Lauren is TOTALLY sweet! Her enthusiasm will astound you..she truely makes an effort to get to know people even in huge lectures! Really down to earth! You'll love her.

Prof. Fern is a great teacher. Teaches as though you have never heard of calculus so it is very easy to understand. Tests and quizzes are laid out for you couldn't be much more clear.

Lauren is a great teacher and is super enthusiastic about what she teaches and absolutely loves to see you understand it and excel. If she teaches a lab, try to get in it because she is the one who writes the tests and also hates to see you fail if she sees your face everyday. Go to class and lab. Do homework regularly out of the book.

Proffessor Fern was always enthusiastic about teaching! It made the class more enjoyable. If you had questions, you could ask her in class to explain and she stopped class to do just that. Her TA's in lab were just like her helpful in any way possible. One of the better proffessors at the Univeraity if Montana!

It wasn't a difficult class. She is very clear as to what will be tested and uses tons of practice problems in class to help. Light homework as far as math classes go

one of my favorite teachers. just fantastic. if you have to take M 115 (which is mandatory for most majors here) take it from her. go to class and you will pass it fine. would not recommend the others, failed from one before her. got an A in her class. she is a very loud and an entertaining teacher which is difficult to do when teach math.

Fern has such enthusiasm towards her students and it is very clear that she cares about all of us. Lauren Fern is an absolute gem! I've never taken a math class that I've enjoyed, but she makes applied calculus easy to understand and enjoyable. Go to her office hours and get to know her, it will really pay off. The TA's aren't very helpful, but Lauren is understanding and knows how to teach. If you get the chance, take her class!

Laren is a great teacher! She is great at making the material fun and driving the students interest in the matter. I enjoyed her class, and though it is necessary to do the homework I highly recommend her as an instructor. Laren lives on comments from her students, so be ready to participate in her lessons and respond with answers. It pays off.

Lauren is so fun! She makes sure that the entire class is clear on how things are done. Only three tests and a final. There is a quiz every week in lab but if you have a good TA they are not hard.

Lauren Fern successfully taught a broad area of finite mathematics in one course: set theory, probability, counting principles related to permutations and combinations, statistics, linear functions/programming, including systems of equations and inequalities, and graphing. She lessons were clearly demonstrated, and I had fun learning the math!

As a non-trad student who had been out of school nearly 20 yrs, I was very hesitant to complete a math course- putting it off until 4th semester. Lauren broke things down to the point that I found myself wondering 'when is this going to get hard?' 4 weeks in. I passed the class with a grade of 100%.
