This teacher rocks b/c u NEVER do work in her class! You'll only have like 2 assignments for the whole class and she aslways brings in food! It's like Kindergarden all over again, but better!

STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM HER. She tends to throw pencils and pick on the male students. Gives students horrible nicknames (aka: Mike "the opressor"). Her tests are extremely hard. Has something against movies with Jim Carey and Brad Pitt in them.

she's so awesome, it's like being in an elemetary class where they actually take the time to challenge your thinking skills and have you speak on whatever may be on your mind. i don't think i've enjoyed any other class as much as i loved this one, she rocks my socks off!

Hahaha my buddy and I made an aluminum tong in one of her in class project it was great!!! She's very cool, you don't have to show up to class if you don't want to, (just be there for the review day). She doesn't have finials only "2 test" and she give you the questions and it's so easy..Take Her.

Ya she is easy, but at least she's not boring. My favorite part about her classes are the open discussions, which are about everyday lol, but their cool cuz you get to express yourself. As long as your not a english or humanities major, take her, she will keep you awake and not to hard to get an A.

A very fun teacher. She makes learning the subject easy and fun! Just one paper to write and a lot of in class discussions and group activities. Her exams are very fair. Just show up for class and do what she asks of you...and you will get an A!

Oh man this teacher is absolutely the best. I had her for Hum20th century and i had so much fun! I learned so much and i'm actually taking her again this semester for Enlightment and Romantism. She's so much fun! Hand on lessons, tests are fair and she's fair! Great teacher! Recommend to anyone who wants to add a spin to college classes!

she's fair, funny, and makes everything from the past make contemporary sense. due dates and stuff get a little confusing but you can work through that. she can also get a little distracted during her discussions but it's always entertaining.

This teacher is awesome. I thought I would be dozing off in this class but she is definatley one to keep you awake. There is a midterm, a paper, and final. Not really any homework. You do have to come to class each time though, you will miss alot of info. She is very funny, you'll do anything from building with legos to finger painting. Great class

Very entertaining! She has a bubbly personality and is very friendly. Knows what she is talking about. Easy class and VERY easy midterm. Gives out the questions for the test the day before to study. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I am presently taking this class online. She is a wonderful teacher that makes her class interesting. She is very helpful and prompt with her responses to emails. If you are looking for a HUM class that makes learning fun as well as eash then this is the class to take!

I took this course as a Hybrid class and I loved it. Test were easy. Professor was nice,caring,and very cool. A little talkative but over all a great Professor.I got an A and I did not feel pressured with work assingments. I'm taking her again this Fall.

I took this class online and unlike most humanities classes, this one was actually interesting. The myths we read were very fun! There are discussions, a short paper on a film provided by her, a short answer mid-term, a term paper, and a fun final. I would definitely recommend Professor Stevens! She's great!

I took this class online. It was very easy. Test and final is just an essay!! Easy A if you follow the syllabus.

This was an online class and it was a breeze; sometimes I forgot I even had it as a class because of how easy-going it is. You are required a couple of discussions, a midterm, final and a research paper and that's all (all which don't take much time). Professor Stevens is also very helpful and makes this class crystal clear! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I took this class online because I needed it to graduate. She is really clear and does not expect much, The only negative is she takes FOREVER to grade anything. It literally took over a month to grade my midterm paper. She also never gives you a discussion grade through the semester but factors one in to your final grade.

VERY easy A. The stories are interesting and there is a lot of writing. Takes EXTREMELY long to grade assignments but grades EXTREMELY easy. Did learn a lot though.

A very good professor. She does take a while to grade assignments at times but her syllabus states that there would be delays so people can't really complain. Very personable & patient, especially w/ some of the less than stellar students. A lot of writing in this class so be prepared. Overall, an excellent teacher.

I took this class online and I really enjoyed it. The professor was awesome. She's friendly, easygoing, helpful, answers emails promptly. Take her class you won't regret it. She really cares about her students and wants to see everyone pass her class. Just do all the work and you should pass with an A.

Online mythology. Easy enough, simple read and write structure. The text, though possibly not her fault, is terribly boring and poorly written. Overall the class is easy enough but no cause for excitement, I was quite interested prior but the class is dull.

Very easy Myth class! Discussions due every two weeks usually 10-12 questions must be completed about the chapter you read, and a blog. Also, you must respond to 2 classmates. No essays! The midterm was a pain, try not to procrastinate because it is a lot of work. The final is easy you can choose from various options. I got an A! Highly Recommended

LAURA STEVENS IS MOST DEF THE EASIEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER TAKEN AT VALENCIA. I TOOK HER ONLINE CLASS. THERE'S ONLY DISCUSSIONS AND TWO ESSAYS WHICH ARE THE MIDTERM AND THE FINAL. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN A AND AN EASYYY GPA BOOSTER, THIS IS THE ONE! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

This was a great class. I enjoyed the material. The assignments were straight forward and interesting. There was a midterm essay and final essay. These required more work, but was not anything overly difficult. I learned a lot from this course.

Easy course! Sometimes her blog questions can be a little confusing. Reading them over again can be helpful. Discussions are questions from the stories you read. Sometimes more than one story. Gives you two weeks to complete blog and questions. 2 Writing assignments & Final (Writing assignment). Overall, pretty easy course.

Even though there is no physical attendance required (since I took it as an online class), frequent assignments force you to be active. Nonetheless it's an easy going class and an easy A.

This class was a typical online class. Weekly discussions on myths in the book. Lots of papers (Gordon Rule Course). This class is easy if you read the myths and do the work. The teacher grades more on the way you write your papers, rather than the information you are writing about, but grades easy. I would take this class.

Took her class on World Mythology online. Read the assigned stories and do the discussion questions and responses. She grades pretty slow, but she is fair. The blogs and some of her questions sometimes need clarification. Midterm was 3 short essays and the final exam was in essay form. Overall she's pretty great.

Took her online. SHe's really passionate about mythology and she' sclear with what she wants. Weekly Dicussions about the Myth stories, iderm, written assignment, and final exam. Highly recommended

Grades slowly but pretty fair. 50% of the class is biweekly discussions and blogs, one written paper (10%), and midterm and final in essay form (20%ea). Questions aren't always clear, and she seems to have an obsession with Star Trek which always eliminated a question choice for me. Class not as interesting as I had hoped but an easy A.

Took her online 20th Cent Hum class. Has discussion and blogs due every two weeks, one written paper and an essay midterm and Final. A lot of writing but it is a Gordon Rule class. Not a lot of feedback, but not very hard either. Easy A if you keep up. Doesn't allow late submissions so you have to stay up with your assignments.

I loved this course. I think Mythology is something that everyone should consider taking. The books she uses are really really good (especially Donna Rosenberg's World Mythology). As long as you explain your opinion and back up any facts you'll get a good grade. Do your HW and you will get an A. Just do yourself a favor and take her!

Class was very interesting. Every assignment was a writing assignment, so be ready to write. Teacher grades pretty quickly. Essay questions can be a little tricky. Overall it was a good class. Definitely gives you a broader perspective of the world and life.

Dr. Stevens made the online course interesting with added videos. I had no interest and was unfamiliar with myths going into the class. The stories are interesting and essay questions thought-provoking. Dr. Stevens is very clear on her expectations. An "A" is easy to achieve if you read the material and submit the required assignments on time.

I really enjoyed this class. It is however a LOT of writing. You have to really think outside of the box and you are reading a lot of poems for some of the assignments so it's not exactly black and white as far as the answers are concerned. At times the amount of work seemed ridiculous. Teacher is slow to grade and gives minimal feedback.

Dr. Stevens is a fantastic communicator. I took her online and am going to take her again for mythology. Do the assignments, which are not difficult and you will pass. She likes to hear YOUR opinion, not just a repetition of the facts.

Dr, Stevens is awesome! Don't worry too much if you missed an assignment because you were busy. She'll usually allow you to make it up. I learned a lot in her class and highly recommend her!

(Mythology) It was pretty easy just A LOT of busy work. I guess thats how it is for all online classes though. She really only grades for completion, except essays. And there are three. She takes FOREVER to reply to emails. She is pretty laid back and will accept late work. Like i said easy, but you'll end up putting A TON of hours into this class.

Dr. Stevens is pretty cool and fun. With her, mythology was interesting and fun. Decent amount of writing for each module between chapter reviews and discussions but not bad. She has feedback on everything. Fair grader. Really into the material and helps you get into it as well.

No tests. You participate in discussions and answer questions about the reading. You MUST read the book. Sometimes the book isn't very clear either and may times you discuss the same topics. Professor is a fair grader, but not get involved in discussions. Do not email, only use blackboard or it'll take forever to get a response. Regardless easy A.

TAKE THIS CLASS! I got 100%% on every assignment. No tests! Not a tough grader on modules or discussions. The modules can sometimes be a little hard but not impossible and like I said before, 100% on all assignments. I got the book but you don't really need it she provides slides with plenty of info on the chapters. Responds back to emails quick.

It was a fun class. Lots of reading and writing though. The professor is very helpful, just email her (I took online class). I definitely recommend.

I took this 6-week class over summer and it was great. You definitely need the textbook for your assignments but they aren't too hard, just a bit of reading. This was my first time taking a 6-week class so I was stressed but this class was not overbearing. 10/10 recommend!!!!!

I have never really had a better professor throughout my Valencia years. Professor Stevens is clear about what she wants, as well as a very lenient grader. She won't punish you for your mistakes, and she gives great feedback for the assignments. I definitely suggest this professor.

She was awesome, gave me great feed back, and even asked for ideas of future content. I loved her. She made my first online experience the best.

I took the online course. TAKE THIS CLASS! No tests! Extremely generous grader. Assignments consisted of modules and discussions each week (not hard at all), and 3 written assignments. One of which counted as the final. I rarely used the book, and didn't do one assignment and one paper and still passed the class with a B.

Professor Laura is a caring person. I toke her for online. She was always able to answer my questions through email. The only difficult thing for me was not having the textbook in hand because the assignments came from the chapter. But lucky i had students who would send me pics of the pages. Other than that her class was really easy. I recommend

One of the best classes I've taken online so far. One discussion and one content review are due every week that you need the book for but they're not hard. No tests, your final is a paper that you write once you choose from the prompts available. She even let me make up a few assignments that I missed! I highly recommend this prof & class

So off the rip the book is completely useless don't buy it, you can find all the concepts on google. The assignments are doable, but they require of level of thinking I was not capable of (science major). The teacher overall is super chill, really helped me and she took some late work. If you get confused use Coursehero as a reference for posts.

Decent professor and simple course. About 2 assignments every few days, very easy. One midterm and a final with fun topics to choose from. Textbook is useless and you can find similar concepts online. Only criticism is that it took a while for assignments to be graded.

She doesn't respond quickly because she is stationed on an airforce base but will email back a day later 7 discussion posts, 7 content reviews, the midterm is research-based, the Final is easy and she grades fair and she is very understanding and helpful she was cool with 2-3 assignments a week (shorter class) I would take her class again!

Great teacher, very easy assignments and is very leniant with grades. Very helpful if any emergencies come up and you need extra time i highly recommend her.
