Laurel is very punny (her own words), and she likes to talk a lot, but she conveys material pretty well. Not too many tests and she gives a lot of extra credit on tests. Overall it was a good class.
Laurel is extremely approachable, and willing to help her students. She's very funny, and keeps the lecture interesting. My fear of the subject quickly went away because of her enthusiasm and love for her students. She wants to be there, and she wants you to succeed. Outstanding professor.. Wish she taught MO5. Absolutely take her class.
May be my most favorite class taken. Learned a lot and was entertained the entire way. If you put in the effort you'll do well!
Laurel Drane is the most amazing teacher I ever had at Moorpark. She really does care about each and every one of her students. She wants you to succeed, she's not there just for a paycheck like some of my other professors. This class is not an easy A, you do have to put in the work. She made the 3 hour math class fun. Take her class,
Professor Drane is a totally dedicated and excited to teach mathematics, bless her. Her enthusiasm is infectious and she makes it easier to sit though the bane that is another math class. I highly recommend her.
Awesome professor. Would take more classes with her if scheduling allows it. Homework assigned is reasonable, and willing to help if you ask. Good sense of humor too. Highly recommended.
Best professor I have ever had. She listens to the students' needs and wants. She is very fair. She does give a lot of homework, but everything is related in the class and it helps you prepare for exams. She jokes a lot with students and is very pleasant to be around. She gives extra credit on all exams and will give points just for work shown.
Moved a bit slow for my pace but definitely gave new ways of thinking in math I think. I'm pretty good at math but even then it was a lot of homework. Not as bad in tests. Really good class. Even better if she likes your class
One of the better teachers I've had at MPC. Math is not my strength, but she explains everything, even answering the same question five times in a row. She goes out of her way to make sure everyone understands. She will help you and she will make everything clear. There is a lot of homework, but if you do it, you will pass. Would take again.
She has themed tests and let us use notes on the exams (only for summer school though). She also posts the answer keys to her questions online--which is something most math teachers won't do (these were the KEY to understanding the material/passing!!). Drane, Purdy, or Kendall are the only prof. I'd rec. for math @MP, but she's the better teacher.
Professor Drane is amazing. I found her positive attitude uplifting for a 3 hour summer class. Math is not my strongest subject and I had to take this class as a refresher. What a breath of fresh air she gave me! I loved coming to her with help because she makes you work it the problem and helps you identify what you did wrong. SHES AMAZING !!!!
SHES AMAZING! Ah i love laurel, i chose her for M03 Summer because of her great reviews and everyones right! Not only did i get an A in her class but I understood the material and enjoyed the 3 hour class! THANKS LAUREL YOURE AWESOME SAUCE PS READ THE DIRECTIONS BEFORE TESTS ;)
I took Professor Laurel during the summer for M03 and I'm currently in her M05 class and I ABSOLUTELY love her! She is such an amazing, caring and very fun teacher. Offers extra credit, she replies back to to emails fast, and she makes math easy! Exams are not that hard. Her sense of humor is a plus :D I HIGHLY recommend her! You won't regret it!!!
Professor Laurel is very funny, and makes the class extremely lighthearted and manageable. There's not much work needed to get an A in her class.
Nice teacher. She's funny and cares about her students. Only complaint is that the homework doesn't totally relate to the lecture and doesn't always fully explain how she's solved some equations. But ask her and she'll happily help you out. Gives plenty of extra credit as well. Mostly an easy class.
Laurel is awesome! She explains the information clearly and is super hilarious while doing it! Gives partial credit on exams and lots of extra credit. HW/quizzes are online and are very easy to keep up with. I do wish she would give more examples during lecture but overall she cares about her students & their success! Definitely reccommend :D
I took her summer 2016 Intro to Statistics class. Her class was very clear-cut and easy to understand. She divided the lessons up and simplified the notes very well. She let our class use a notecard on the tests since it was a summer class (6 weeks) and she felt that because we didn't have a lot of time to absorb the lessons, we could use an index card on every test. On the final, we got a full 8 x 11 sheet for notes. I got over 100% on all of her tests because they were minimum difficulty and she gave us 1-2 extra credit problems on each exam. She tries to give you as much credit as possible within reason (i.e. If you don't try to show work, you get nothing). I enjoyed her class and I would definitely take it again.
I took Laurel for MO5 in the fall. She is awesome! I think the lecture was kind of short but she tries to get in as much as she can. She explains things clearly and will re-explain for people who didn't get it. She responds to emails promptly and gives chances for extra credit. If it wasn't for Laurel, I probably wouldn't have had a chance to pass!
I consider it a God-given miracle that the first college math teacher I've ever had was Laurel Drane. As 16 year doing a special program in which take normal high school classes plus college classes, it was terrifying to think about taking college math. She makes math funny and digestible and can accommodate any amount fo background knowledge.
Wow... what an amazing teacher! So knowledgeable about the subject yet able to explain things in a way anyone could understand, 10/10 reccomend Laurel, super funny, soooo nice, and cares about teaching you, not hammering you with assignments
Prof. Drane was really good, she was so smart and really knew the subject, plus, she was unbelievable nice and super helpful. She made the class less traditional by giving us worksheets that we would do in groups so we could "teach ourselves", was a really great method and worked out great. Definitely take her.
I took Math M05 with Laurel last semester and am taking M15 currently. Laurel helps everyone understand the subject no matter how smart you are, and the grade she gives you doesn't matter on your ability to memorize formulas and use a single method, the grade relies on your creativity and ability to prove that your answer is correct. 5/5 teacher.
WOW! Amazing professor, Laurel is so kind and helpful, plus she's basically a math wizard. She makes funny nerdy references all the time and is super approachable. You should take her.
I took Math M15 with Laurel and she was amazing! I did horrible in Statistics in high school, but she explains it in a way that just makes so much sense. She gives many opportunities for extra credit and tries to help your grade as much as she can. You should definitely take her!
Laurel is absolutely amazing! Statistics is not the easiest math but she takes her time explaining it and teaches it in a way that everyone is able to understand it. The online homework sucks but the tests and groupwork are easy and do-able. I definitely recommend you take her. I would take her again without a question!
What can I say about Laurel... let's start with "She is the best math professor I have ever had". She is the kind of person you would want to be friends with outside of school. She is a geek (in the best of ways) and uses that to connect with her students and help us to understand concepts. Take her if you ever get the chance. She is wonderful!
Prof. Drane is really cool. She'll make sure that everyone understands how a process works before moving on. Her humor made the class enjoyable. Buy the book if you can because it's used for when you do group work.
Easily the best math professor I have ever had. She is enthusiastic, funny, uplifting, and offers everything necessary for a positive learning environment. She occasionally offers extra credit on her tests and quizzes too. Overall, excellent professor and I highly recommend her.
This is my 3rd math class with Prof. Laurel and I have to say she is the most sweetest, caring, and hilarious math professor I have ever had. She is by far my FAVORITE math professor at Moorpark. She is very understanding and her exams are pretty easy. Study the group work*** Highly recommend her, you will not regret it! Do HW and pay attention.
Professor Drane is really awesome. In a time of need when I really needed an A she def helped me out because I kinda struggled in the class. The first exam was good the second and third were hard and I kinda blew it but the fourth and the final exam, I was able to clutch it along with the extra credit opportunity. She is really willing to help!
Attendance is expected and affects your overall grade. No quizzes, just weekly group work, online homework is time consuming but helpful. Exams aren't too bad if you study and the better calculator definitly helps. Drane is funny and offers plenty of extra credit opportunities. She doesn't pass out A's freely but does help those that apply themself
Looked forward to this class. Math has always been really difficult for me, and Laurel is amazing! she cares, she FUNNY, and she's so willing to make sure you understand the material. Attendance and group work (instead of quizzes) and homework are huge! because the final is worth 30% of your grade. Id say overall my favorite professor I've have!
Professor Drane is the best math teacher i've ever had. She really cares about students and makes sure you understand the material. Her lectures are very helpful too. She's also very funny!! She makes math fun :) Taking her again for sure.
Laurel is THE BEST. Hands down the best math professor I have ever had. I highly recommend her. She not only makes lectures engaging but she also really cares about the success of her students. TAKE HER! you won't regret it. Oh, and she's funny.
Laurel was very nice and caring. She was always available to help during her office hours which truly helped me pass her class. But she did give a lot of homework which benefited us for the test but was very time consuming and sometimes stressful. She was always upbeat and made everyone laugh! I would take her again if I had too.
Laurel is super funny and sweet and cares for her students. She always helps students, offers extra credit and grades fairly.
Prof Drane is amazing. She's really funny and nice and her lectures are enjoyable. Took her summer precalc/trig class and it was hard but she gives extra credit opportunities and a lot of exams. Just make sure to do all the homework and study study study. Highly recommend her!! Hands down the best math professor I've ever had.
Awesome professor! She is really nice and sweet and funny! I miss her class! Her class is really easy and she gives a lot of extra credit on top of that. Would take again.
Makes calculus simple to understand
This professor is great! She is professional, organized, and wants you to do well. She gives very clear notes and will email you back when you have questions! She is funny and enjoyable. I was terrified of algebra and she made me understand it! She uses an online homework program which is amazing! I am taking her again for Stats.
You must take her, you wont regret it! Shes awesome and really cares about her students!
Great statistics professor I took her stats class and she was a lot easier to understand compared to previous professors who taught stats
best math teacher i have ever had in my entire life. not an easy A, but if you try you can. she never makes anyone feel dumb for asking questions, and will explain a topic until you understand it. funny and friendly and overall an amazing professor.
Laurel is AMAZING. I was so terrified of taking stats because Im so terrible at math but the way she teaches helped me ace her class! She is so sweet and caring and really tries to help you as much as possible. If youre horrible at math, take her! You wont regret it. I cant say enough great things about her. Shes wonderful!
She made calculus very easy to understand and was very generous when she graded the test. She didn't use Cengage and the homework wasn't graded. She also broke down every problem and went at a speed that everyone could follow.
She is a great teacher with heavy lectures. Show up and youll pass. You cant bs your way through the class. I reccommend taking her class if you want to understand math.
She is one of the BEST professors I've taken at Moorpark College. I am not really good at Math but she made stats easy to understand. She is a fair and generous grader. There is a lot of homework but it really helps. The group work is like a study guide for tests-- the besttt thing ever! Oh and she's hilarious. She will go out of her way to help.
Laurel Drane is simply the best. She is by far the best math teacher I have ever had. She structures the class so that If you attend class and do the work you will pass with a good grade. The class is not easy, and her quizzes and exams are challenging, but she grades fairly and is always happy to help. You will not regret taking a class from her!
Laurel is one of the BEST math professors out there. You do have a quiz every week except on exam days but they help. Go to her office hours prepared with actual questions and it will help. Homework will help you in quizzes and exams. She is a more than fair grader and doesnt try to trick you. She truly wants students to succeed and understand.
She is a tough professor, I won't lie. However, she is equally kind and fair. She'll give (practically) free bonus points on tests and occasionally on the quizzes. No HW is a bonus, and USE HER OFFICE HOURS! She goes quite fast, but she'll slow down and explain anything as long as you ask. Probably the best precalc professor at MC :)
No doubt. Laurel is a great person and awesome teacher. She is VERY clear and loves to answer questions. Im finishing her Summer Math M07 class right now, and her exams towards the end are very difficult. Make sure to ask HER when you dont get something. Shes more than happy to talk to you during break and after class for even more help.
Very difficult class. Tons of homework and tests are a lot of your grade. She has a super cool personality though but definitely one of the hardest classes I have taken so far!
I loved this teacher! I am terrible at math and she was an easy, understandable grader. Gives lots of extra credit and based the tests off of the group work and homework. There is a lot of homework but if you understand it and study it, you'll easily pass. She made Stats easy.
Math is my worst class but Laurel is so great and makes everything easy to understand. She really helps everyone in her class succeed by offering extra credit on every test and by being so approachable and willing to answer questions. If you can do the homework you'll be fine for the tests.
This class is really hard. Your entire grade consists of a quiz(10pts) every week and exams(100pts)every few chapters. The final is based off of everything you have learnt throughout the semester. She is a super nice person but does not give good examples that help us learn the material and material is much harder on the tests. Rlly study if chosen
I really dont understand how this professor has the ratings she does. If I were you, stay far away from taking this course. She may enjoy the subject that is math, but has not a clue how to teach it. Shes practically the textbook. If you can learn math by reading a book, go ahead. One of the worst classes Ive taken at Moorpark. So disappointed
this class should have been easy its college algebra but it has to be the most terrible class ive ever taken. She is a horrible teacher, she may be passionate about math but doesn't know how to teach. All our grade consists of is quiz and tests and no hw. FOR A MATH CLASS? and point system is wack
One of the worst professors Ive had. Shes come to class multiple times unprepared, either forgets to make the lecture or print the lecture notes. Shes not that nice and doesnt care about her students. Grade is solely based on quizzes and test scores and she doesnt teach the subject well
Drane is very good professor. Coming from someone who historically is weak in mathematics, this should speak to Drane's talents. Her lectures contain plenty of examples which very closely resemble the problems on tests and homework. She also sets aside plenty of time to help her students. Drane does weight her grades which can be confusing.
such a kind sweet professor that is always willing to help. I really struggle in math and she makes it super clear and really funny. She drops your lowest test score. Show up to class for group work because its good practice for test questions and some extra points to earn. TAKE HER SHE"S THE BEST!!!
Laurel loves jokes! Her grading is fair, and as long as you show up for group work and ask questions you should be fine. Loved her class, and normally I don't like math.
I took Laurel's class a few semesters ago and I had to come back and leave a review. She gave me confidence in math!! I used to say "oh i just suck at math lol", but her class showed me that I am actually capable :)
Don't take from her. During the Covid 19 I took her and she didn't let up anything. Her test are written herself and they are hard to understand for Stats and she doesn't even say in test what formal or what you should be using for Stat Crunch. She was also extremely rude to me when i I asked a question . Dosen't go over things well.
Best professor Ive had at MC! You definitely need to show up to class, try not to miss a single group work it will drop your grade. Other profs make statistics so hard for no reason. Laurel makes it understandable and even interesting. We use tech to solve problems rather than a calculator. Amazing prof. If you can take Laurel, TAKE HER!!!
Do not take anyone else! I dropped stats with a different professor last semester because I wasnt gonna pass and ended up getting an A with Laurel this semester! I have never been good at any type of math lol but with homework, group work and lectures she makes it so easy to fully understand and do well in this class. So glad I took her for stats
Ms. Drane handled the transition to online instruction well. There is a lot of homework that really best prepares you for testing. Statcrunch is used throughout, and you will be fine if you study. Each test offered extra credit as well as separate assignments. I will seek this teacher out again for any additional math courses.
I took her 4 week summer class and I barely interacted with her, but you can tell that she cares and that she's willing to teach you the concepts if you're confused about anything. She is very organized and grades pretty quickly compared to other professors. Pretty straightforward.
Laurel seems like a nice person, but I have no idea what she's like as a teacher because she did not teach at all. Was disappointed to find out there would be 0 instruction or lectures in this class. Very hard to keep up with the excessive amounts of homework while having to teach myself everything. Not sure what she's getting paid for.
So I first took her during the summer for college algebra because I failed precalc in the spring, and she made me bounce back. I took her again in the fall for precalc and I passed. She's such a great teacher, super understanding. I'm always asking her questions when I don't understand something and she'll easily explain. 10/10, def recommend!!!
This prof doesn't teach. 95% of every lecture is her reading from a copied and pasted piece of text from the textbook. There is a lot of homework and 5 exams, including the final. Overall, I would take someone more experienced at teaching so you don't have to teach yourself.
Professor Laurel is by far the best math professor I have ever had. She is very knowledgable and teaches the concepts in a way that actually makes sense, plus she has a great sense of humor! As expected with any math course there is a fair amount of homework but doing all the work prepares you really well for the exams.
This is a very easy online Stats class if you work. Majority of the test uses software that anyone can use. She is a funny teacher too and is accessible. There are videos and slides to read. The only thing that sucks is the homework, can get very overloading at times. If you failed this class and wrote a bad review you are just sour grapes.
Easy to understand. Gives good examples. She did optional homework for our summer school class, Pre-Calculus and Trigonometry, so I didn't do a single homework assignment & still got an A (as a sophomore in high school). I didn't even buy the book. Attend class (she gives quizzes at the beginning of each class) + pay attention + take notes easy A
She tries to be funny and engaging but it's not professional. She talks about how awkward she is which is nice for her to know about herself, but, she should lecture and not worry about making jokes or filling silence with idle prattle. I found her constant attempts at stand-up distracting and annoying. I'd rather have her teach than joke around
You'll learn very thoroughly, but get ready for a lot of homework. Set aside a whole day to do it if you only want to do it in one go. For me to fully understand it all, it takes me from 3-8 hours for the lecture videos and homework. Beware of your time management skills. Laurel is very respectful, but I wouldn't take her class again if I had a job
She is super understanding and accommodating, I love her personality!
She is a phenomenal teacher, and though I will most likely have to retake it will be my fault. She is an amazing professor and gives extensions a lot of them. She really wants her students to pass and succeed and she is so easy to talk to and is so helpful. Dont even think twice about taking her class. Shes is the best professor Ive ever had.
She is a phenomenal teacher, but this is one of the hardest classes I have ever taken and failed it. She is so nice, and will give extensions, but the class is very hard but she is very communicative.
Shes honestly really easy going and understanding of peoples situations her class is definitely a lot of work bc she uses ALEK which I hated but her tests are east b/c her practice test are exactly like the tests but with different numbers. Towards the end of the semester she gives a lot of extra credit too. easy B but a lot of work to get an A
Teacher is very nice and understanding and is willing to help at all times, but homework is excessive.
She is one of the best math professors I have ever had. Lots of tedious and repetitive homework, but allows you to understand everything. Always willing to help a student out if one reached out. If you're looking for a class you can sit down, get a lecture, and leave, this class might not be for you, always happy to talk to students about anything
This was a self taught class though Aleks. It's pretty lame that you post something you are having a hard time with and respond to 2 other peoples math problems that they need help with.If you don't have something or can't help anyone then you get marked down. Shouldn't the teacher help or better yet ,Aleks has a help module?!?!
I cannot find anything positive or good about her. She does not teach. She leaves it to Aleks. Also there is no clear criteria on how she grades and it is pretty subjective. If I wanted to do online teach myself math I would have just done a free tutoring program.
Looking to self teach through a computer program than she is the right professor. Otherwise she does not teach and does not have her grading outlined in the syllabus and arbitrarily decides how to grade. She marks you down if you can't help 2 class mates with work each lesson or don't need help from your classmates. She literally does no teaching.
BEWARE OF ALEKS. NOT for the faint-hearted. ALEKS is a backwards program that does not effectively teach the material, and grades based off of completion instead of right/wrong with exception of tests. Do not take this class unless you already know the material. The professor provided lectures are average at best.
Do NOT under any circumstances take the online version of this class unless you yourself are a mathematician, and are only taking a single class. You will go through emotional pain attempting to perform the insane quantity of work. The professor sets you up for failure from the start, and their lectures are not helpful by any means.
She is very good at explaining, follow along and do the homework. As you should! and youll past
Laurel is a very relaxed professor who is comfortable being silly and fun as long as math is learned. I took this class in person and it was significantly better than when I took the same class with the same professor in the online version. Laurel seems to genuinely care whether her students learn the subject. She also does little math dances!
This professor is an amazing professor who has hilarious and helpful lectures. While not demanding attendance, she posts notes online for those who need the help at home. Those who go to lectures are very well prepared for the tests which are hard, but has many points given back for work off the test. She is hilarious and very entertaining!
Prof Laurel is an amazing professor. I took her class in person and would highly recommend. She genuinely cares about your well being in the class and is more then willing to help. Prof Laurel makes coming to class something to look forward to and makes math tolerable. Her lectures go into detail so you understand where the steps are coming from.
Laurel is really good at treating her students like adults with their own lives. She is very willing to help with any questions outside of class, and responds quickly. I highly recommend her class.
You don't know where you stand in the class until the week before the final, which really puts you at a disadvantage unless you get an A on everything, which is hard to do without cheating If you need to get it out of the way, she's a good prof but not to get an A
Despite being a math professor professor Laurel is one of the most funny and understanding people you will ever meet, she makes sure there is a clear understanding of what's going on in class and is very patient.
Prof. Laurel was a good online teacher and willing to do outside office hours and tutoring. Wouldn't have eared the grade and a 6-unit course was a bit much. Interesting content but really hard material. I was at tutoring nearly all the time I could be.
She teaches nothing and I learned more from my peers than from her. Her tests are extremely hard for no reason. She assigns an insane amount of homework, about 15 assignments all due on one day of the week, sometimes more. Her homework is all quizzes, even though you have three tries per quiz, which defeats the purpose of the quiz. Her jokes suck.
"Professor" Drane is somehow rude. There are a lot of quizzes on Canvas. Actually, if you do the reading, the quizzes are easy to answer. You get 3 tries and they are not time. But the tests are completely different. Nothing like the quizzes and the reading on Canvas. She can be very disrespectful. Comments about her pay not being good.
Although the professor is nice and accessible, this class should be avoided unless you're already an expert at math or have unlimited time on your hands (no job). ALEKS ($80) does not teach the material, so don't expect to get an A unless you have time for peer tutoring or office hours.
This class is pretty difficult, especially if you started out blind like I did. Watch her lectures, ignore ALEKS notes, and visit her office hours. The study guides look exactly like the tests, so be sure to study those extra well. I wouldn't take this class if you don't want to teach yourself, honestly. (fyi. ALEKS is expensive and needed for HW)
Prof. Laurel is one of the best professors at Moorpark, but the online homework system she used was absolute agony.
Great professor !!! Take this class
THE workload she givesyou is nutsALEKS for 18 weeks cost 80$ she gives u inoneweek is around 100 hw problems EVERY WEEK if there is 4 objectives the hw problems are 75. THERE IS A TOTAL OF 63 hw assignments HW due until Sunday, this class is a living hell also her lectures are only of one problem so prepare to self teach yourself all the material.
I'd never had such a horrible experience with a professor until I took this class. Her lack of communication, grading, and care for her students is unreal. She doesn't grade anything and when you do reach out she either doesn't respond or has a really "mean girl" attitude when she does. Do yourself a favor and don't take her. WORST PROFESSOR
Professor Drane's math class is a true horror story. Concepts are tangled in confusion, and explanations are more cryptic than a horror movie plot. Enrolling feels like a journey into mathematical despair. Steer clear if you value your sanity! Also she gives 0 feedback on anything so be prepared to not know whats going on. DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS!
gives a trillion assignments PER WEEK. quizzes are kind of easy, but it is a lot of work. don't take this class if you care about your mental health or your gpa.
10+ hours of homework per week on Aleks (costs $80), tests are taken at testing center, half the class dropped. you watch the videos for that week at home then, in-person class is just doing homework and asking questions partial credit is given on exams. there are practice tests that look exactly like exams but not a fun class grading is slow,
Best decision of my life to drop the class. I recommend everyone drop this class. I ain't even bad at math.
Met in class twice a week to complete several objectives that consisted of multiple parts. Online lectures were a must watch; notes are checked for points. However, Drane is very understanding of personal circumstances, offers plenty of extra credit, and is often very laid back and lenient as long as you respect the class. She was so kind and fun
She has once a week drop in hours which I always attend. I also had additional help through online tutoring lots of homework but she is so flexible and amazing to work with she truly wants you to succeed and understands that were all just human and honestly that's what makes here so great. I'm not good at math at all but passed just by trying
She doesn't provide corrections until the last moment and gives unclear feedback on discussion posts. The grading seems somewhat arbitrary. There is only one final exam, and she canceled the projects for this class.
the professor for this course should be Professor ALEKS. i tried privately messaging this professor in terms of some adjustments to her due dates and aleks but she had the nerve to try to smart mouth me so obviously I clapped back and dropped. not worth taking. the bitmoji should've been the first red flag.
You will require self-discipline!! I did a PACE STEM course (8 weeks) which was tough. She gives 1 example in her lectures which makes it a bit hard but ALEK's has an 'explanation' feature to explain how to do it. She makes herself available to help which is motivating. I would take her class again but not accelerated or online.
Homework is pretty annoying and takes kinda long but as long as you dont wait for the night before to complete you should be fine. Professor is really nice and takes time explaining problems to others, she is also lenient with late work. Tests are easy because the practice tests are very similar to the actual tests.
Professor Drane can be hit-or-miss, but the course is manageable with effort. Expect a lot of work, but she's understanding. Unstuck ai was a lifesaver for study prep - definitely check it out alongside other resources.
So much homework! Up until until 2am or 4am every day since enrollment. Class uses Honorlock and with cameras, so heads up. 8 modules every week, and 8 tests every week-each module took my 1 to 1.5 hours, same with the tests. If the subjects are new to you it is extremely hard to learn, memorize then do the tests. Teacher was understanding.
There is A LOT of homework. I haven't done so much homework in years. There are several tests in each module but they are pretty short. She allows 3 attempts for some tests which is good. You also have to read SO MUCH, it's insane. I wasn't expecting this for a math class but I guess it's to be expected for any statistics class.
So many students were struggling in this class, do not take it if you are in any other difficult classes. This will consume most of your time. It's like 2+ hours of online work each day. Who does math online!? You have to learn to do it yourself from a video she posts outside of class then during the actual 2hr class period you do your homework...
be ready to teach yourself the entire course. you're expected to watch the lectures b4 class, then spend the entire class period doing the work on your laptop. she doesn't teach, so unless you want to spend 3-4 hours everyday teaching yourself math don't take her
