4 tests, which can be completed ahead of time. Only negative about this professor is that she spams your school email and blackboard announcements are poorly organized. Other than that great class and would recommend.

I took Professor Heath for intermediate math and I do not regret it. I was hesitant at first since it was my first math class completely online, but the lectures she includes on MyMathLab made it easier. She allows you to use an index card or two for tests. I took her before COVID-19 by the way

I took her for MAT and now MAC1105; she requires graphing calc for MAC and lets you use for tests along with one note card. I took this during the summer and finished a month early with 3 other classes. And I passed with a 97%. Watch her lessons, she goes over the homework question by question. Just work the questions out on paper. You'll do great.

This class is well organized and Dr. Heath is a responsive professor. Attending the provided weekly study sessions have been so helpful when preparing for a test. Any time I did not attend them, I did poorly on the tests. Definitely study the math if you want to pass

I currently have Mrs. Heath for MAC1105 and I love her class. Her lectures are very clear and she moves at a slow pace to ensure everyone understands the lesson. She is flexible with assignment dates (one/two homeworks and pop quiz per week) and is very understanding and also allows a notecard for tests. I definitely recommend this teacher!

Took this class in person 2x a week.Very easy, credit fulfilling class. Akin to a high school math course.Lots of hw assignments-2 a week + a quiz,but the due dates are very clear. Guided notes were provided in class and we used Pearson MyLab for all assignments. graphing calculators are provided in person as well. 1 flashcard w/notes for each test

Seriously such a caring professor. She makes the material super understandable and easy to digest. She is also very responsive and gives clear feedback. You also get to use an index card for every test and she drops the lowest quiz and homework at the end of the term. I can't say enough good things about this professor. Wish I had more room.

It is a math class,so obviously it's going to be a lot of homework, but if you time yourself, you are bound to get everything done. She reminds us frequently when things are due, and all exams are done at the testing center! She lets us use an index card,TAKE advantage of it! I took this class online and it was very easy! There are videos for every homework assignment, and examples if you don't understand a certain question. You have 2 tries for each quiz, and there are 4 tests in the semester which must be taken in person. There were around 3-5 assignments a week, but were pretty easy to get through.

If you stay on top of your assignments, this class is not hard. Dr. Heath provides lectures as well as examples within the homework. She gives multiple attempts on homework and two attempts on quizzes. You will have to take tests (4) and final at testing center. She drops lowest quiz and replaces lowest test grade with final grade if it is higher.

I needed to take a statistics course in order to apply for my master's, and I'm glad that I was able to have her as my professor. She was very accessible when it came to having questions about homework or quizzes. She allowed you to have one small index card with formulas, which you are able to use on quizzes and tests. 10/10, I highly recommend!

Homework Mon-Thurs. You can only see your grade on mymathlab. Good professor with many videos you can access, but I'm not good at math at all, so I'm struggling. Five tests you have to take at the testing center. Final exam replaces lowest test score.

I dislike Algebra with a passion. I took her fully online there is homework at least 3 per week or every other week.she has quizzes no lockdown browser. the exams you have to take at the testing center and she gives extra credit if you go 3 days in advanced and you can bring an index card. DO THE PRACTICE TESTS. SUPER SIMILAR TO TESTS! 10/10

If you need any help with the material, she or a qualified tutor will help you. The program that was used is MyMathLab. Many opportunities for extra credit, by taking the chapter tests early. If you are not good in math, this class will not give you an easy A, but help you progress using whatever math skills you have and help you create new ones.

Professor Heath makes this class very manageable, even for math-averse students. The homework, quizzes, and exams are designed to help you learn the material, and she offers great support through study sessions. unstuck study was a game-changer for my test prep.

Very easy, 1 quiz once a week that is not lockdown browser, 1 test a month about 20 questions in testing center, and 3-4 math assignments a week. Responds to emails quickly.

This course is very easy if you do all of the weekly assignments on time and copy the formulas you need for the quizzes and the exams since she allows you to use a small sheet for formulas. It requires a graphic calculator which is a little expensive and you have to go 4 times to a testing center to take the exams. Easy A if you're organized.

Fall 2023 She's amazing. She really does care and she tries different ways to teach you. From visuals to activities. She gives out amazing handouts for the test and make sure you have a scientific calculator. She teaches you how to use it. You have to actually put in the work for this class.
