I HIGHLY recommend her Personal Awareness and Growth class. There is a lot of reading and 6 papers (5-7 pages each), including a book review. But, it was still really cool. Learned lots of neat stuff about myself, love, life and we even had a guest speaker that was a Shaman (sp?). It was great!

wonderful professor, great personality. not the easiest class, you have to work for it but you can get a good grade. she makes material interesting and tries to clarify any misunderstandings. two thumbs up : )

Not an easy class by most Psych class' but excellent learning experience. She has lots of experience. Book is somewhat dry and lengthy conversely her lectures/guest/video's are wonderful. Lots of reading and in turn disipline but previously mentioned class experience makes up for it!

She is a wonderful teacher, she makes the material fun and interesting. She opens up your views and ideas and then pushes your limits. Great professor, I recommend her to anybody.

Lauren is a very neat and interesting person. However, during our first test, average score was a C-, and that was open book. Only one "A". Second test, average score was a "B-", with no "A's". I'm not sure where the problem is. Like I said, neat teacher, but there's a link missing somewhere. I'd try another instructor.

This was a tough yet titillating course- afterall it is about human sexuality. Some people think they know everything about sex but Lauren Kuhn could teach Heffner a thing or two. I highly recommend Lauren. FYI- taking this class is the perfect excuse to explore sexual concepts (you might have been shy about) with your significant other ;O .

I would recommend this class to anyone needing any PSY credit. This class opened the door to the world of psychology for me and now I find myself wanting more classes. Lauren is very easy to talk to and is a great listener!

Lauren is amazingly energetic. She makes coming to class a delight. The atmosphere is incredibly comfortable for the semi-sensitive nature of the class, but it's not an easy A. You have to put in a lot of time, and some of the test questions are a bit tricky. You will learn a lot from her though, just don't count on sailing through the class.

Ok, Honestly speaking: I think Lauren is a very neat teacher and person. Her teaching style didn't mesh well with my learning style, so I had to do a bit of adjusting. Not much lecture time, movies are interesting, but not test related, group discussions are fascinating, but not covered on the test, wish she had focused more on course "material".

Lauren Kuhn Is a fantastic professor. This is not an "easy A" by any measure, though it is a very interesting subject, you'll be amazed by all there is to learn about human sexuality :) The tests are difficult, there are questions from lectures, and you won't sail through easily. This class was difinitly worth while. I'm taking 232 next term.

Lauren is a great instructor, who is very passionate about psychology. Her lectures were very easy to understand, Her tests were challenging, but fair, and covered the reading, and lectures. I will say that she is not a push over with grading, but she will let you redo assignments when you didn't get the grade you wanted. I recommend Lauren 100%

I took PSY101,231,232,& 240 w/Lauren. Her psy101 class made me love school and want to major in psychology. Her class is challenging, in-class lectures aren't related to book and are just for the benefit of the knowledge, yet the tests are centered on the book. I feel lucky to have known Lauren, she's changed the way I communicate and think.

I love Lauren, she isn't "hard" she is challenging! This isn't high-school, folks.I think she is a very reasonable professor but NOT a pushover by any means. If you actually want to learn something, definitely take this course. The information I have received in this class has been phenomenally important in every aspect of my life.

It is a challenging course and you need to study! A lot of reading and she is not going to hold your hand (this is a adult class after all, so act like one)! Lauren is understanding, patient and very passionate about her field of study. I am taking a class from her next term and look forward to a new challenge from a knowledgeable Professor!

Yeah I was not paying attention when I graded her. she is awesome. all of the stats above this one are backwards. The only bad part is that the tests are really hard and you really have to read the text to do well. and you will not get points you don't deserve:)

Lauren is awesome, her quizes are pretty hard so you have to STUDY. if you don't you will have a hard time in this class. I learned a lot in this class and she makes it very interesting. i thought i was going to fail the class, but she gave me that extra push and I ended up with a B!! I Would definately recommend her!

Great class; never a dull moment; often kept me thinking about material outside of class and I believe I will integrate much of what I learned into my life. Equally incredible class and professor. This was a one night a week class at the PCC SE campus and I think I really benefited from the extended time together in class. We were really able to cover a lot in one class and as a added bonus the nights flew by. Lauren loves her job and demonstrates it in her teaching.

This class is an amazing look inside of yourself. The self disclosure from others makes it difficult not to take the class seriously. I learned a lot about myself, and more importantly I learned that I need to keep learning throughout life. Lauren is one of the greatest professors I have had the privilege of having in college. I LOVE her! She knows her stuff, is very helpful, but isn't super easy. You have to work for your grade. She plays devil's advocate to get you to think and has lots of good extra info to relate to class. Very easy to talk to and good with questions. Would take every class with her if it were offered!!

if you are at all interested in learning about psychology but are not completely sure take this class and this teacher. she makes every class fun and exciting and uses a variety of media to teach the class. tests are easy and not tricky as long as you have read the text and as long as you attend class everyday you should do very well.

Fun, concise, and helpful. Open to discussions and questions. She's willing to work with you for rescheduling a test date if you'll be out of town. Teaches a very interesting course.

Loved this class! It is not an easy A and many did not do well, BUT if you wnt it, you can earn it. She is passionate about her field and gets everyone involved. The tests are the hard part, and she gives you the material and tools to earn your grade. HAVE TO READ THE TEXT AND STUDY THE MATERIAL!

Lauren is very into herself. This works for some of the students, but not all. She has class pets. They actually answer all the questions and she never pushes anyone else to answer if one of these "faves" put their hand up. She is funny. And she knows her stuff. She also grades very hard and does not do good reviews for her tests.

Lauren made this an interesting class with role plays and how to get better results in your every day existence. I learned alot about myself in this class and feel everyone in college could benifit from taking it with Lauren. Great Job.

I really liked Lauren. She is very enthusiastic about the subject. She brings a lot of extra information to class, but tests typically only rely on the text. Lots of group talking and several presentations.

Had Lauren for Human sexuality. One of the most interesting classes I have ever taken. Easy class to pass if you show up and read the textbook. Often frank and dark discussions. My particular class was full of damaged people. Great teacher. I recommend this class to everyone. Especially men.

i have taken many classes with her. laurn is hard but fair...she is also a very fun teacher who tries not to bore with lecture! i would take more classes from her if i could...she makes you want to go to class...you never know what she is going to do or say next!!

Life development is not the most interesting subject matter. Wish I could have taken human sexuality as a pre-req instead. The text is not discussed in class. Her open book timed tests are difficult in that they seem more like an exercise in info retrieval than info assimilation. Very thoughtful class projects and very supportive teacher.

Lauren is a wonderful teacher! Even though I don't need to, I'm seriously considering taking another class with her in the future. As for test difficulty, be prepared to read for at least 2 hours a day, write outlines, and attend class if you want an A in the class.

Lauren genuinely cares about her students. She wants us to succeed and works hard for us, and with us. She shares her personal experiences often in a beautiful example of self-disclosure. She is a delight to be around and she inspired me incredibly. I highly recommend taking her, it truly has improved my entire college career.

I've taken psych classes from Lauren the entire time I've been going to PCC and I'm sad I can't take her to my next city college. She's amazing, and has literally changed my life.

I ended up having two courses with Kuhn, and ended up loving the courses; I had LOW expectations on both classes in advance. Kuhn helped me when I was in full Panic and jingling coins in my pockets, ready to leave campus. A+ for the teacher!

I had Lauren for psych 231, 232 & 240. I loved each class. Lauren is a fabulous teacher who knows her stuff and loves sharing her knowledge and experiences. If you just want college credits, I say take your psych classes from someone else. But if you really want to learn about the topic and yourself, Lauren is the best teacher you could have.

good teacher, text is huge & expensive but a good book and 100% used for class. Lauren is very punctual in getting work back. Grading is fair, just work hard and stick to the format an A is possible. Lot's of different ways to earn points if you are not a good tester you can write papers. Learned a lot from class.recommend class and teacher

Lauren is absolutely the most incredible instructor at PCC. I have followed her for a whole academic year, despite the fact my major is in something completely different! Lauren's grades are EARNED. They are not handed out on a study guide and you do need to have high self efficacy to complete work on time and be prepared. Her teaching technique is one that will help you in all of your classes, but you do need to make the choice of being a SERIOUS college student. I have taken PSY215 and 101, both are very enjoyable

Lauren is amazing and is great at getting the class to think about their personal "stuff" concerning sex and sexuality. This class is designed for grown-ups, and I think several students were no mature enough to really participate fully in order to gain what they should. I was pleased to have Lauren as my instructor for this class. She is HOT!!!

Her Human Development class is far more difficult than any anatomy and physiology class you'll ever take. The reality is, though, that if you pull an A, you kind of rule the collegiate world...... and its good to be king. So take her, and let her turn you into a warrior.

Hard class (compared to other comm coll classes), lots of reading. Show up, do the reading, and you'll be fine. So rare to have a prof that genuinely loves teaching AND knows what she is talking about. Take this class if you want to learn something for a change.

Lauren's knowledge and practical experience make her a great instructor who is very much interested in the success of her students. The class covers a lot of material and requires effort, including heavy reading, and coming to class prepared. I learned a lot and highly recommend.

This is a really involved and active class. It gets deep, and there is a lot of opportunity for good discussion and critical thinking without judgement. Lauren's class is a good combination of lectures, guest speakers, videos and discussion, as well as homework readings and assignments.

This is a good class if you are interested in growing as a person as well as a student. Lauren has decades of experience as a teacher and a counselor, so is well suited to teach this class. Beware, it brought up a lot for some students, but you get out of it what you put into it. It's possible to do the bare minimum, but then why take it at all?

Wow, at first I didn't enjoy this class very much, but by the end of the course it became one of my favorite classes ever. Lauren may rub some students the wrong way, but she's very knowledgeable and knows how to get the most out of her lessons. Lauren is an awesome instructor. I have had her in three different psychology classes. She is a very compassionate and understanding person. She tells you exactly what is expected of you. And what to expect in each class. Class participation is important, but not mandatory. I personally find her tests very hard, but I was still able to get A's.

This is a tough class because it delves into some really sensitive issues regarding human sexuality. Lauren does an excellent job creating an open environment for self-exploration and discussion. There are a lot of different facets (films, guest speakers, lectures, and group participation) so be flexible and attentive and you will do fine.

FANTASTIC instructor. AWESOME updated textbook(2016) and info. Knows her stuff, but I felt as though I learned mainly from the book vs the lectures. She WANTS students to come forth if they feel they haven't gotten the grade they deserve, but you REALLY have to work for that A. No grade curve, 4 exams, 1 participation paper & 1 main final paper.

I really enjoyed being in Lauren's class. The 4 hours were challenging but she managed to make it really fun and keep me engaged. You can tell that she really cares about her students and the material she's teaching. She's a true asset to PCC.

I've had Lauren for two courses now and she is one of my favorite teachers. She is passionate about what she's teaching and expects students to be engaged and willing to learn. Attendance and participation are heavy hitters in her grading, but if you're there, willing to be engaged and turn your homework in on time, you'll have no issues.
