Terrific Teacher! Have four speeches (one group presentation), one four page paper, and one final (10 question essay exam). Take her! She loves teaching! She has a New York accent. Helps you a lot! You won't be disappointed if you take her!

Challenging class. She has very specific ideas about how speeches/outlines should be done. Classroom activities were really helpful. Overall, I felt like I learned a lot in this class.

She is a very good teacher who wants to help you become a better public speaking. She's an expert! She's VERY funny, helpful, clear, etc. She expects a lot but sympathizes with her students. Her main idea is that everyone's nervous and everyone ****s up.

She is a great pprofessor. sometimes she will get upset but thats if you dont do the outlines the way she wants it but other than that she is great. i recommend to take this course with her because you will learn a lot and one will be able to control their nerves when public speaking.

This was the best class I have ever had..before I took this course I almost cried everytime I had to speak in public but now it's a breeze. I got an A in her course and she gave me a recommendation and guess what I got the job!! She is the best teacher if you want to get the most out of this course!

Shes really cool and nice and funny and stuff so you think the class is easy but it really isnt. Its a fun class but if your looking for an easy A this isnt the class for you.

Really good prof. She's funny and helpful but its not an easy class. Do the outline exactly as she teaches it and listen to her advice after your speech and there's no problem at all. I never saw anyone cry, just do your work and youll be fine. She wants to help you get better.

I love this class. I was dreading taking it, but I look forward to it. She's so funny. Just be sure to prepare for the speeches her way and pay attention to the feedback she gives you.

Hard class, but she really makes it as fun as possible. If you follow her outline and her constructive criticism, you'll walk out of the class at the end of the semester and be able to give a speech anywhere anytime.

This professor is awesome. She is loud and boistrous, but she definitely makes speech FUN! She tells you exactly what you need to know to give a good speech, not stupid stuff that most people go through in their speech classes. Follow her outlines to a T, she's strict about that only. Otherwise, she's awesome and very very fun!

she's fun at first- but she ends up grading on how you do the outline. even if you give a great speech, if the outline isnt the way she wants it it doesn't matter. she makes you think you'll do good in the class and end up grading really tough. if you want a challenge, take her- if you're lazy, avoid her.

I dreaded public speaking and waited to the last semester before graduation to take it. i struck gold with Prof. LeFever!! She is outgoing and loud and makes you comfortable about speaking. Class isnt stuffy!! she's tough on outlines but listen to her and you'll do just fine. I recommend her for anyone fearing public speaking!!

To quickly sum up the other comments on here - yes, she does expect a lot from her students, and she sticks to an outline, but this is the best class I've ever had. She's fun, helps out all the time, and gets everyone involved. You actually learn something, and if you put effort into it, you'll definatly pass with a decent grade.

This class was very fun & funny. Prof. Lefever is so crazy & i mean that in a good way. Speeches arent that hard just choose topics that you find interesting and one last thing TALK TO THE AUDIENCE. (LOL)

This teacher was my favorite teacher of all, shes really funny at first but dont take her as a pushover,she can snap at any minute .... i never before made a speech and she helped me make good speaches. It's somewhat of a hard class but all you have to do is follow the outline IT's THE KEY TO PASSING

Professor LeFever is the BEST I have had thus far!! You need to get the textbook and she allows you to pick your topics for the Speech Presentations (3. They are not long and she prepares you ahead of time and reviews the outline etc...Must take this Class!! You will get a good grade if you listen and do the assignments!!

Shes a really good teacher. She has a strong passion for what she does, and always comes well prepared. Even though shes a adjunct, she still makes time for her students.Although she curses alot, shes still really funny and relatable to the class, so i do recommend her.

She's an amazing teacher and very interesting human being, She does not over load on assignments, but you have to put in effort for the ones assigned. One of the few classes I've actually learned something.

Excellent professor. I ended up taking her night class. There is indeed a method to her madness and that madness made staying on campus every week worth it. You pick your own speech topics. She prepares you for each speech and she's better than the text book. Hers was one of the classes where I actually learned something. I highly recommend her.

Very exciting teacher, she's very down to earth and has a great sense of humor, she helps out a lot in class and you actually learn despite it being a gen-ed class.

TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!! One of the nicest, funniest, interesting, sweetest and empathetic professors I've ever met. The speech assignments are easy and although she's strict on the outline, it really helps you out. Her classes are late but DEFINITELY worth it. You will LOVE HER!!!! It's not about how well you present, but how you grow as a speaker.

Best teacher I've ever had. Wants you to succeed more than anyone else. She makes you do it even if you don't want to, even if that means doing it next class, but it's all for the better. She is extremely funny and is one of a kind. Assignments are generally easy, but you have to do them. Don't take advantage of her.

I 100% recommend Professor Lefever for the cmst101 requirement. She is so funny and class is never boring! I've spoken to other people who have different teachers and they dread it.. We gave 2 legit speeches and had a couple exercises that we did in front of the class that counted toward our grade. She is a very sweet woman who cares about her students. Take her!!!!

This class was easy but it was basically a speech class. I had her at RVCC, there was very little homework but you do have to give a few speeches. There were 2 tests and they were 5 questions each very simple. She was great a ton of fun she will make you laugh. I really enjoyed going to this class even though it was at 8:30am

BEST. SPEECH. CLASS. EVER! Makes class so fun and makes everyone feel extremely comfortable in a speech class. Learn how to do an outline correctly the way she wants it and you'll be fine. I recommend that you send her multiple drafts of your outline to ensure its perfect since she grades the outline. Its a night class but shes the best. youll get

LeFever is one of the best speech professors at Montclair, she was inspirational and really wanted you to pass with an A. I choked on my first speech basically flunked it but I passed with an A- because of her tips and outline structure. She really pushes you to just try. She does not permit cellphones at all and likes to take up athey'll the time.

She teaches interpersonal communication and public speaking at Raritan valley community college. She is an amazing teacher

I took her class at Raritan Valley. She is extremely encouraging and provides beneficial feedback on presentations. The atmosphere of the class is very relaxed, but you're still gaining valuable skills in communication. She's very understanding and will go above and beyond to help the students that are genuinely interested in doing well.

Prof LeFever is my fav teacher at RVCC! Loved this class! She gave inspiring, engaging lectures, helpful feedback, enthusiastic & supportive to students. Be creative, come prepared, on-time, participate fully & you will do well. Don't miss class, each week is a class presentation. Learned a lot. Because of her, I am majoring in Communications.

Best speech class one could take. I wouldn't change my experience in a college speech class. Although a speech class is the most hated class to take in college you'll really enjoy it with Professor LaFever.

She's really funny actually, she connects with every student and she' helpful. When I first did my speech I was nervous but she helped me get passed my nerves. She loves to see her students improving only way to fail is if you don't try. She's a great speech professor, take her, I promise you'll grow so much in public speaking .

I push everyone I know to take her specifically. Can't speak highly enough about this woman. I would shake and never make eye contact and be absolutely nervous when giving speeches and she made all of that go away. Strict on using the outline but that is good since it helps loads with giving speeches. Amazing professor and would take her again.

So LeFever is a great professor. She really wants to teach you and you can easily see that. Prompt responder to emails. Tough grader, had to work hard for her class. You just really have to nail making outlines because your speech eventually starts improving with that. She may be a little blunt, but sometimes its actually funny! Good feedback!

Professor Lefever is one of my favorite professors I have had at MSU so far. She makes her lectures interesting and is funny. We got to pick our own topics for our speeches. The class was two and a half hours long but due to her enthusiastic personality and engaging lectures it wasn't bad at all. Highly recommend.

Prof Lefever was really good at getting people out of their comfort zones. Speech topics were super broad and you were able to give a speech about almost anything you choose. She was really funny and a great speaker. She's also easy to reach outside of class.

LeFever was the best. She was always there for all her students. When she goes over the speech outlines, make sure to take notes. She will always break things down for you. I 100% recommend her. She always lights up a room when she teaches.

LeFever is honestly one of the best professors you could have. I actually gained a usable skill from her class, and she didn't make it hard to learn. The speech topics are easy and made to be about things you enjoy. She's hilarious and very kind, and it's hard to get a failing grade if you just put in minimum effort. 10/10, I loved her class!
