This teacher is extremly annoying! She does not know how to explain things. She is very strict in grading. Don't take her class!

She definitely had her favorites.Gave too many pointless assignments. There was hw every time we had class. She looks nice but can be very mean. Be prepared to see the word PROBLEMATIC in ur papers.This woman made me feel like I was stupid.

She definately picked her favorites, and anyone on here that says otherwise or says she was a great teacher WERE one of her favorites. She made me feel as if everything I did was wrong. How you do depends on how she feels, even on OPINION questions. Stay away!

She won't clarify any questions that you have. Her classes are boring and the students just sit there. Try to find a better English teacher. She grades very strictly. It's impossible to get higher than a B.

This woman was rude, and enjoys being rude. Nobody in the class liked her and I hope to God that I don't have her for my 104 class. Don't take her class!

Word to the wise: RUN AWAY FROM THIS LADY AND NEVER TAKE HER CLASS! She is rude and rants on about her personal life all the time. When she grades your papers, writes rude comments such as my friends paper "You have no idea what you are talking about." She is one of those people who think they are extremely smart and want to make you feel dumb.

She is a horrible teacher, and she will only grade fair or be nice to you in any way if you suck up to her and agree with all of her ideas. She is a horrible orator and a real dictator. I am glad to be through with her class, and I hope to never see her again, much less take another class taught by her.

I lerned good. I like here. She graded fare. Im happi that she taughted me english good becouse now I can get a jobs. That's just for fun. She is an unfair grader, absolutely hates when you do not agree with her, and loves to call you out on being wrong, late, confused, or any time you are not kissing ass.

Ha. I agree with the last comment. She loves calling people out, but hates being called out. She'll get real defensive if you go against anything in the text. The class is easy, but she makes it hard for you to get a good grade. Doesn't really grade fairly-takes points off for things irrelevant to the class. AVOID her.

She is really rude and always sneaks in her own stupid opinions on things. If you don't agree with her, she usually is harsher with your grade. She is more likely to not like you since she seems to not really like anyone unless you speak all the time and are perfect.

Very hard grader. Teacher is incredibly terrible. Very negative towards students. Not helpful. Highly advise not to take.

Worst teacher I've had so far at DePaul. Ironic that in a class about tone and consideration in business this woman could be so brash and rude. It's an important class but do yourself a favor and take it with a different teacher.

Okay, So this Prof is clearly not a good one, she is rude, very dismissive, she knows about Ratemyprofessor.com and yet she hasnt changed, clearly she is not meant for teaching, my guess is she came to this current school Mchenry County College to run away from prior acusations, because she was having such a hard time at DePaul. Get another TEACHER

How should I describe her? Disrespectful. Biased. Evil? Anyways, I just want to say that there is no way a teacher like this would still have his/her job if it was not for tenure. She should not be a teacher- it's as simple as that.

She's intelligent and well read, HOWEVER, it is hard to get past her rude, condescending, dismissive, aggressive behaviour. Makes blatant derogatory and political comments in class, biased grading. Very preferential treatemtn of students. Received good grade but would NEVER take her again.

Worst teacher i have ever had at De Paul. switch if you can. she is difficult to work with and has ridiculous expectations. I would not recommend this teacher.

Professor Hahn means well, but I would not recommend anyone to take her. As a business writing class, you would think grading is based on formatting, but its based on content, something she systematically tears apart in her grading. If you make all of her recommended revisions, she still gives a bad grade. As a 2 credit class it is not worth a B-.

She is very hard and grades very hard. Make sure you understand Toolman terminology otherwise you are screwed. You will work on papers and she acts like this is your only class! Good luck, shes VERY hard!

Easily one of the worst instructors I've ever had. Impetuous, petty, hot-tempered. Treats us all like we?re 5. Chews you out for any infraction big or small. We all just ignore it now out of sympathy/politeness for whoever she chooses to berate that day. Doesn't teach how to write; teaches how to mindlessly regurgitate info from assigned readings.

Horrible. Grades on a bias, if you get stuck with her you better write with her opinion. Very rude and short with students especially if you are making a counterpoint to her ideas. Close-minded. Assigns too much work, there were at least 2 writings due a week. Avoid at all costs

I wouldn't take her again. Blackboard shows a good grade, which doesn't seem to figure into grades. Midterm and final grade are lower than expected, which seem to be based only on your portfolio and final paper. Update paper per her comments and she still gives a lower than expected grade. Look for another teacher.

I did well in her class, only because I was relentless and made an average of two revisions per paper. She's excellent if you're too brainless to have your own opinion, otherwise she's a horrible instructor. All I learned to do was summarize her exact words by the end of the quarter for a good grade. Great if you don't know how to regurgitate info.

It should first be stated that I honestly did learn from her class. She looks for succinct and strong argumentative essays, but is very picky on what she thinks is a well-written argument. Students in my class were often confused with her expectations and upset with her harsh grades, but it's really rewarding once you figure out her system.

I wouldn't recommend taking her, personally. I had a rough time with this class, and though I've always enjoyed writing and working with my writing she made it unclear as to why I was not doing well on assignments. I also disliked her use of the Sports Talk text book and her focus on athletics, as it was something not easy for me to write about.

"The Honest Reviewer" Pros: You can revised your essay... Cons: You can revised ONLY your essays and they make up only 20% of your grade. Midterm and final portfolio make up 60%. Quizzes make up the rest. Anyways, don't be creative in her classes. Follow ONLY her instructions and you'll be fine. I didn't. Overall, 4/10.

I would highly not recommend taking her class. Super strict about attendance and participation. Brainwashes you with the Toulmin arguement and multiple rough drafts. Loves to argue. Lots of busy work and many assignments on top of the final portfolio. I ended up failing the class, and had to retake it with another professor and got an A.

She absolutely drove everyone nuts. She will only see her side of things, and if you do not agree with her your grade will suffer, even if it's a narrative. Lots of busywork and uninteresting class. Stay away if possible.

She is very strict about attendance, if you are 5min late she will call u out in front of the class. She rolls her eyes a lot. She can be helpful at times but i wouldn't reccomend her.

She is really sarcastic, strict and not helpful at all.

She grades too harshly. Its hard to pay attention in class because she's boring. You could hear a pin drop in her class. no one really wants to be there and it shows because no one participates. she's a bad teacher. She's sarcastic and dosen't care if your point of view is different. she gets annoyed if no one says anything during discussions.

Most awful teacher I've had at DePaul. It's a wonder how she's still employed. Grades harshly, extremely rude, and very condescending. It's impossible to get an A. Only take if there are absolutely no other options.

Hard class, unclear instructions, she has a hard time with computers and basic communication. 2 online classes to attend, mandatory. Hard grader. Never seemed to get above a B but managed to snag a better grade somehow. She copy and pasted a lot of stuff, old dates on assignments, I didn't do some and got a 10/10. Weird class. Do not recommend.

Do not take this class. I thought this would be a simple, writing class, and I'm struggling to get above a B. First of all, none of her due dates are correct. She writes "optional" on some assignments, and then in the description calls it a "mandatory" assignment. WHICH IS IT???? Take this class if you want to have an immense amount of stress
