Take this prof for any class she teachs. She makes the class fun, brings snacks, and is overall very helpful to students. If one student is doing poorly, she helps them. No one could fail her class unless they didn't want to help themselves. And everyone who has ever taken her, loves her.

Doc is an amazing professor! She is always willing to answer questions, and has a great sense of humor. Her tests are challanging, but if you put in the effort, you will do well in her class. I took this class online, and was amazed how quickly she returned e-mails.

I am taking the class online right now and It is really hard, however Doc makes it more interesting and fun. She is always in a good mood and she makes us laugh by making jokes and being silly.

The class is difficult but thats not her fault that is just how A&P is, but she curves everyhting and drops a few quizzes too so that helps a lot. She's GREAT!!!

Interesting and entertaining professor who presents the material clearly. If the material is by its nature challenging, that's not her fault. She tells you what you need to know. Recommended. Just don't let her catch you being silly with the animals you dissect.

Doc is a great professor. I won't kid you- her tests are tough- but it is b/c she wants you to really grasp the info. Took A&PII online and wish I had been able to take it in person with her- her lectures must be great. Doc is such a great teacher, I wish I had her for lecture. she's the first prof at HVCC that I am intrigued by her lectures. Her explanations are so basic and easy to understand, she is not fake and doesn't try to impress you with junk you don't need to learn anyway. If you can, take her class. She's fantastic!

Anatomy is a tough class. This teacher shows she wants to help every student pass. She curves every test including the final. We all did super bad on one test so she gave us all a 100! She wants you to succeed. Awesome teacher!

A&P as all others had said, isn't easy. But Doc makes it interesting. I took A&P online with Lab in on Campus. If you come to Lab and stay. You will know what to expect on the Lab test and the Lecture exams. You wants you to pass her class. She is the best Teacher.

Dr. M. is a very nice person. Very laid back and funny! She provided review lists for all the tests. If you know the topics on the list,you will do well on the tests. She was always readily available for questions in person or by email.

Mastrangelo is great! Best teacher in my college career. Down to earth and knows how to explain tough stuff. Took over for a sick teacher, and wowed us with her teaching ability, sense of humor and knowledge. It was like going from economy to first class with Mastrangelo taking over.

She's GREAT! FUN! REFRESHING! Responds well to questions. However, one word of caution! For essay questions on her tests, just answering the question is not enough. She expects extra info. When I discovered that, I started writing long paragraphs as answers, and that made a huge difference. I recomend recording her lectures for test prep

One of the coolest and most down to earth teachers I've ever had. She's always willing to help you out (school OR personal life!). Makes lecture and tests/lab quizzes easy because she tells you exactly what's on them! I'd say easy A if you put time and effort into studying and understanding material. Overall great class.

Even though this is a really tough class, Doc is more than willing to help you out if you are serious about succeeding! (I know it sounds corny but its true.) She is so nice - & funny! :) My advice to anyone taking this class is to jump in from day 1 with both feet, don't fall behind, & stick with it!

By far the BEST professor I've ever had at HVCC! She actually makes A&P interesting! Use the textbook! If you read chapters and listen to her in class you will be fine. She is excellent at her job. I did half this course online and half in the classroom. I loveddddd this class. Mastrangelo made this class fun and she always wanted to help out when she could. The class does take studying but if you go in for help and study whats on the lab sheets and test reviews you will get an A. I did!!

She is nice and helpful. I had her for A&P 1 &2 online. Test and lab work on campus but online quizzes on BB. Her test not bad as long as you study & lab quizzes easy. Got an B for A&P1 & C+ for 2 b/c it was the summer and I get distracted but could of made another B in the part 2. Don't need text but just study from lecture notes.

I took A&P online last semester and taking A&P 2 now with Doc. Its a hard but interesting course. Doc is very helpful. She will spend as much time with you as you need, you can ask her anything, she makes class interesting, and you want all your teachers to be like her.I highly recommend her, you wont be disappointed.

Doc is a really awesome professor, probably one of the best ive ever had. She is cut and dry but there is plenty of comedic relief too. The course material is tough, lots to learn but she is more than willing to help if you are willing to learn.

Doc is honestly the greatest teacher you could take for any Biology course. In Anatomy 270, she was amazing. I took A&P 1 with another professor and put in dozens of hours and came out with a D. I took it with Doc, who was down to earth and could teach well, and came out with an A. She is amazing. Take her if you can get a spot!!!

This class is hard and online is even harder! You must attend and study to succeed! Dr. Mastrangelo is one of the best professors that I have had so far. She will explain and help you with anything. Everyone loves Doc because she's a funny, down-to-earth person. They also love her because she dumbs down courses that should be rigorous, and makes them easy to pass. The fact is, if you 're planning to take graduate-level courses that build on what you learn from her, you're going to have to teach yourself much more than what she requires of you.

Best professor I have had for a biology course. Very helpful and understanding when you are a tad lost. She will do her best to clearly explain the topic in layman's terms and does her best to make everyone pass the course with a good grade.

Doc is an incredible person. She is so helpful when it comes to anything from coursework, to even talking to you and working with you if you're having problems at home. She is great at lecturing, and makes really boring material quite enjoyable. I've taken her for 270, 271, and Nutrition next semester. If her class isn't full, jump in quickly.

Doc is a GREAT teacher! Took class online, she posted videos of her past lectures and posted videos for reviews of the test. You do need to study because all lecture exams are in lab. But she tells you what you need to study and is very clear about it. Defiantly take A&P with her!!!

I really love this teacher. She put EVERYTHING online. If you do bad in this class it is out of pure laziness. She is amazing and helpful. She gave review sheets before every test, and the tests were hard, especially the lab quizzes, but she made it possible to get good grades for everything if you put in the effort.

Took this class for the respiratory therapy program and it was the best class i've ever taken! Doc is HYSTERICAL and really cares about her students. She works really hard to make sure her students understand the material. The class is hard though and you need to study and do the work if you want an A. This is my second time taking A&P with Doc M as I am making a career change. Doc Mastrangelo is by far one of the best (if not, the best) college professors I have ever had. I Just wrapped up with Doc after 9 months. A&P 1 and 2. Tough classes, lots of material after all we are learning about the human body. However, she is very clear and concise, and makes learning easy. Be respectful, do you homework, study and you will pass!

Dr. Mastrangelo really is more of a friend than a professor. She is so down to earth and makes a tough class easy to approach. She lays out only the stuff you need for a test, is clear and concise about what is needed for the class, and she is absolutely hilarious! Love her!

Im so happy I landed with her as my A&P prof. She gives a lot of hw online and quizzes but all of these help so much with learning the material. During lectures she makes even the most difficult material short and easy to remember. She always makes sure everyone is caught up and understands. Shes hilarious and makes everyone comfortable in class!

Taking her BIO 125 class was the best choice I made all semester. The whole class was online and very straight forward. She has prerecorded lectures that are FAR from boring along with test review sheets for each exam. I have trouble studying, so the sheets were a lifesaver! She replies swiftly, and you can really tell she loves what she does!

Doc is by far the best BIO professor there is. She is HILARIOUS and not your typical professor. She makes adult jokes and its honestly great. She comes up with ways for you to remember really important topics. She replies to emails rather quickly. Her study guides are a for sure way to pass the class with no problem. Doc was such a great teacher. I took her Anatomy and Physiology classes. 1 and 2. She has clear due dates and assignments and you always know what to expect. If you do the mastering homework and you use her lectures and study guides you WILL pass her course. Shes extremely helpful and easily accessible through email the entire semester.

Prof. M was my FAV Professor ever! I am so happy she taught my A+P. She is clear on what you need to learn to do well, gives you a lot of resources to study and do well, Review sheets, filmed lectures that you can reference later, and HW that actually helps you do well! She is super reasonable and makes the class fun! 110% would recommend!!

I did end up dropping A&P I for personal reasons, but guys if you want a professor who cares about her students and goes above and beyond look no further. Mastrangelo is hilarious, and beyond helpful when you need it because let's be real A&P is no joke, and she always is there for you if you need someone to talk to. Would give 6/5 if possible!

Dr. Mastrangelo is one of the best lectures I have had at HVCC, she made me feel like I was not alone, she's just so awesome. Doc is very knowledgeable when it comes to her course, ask when you not clear, go through her lectures and study guides. She always responded to my emails on time and took time to meet me on zoom, definitely taking her again

Dr. Mastrangelo is an amazing person and professor! She is so easy to approach and talk to and super nice. I took her Nutrition class summer of 2022 and it was pretty easy. I would recommend taking her class!!

Mastrangelo is the best teacher I have ever had! Doc records all her lectures so if you don't remember something or missed a class they are all available for you to watch. Doc is also very amazing at giving you study guides so you know what to expect on all your tests. If you have a question ask because she will respond almost immediately.

Dr. Mastrangelo is a dream for non-traditional students. She is compassionate and understanding on top of being an outstanding professor. She makes concepts understandable, offers plenty of extra credit opportunities, and tells you almost everything you need to know for each exam. If you study and do the homework, you'll do great.

The best professor. Her lectures are amazing, and are fun to listen and learn. Extremely helpful and respectful to non- traditional students. She is always there to guide in the most simple way for the students to understand.

Dr. Mastrangelo is an excellent professor. Has a unique way of teaching, that made learning fun. Very kind and considerate. Would highly recommend.

-DO NOT NEED TO READ TEXTBOOK -The lecture material and what is on the exams are diff, Quizlet and Chegg A LOT, only reason I did well -Extra Credit after tests -Only test and quizzes -Sweet and understanding -ONLY watch lecture animations not the lecture vids. and look over the PowerPoints -Quizzes are all short answer -Tests are multiple choice

Doc is a kind and caring professor. She truly wants her students to do well and is very accessible. A&P II really gets into the weeds but she makes it clear what you need to know and how to understand it. If you put in the effort and show up to class, you will do well.

Doc Mastrangelo is amazing, she lines out the review and a review video for every exam ensuring that students know what will be on the test. Her lectures are entertaining and she is genuinely a good teacher who knows how to connect her material to her students. She is the extremely kind and my personal favorite professor that I have had yet.

Professor Mastrangelo is one of the best professors I've had at Hudson Valley she is caring considerate and makes the class fun she gives a lot of opportunities to get higher grades through quizzes and homework assignments and her lab practicals are straight forward

Doc is a good teacher. It was an accelerated AP 1 course. I was burned out because it's a hard course in a short time, but, I survived bc of her. The test are hard and you have to work for good grades but the work is given to you and it is very clear. Her lectures are fun and digestible. If you do take accelerated or AP 1, take it with her!

Please, if you have the opportunity, take Doc's class. Without a doubt the best professor I have ever had the privilege of being taught by. Lectures are funny, engaging, while still being incredibly informative. So long as you put in the work, Doc will get you through it. Textbook isn't necessary since you get handouts. Just keep everything handy.

Doc is amazing!! Anatomy is a hard class with a lot to memorize. She sets you up for success and gives many analogy's to help with the material. She explains what will be on every test and lab quiz so you are never surprised. You will get a good grade in her class if you are willing to put in the work!!

Mastrangelo is an engaging professor who makes complex topics understandable. Attend class, use the textbook, and try Unstuck ai - it'll help you ace this course.

Dr. Mastrangelo is truly the best professor I've ever had. She is the kindest, most genuine person you'll meet and she 100% sets her students up for success. I had her for both A&P I and A&P II, and she made it so that I actually retained and understood the materials taught. I definitely recommend taking her courses.

Dr. Mastrangelo was one of the best professors I have ever had. She was always ready to help, answered email/questions very promptly, and you could tell that she wanted you to succeed. Her class definitely had a lot of memorizing and a fair amount of work, but if you put in the time and effort it was great! I would highly recommend!

Shes the sweetest professor ever, she does give a lot of mastering hw tho so beware but I 10/10 recommend
