Very entertaining teacher...allows you to have your own opinion. Very clear on what is covered on tests and when stuff is due.

I didn't want to take this class, but it was required. Pelligrini made it interesting and fun. I actually looked forward to going to class. I truly feel as if I am now a more informed citizen.

Excellent Teacher. American Government can be quite boring, but Mrs. Pellegrini has a way of making it interesting. I can't say enough good things. If this fits into your General Ed. requirement, I highly suggest it.

Loved the teacher, very open minded. Don't have to read book at all to get A in class if take good lecture notes, with bad lecture notes, easy to get least B if pay attention in class.

Prof. Pellegrini was great. She allows you to ask a lot of questions, which I think is very important to learning. I really came away with some knowledge and I'm very glad I had the opportunity to take her class. Good experience!

One of the best instructors I have ever had. She keeps her opinion mostly to herself which is very rare in a Poly Sci class. Her tests are very straighforward, not at all tricky. She covers ALL material on the test in class. Just pay attention.

Amazing teacher. keeps her opinions to her self which is great when your used to insanely left liberals always pushing their view on you. From what i can tell shes conservative. But she never pushes views on you or anything. Awesome teacher, covers EVERYTHING that is on test.

Love her, she is great. Totally funny, know where you stand, no bull kinda lady. When she lectures it's more like story telling so sometimes I forgot to take notes. You have to take Poli Sci 1, take her. I would take 2 if she taught it...

I love her. I was terrified taking Poli Sci, have no clue about it, and I thought this would be the hardest class ever. I was wrong. She explains everything very clearly. Test have a lot of questions on it and you need to study, but I got A's. After taking her, I actually enjoyed this class a lot.

Best teacher I have had in a long long time! She covers everything that is asked on the exams.(though read your book, it helps on the things you didn't catch in your notes) This is THE teacher to choose for polsc 1, you won't regret it.

Best teacher ever. Her test are not that hard. Yes she has a lot of questions but most of them are so easy. You have to take good notes, she covers everything that is going to be on exam. The rest can be found in book. Thought this class would be so much harder than it actually was and I really enjoyed the class and her.

I had her class in the spring 05, I thought the course was going to be very complex. She's funny, makes it worth showing up to class. Take good notes and you'll do fine. If it's not on the notes it's in the book. She's helpful to book out out.she has mass extra credit, unlike other teachers i have heard about.

She is a blast! very funny and entertaining! she teaches you alot. The subject is complex but she makes it so easy to understand. take notes and listen to what she has to tell you. When she is giving her lecture she will give you a heads up by telling you what will be on the tests!

She is good but not all that easy at all.Many tests and 100 questions on them.Have to read book very carefully.She asks questions from book, and if you do not read...They are not definitions questions but some little insignificant details such as which president had out of marriage child!? I got my A but I was studying hard.But overall-she is good.

Pellegrini is interesting and funny. She gives alot of tests but she provides most of the answers in her lecture. She always points out exactly what will be included in the test. She offers a good amount of extra credit and only two or three homework assignments.

This lady knows her****. She stays very well informed on a great array of topics and issues on state/local and federal level. If you are majoring in poly sci she has been everywhere and back. She presents all sides of everything without mocking anyone. Had her my very first semester and still talk to her years later. Highly recommend her to all.

SHE IS DOWN TO EARTH, FUNNY, BUT YES SHE WAS PRETTY HARD WITH ASSIGNMETS. BUT HER PERSONALITY BALANCED THE WORK OUT. I GUESS YOU NEED TO HAVE THE SAME SENSE OF HUMOR TO LAUGH WITH HER. Before political science was a joke for me to learn. But in her class I learned soooo much I am starting to feel like if I know something about this political stuff! Highly recomend to take her!

she's different.. kinda off but very funny and very smart. before taking this class i wasnt interested in anything that had to do with government, but i can actually say i really learned. shes funny so she makes boring things interesting. as long as u go to class and take notes there should be no reason u dont pass.

Best government teacher I've ever had. She explains everything very clearly. Just like any polsci class, you must read the book to get a good grade (highlight highlight highlight). I also encourage you to buy the cd's, they will give you an opportunity to get 15 bonus points (they helped me get an A in the class). also 15 bonus points for attendanc

She's a tough cookie alright, and one hell of a teacher! Didn't understand U.S. government till I had her as an instructor. Taught in such a way that it was hard to not fall in love with the subject...would have loved to have taken her for more classes but shes on a YEAR-LONG VACATION!

She's is crazy seriously but she is a good teacher. I fell asleep a few times while in her class but I learned when I am was awake lol. She is also really funny.

One of the best instructors I've ever had. Very dynamic, funny, knows her stuff. She makes the class interesting for those who aren't into political science. Tests are at least 90 questions, multiple choice, and curved. Just take notes, make sure to read the book, and you'll do fine.

Very good professor! Very funny and keeps the class interested. Can be a little intimidating about issues. Class is not easy, three papers and lots of tests. But grades on a curve. Take good notes and review the chapters before the test. Cell phone policy is VERY strict.

this class was so interesting that I was thinking about switching my major to politcal science! she was such a fun and helpful teacher. She curves the tests so it's pretty easy to get a good grade in the class. I definitely recommend taking her!

Great teacher, she keeps you motivated to succeed. As others have said she zooms through the lectures, but its manageable. I'm a lefty and could keep up but deff could feel the burn at times. I'd recommend her to anyone, especially if your a POLSC major.

Great teacher! Very informative. A bit speedy but it's not a big deal unlike most people, I CAN keep up with the writing. You can do well in her class if you STUDY. She's very approachable and is hilariously sarcastic at times. Take her!

AWESOME professor. The kind you want to go have a beer with after class. The tests are not easy and you won't pass if you don't read the book, but she definitely makes class interesting. I will miss listening to her lecture.

She is a very intelligent and helpful professor. She goes over all the test materal and often tells you when something is on the test. You do have to take a chapter test for every chapter online and thats a lot of work and the in class test are very long. But as long as you study you should be fine. She is very interesting.

Took this class not really interested. She is great at her lectures and explains concepts clearly. Amazing at breaking down information so that it is easy to comprehend. I had to work hard to get a B and finished with a better appreciation for politics. This is sad to admit but I'm amazed at how much I learned and how I can apply it to current events and understand what is actually taking place whereas before I would be clueless. Study and it'll be worth it!

This was my favorite class to go to and the hardest! A lot of online homework but it is VERY helpful for your exams. Two essays one of them a research paper which is worth a big chunk of your grade and she provides extra credit to tutor you on how to do the research paper. If you actually want to learn take her. Great Professor!!

She is really great! Super strict on the no ell phone policy, and stickler for punctuation. if you arent there within 3 minutes of class starting she locks the door. if your phone goes off you have to leave class for the day, and if you use your phone or it goes off a second time you get sent straight to the deans office class is very interesting

MORE PROFESSORS NEED TO BE LIKE HER! she sets rules, stays consistent! This class style is the closest to a University level so if you plan to transfer take a class with her. If you are used to being babied and having your hand held through every step in life, this class ISNT for you. Your EFFORT REFLECTS YOUR GRADE . period :)

Funny and energetic even though the content can be boring at times. She grades fair (tests and online assignments are curved based on all her classes). The research paper she assigns has clear guidelines, as long as you follow them you'll do fine. GO TO THE RESEARCH PAPER SEMINARS SHE OFFERS!! And she's always willing to help outside of class.

All homework is online so if you dont have internet dont both taking this class since its basically required. Homework is alot but she lets you know when its due, usually over a 3 week period. Grades on a curve & lets you know everything you can expect in the class on syllabus. Homework, Attendance and the Final paper are each a 3rd of your grade.

Professor Pellegrini is great! She inspired me to become a political science major. She doesn't just put a PowerPoint up and have you copy off of it. She lectures while you take notes, and you can tell she's really passionate. Her tests are hard but they're always curved, and there's lots of homework, but it's very useful for the tests. Great prof!

Dr. Pelligrini is very fair and as long as you follow her syllabus, you will be ok. There is a lot of reading and multiple test if you decide to take the extra credit but it so worth it. You get much more reading materials and more questions that sometimes pop up on the major exam!

Dr. Pelligrini is a very fair professor! Before taking this class I was dreading having to take PoliSci. As long as you follow the syllabus and DO THE WORK you will pass!! She has encouraged me to continue to learn about Government! Take this class, she's awesome!

The online class was really hard. Too much homework, not enough time. It was alot of assignments. Even for an online class, which I have taken a few others before. This was too much. Don't take online. But I learned a lot from her.

Dr. Pellegrini's class is hard, so you must put 100% of your effort. Her lectures are very interesting and contain info of whats going to be on the exam. 4 tests, small online quizzes, and a paper. She does lock the door, but we are grown adults so there's no excuse for coming late. As a POSC major, I learned alot and expanded my POSC interest

100% online class. She responds super quick and even on weekends. Lots of extra credit opportunities. Research paper was worth 25% of overall grade so don't wait until the last minute. Lots of discussion boards that were mandatory. Great teacher!

Dr. Pellegrini is a wonderful teacher and I enjoyed taking her class along with every single interaction with her. She responds quickly to emails EVEN AT THE LAST MINUTEI should know lol. Reading is tough but the homework is very light and discussion questions can be navigated through quite easily! 10/10! Hands down the best teacher Ive had!!

Dr Pellegrini is extremely kind and its obvious she knows what she's teaching. She responds to emails quickly and is always super helpful when she does. She grades pretty tough but as long as you understand the material and keep your book on hand it shouldn't be too hard, and this is coming from someone who had no prior knowledge of politics.

Dr. Pellegrini provides everything necessary in order to help her students succeed. Her class was an incredible opportunity to evaluate and understand the governmental system. She's not afraid to answer questions. She encourages her students to reflect on their personal understanding of the governmental system. 10/10!

Laura's class is challenging for sure and has lots of work paired with the textbook that you are required to read. However, she is a good professor that provides amazing feedback. Read assignment instructions as she is VERY particular in what she wants. You can easily lose points on assignments that don't provide the answers she's looking for.
