Professional but down to earth! A great intro to psychology. I was in a class of 90 with her, but she really made an effort to connect with us. She babied us a bit, since most people in the class are freshmen. "Don't forget, we have this due!"

Easy class. Professional, enthusiastic and interested in the topic. She was helpful. Tests and papers are easy as well. Babied the class a little as majority was freshman but that made for an easy A. Overall great teacher.

Professor Terry is a great teacher she engages students with videos and activities. She makes it a point to learn everyone's name, even in a class of 90+ students. She is completely approachable and very helpful. She is one of the best instructors I have had.

Professor Terry is downright amazing! Her class was so awesome, and I looked forward to coming everyday. The tests were difficult, what's new, but her lectures are awesome. The IAs watch for participation like CIA agents on patrol or something, and they'll catch you on a minimized Facebook window, but I loved this class and Dr. Terry so much!

Best teacher I have ever had. Get on her good side- it wont be hard. She is easy to like. She makes for a wonderful reference if you are close enough to her. Lectures are fun, you learn alot in a way that is engaging.

I have Dr. Terry for Psych 102, I have currently been in the class for 8 weeks. I can't get enough of this class, wish I had it everyday. Dr. Terry is absolutely amazing! She makes an effort to know each student's name and is incredibly friendly, both as a person and as a teacher. If you pay attention to the lectures, take notes, and do the study guides, you will get an A no problem.

Dr. Terry is phenomenal! I absolutely recommend her. She is very good at making concepts easy to understand and remember, she gives study guides that prepare you very well for quizzes, she is hilarious and makes class fun. She does a lot of group assignments that I actually enjoyed, and was always there to help me succeed. I loved her so much!

Professor Terry was the best professor I have ever had. She was super fun and exciting. She does not just sit there and lecture you, she is a hands-on teacher who does class activities to help you better understand the subject. She always posts her study guides and lectures online, so there is no reason to fail her class.

Professor Terry has been one of my favorite teachers I have had since coming to GCU. She gets so involved in everything she teaches and she adds humor to it. The class truly has fun the entire class period. Expect a lot of group projects, but do not worry they are all easy and a lot of fun.

She's one of the sweetest teachers I've had. She made sure i was succeeding in class and that my social life was doing well. She even told me i could come over for thanksgiving break since my parents couldn't afford to fly me home. she also wrote my thesis statement a couple times so yeah shes pretty rad

Doctor Terry is well loved by all the students that take her class. She is young, or at least acts like it, fun, and exciting. The only problem I had with her, however, is that sometimes it seems like she doesn't take the class seriously. We waste time making jokes and having fun when I just want to learn about psychology.

Terry was very helpful and provided good feedback. She provided study guides to help with quizzes. This class is blended, meaning you only have to go to class half of the days. Would recommend getting her for Tuesday Thursday schedule. Quizzes were easy, grading was easy, and made class fun. A lot of group projects and showed videos.

Amazing and interesting lectures. Be prepared for group work. Is very respected by students and is very funny actually. And show up to class on your expected day, for you will regret.

Dr. Terry is an awesome teacher; participation really matters but she keeps her lectures interesting and engaging. The IA I had for her class was a REALLY hard and nit-picky grader but she's always open to help you and read through your papers before you turn them in.

Dr. Terry was probably one of the best Professors I've had at GCU. I had her at 825am and it really was an engaging experience to have her lecture. She also let us print out/ use a note card on the tests/quizzes which was great since I would basically print out the whole study guide on both sides of it. Making those helped me memorize + understand.

This class was amazing! I had her for 950 am class and she always made the lectures fun and makes sure everyone understands the information. We engage with others in class for participation and the quizzes are based off a study guide she gives us, and its basically everything that is on the study guide. Highly recommend her, she's awesome!

Terry is my fave prof. of all GCU. She is so nice and compassionate towards all of her students. Even if psych isn't your major, you will learn a lot from and enjoy her class. Its not an easy A or a hard A kind of class. You have to put in some work but overall not hard to pass at all. I've never met a GCU student who didn't absolutely LOVE Terry .

Dr terry is a sweetheart. Gives you everything you need to know about passing the class. Attendance is only mandatory once out of the week, since the second day is a optional blended day to ask questions and work on projects since she loves group work( I never went on blended days). The reason Professor Terry was given a 1 on level of difficulty is because she made the material relatable and easy to understand. She is an amazing professor and her IA's for my specific course were even better! They all cared so much about our success and leaving the class after the final exam actually hurt a little bit.

I would recommend her one million times over, she is the reason I enjoyed every moment of this class. She is extremely caring and energetic, she wants her students to do well and gives them every tool and resource to do so! Her class was not easy, it was challenging but she makes it all worth it and you will enjoy her class if you get involved.

Prof Terry is the best teacher I've ever had at GCU. She's super caring and fun and her class was never boring. I had her Monday/Wednesday class and we didn't have to show up on Wednesday so we literally had class once a week. She cares a lot about your grade and is always willing to help. The class is not hard. Quizzes are super easy as long as you fill out the study guides. Papers are not hard, just beware of the TA grading your paper because it greatly impacts your grade. Terry is engaged with the class, always looking for ways to keep her students attentive. Her blended courses are 10/10, but are also the reason for so much hw.

Dr. Terry is a delightful ball of joy and intelligence. Her kids often came to class, which made us all smile and laugh. Dr. Terry is very caring and you are guaranteed to get 100% on every quiz she gives so long as you learn the study guides she gives you inside and out. The answers are literally on the study guide many times. They are your bible!

Attendance is important because there are a lot of little assignments in class that will help you better understand the material. She has a great personality and makes the class very interesting! Prof. Terry is a really good professor! She has a loud voice but she is very funny and will give activities to make the class fun. She has blended days so on those certain days, she doens't require attendance but she is still in the room to help assist students who need help on their assignments.

Professor Terry is the best professor I have ever had. Show up to class and DO THE STUDY GUIDES and its an easy A. Take her Tuesday/Thursday class because she makes most Thursdays optional as long as you do your work!!! The only people who did bad in her class are the ones who never try. Professor Terry is a great lecturer who makes class fun by using lots of videos and activities. The lectures were interesting and the material was very easy to understand. Professor Terry really cares about her students and offers help whenever it is needed. The quizzes were not difficult if you do the study guide she provides!

Terry gives quizzes instead of exams, there are about 1-2 papers in between quizzes - which isn't excessive since there are only 4 quizzes. Her lectures are great and use lots of examples to help remember the topics.

Dr. Terry is by far the best professor Ive had. She uses fun pictures and videos in class to make sure the lectures are easy to follow, and always adds humor to the class. As long as you show up to class and put effort into the projects and quizzes, you shouldnt have a problem getting the grade you want.

PLEASE TAKE HER CLASS. I took this class as an elective and I ended up loving it. Dr. Terry is so sweet and really wants all of her students to learn. The students that dont like her are the ones that are on their phones 24/7. She does provide extra easy assignments but thats only because she has blended days and lets you miss class.

Having Dr. Terry as my Capstone professor has been one of the greatest experiences I have had at GCU. She cares about her students, and the work she does. I see her not only as a professor but a great mentor. I know that after graduation I can reach out to her for anything.

Dr. Terry is truly passionate and knowledgable about Psychology. Intro to Psych classes can be super boring, but hers isn't because of the way she lectures. She's super outgoing and always has several activities to do throughout the lecture. All her quizzes are multiple choice and she offers extra credit on them too.

Dr. Terry is truly passionate about psychology, so lectures are always fun and engaging. As for things you actually want to know: she is an easy grader, quizzes are easy, and each one has an extra credit question. Downside is that she is strict about attendance, and there is a ton of group work, so beware if that's not your thing.

Professor Terry is very good at what she does. Teaches from lecture majority of the time. However, she sets it up so that you can complete almost all of the homework in class so minimal amount that has to be done outside of class. Very crafty, you have to make videos, brochures, etc. But overall, good professor for the class.

This is the first time I had her and I can say she's the best, a solid choice. If you are worried about grading just ask her, she gives clear instructions. Professor Terry is amazing, I loved her and she is so nice! She is a super easy grader, I followed the instructions on each assignment and got 95% to 100% on all of them! The quizzes are super easy if you fill out the study guides she gives you, they are basically the same topics that will be asked about on the quiz! 10/10 I would take her again!

Prof. Terry is an incredible teacher! She is very engaging in the classroom and makes sure that her students connect. Her use of the textbook alongside her lectures make the content and coursework easy to manage. She is funny and super kind as well. I would 100% recommend having her!!

She will teach to all teaching styles. Lectures are long but dynamic and interesting. She is funny and understands college students. There is no technology allowed in class but it's not that bad. You won't have a lot of homework because you do assignments in class. She is an easy grader and quizzes are easy of you do the study guide she gives you.

There was a lot of material to cover but she made it interesting and engaging. She teaches in ways that allow all students to learn the best. Most of the assignments are done in class and quizzes are fairly easy if you do the study guides and are even easier if you go to study sessions.

I had her for PSY-102 and I loved every minute of being in her class. She has such great energy during class and is very understanding of students. We hardly had much to do outside of class besides study for quizzes, but her study guides were very accurate for what would be on quizzes. I wish more professors were like her in many ways.

I took my capstone PSY 495 online, Dr. Terry is great but is not the best at directly answering questions. She kind of just restates what's in the assignment description/rubric instead of being specific so it doesn't really help. Other than that she's a good professor. She knows what she's talking about and actually cares about her students.

Terry is a great choice for PSY-102. Assignments are very straightforward and quizzes/ exams are easy if you complete the study guide ahead of time.

Professor Terry was an excellent teacher and I appreciated how organized she was. She sends out reminders for assignments which is super helpful and creates weekly checklists so you know exactly what is expected of you. I stayed engaged during lectures and the assignments were easy and most of the time really interesting. Take her class if you can!

She was my favorite professor this semester. Very understanding if you turned things in wrong or a little late, she was also fun and easy to learn from. She explains what she wants very clearly on the homework, and is available to ask any questions outside of class during office hours or on Loud Cloud. Would definitely recommend!!

Professor Terry and her IAs are very helpful, and responsive; if you need help, reach out to them cause they don't want anything more than to help you ace this class.  Assignments are relatively easy, and they grade easily as well. Our class was relatively big, but if you make a point to interact with her, she will remember you.

I am a very visual learner, and Prof. Terry not only gave engaging lectures, but also gave handouts of certain tests or theories we were learning which was amazing. She related to all of her students, and is very interactive in her lectures which made the class so much fun and easy to retain information. Don't skip, it worth it to attend class.

She does a no technology policy, but that is fine, you actually do not really need any of that because of how interesting her lectures are. Fun and engaging professor. The class was very fun and exciting, always looked forward to it. Tests were online and open note so no reason not to get a 100%. Easy to reach outside of class and all assignments were very clear and she was open to questions about it. If you show up to class you will succeed.

Professor Terry was so kind and goofy. The course itself was easy and she went to great lengths to ensure each lecture was entertaining and simple. The tests provided were exactly what she teaches in the lecture so just need to pay attention and you'll do great! Lots of mini craft projects!

She is really great but be aware she is super loud. Like a 9 AM with her is a bit much. Homework is consistent but always the same format that is easy to get used to. She is super well-rounded in the psychology field and there are no midterms or finals or tests which is so nice. A lot of group work but usually only graded for participation.

Laura Terry is very good at teaching. She is very intentional about making sure you get something out of her class. While it can be frustrating that all technology is prohibited, even laptops, her class is engaging. There are no quizzes or test in her class which make it very easy to do well and her lectures are very interesting.

I wished she taught more than Psych classes. She understands college kids need a break sometimes and doesn't give out much work. She is real with her class and makes everyone engaged. She is tough on absolutely no technology but she does get her lectures done very quickly. She may sound tough in the beginning but she's amazing.

Dr. Terry keeps lectures really entertaining. There is kind of a heavy work load, however she makes one of the class days a blended day. You only have to go into class once a week. And there are no tests or quizzes for this class. As long as you keep up with the assignments and go to class once a week this class should be an easy A.

Prof. Terry was excellent. her classes were fun and enjoyable to be in. she never kept us in the class for more than an hour and 15 minutes and made the content very understandable. most of the homework is done online and is pretty straightforward. some days were optional for blended assignments. She does take away points if you are on your phone

Professor Terry was such an amazing professor and I enjoyed being in her class. We were never in class for the full class time. She let us go early, and we had quite a few blended learning days on the second day of the week, where we could work from anywhere. Participation matters, but its not too much. Just show up and do the work and you're good.

Professor Terry is AWESOME! She is very interactive with her class and cares about her student's success in and out of the classroom. Get Professor Terry if you are taking any psych-related classes. Do NOT go on your phone during her lectures though. She WILL catch you and immediately take away 10 points of participation.

If you can, take Professor Terry because not only is she funny and makes lectures fun, she also loves her job and wants you to do well. Showing up to class does matter because if you don't, participation will kick your ass towards the end. But, overall, I definitely recommend this professor.

Laura Terry's class is exceptional and she really cares about each student. The lectures are very engaging and overall I am learning a lot. Make sure not to have any electronics out though, and do not sleep. one of my friends got 10 participation points taken off for using her Apple Watch and I got 10 for taking a nap (on accident lol)

Attendance is mandatory for participation, and then on the second day of class most of the time we have an assignment online that you can do in your dorm. Absolutely no phones or any type of technology out, she notices and docks you points. No quizzes or exams only reading quizzes you take until you get 100%. Overall super easy. Textbook is online

Dr. Terry was so helpful with giving feedback or meeting outside of class. She always had a good attitude and she enjoyed being with us.

She's super nice and understanding of students. She gives assignments at the beginning of the week (super manageable), lectures for the first day and then makes the second day optional for questions and workday. She also doesn't give tests, but interactive quizzes each week, not a problem. A good amount of papers and projects but not difficult.

My favorite professor so far! Professor Terry was an amazing professor, she teaches her lectures in a way that makes you want to learn more and is so helpful when it comes to assignments. Take her if you can!!

Professor Terry is very nice and engaging. If you are a person that likes to be on your phone she will call you out, not in a mean way but so that you are engaged and learning! Lots of online assignments but you have plenty of time to complete them. No tests or quizzes! Easy A!

Dr. Terry was an amazing professor. She knew what she was talking about, and you can tell she likes teaching. The assignments are fairly easy, just make sure to take advantage of the time she gives you in class to finish the work.

Dr. Terry knows her stuff. While she knows a lot about psychology, in a large lecture, she can come off as rude and pretentious. She HATES technology. So put your phone in your bag to avoid embarrassment. Her IA's do grade pretty harshly. Otherwise, it is pretty hard to not get an A. Follow instructions and ask questions when needed. You can pass.

She gave really good lectures, but a lot of homework. The homework was easy it was just a lot of work. On Thursdays class was a free period to get done anything that was homework that week. She never kept us past an hour and was always very understanding and sweet.

Professor Terry is an awesome professor and if you pay attention you will get an A. It is lecture heavy and she does pay attention to who comes to class.

Dr. Terry is a great teacher and is so funny which makes her lecture entertaining. She teaches the material in a relatable way to her students. This class has no tests or quizzes which is great so I never had to study. The papers were relatively easy, this class is doable. definitely would recommend taking her class, cares alot about her students

This class and professor were awesome! Dr. Terry is entertaining to listen to, the content is interesting, and this class couldn't be hard if you tried to make it hard. No exams, No notes, No tests. Lecture on Tuesday, assignment on Thursday. There is a quiz every week based on the text book, but you take the quiz own your own time, it's very easy.

she was honestly so great! some of her IA's were more harsh with grading than her but overall the material is easy and fun to work on. her class was fun but if you're very anti social this may not be the class for you because you will be talking to your peers a lot.

One of the best profs. This was the best class I've ever taken as it prepares you for life after college. You get so many good tips on how to succeed in the outside world. Almost every class there was a guest speaker so you could get jobs with their companies and explore future career options. She is funny and she wants you to succeed. Love her!

No tests or quizzes and prof was engaging and funny in class. Was worried about not understanding the material in a 200 plus lecture class but she made it easy to communicate with IAs and herself for help. Recommend her class

Dr. Terry is amazing! She cares deeply for her students and their success. Her lectures are long and usually take the whole class time, but they are always super interesting. There are a few group projects and showing up to class is super important! There aren't any exams in PSY101 so it's a very easy class. Do the homework and don't fall behind.

I took her class about 3 years ago and I think she is one of the best professors I have ever had. She made lectures fun and where you actually learned. It was a lot of participation activities which is different than a lot of other classes but I really enjoyed her and her humor.

Overall this class was pretty easy, there are quite a few time consuming papers to do every week but nothing too hard. It was a pretty easy class to get through, I highly recommend this professor for a General Psychology class.

she was a great professor. towards the end of the semester she allows blended learning, so you only have to come to class one day a week. she is very passionate about no technology and will take away participation if she catches you on it. her IA's are willing to help with assignments but they watch the class closely.

Prof Terry is very knowledgeable and good at teaching. Her IA drove me nuts all semester, but Laura herself is good. Attendance becomes optional on Thursdays part way through the semester, which was great. Strict no technology policy - no phones or computers. Lectures are very long but usually somewhat captivating. I would take her again for sure

Professor Terry runs an engaging class, though she has a strict no-tech policy. The lectures are captivating, and she makes the content accessible. Unstuck study was a great study tool alongside the readings. Would recommend this course.

She is an amazing professor; HOWEVER, she thinks that everyone is plagiarizing using AI, even when it hasn't been used. I know multiple people who have gotten serious amounts of points taken off because they just suspected that they were using AI when they were not. It is absolutely ridiculous and completely infuriating. I would not take her again.

Terry is a good professor! She doesn't like technology in her class, but she gives guided notes that can be used on quizzes. She really tries to engage with students in class, and gives a lot of partner assignments. There's lot of writing assignments but they are pretty easy if you follow the rubric. She seems mean but she's actually really cool.

She was my favorite professor of the semester! Prof. Terry teaches wonderfully and as long as you pay attention and write notes, you'll do perfectly fine on the tests. Tests are pretty easy and short, and they're only every other week. She makes her homework due on Friday and not Sunday, so you cant really procrastinate, but it's all easy stuff.

as long as you show up to take notes and you pay attention and do the assignments with care and participate you'll be all good. Dr. Terry was sooo fun with teaching and she made it so interesting amazing teacher overall

Professor Terry is a great teacher and understands the content she is teaching. Lecture days are so heavy and all you do is sit there and take notes. Her IA stalks around the class looking for kids on their phones and makes it feel like 6th grade. They are not understanding of other commitments you have and will not let you make up tests or points.

Terry was fun to have as a professor and was very knowledgeable about psychology. She has a no phone / screen rule which is hard and they will take your phone if they catch you with it. You're supposed to take notes on paper in class. Many of group assignments / projects so choose wisely. Overall, a fun class. IA Grey is sus.

Dr. Terry is an amazing teacher, lecture heavy and busy work but sooo do able. I loved this class, only concern was her IA Grey is a family friend of hers but is very disrupted during class and tries to over run the class. Grades unclearly and it not very helpful.

She was nice enough I would take her class again and the coursework was not insane. Only issue was she was strict about phones, and the IA Grey was rude and thought he was in charge. Attendance and participation was a big deal to her so as long as you show up you will pass.

This is a really good class to take. If you just pay attention in class you can easily do well on all assignments.Dr Terry makes class fun and really understands how college students should be taught. She's also hilarious:)

Bit of an attitude but overall cares about her students deeply and makes the class honestly fun. Very doable class and would reccomend her.

Just show up every week not that hard, u get to use note sheets on the quiz so don't miss them, fit as much info as you can on the paper you'll need it, overall great class

I enjoyed Professor Terry's class! She only gives lectures on the first day of class and then the second class day is dedicated to working on assignments. She is also very chill if you pay attention and don't have phones out in class. Quizzes are also open note and there is a lot of help when submitting assignments!

Professor terry is a good professor. Though strict and loud, you learn a ton. The work is easy but in class you will be called out for using your phone or laptop. Every class is a guided note sheet with a lecture but very informative, note sheets can be used on quizzes. The grader is easy and you'll get an A if you just show up and do the work.

She was amazing. Her grading is very easy but it also depends on which IA grades your work. One of the class periods each week is lecture and they are strict about phones but the other class period at the end of the week is used to work in your assignment so attendance is more lenient. Overall the class is super easy with only 4 quizzes.

Prof. Terry is super fun, and this was an awesome class. The first day is lecture-heavy, and the second day usually focuses on an assignment. She provides guided notes for quizzes, but you need to use the online textbook to keep up. Participation is very important. The class can be difficult if you don't pay attention or do the assignments.

Professor terry is the best capstone professor! She made the class fun and engaging, brought in guest speakers, and was overall just so encouraging!
