Ms. Grant is an awesome teacher. Very informative and innovative!

I LOVE THIS TEAHCER! she is the coolest. i recently started her class i was in a different english class and withdrew because of some issues luckily i found this class and was hoping that it wasnt as boring as the last but she is so nice! shes very up beat and cheerful everyday always picks the best readings shes amazing! i recomend her!! =]

She's a hyper-happy person, but has issues with kids named Chris :p Her assignments are really easy, just read and write about one paragraph. So if you want to learn, take another teacher, if your looking for an easy class, she's a good teacher for that. :o)

The readings were good, overall, and she got us to really think and appreciate the author's work. She's cool, too, because she'll negotiate with the class with regards to assignments. Great teacher.

Shes down to earth, very energetic, and helpful. The class is very easy and mostly textbook work. She prepares you for the state exam, gives you small essays to write and minimal work from the text. The class is fun depending the group your in. Remember two things, do your work on time and come in on time. The rest is history. You will get an A+!!!

She rocks. Great sense of humor, fair grading, fun teaching style. She's always asking our opinion about what's working and what's not. She just wants us to "give a crap." Easy enough.

EVERY class I've been in, she's asked for feedback from the students for everything like work load, essay prompts, tardy policy (which we all loved), readings, what she can do next time, etc. SHE IS THE BEST!!

Im currently 3 weeks in her class but it is my favorite class ever taken. She is so happy to be teaching and cares about what students have to say. So far the assignments have been very easy. Pick Lauren for your teacher shes the best and hot

Definitely the best teacher to take for any English class. A couple of homework assignments and essays and you get an "A".She is a fun teacher and does not have a old mind set. I Highly recommend taking this class

I feel the need to defend Ms. Lauren. First, she's easy b/c she gives you like a million chances. She just wants you to do the work.(I'd know...I've turned stuff in late...)She's really helpful w/ rough drafts. She marks the crap out of them.(That seems like it sucks & is mean, but it's really helpful when writing the final draft.) I learned a lot.

Awesome teacher!!! Awesome class!!! Some of the readings were LONG but most of the discussions were interesting. Homework was pretty easy. The way she teaches gets everyone talking and laughing. Defending Ms.Grant- She is a very helpful,caring, and understanding teacher. She does help you with your essays and the reason why she does that is to help the student with their critical thinking. Let me put it this way if your english grammar is not up to Comp 2 level then your in a world of hurt. Meaning your general classes didnt help you.

She is a great teacher. Anyone who says they didn't do well is a lazy student. If you don't go to her office to recieve help or practice on your essay skills good luck with life. You should have college level grammar by then. Wouldn't you agree with me classmates. Your in college, grow up and do some studying. Everyone has problems. Study study!!!!

This teacher is the easiest teacher i have taken in English. She makes it fun and interesting. Very helpful and cares about her students. All you do is Write Essays but She lets u pick the topic for d most part. When it came to the Final 2 of the prompt we had already talked about and had done hundreds of time in class easy A! and she's hot!!!

I took her class over Summer B and it was really fun! She always emphasizes to add as much detail as possible to essays. And she was so much better than my ENC1101 professor. She's young, stylish, and can relate to students. Just make sure you write as much detail as possible! :)

PRO-Professor makes English topics interesting. Only 2-4 essays for the whole semester. Funny. Cute. Down-2-Earth. Smart. CON-Some stories to read are boring(but the professor will make it interesting). DO NOT take early-hours class(or you will not like it). SUMMARY: Show up, participate in class, and put effort in writing essays then you'll pass.

This class is great. The professor is fun and really pretty. The readings are pretty good. She gives a lot of help with rough drafts. Her late policy is a little nerve wracking, but she'll sing or dance with you. It's pretty funny. I was NEVER late because of it. Take her. She's pretty flexible, so you have to be a complete moron not to pass.

Lauren is the best English teacher I have ever had. She's very energetic, clear on her expectations, and honest. She's a Super Gator Fan, and loves listening to Pandora. I've had her for three semesters now and have gotten A's every single semester. Im so glad I took her and not some Shakespear "wannabe".

I really enjoyed this class. I took her online in the condenced course and she made the class really interesting and super easy. She's very easy going and helpful. I'm sad I can't take her again for comp 2.

She is such a great teacher, it is hard to fail her class. The assignments are really easy and and she is really clear when it comes to what she wants on your paper. She is very upbeat and will talk about anything, she will joke around with you guys and her late policy is just hilarious. Make sure to follow all the rules and you will do great. EASY

Great teacher. You can tell she really likes her job. She's happy to edit your papers as many times as you want. Your papers will be covered in ink, but her comments are really helpful. She also gives interesting readings most of the time. When they're not, she explains why we need to read them. If you participate and do your work, you're golden.

AWESOME class and professor. Open discussions. She lets you write on most topics except for weed.(She says she's read too many of those.) Class is mostly discussion based. She provides individual comments on the papers you write, and I learned a lot from them. So many! Very fair in class and with her comments. Bad reviewers must've gotten bad grade

Nicest teacher ever! Totally sweet and interested in us learning. Doesn't just go over boring english stuff but really relates it to our real lives and why it matters. Comments about her comments on drafts are totally accurate. She gives a lot of feedback that's helpful. Funny, fair, and not bad to look at, either. I definitely recommend her!!

Lots of comments on drafts. Very clear about her expectations. Nice teacher. Funny. Pretty. Her only downside is she's a Gator fan. (Go Noles!) A lot of her examples are about the Gators, too. Had her for football and basketball season. EC when they win!! Definitely take her. She's the best.

If you have her, you should sing her Faith by George Michael. She gives out extra credit opportunities and her homework is vocabulary and an example. The midterm and final are easy, the questions on the study guide are exactly on the test. Ask your classmates for the answers when they make questions.

I've had her for humanities and comp. Cool for both. Humanities was more fun. Lots of discussion. She'll try and find the examples you mention online to show class what ur talking about. Saw music and cartoon clips, too. Group project - our class had a band play for their project. She was so funny-she loved it. English is cool but writing sucks

Great teacher! She explains everything perfectly. All you have to do is show up to class and do the work. About 3 to 4 essays and as a class you pick to the essay topic. Plus she is gorgeous

Very nice. Lots of discussions in class, some unrelated to class but she finds ways to tie them in. attendance not mandatory, but takes off participation grade. 3 papers, they are the deciding factor in what your grade is, along with participation. No tests

Great teacher. Have taken her for two classes. Clear. Helpful. Gave helpful suggestions on papers and ideas. She DOES check for plagiarism, so if it didn't come from you, you'd definitely better say where it came from because she'll know. I made that mistake once and learned to cite after that. Very fair and nice. I highly recommend.

Great professor. Tough, but great. Her class is fun, & she allows a great deal of freedom in our discussions/paper topics. Your essays will be covered in comments, but they will help you be a better writer. She's definitely no-nonsense, no excuses, etc., but if you actually care, she is all about helping you be successful. Really, really nice.

I love this class! We're doing a whole theme on gratitude - so cool. The whole class is really in to it. Lauren really cares about us and wants to make sure we really get something out of the class. We have a lot of fun - lots of discussions, lots of outside info other than what's in the book. Such a great class. Such a great teacher. Love her!

Professor Grant is awesome!!! She is so helpful and gives very clear instructions and expectations! Her class is not easy but if you keep up with your assignments, you'll do fine! Make sure you write more than necessary for the discussions and be critical of other peoples posts! She loves that! I loved her class and took it for ENC 1101 & 1102.

Professor Grant is hilarious! You can take her class at 7:30 in the morning (which I did) and NOT fall asleep. She always plays music as students come in the class which makes for a warm welcome. Homework is minimal and oftentimes FUN and INTERESTING. She is always smiley and bubbly. Wish I could take this class again!

She was my first professor and is so awesome! You'll never be bored in class and you won't mind going to class because she always finds interesting topics to discuss.

Lauren is great! You are expected to make an effort, and if you don't understand something to ask for help. She made Eng. Comp. 2 and other writing classes, including speech much easier to understand and pass. If you are not interested in class participation, or actually learning to write properly, find a teacher less passionate about language art

Professor Grant, I loved her classes. There was never a dull moment in class and she explains the essays topics very well. She is always there for you when you need her and she gives good advice on an essay and she gives good feedback. If I wasn't done taking english classes I would totally take her again. I would recommend her she is amazing.

She's awesome. Really fun classes. Basically all discussion based. Listens to feedback from students and adapts the course accordingly which is great. I would take her again in a heartbeat. Learned so much. Laughed a lot. She's also hot.

Grant is a great teacher. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you actually want to come to class, even at 7 in the am. She plays music before class, and we usually spend a few minutes each class talking about "what's going on in the world." People who don't love her probably cheated. She's pretty hardcore when it comes to cheating. Loved her!!!!!!!

Prof Lauren is really nice and fun. She assigns good readings and let us have a lot of flexibility with our essay topics. She's probably the most fair teacher I've had here. Really funny, really nice, learned a lot in her class. I'm definitely a better writer, and I don't hate it quite as much as I did before thanks to her class. She's amazing

She is amazingggggg! I love her, she is my favorite professor here at Valencia. She is really easy to talk to and really cares about not only you but your grade as well. I would really recommend people to take her for Comp 1. I'm going to miss having her as a professor and being in her class.

I hate reading and writing, I took a short 6week condensed class and i was actually really impressed! She was super organized, and answered all the questions I needed. She was a great motivator, and though she was a tough grader, her feedback really helps. If you have questions, do not feel afraid to ask. She is a definite GO!!

Lauren is awesome, awesome, awesome! She was one of the very best professors I had at Valencia, and I would take her again for other subjects if she taught them. (I took her for Humanities, too - awesome there, too.) She is happy & clearly enjoys her job. I would 100% recommend taking her - she is so caring and fun and really wants you to learn.

Very nice. Cares about students understanding the material. She really taught us how to think. She also made sure we talked about what events were happening in the world and how we could relate them to what we were writing about. One of the best, funniest, caring professors I've had.

This was an online class, so there's that... She seems really nice. Lots of individual work, but she gives good feedback. She also seemed apologetic for all the individual work, but for a writing class online, I guess that's what you get? Nice teacher. Lots of work, but super nice teacher.

This was by far my favorite class I have taken. It was a fair amount of work, she gave extra credit options toward the end which helps A LOT. I would take another class of hers again if I had the option too. Shes one of the best professors at Valencia.

I found this class to be slightly work heavy, although not that hard. As long as you complete the work and participate in the weekly discussions, this class should be easy to pass. The professor does offer her help and aids with questions you may have. Overall, I would take this class again.

Professor Grant's ENC1101 online course is simple. 15 total discussion boards (1x/wk), 20 or so mini-quizzes (2-3/wk), 3 rough drafts & 3 final papers. The quizzes are simple, read the book, take her feedback on your essays and you'll receive an easy A. Very good at communicating, offers EC at the end of the semester and 1/2 credit for missed work.

Professor Grant is the most understanding and compassionate teacher. This was a crazy semester with all that was going on with the Corona virus, and she was super accommodating and helpful. It's an online course, so you have to be ready to look at the announcements, etc., but her instructions are clear, and she gives good feedback on your work.

Prof. Grant is good if you just want to get the class over with. She gives a perfect amount of work due a week (a discussion post, a quiz which is super easy). You also have one 2 page paper and a semester long 5 page research paper. She answers emails fast and extra credit is to revise your first paper. As long as you do the work you'll get an A.

She grades fairly, and gives great feedback. She also gives extra credit, and accepts late work! She responds quickly, and helps you if you ask for it. She is clear on what she expects on your assignments. She assigns 3 final papers and 3 rough drafts, which are helpful for the final papers. This class is an easy A. You'll also take easy quizzes.

I would 100% take her class again. I had her from Freshman Comp 1, and wish she was an option for Comp 2. She was easygoing and approachable. If you do the work you will pass easily. She is a good grader, and does not give excessive assignments. No final, since the last essay you do counts as the final. Take her!!!

Very enjoyable teacher to have. Gave us 2-3 short assignments a week. Some would be mini quizzes on punctuation, plagiarism, etc. One would be a "What's Going On?" An assignment in which we would talk about things going on that week in the world, and respond to others' posts. For essays, we only had 2 and we had to post the rough drafts.
