Very easy. Explains everything thoroughly. I'd recommend her.

The notes are pretty easy to understand, but the content of the class is difficult. There are four tests but your grade is made up of all four or just from the final depending what is higher. You have to make sure you study and do homework to really understand what she expects on the test. It is not an easy class.

This Professor is probably one of the best Statistics Professors you can take. It is a difficult class, and she does not curve, but she is very understanding and willing to help. Test are not too difficult or long. Do not miss class though, each one is essential.

The teacher was great.Thats not to say that the class was not SUPER hard because it was but thats just the nature of the course.This is one class you HAVE to do homework every night so you dont fall behind.The good thing about this teacher is that she will compare ur average score in the class (4 test) to ur final.U pass the final you pass the clas

This teacher is so helpful, if you are having trouble do yourself a favor and go to her office. This class is super hard, but she helps you one on one during her office hours. I was failing but ended up with a B- as the final grade. The test are about 6 question but you have to know what you are doing.

She is the best math teacher I have had. This class is extremley difficult prepare for 3 hours of study for every hour of class time. She is clear and will answer questions and is very available

she is a great teacher. If u do not do your work it will show in her class, but she gives no homework. 3 tests and if you pass the cumulative final you pass the class. she is very thoughtful, and very nice. if u hate math and suck at it, she is the right teacher for you

Super sweet professor, very understanding. However the material is very difficult, and although homework and attendance are not required, I definitely recommend it. If you like to slack, this class is not for you.

She is amazing at teaching Statistics, but just like any math class you have to do the HOMEWORK and READ THE MATH BOOK (yes, Read the book) to pass this class. 3 Exams and a Cummulative Final, based on 500 points. The second exam killed everyone in class, but other than that I did well. Ended up with a "C+" in class. Starts class PROMPTLY.

The class is HARD! you have to study! but the teacher is the BEST! one of the few who actually know how to teach. she's one of the best teacher's I've had. AND she absolutely masters the subject, she will answer every question and help you after class with anything

She is the greatest math professor I've had. Truely cares that her students understand the material. She encourages questions. The material can be complex towards the middle of the semester but going to class is VERY helpful. Doing the HW helps too. Grades are based on the 3 exams and final. Statistics is very applicable, the first math I like!

She is really nice and the best math teacher at FIU, She has extra credit on all of her exams and they are exactly like the homework, she doesn't try to trick you (the people that say she does don't thoroughly understand the material). She tells you all the possible mistakes people make, and if you make them its because you didn't listen to her.

I hate Math, but this is by far the best prof. I've ever had. she's EXTREMELY helpful outside of class. very clear as to what is going to be on her exams. If you do all of her HW, attend class you will be fine! I passed with a B :)

She is the best math teacher I have ever had! Extremely helpful, easy to understand, and her reviews and homework are exactly what you see on the test. Nothing to guess about here. It doesn't matter if you ask the same stupid question 50 times, she is always happy to help. Wish she would teach all of my math classes!

Wonderful teacher! She's very smart and knows how to teach math- FINALLY! She is always willing to help and encouraging students to go to her office for extra help. I have gone to her office and is very helpful. Her tests are fair- she gives reviews and a lot of homework to help with practice. Do the homework!

The most amazing teacher ever! She is extremely nice, and very clear about the material, encourages questions. She is also very clear about what is going to be on the exam, and what mistakes people normally make. She also gives extra credit. You still have to study a lot because the subject is not easy. Average on her tests was normally in the 60'

SHE IS WONDERFUL!!! her exams are not that hard pay lots of attention go to class everyday she teaches the material perfectly her reviews before the exam are not so helpful but just study you notes and you will do great she does curve a little and gives out about 10 extra credit points per exam and you will get at least 5 if you go to class everyda

Really nice professor. Hints: go "every day" to class, it is not mandatory, but VERY advisable; take plenty of notes and READ them and txtbook; do the homework and ask the professor questions. She really knows her stuff, is incredibly clear when explaining and, if you take a summer class, she is " fast". Pay attention to what she says on everything

Amazing professor! Never had a professor that explained the material as well as she did. Teaches step-by-step and slows down if the class is not understanding. Explains what is going on the test. If you want to learn Statistics, take her. Class is not hard as long as you pay attention and are relatively good at math.

I've had 2 stats teachers and she is by far the better one. Definitely recommend. She's very helpful in and out of class. Very knowledgeable of the subject and teaches it right. She's also very pleasant and sweetttt. =]]

After reading these reviews, I pounced on this course.However it was not as "easy" as other students have said.Don't expect much in the way of extra credit or leniency on points.It is ADVISABLE you do assigned homework,and show up to class,to pass this course.The teacher is kind, but the course is very difficult!Old Book=Failure use the current one

Disregard the comment below mine. She is a WONDERFUL teacher. She is crystal clear about the subject and she actually teaches! Veryyy pleasent. She is always smiling, go to her class in person. You'll know. If you do all the homework, you'll get an A in the class. I did. Trust me .. I SUCK at math.I would take her again for any math class ! Love !!

Crystal clear prof. I am super BAD at math and I manage to pass w/ a B. Go to class EVERY day and DO ALL the assigned H/M. She grades fairly.3 tests & a final (commulative) 10 pts extra credit. If you do the H/M and attend all lectures you'll be fine.Test are part multiple choice,fill in the blank, and short answers. Gives partial credit on exams.

The subject itself was not easy at all. The professor on the other hand gets the information across to you very well. She is VERY helpful and easy to talk to. She ALWAYS returend my emails and phone calls and would even stay after class to help explian the material if I was unclear on something (which I always was).

GREAT TEACHER!!!!!!!!! She does whatever she can to help.The subject itself is not easy but if you go to class and do all the HW you are guaranteed a pass. Never had a better math teacher

Prof Reisert is the best teacher I've EVER HAD! She's brilliant, knows the material inside-out, is Extremely helpful, stays back after class to help students. You should attend her class as you simply can't figure out the material on your own. She gives excellent Reviews similar to the Exams and Exams are straightforward. Take her class if you can!

She really has the best interest in mind for her students. She explains all the course objectives over and over again. She is clear, and concise! One of the best Stats professors here! 3 exams and a final, with reviews and a formula sheet for each!

I loved this professor. Although the class material is not very easy, she's super helpful and her notes are great. I got an A in the course all thanks to her clear way of teaching and notes. Doing the homework helps a lot if you are not too good at Math. Attendance is not mandatory but necessary if you want an A in the course. Highly recommend her

Do all the homework, see a tutor and the class notes will all make sense. pay attention to her notes on review day, they are big on the vocabulary part of the tests. She is very patient and really wants everyone to understand. If you are committed to this course you will make a passing grade for sure.

Be ready to work!! Her exams are written and you have to know the material very well. She is a great professor, explains everything clearly but just like she does her job she expects you to do yours. Do ALL the homework and attend EVERY single class and you'll be fine.

Prof is very nice and willing to help you if you give effort. She could be confusing when giving answers but her notes are awesome. I am horrible at math but she made it easy enough to pass which is all I wanted. I got my C but thats cause I busted my hump. Took it Summer A and I recommend you go to every class. It helps more than the book.

She is definitely the best math professor I've had. she speaks perfect English and explains everything you need to know. She always helps you and reads your emails. Her tests are fair and most had 10 extra credit points. I'm not very good at math but managed to get an A. You won't find a better professor at FIU. she's the best

I am an A student in every other subject but math and I have had problems with math since the ninth grade she is the only professor that has been able to help me understand and get math I'm taking Summer A with her so its fast paced I like it that way

Very helpful professor, prior to taking this class I had barely passed math in high school and had avoided it through most of college but I couldn't any longer, Professor Reisert, was extremely helpful and took the time to stay extra to help her students, go to class do the home work come for the reviews & study & you will get an A in this class

This professor is very helpful, clear and willing to repeat EVERYTHING and ANYTHING you dont understand. She gives some opportunity for Extra credit, so make sure you attend class because you never know.Definitely use the book!

I failed this class with another professor. If you listen and write what she writes on the board and do the short reviews for the exams, you'll do fine. That's what I did & got an A, I didn't read book or study that much. The questions on the super short reviews are very similar to the ones on her tests and also problems in class are also on tests.

I took stats one before and completely failed it but I am extremely happy I took her. She takes her time when explaining the material, has no problem answering questions and doing examples over again and is very helpful in her office hours. Great lady and even though it feels like she's babying you it is VERY HELPFUL.

She is a very helpful teacher, I was scared to take this class in 6 weeks but she is a great teacher, just go to her office hours she will explain everything that you dont understand, even though hw isnt for a grade, DO IT it will help you for the test ! only 2 tests, not that hard if you do the hw and the review! she was a great teacher

This professor is extremely helpful and kind but you have to work for your grade. don't expect not coming to class or not paying attention and passing because it won't happen. her notes can be disorganized but she explains everything and is very willing to help out. i definitely recommend her. if you try then you will pass.

Three exams and One final. Drops the lowest exam grade and replaces it with your final exam grade, if it's higher than any of your exam grades. Random quizzes. Lectures off the board and hands out a short review for each of the three exams.

She's actually the best stats teacher I have ever encountered. The beginning of the semester with her is pretty rough because you have to get used to her strict teaching style, but she's amazing. If you need help, she'll give it to you. She's a hard grader, that's for sure. You miss one detail and you lose a large amount of points on her exams.

one of the best stats professor I've had, I ACTUALLY understand stats now. Even though I was one point away from an A- lol I loved her class. Go to class ! do her reviews and practice ! & you will pass. 3 exams , cumulative final that was not difficult at all ! Laura is one of the most phenomenal math/stats professors at FIU. She is very knowledgable and passionate about helping students understand stats. You absolutely MUST COME TO CLASS and NOT TAKING NOTES ISN'T AN OPTION. Quizzes are open notes and collaborative. Tests allow one front-sided cheat-sheet. Hw isn't mandatory. No accent. Take her.

Professor Reisert is the best! I was scared to take this class b/c I'm just not good at Math but I had no other choice. She really wants to see her students succeed. She is available for questions and gives extra credit which was a huge help. If you are intimidated by this subject then take her. You will have to put in the work but it's worth it.

I took her for Summer A, your grade is based on 3 tests and mastering stats (2 tests both worth 20%, a cumulative final (70% new material, 30% old) worth 40%, and mastering worth 20%). She gives extra credit on some tests, for attending, and for SPOTS survey. Easy A for the most part as long as you study and put in the effort. Highly recommend!!!

Most understanding and accessible teacher Ive ever had. She responds to your emails within one day, and makes sure to answer any questions with patience. IF she sees you putting in work, she will definitely keep you in mind when it comes to grading. I took an integrative class with her, so she was a little fast with material.

She is amazing! Statistics is not easy but she is clear and concise ! I got an A on this class! She is super accessible outside of class, and really helps you if you struggle! Also if she sees your putting effort and hard work, it affects when she decides final grades! Highly recommended

take her, but be prepared to work. complete the preclass sheet so that during class you can understand what is going on. she is very helpful in class and her office hours are amazing! she can sometimes come off as a little rude, but she is really sweet! tests are based off of reviews and worksheet. will replace a test grade with final grade

she is amazing!!! you will have to work, study, and prepare before and after class, but seriously it is not that bad. An A is very possible, as long as you work for it. She is accessible and understanding, just talk to her when you need help. Cheat sheet allowed on exams, which are based on worksheets/reviews. work hard and you will love the class

Be prepared before you go to class. Do the optional chapter worksheets and you'll understand the material. Test are based off the worksheets, supplementary exercise and her reviews. Her lectures were once a week but she explained everything you had to know in that hour and a half. Great Professor!

BEST professor ever. Her class is hard, but she explains it so well she makes it easy. As long as you complete the weekly assignments and practice, you will pass. She lets you have a cheat sheet for every exam (there's 3). She gives extra credit opportunities. She gives a lot of resources like practice sheets for quizzes and exams.

I took this class online for summer A, she's great, she replaces your lowest test grade with the final and gives you up to 15 points extra credit with the spot surveys. I will say however, her quizzes are pretty hard, but the tests are pretty much exactly whats on the homeworks! DO THE GUIDED NOTEBOOKS! They help a lot.

Took this class remote due to Covid, it was very manageable, pre-class assignments due right before class, HW is due on sundays. Quizzes for all chapters, half due at the midpoint of the couse and then the other half at the end of the couse. Relatively easy class, the teacher is great, great at explaining and veryyy patient. Highly Recommend!

Professor Reisert: a gem! She was very easy to reach and was always willing to help. There is a lot of homework, you have interactive assignments due before class and homework due after class, 3 exams and 10 quizzes (1 for every chapter). DO the guided notebooks and worksheets, the make the content easier to understand!

Prof. Reisert is the best. I am so bad at math and I actually learned a lot with her. There is a lot of work, but if you stay on track and not fall behind, you will pass. Manage your time wisely. You have plenty of opportunities to pass her class and she is truly helpful. I would take her again in the blink of an eye

Professor Reisert is very caring and knowledgeable. If you can take her in person. My course was a hybrid, and some concepts were difficult to understand. The class is very doable, but there are tons of assignments on mylab. You will learn and pass the class. Extra credit for SPOTS survey.

Professor Reisert is one of the most caring and kindest professor I have ever met. When I needed help, she was always there for me unlike many other selfish professors who only care about their payouts. She is actually there to teach you and make you a better person.

This is the absolute best stats professor. Quizzes are taken as group. Notes are allowed for exams. Several opportunities for extra credit. She goes above and beyond to make sure you understand the material. It's a very easy A.

Hybrid class; Pay attention to the MyMathLab videos and the assignments. Going to class didn't help me and I solely depended on the online resources. The reviews she posts on canvas and the MyMathLab assignments are like the exams, so if you study off of those you should be fine. There is a little bit of busy work but not a stressful amount.

The class is homework heavy and there are worksheets that are optional but will help tremendously in the exams if you do them. Overall, the class is doable if you do all your homework, and she provides so many opportunities of extra credit throughout the semester. The Professor is accessible out of class, and I recommend taking her!!

Class itself is not too bad. But lots of assignments and videos to watch. Professor does help if you need it. But using honorlock to proctor the exams sucks!

*HYBRID* Great teacher, in the sense that she engages with the class, always solving the homework on the board, asking students to follow along and answer, and she'd fit it all into the time we had. Studying wasn't as hard as it seemed, as participation definitely helped for remembrance, so as long as you'd engage, you'd pass easily. 10/10

A solid amount of homework. Exams are not too bad as long as you study. She gives in class quizzes that you can do with a group. The lectures are kind of boring she just goes over the quizzes and other worksheets that you can do to practice. She very nice and is always available. She will gladly answer any question you have.
