Fairly Easy, but is too "professional". She acts like the classroom is a business meeting.
Easy A. Talk to her out of the classroom and she is cool. Get to know her and it might help your grade when it comes to group projects. Willing to help any and every student.
She is definitely easy, but I did not enjoy the class at all. All that is required to pass the tests is to simply read through the vocabulary for each chapter. They're too long to read, and most of it's common sense anyway. If you want an A, take her.

Treated like a high school class...not very interesting, definitely not fun. Should be easy for you if you just study the review.
I do not know how anyone can find Mrs. Maxwell hard. I do not write notes, I do not look at the book, and half the time, I do not pay attention. She gives you up to thirty bonus points, and her tests are not hard at all. Class can be a little boring though, but if you can sit through that, its ok
Very easy class. I didn't take any notes or listened. Just did her study guide and took the online classes. VERY EASY A!
She is nice person. Always willing to help if you ask her. This class is really easy, if you go the day before the test. She gives you a study guide. The majority of the test comes from it. She gives some extra points in the test. Is a really interesting class.
It's a pretty east class, but she is very strict about classroom behavior. Do not be late and do not play with cell phones or talk at ALL. She will tell you if you are doing any of these in front of the whole class. She is really a nice person though and will help you if you need help.
You don't need to take many notes b/c she gives a pretty good review before the test's. I just took my book and highlighter to class and made a B
HATED this class. Studied, read, reviewed notes and got a C first test(and i'm straight A's!). treated like kindergardeners! She's willing to see you out of class, but you feel like a number. And lectures have NOTHING to do with what's on the test! BOARING too, don't do it ppl!
The class is boring, but you have to go because she takes attendance. I never took notes and wrote notes to my friend sitting next to me all class. A popular quote would be, "put away that phone," followed by a lecture about meeting ettiquette. Used the review to highlight my book and made an A!
Maxwell is a good professor and this was a relatively easy class. I didn't take notes; I just did the online quizzes on each chapter for studying and got an easy A. She is very anal about classroom behavior like cell phones ringing or dozing off in class.
This class was definitely the easiest one I've had in a while. You don't have to take notes- she goes over the whole test and tells you what to know for it. She also offers 30 bonus points by attending lectures out of class, and bonus questions on every test. The online quizzes also help. Easy A!
Mrs Maxwell is a very nice and helpful teacher. Class work load is LIGHT. Fun and easy class.
She wont let you miss more than 3 days but she missed several weeks last semester! Maybe she needs to review her attendance policy! But the class is easy do the online quizzes and you will have an A!
Not difficult go to class...if you pay attention and take notes then the review isnt really that important but if you do it the other way around then notes dont matter either way you can get an A
She didn't seem to think that the passing of a family member was an important enough event to miss class and docked a letter grade since I missed over 3 classes(2-sick with note, contageous....2-surgery and passing-away of father). Her lectures are boring and not as up to date as she thinks....she does no research to verify. Easy class, but take it with someone else if you can.....she is too dry and doesn't give a****.
Easy class and can get an easy A. She is a bit rude sometimes and will kick you out of class if she's sees you sleeping. I've seen it. Lots of rules, but required business class.
Easy class, but there are too many rules. Don't believe her when she says you need to dress professionally for the presentation. I came dressed like I did every day, did a lame 2 minute speech and still made an A.
DO NOT TAKE HER...she is very rude, does not respect the students...diffently a do as i say not as i do person. She was late/missed at lease once every 2 weeks and expects you to be there everyday. lectures are boring and there is not a real test review...test are the only grades with the exception of a few homework assignments

She was a great teacher, I really enjoyed her class. She knows what she is talking about. seems like she has a lot of personal experience to relate with this subject. tests are pretty easy, study the online quizzes and you should do good. I would take her again if I could.
She is too strict. I felt like I was in 4th grade. She needs to relax and be more helpful to the students. There is a ton of group work. I think that is ridiculous. This class is very boring. This class was the deciding factor in me determining my major...and it wont be business!
I really failed to understand hardly ANYTHING that went on in this class. I like the lady, but she failed to explain things in a way that it was easy to understand. Hard class, definitely.
She is really nice, very intellegent, but it's boring. It's a basic class WHAT DO U EXPECT? The group work is NOT bad. On the tests the questions are taken from the books administered questions, not her own, so it makes it difficult to study for it. The powerpoint slides help dramatically. PRINT THEM! Most of it is common knowledge.

Took Maxwell for Global and lets just say you dont need to book to pass. Gives tons of bonus. Study the online quizes and you will pass the class w/ an A. Dont skip on anything you do for her class. She does check ALL work turned in to her. Class is boring and she is not the most interesting teacher, but it is an easy A!!!!

Ready to go back to Jr. High? You can, with Mrs. Maxwell. No joke, the woman randomly decided to take up the notes we took in class today. Shedidn't even tell us she was going to do it. I dont think she knows one of her students by name. Well, I guess she has her seating chart for that. Easy class, dumb teacher. I think shes anti-American too.
O.K. I got Bs on all the tests, but with the easy presentation and bonus, you can get an A. I barely studied either and got those Bs. Easy A. But I can not stand listening or being in the same room with her. She's very anal, with her seating chart and all of her policies, if you're ready for a super boring class but easy A, then take her.
Her English is a little hard for me to understand, so lecture is a bit hard to follow. But it doesn' t matter because she tells where to study before the quiz, and quizes are based on textbook material. If you study, you can get A. Not an easy A, but good class to take.

Most people don't like her because she demands respect in the class but she is very easy. She tells you what is going to be on the tests the class before then holds a elective study session. Very very easy class.
I'm just going to lay it on the line, this woman is horrible. Don't get me wrong the class is EASY but she is almost unbearable. Whatever you do don't be late or she'll scream at you. Also pray you get into the class that she likes because she loves the class before mine, but hates my class. Go for Horton's class, you'll appreciate it, I promise.
It's an easy class and everyone should be able to make an A. There's a presentation and 4 tests for Global Business. no final. Definitely take this class!
Global had to be one of the easiest classes I've ever taken, not sure why its required for Pre Pharmacy... Exams easy, Attendance Required, share a book with a buddy if you can, only used it for a few projects.
Worst teacher EVER.She has NO knowledge of the subject.She reads power points(that I'm sure she didn't make)that are a summary of the book. She does not expound upon anything.You better be able to teach yourself. A student asked about "how china is buying up US properties" her response to the question "haha isn't that fun"... did not expound at all
Maxwell is horrible. Her "study guides" are very lengthy, and half of it isn't on the test. About one third of the test is not on the study guide. Her class was a waste of my time. I could have been studying for more important classes. Don't go to the bathroom. Don't check your phone. Don't look at your watch. Don't come in late. She's crazy...

Where to even start! Tests are just ridiculous. She can not explain a simple currency ratio question which the whole class did not questioned her. She should not teach this class. If you want to take Global, take someone else.
If you like to learn and be taught by someone who knows what they're talking about, DON'T TAKE HER. She either reads the PowerPoint, talks about things way over her head, or uses examples that have nothing to do with, or are too complicated to be worth listening to. I passed but it was a waste of time. I retained nothing.
MRS (not Dr) Maxwell "teaches" this course not well at all. She just reads the powerpoint during lecture, and can't deviate from that when questioned because she doesn't know anything about the [boring] subject. Her lack of intelligence is almost annoying - she constantly mispronounces simple words, etc. Read the book for tests!!
Worst professor I've ever had. I'm a good student, I always do my work. But she is the most inconsiderate person I've ever met. I would never, ever recommend taking her. Attendance was mandatory, and class was pointless. Extremely hard test, and extremely boring lectures. If you take her, good luck.
WORST EVER! RUN! Test are WAY hard and she doesnt answer the questions that you have before the tests. Goes over things that MIGHT b on the tests and some things arent even on the test so wasted study time. Some extra credit. She is Extremely rude. Hopefully this will not be the only teacher that you can take this class with next semester. It's very annoying, she takes attendance and you lose points after 3 misses. She hates phones and tardiness also. Plus you have to do pointless presentations. Worst class ever! I have a good grade and still hate it immensely!

you havent had a hard teacher unless you have had Maxwell. She only gives 3 test in the year and the reviews she gives are pointless. the notes that she gives are pointless because the notes you write are just the titles for paragraphs in the txtbook. She tends to be rude sometimes as well. if you can avoid, i recommend that you do
Very thorough teacher - Be prepared to take lots of notes! Though lectures/review sessions are very intimidating, the tests are straightforward if you know the information. I've never gone through an entire textbook until now. Be cautioned for info-overload. BUT she is nice, just doesn't like you to act immature or irresponsible. Duh.
Easy A. Tells you exactly what's on exams. Most info on PP - print them. If you will be late/absent, let her know in advance and you can sit in on other class times. Every class is different regarding presentation - some group, some individual. Most business classes have them, so get used to it. Interesting class, but I like economics.
Read the Textbook and study the PowerPoint slides. Class lectures are pointless and unhelpful but attendance is mandatory. Terrible class.
I read these reviews for Maxwell before I came to college...and I gave her the benefit of the doubt. DON'T. She lectures in question form, and never answers them. There is NO reason to come to class, except for attendance of course. I have learned nothing. I have no motivation to study for the tests, so I don't. Stay away from this class.
The comments here saying that Maxwell is difficult were probably written by people who don't study. Test questions are generally word for word out of the book. I just read the chapters and made over 100% on her tests. She is extremely boring, and her power points do not prepare you for tests. Bring a laptop and try to stay awake during lectures.
Her power points are useless along with her reviews. vocab is on test usually along with information she doesnt thoroughly go over.
TAKE HER! Attendance is taken. She goes over the ppts that are online but also adds in very interesting real-life stories. Know the vocab and read through the book; it's interesting. Tests are super easy. She tells you in-depth what will be on each test. Very fair teacher. I'd take her again.

ALWAYS be on time and show up. She expects you to pay attention. Offers you bonus opportunities, a list of what you need to know for the test, and definitely tries her hardest to teach us what we need to pass. I attempted to pay attention in class, read the summary of each ch. and all vocab for the test the night before and got an A on every test.
This class is horrible! If you are taking this as a GenEd class AVOID at all cost! Her tests are extremely hard! All she does is read straight from the powerpoints in class! Half of the class would fall asleep. Do NOT attempt to even think about texting in her class or she will point you out in front of everyone. HORRIBLE class!
Her class is very structured and she is anal about a lot of things. Do not show up late or she will scold you, don't have your phone out, and don't leave in the middle of class or she will yell at you. It's a very easy class. Four tests all multiple choice and a presentation worth 50 points (1-2 minutes). Take her, she is very easy.
WORST PROFESSOR AT UCA. I have a professional job and am attending UCA FT. Maxwell was not helpful. She spoke poorly, was unprofessional about assignments and attendance. She goes back on what she originally said. Changed assignments after being given. And expects respect although she treated you like a dog. If you want to learn, DO NOT TAKE HER.
Very nervous teacher. She's strict, passive aggressive, and bipolar. She gives you everything that's on the test in the class period beforehand but nothing that she goes over in class in helpful in any way at all. There might just be something wrong with her voice but she sounds like she's constantly on the verge of crying.
She's not the greatest as a professor. She always sounds nervous and is very rude if someone comes in late or walks out for any reason. She will give out extra assignments before the test and extra credit opportunities but the stuff in class isn't very helpful. The material itself is cool though. I would recommend someone else or take it online.

She puts so much emphasis on taking notes in class, yet she flies through them while she basically just reads off of the power point. Real revolutionary teaching method there, Maxwell. Don't. Take. Lectures are boring. Textbook with code for weekly quizzes are mandatory to pass. Quizzes are easy. Study guide will be a list of things that she will announce in class, so you'll have to write them down and search your book andor notes for the answers. Exams are the study guide questions. Plenty of time is giving for the projects. DON'T BE LATE.

I took her for Global Environment of Business. I liked what I read in the book, I just thought it was not taught very well. The class is easy, but attendance is mandatory. She gives a lot of opportunities for extra credit! On the upside she tells you everything that's going to be on test, so just study that, maps, and powerpoint quizzes.
She was boring, read straight off the PowerPoint that you can download so you don't really have to pay attention, as long as you read and do the online quizzes. She sounds like shes nervous and about to have a breakdown when she speaks. She gives a lot of extra credit opportunities.
A very good professor! You need the textbook to finish homework. Midterms can be difficult. But you will get good grades if you do homework for every class. Final is easy. Take good notes!
Super boring and not interesting. Not a good teacher. You have to do your online homework and you have study for test. My class got her as a last resort because Dr. Horton passed away. I would have never signed up to be in her class.

One of the hardest teachers I have had at UCA. You barely have enough time to finish her tests (55 multiple choice questions) but they are long questions and even longer answers. Her lectures rarely make sense, and she loves to ask the class questions, and expects us to know everything about global marketing. Take her online class instead.
OK for the tests all you have to do is read the chapter summaries, and look over power points, msu and the book ones. She also gives you a study guide of mostly definitions so just be sure to know those. Plus 30 points added on tests for extra credit. Class is pointless but I got a lot of other homework done in this class, so that was good lol
She reads straight off of the powerpoints. All of her lectures make you want to take a nap. Maxwell won't even let you get up and go to the bathroom (true story). The only good thing is that she gives big bonus points at the end of the semester to whoever is willing to go to a bunch of events.
If you study the MSU powerpoints and the study guide she gives you the class before the test you'll do okay. You should be able to pass if you try, but it is a horrible class.
She is very unclear about when due dates are. Her syllabus and the online schedule are completely different. She forgets to mention assignments and then expects them to be turned in on time. Would not recommend.
She wasn't helpful at all. All tests for online classes are taken on a recorded webcam. I reached out to her a number of times expressing my fear of failing her class and wanted to drop to save my GPA. She assured me that I would pass. You can imagine the heart attack I had when I seen the first F of my college career on my transcript. DONT DO IT!!
NO NO NO NO. Maxwell will put you to sleep, she is NO help, she is not very nice (yells at students when they have to get up to use the bathroom). Luckily, you can skip class almost everyday and pass with flying colors. Lots of homework and she really just sits there, mumbles about economics and various countries, and wastes your time. Do not take.
This is an easy class if you read the material. Mrs. Maxwell is not helpful. She spends more time policing the class on cell phone and computer use than she does teaching the class. If you try, you can pass but be prepared for a long boring semester.
Ton of online reading and quizzes for homework. The lectures pretty much regurgitate the reading assignments, which lead to long and boring lectures. Tests are not bad if you study, but the class average on the first test was 68! Be careful how you address her or she will jump you! No cell phones in class!
One of the worst professors I have taken. I was taking a global enviorment of business class and she talked to us as if we were children and couldn't understand common sense. Her style reminds me of how bad corporations in movies expect their employees to work. She's teaching students to not think independently just conventionally, nothing to learn
Spends more time nagging at students. I learn more from using the connect assignments online. Rambles all class. Lectures are brutal. You'll pass if you do the reading on your own. Fail if you don't show up.
The weekly assignments she gives on McGraw Hill Learning are on average about 60 questions. It also gets very frustrating when you have to do them every single week. Do about 10 or 20 questions a day and you should be good. But your grade will just consist of these assignments, 4 exams, and a group presentation.

Took this as an 8 week online course, and it was HARD. Primarily because it the textbook is interactive, and it takes 45 minutes to an hour to finish a single chapter. Some weeks, we had 4 chapters to do along with their respective quizzes. More of a workload than my other 3 classes combined. Do all of the work and youll be fine but expect to work.

Important to go to class on time and stay off your phone. Homework assignment due every Sunday, which takes about an hour to complete. Her lectures can be boring to sit through. Syllabus lays out plan of action for semester and what the test will cover. Read the chapters, listen to her lecture, do the homework, and other items in syllabus.

Shes a great professor. Her tests are super easy as long as you go through the MSU PowerPoints attached to the syllabus and look over your notes. She wont tolerate students being late, sleeping during class, or playing on their phones. If you respect her during your time in class and take notes you should pass easily.
Maxwell is a smart woman but insanely boring. Her lectures are painful to sit through, she does not even try to make it fun. If you're late to her class, she will call you out and might even kick you out of class!! Tests aren't too bad, you just have to read a lot and complete the powerpoints. If you have to take this class, take it with another teacher. The class itself is not hard, but Dr. Maxwell reads straight off the PowerPoints and do not explain concepts clearly. Also, she can be rude at times and kicks you out of class for petty reasons. Do not come to class if you are a few minutes left.
