Lauren Mitchel is an amazing lecturer. The class is very test heavy (There are four major tests which make up 80% of your grade) but she provides ample resources to prepare for them. There are often quizzes in class that go over the weekly homework (which take about 30 mins to complete if you took notes). Hope this helps
She's really nice and explains things very well. Also she does these fun experiment demonstrations every lecture to display the concepts
Would not take this class again, she fly's through topics so fast and she doesn't explain them well as well. Exams have had really tricky questions that got barely touched on lectures so far.
Assignments and exams often felt confusing, and feedback was minimal, which made it tough to improve. Office hours didn't offer much clarity, either. Overall, the class didn't feel very supportive or accessible.
Dr. Mitchell does a great job of explaining concepts during lectures and incorporating fun demonstrations into her classes. Homework is easy, and quizzes aren't too bad, except they can be tricky occasionally. This class is extremely test-heavy, so make sure you're prepared for exams. Overall, this class was enjoyable and had minimal stress.
Lecture/test heavy class that leaves you self teaching yourself due to the pace she goes. I wouldn't recommend her unless you already have a strong foundation in chemistry.
I wouldn't recommend this professor. The lectures were rushed, and explanations left me more confused. They weren't open to questions, and the exams were much harder than the practice problems. It felt like we were expected to know things we never covered. Overall, I didn't feel supported.
I've really enjoyed Dr. Mitchell's class. She gives a ton of practice questions and a full-length practice exam prior to each midterm which really helps. You get three attempts on each HW. The weekly quizzes can be annoying, but they're a small fraction of your final grade, so they don't matter much. Chem is hard, but I really recommend her class!
Dr. Mitchell is absolutely amazing!! While her classes are lecture-heavy, she goes at a reasonable pace. Homework (given 3 attempts) and quizzes are every week and easy as long as you do a quick review and pay attention during the lectures. Dr. Mitchell always asks if anyone has questions and is caring towards her students. Definitely recommend!
Amazing professor would recommend taking! Lectures are clear for the most part, although it can be too much at times, so attend office hours. Relates some concepts to real life situations, which helps a lot. Weekly homework but you get 3 attempts at it, and weekly quizzes. Lowest 3 homework and 2 quiz grades are dropped. Calculators are allowed.
Dr. Mitchell is a great lecturer and this class is extremely organized. There are 9 quizzes, 2 are dropped, 4 exams weighted highly, and weekly homeworks that are free 100s (3 attempts). There is also extra credit offered throughout the semester. For the final, you can retake 2 of your lowest exams. Estimate ~1-2 hrs a week of work.
Really heavy on the lectures that can be very disengaging. The class grade is very test heavy and the test are nothing like the practice exams, review, or review videos. I studied for more than 6 hours a week and did tutoring on the side. Nothing really helped and every lecture was still confusing because she flies through the topics.
Dr.Mitchell is an incredible professor and I plan on taking her class next semester. While the tests make up 80% of the grade, I felt more than prepared for them due to the resources provided in canvas. Lectures can feel rushed, but she always asks if anyone has questions and will slow down if she needs to. Highly recommend!
If you study the study guides, do the practice problems and practice test, you can definitely get an A. She lectures as if you forgot all of chemistry so if you haven't taken chem in a while, this prof is perfect. She does cool in-person experiments and gives a ton of extra credit. You can RETAKE any and every midterm at the end of the semester.
Her class is hard but manageable, definitely take advantage of all the resources provided to study for tests and quizzes and you should be fine. If you screw up a midterm, you can always take it again as a final
I love her! You have to be willing to put in the work, but if you do it is super easy to get an A. There are SO SO SO many resources, a million chances to get help and a ton of practice opportunities to get better. It is test heavy, 80%, but honestly the tests were not half bad. The practice exams are very similar to the test.
CH301 with Mitchell is very doable. If you took AP Chem, you're definitely fine. She hand-writes notes instead of slides which I liked. Hardest part: the quizzes every week, 3-4 questions. Exams are similar to practice and the study guides are helpful. Reasonable class and no reason to struggle if you put in the work. Taking her again for CH302.
Her teaching style is very lecture heavy but utilize the study guides outside of class. If you work hard and review plenty, you'll be fine :)
there was weekly homework and in-class quizzes that was easily doable. 80% of your grade is from midterms, but there are so many resources that prepare you. there are also extra credit opportunities. overall, dr. mitchell was a great prof, highly recommend, just dont fall behind
don't listen to other reviews. took this class w BARELY any chem background and now leaving w a 101.4. dr. mitchell was amazing and her lectures were great, but they're summaries, so put the work in after class to understand in depth, and everything will be fine. prac exam is like exam, the hw has 3 attempts, & gives bonus points and drops grades.
I loved this class. Mitchell writes notes during lecture to teach and lectures are easy to understand. So many resources for tests-only tricky thing was quizzes because they're so short, but they're worth small amt. of final grade. Barely any hw and 3 attempts so easy 100. Also 3% extra credit and can retake up to 2 exams. She is so sweet take her!
I love her! There is so much extra credit esp towards the end of the semester, and if you do all the assigned work and use the resources she gives to study for exams (esp study guides), you'll get an A.
Her class was very fast-paced, and I often struggled just to keep up with writing the notes, which made it difficult to process the information being taught. Despite spending countless hours studying outside of class each week, I still received poor grades on the tests. She was nice, but the class was just very difficult.
Love her!!!
Mitchell is AMAZING! Her lecturing style is super easy to follow, and HW and weekly quizzes are great for keeping you on track studying. Tests aren't curved but are very fair and true to review notes. She loves answering questions and always does cool demos :) There are no powerpoints so either go to class or watch recorded lectures.
Mitchell was an amazing prof and I recommend her to everyone. I took CH301 with basically no chem knowledge since I didnt take AP. She explained everything so clearly, would often pause to ask if anyone had questions and answered them all. SO many resources available like study guides and practice tests. Beneficial weekly HW and quizzes with drops.
Dr. Mitchell's lectures were AMAZING and so easy to follow, especially with how clearly she explained things (use an iPad or paper/pencil for notes, not a laptop). The tests (80% of your grade) are each 25 questions, and Dr. Mitchell releases a study guide for each type of the 25 questions. Study those, and you'll be fine!
Best Chem professor at UT for Intro Chem. Clear grading and actually knows how to teach, unlike a lot of other professors. You can even retake two exams from 4 unit exams. Also bonus is there is no finals!!! Overall, her tests can be a bit hard, but just go to lecture, pay attention, review practice test and questions and you can get an A
Professor Mitchell is AMAZING. 100% recommend taking her if possible. She is very clear about grading and provides lots of resources to help students succeed. She also lets you replace 2 out of the 4 exams during final weeks! Content is not particularly hard- just study the resources provided and you're pretty much guaranteed an A!
Great lectures and in-class demos; you can tell Dr. Mitchell loves chem. Easy to succeed in this class as long as you do the homework, watch/attend the lectures, take notes, and use review materials. Test-heavy, but you can retake two. Classes are big, and questions not relevant to the test aren't explored, but that's expected in a gen chem class.
Dr. Mitchell is a truly caring professor. She is attentive, easy to talk to, and a great lecturer. In terms of the course itself, four midterm exams make up a large percentage of your grade. However, these exams are generally quite easy and not too in-depth, you can also retake up to two exams at the end of the semester.
Dr. Mitchell's lectures were well-paced, though be sure to bring something you can draw with/on to take notes as she'll draw in her lectures frequently. She offered multiple extra-credit opportunities as well. Overall great professor and taking her again for CH 302 for sure!
The lectures were amazing and super helpful along with comprehensive study guides for each unit. You're given three attempts on each homework, have practice tests, and as the final, you get to retake 2/4 midterms as replacement grades. The hardest part of the class was the weekly quizzes, which you can use the study guides to study for.
Dr. Mitchell is a great teacher. Sometimes she overcomplicates a few concepts, but for the most part she is very easy to understand. Very clear communication on what will be on the exam and how to study. Easy class to make an A in if you just pay attention and do the homework.
Professor Mitchell is amazing! There are comprehensive study guides that are really helpful to use for studying for quizzes and exams. The tests were not bad at all, as long as you do the practice exams and practice problems given you will be fine. The only thing that was "hard" were the weekly quizzes but other than that this class was super fun!
Dr. Mitchell is great! Lectures are straight to the point, and she does a great job of explaining concepts. She played clips of Breaking Bad and other examples to make the class more relatable and engaging. Weekly quizzes were not my favorite. Study a little each week for them and you will be fine. Plenty of resources to study to do well on tests.
Dr. Mitchell was the best professor I had my first semester! She is knowledgeable and teaches the subjects well for us to remember and learn. I enjoyed how she did notes alongside her students so then it forced the students to participate and do scenarios with her. Though her lectures are a bit fast, her class was the most manageable course I took.
Super engaging lectures; it's chemistry it's hard but Dr. Mitchell is super kind and helpful. Highly recommend! Taking her again for 302
I was supposed to have Professor Biberdorf and was initially disappointed when she left, however, having Dr. Mitchell as my teacher was one of the best things to happen this semester. She truly understands what it's like to be a freshman and for everything to be difficult. She provides an immense amount of extra practice and extra credit.
Fast paced lectures where most learned is done outside of class by reteaching the material to yourself. Though I do respect Dr. Mitchell, this class is very demanding on you being able to understand the material straight away. Especially when in a 500 person class! Still learned a bunch! However it is a very different teaching style!
The instructor checks for understanding throughout the lecture with poll questions, which counts for attendance. There are so many practice questions available for studying for the exams. You do have to teach yourself a bit, but office hours are super helpful; utilize them! Overall, the instructor is super approachable and helpful.
Mitchell had great lectures with frequent poll questions as well as making sure that all questions were answered before moving on to different topics. The class itself was very test heavy with exams being worth 80% and hw+ weekly quizzes+ extra things 20%, but before every test (25 mcq for 1hr 15 min) there was a review session. rlly great!
Dr. Mitchell gives STEM baddie, she's a good lecturer and very transparent when it comes to due dates and preparing for what exactly will be on exams. You have the opportunity to retake 2 exams for full credit, and she gives a generous amount of extra credit and dropped classes. UT did their big one by hiring her, looking forward to CH302 with her!
If you did well in a HS chem class, Mitchell is the easiest. All info covered in lecture, no HW learning modules like other profs. 10-20 qs weekly HWs, practice tests similar to real, quizzes are 4-5 qs, attendance through InstaPoll - need 30 points, 1-3 given per class. Extra cred opportunities at end. Lots of review/office hours if you need it
Decent professor; was kind of hard to get to know her personally. Exam criteria was clear enough, and you have the ability to redo up to 2 exams with the new CH301 program. Lectures are recorded, so do recognize that is an option if you are unable to attend all lectures. Take notes as given and don't be afraid to do supplemental material.
Four exams makeup 80% of your grade. You can retake two of those exams. Her lectures are very interesting but fast paced, but the online lecture captures are extremely useful if you miss anything. The instapolls are a pain if you're not at the lecture. just make some friends there, and you should be fine
Test heavy, but that's how all chem classes are. You aren't required to do learning modules like other courses, and you are allowed a calculator. Overall a simple but good class.
Dr. Mitchell is the best general chemistry professor that you can take. She is an amazing lecturer while giving lots of extra credit. Make sure to study all of the topic review slides in Canvas as the quizzes and tests are based around the examples!
Since Chem 301 is standardized for all courses, it really shouldn't be different if you have different professors, but I really think that if you can you should take Dr Mitchell's class. Her lectures are really helpful and genuinely make you learn so much. As someone who had no background in chem I honestly think she's the best prof to learn from.
Any issues or complaints you would have would mostly be up to the class itself and not the professor. I didn't really remember any chemistry from high school, but I was able to do well. The lectures are fast paced, but great. With the practice exams on canvas, you can definitely do well on exams.
Mitchell's is amazing! Her lectures were concise + recorded in case of absence. There are also lots of resources for quizzes and tests! However, I'm in CH302 now and she's started using the homework platform, ALEKS. It's TERRIBLE- doesn't help with learning and will count answers wrong if there's no decimal point/incorrect capitalization of units.
I'm taking CH302 now with another professor and definitely took Mitchell for granted. Mitchell is a great teacher and explains every little detail well. She truly knows how to teach chemistry unlike my professor now.
I loved Professor Mitchell! Her lectures were easy to follow, and she wrote her notes alongside the students, so the class went at an easy pace. Attendance isn't mandatory because she posts them, but I would def still go because you'll pay more attention. Look at the review one pagers and do the practice tests and you'll do fine.
She is very good at explaining the concepts and she writes out the notes during class so she doesn't move too fast. She is also very clear about what is expected from students and there isn't anything unnecessary in her class. The homework and lectures are all very helpful. I highly recommend taking CH301 and CH302 with her.
During the Lecture, she writes all notes on the screen relating to what's relevant to the quizzes and tests which is very generous. She has all of the important notes listed on Canvas so you can study, as well as many practice questions and tests. The test is 80% of your grade, but she provides plenty of study material. She also records lectures.
She is amazing and a very good teacher. constantly stops and asks if we have questions. I dont feel nervous to go speak to her and she is very available to her students even though it is around a 200-300 lecture. she is a queen
I have had mitchell for 301 and 302. She prepares us for the tests a week before the test so we have time to study by taking the practice exams and practice questions that she uploads. I have never talked to her but i love her and she is a smart icon. I never needed to go to the review sessions because she taught so well in lecture.
This review is for CHEM302. She's great at explaining stuff, and she provides a lot of review material for exams. She doesn't give you PowerPoints to write on because it isn't as effective for learning, but it's helpful, at least for me. Exams are easy if you study.
Clear grading scheme, good lectures, opportunity to retake 2 out of 4 exams instead of a final (exams are weighted at 80%). Had her for both CH301 and CH302, nothing negative to say, she was awesome!
For CH302. Literally the best professor in the entire gen chem department. Once you answer 30 instapoll questions then you literally dont even have to show up anymore. Homework is on ALEKS and its a hit or miss. Weekly quizzes are aight. Not flipped
I decided to take Mitchell for CH302 and she was great! She is a bit fast paced when it comes to lecturing but she is sweet and always makes sure to address any questions the class has. There is two replacement exams instead of a final and she gives up to 30 extra credit points. She also gave us ice cream as an end of the year reward!
Took Mitchell for both CH301 and CH302 and she's goated. To get an A+ ur gonna have to study a bit outside of class but she lectures really well and she hosts office hours which are really helpful. HIGHLY recommend taking her!
if you want to actually learn take laude and get a easy A, and also only morning classes and TAs are useless
She's the best, took her for 301 and 302. Only lectures (Instapolls but once you hit 30 it doesn't matter), quizzes (weighted so little they don't effect you and she drops some), and Exams which are weighted heavy. So easy to get a 100 on the exam if you just look at her review notes. Out of all 8 exams for 301 and 302, I got a 100 on 7 of them.
I took Dr. Mitchell for both 301 and 302! She is awesome and I love her lecture style. The class is very organized and manageable.
Great teacher, almost as good if not better than Laude with her lectures (very visual and she draws out lots of diagrams to explain the processes). Tests are fair, and you can redo two of them even if you mess up at the end of the semester. She's very nice, I liked her homemade ice cream she gave out at the end of the year. Test are 80% of average.
Dr. Mitchell is an amazing professor with lots of knowledge about chemistry! Her tests were average and you can retake up to two at the end of the year to boost your grade. I got to know her really well in office hours and by asking questions during and after class, which helped me have a good relationship with her and end with a great grade.
Your grade is 80% exams, but you can retake any 2 of them for a final and replace your grade with the higher score. The exams are really not that hard either. Pay attention in lecture, review HW before quizzes, and understand the review notes. Easy A if you put in the effort.
Professor Mitchell was really good at explaining topics! All of CH301 and CH302 are the same format so you'll likely get the same experience with every professor. Make sure to review the review notes, practice exam, and lectures and you'll be totally okay for the class (I did not take AP Chem).
After a horrible fall semester with a different professor, Dr. Mitchell was a breath of fresh air. Her lectures are excellent and genuinely interesting at times. This course is the same as all other genchem classes: graded mostly by exams, but questions are very reasonable and you can retake them at the end of the semester. Overall great professor!
Dr. Mitchell is great! Ch 302 is objectively somewhat difficult, but she does a great job explaining and is very open to questions. Tests are very fair and if you study and look at the review notes/ practice test, you'll do fine! She's very sweet and even gave us ice cream the last day of class! Would definitely recommend :)
I had Mitchell for 301 and 302 for her first year at UT. She's definitely a good lecturer and can be very thorough. She offers many opportunities for questions during class and answers them very well. I would recommend using this to your advantage and asking all the questions that you can. Definitely should take her!
Mitchell is such a sweet professor, and she makes CH302 so easy to learn! The only thing is that the quizzes can get a little difficult as they are made by the chem department not her, so the lectures don't fully match up with them. However, she still drops three of them and offers lots of extra credit, so its worth it. Study the QT for tests!
I had Dr. Mitchell for CH301 as well and I loved her lecture style since she didn't speed through any material and frequently asked for questions. Had a good experience in this class despite not taking AP chem in HS, never felt like I was far behind. Take advantage of all the study modules, practice exams, and extra credit!
easy class. they bail u out since u can retake 2 of the 4 midterms for up to a 100. i took her for ch 301 and 302; never had to retake one. had a 100 n a 99 in a class for ch 301 and 302, respectively. extremely easy. if u don't get an a, i don't know what to tell u: u have every chance in the world to get one.
Mitchell is so sweet and has very comforting calm energy, which was great since I took her 8:00am. She really cares for her students and is so cute. She covers basically everything you need to know in lecture, but it is def your job to study the question types thoroughly to make sure you know absolutely everything.
I LOVE DR. MITCHELL. took 301 in fall '24. the structure of this class was so organized. she's a great lecturer. 4 exams, can retake up to 2, no final. lots of resources and practice exams/problems were great for prepping for tests. LOOK @ STUDY GUIDES. great class & great prof, would recommend!
loooove dr mitchell. the class is essentially ap chemistry but she has such a clear passion for the subject i didnt even care. had her at 8 am and still managed to pay attention to the lectures. the best part of this class is the learning objectives she provides for each exam that go over exactly what you need to know. makes studying way easier
Mitchell was wonderful! Got an A in CH301 & A- in CH302. Tests are pretty easy, 25 question MC. 2 retakes. Good amount of extra credit. She offers a lot of practice materials & she's very kind and helpful in office hours. You'll leave her class feeling like you have a good understanding of gen chem.
While she's a alright teacher, I would really recommend against taking her. She really speeds through her lectures, and make sure to study every single thing literally, as she will put emphasis on other topics and question types during lecture and homework, and half of the 25 questions are on topics we barley covered. No review lectures either.
I wouldn't take her class if you are trying to get a A and learn more about chemistry. You will come away learning surface level material, from lecture and weekly quizzes, then be tested on very niche question types during exams. Often nothing like practice exams, though the review questions are somewhat helpful. Laude all the way, trust me
I had mitchell for gen 1 + 2, and I love her teaching method. Her lectures are follow along notes as she does them herself to ensure students are paying attention to the material as well. She has lots of extra credits. The quizzes are a little fast paced but easy if you understand the topic and she drops 3. Lots of practice on canvas for exams.
I love Dr Mitchell! I took her both semesters and she made chem so light. Lots of extra credit is given and many resources prepare you for success on midterms such as comprehensive review notes, learning modules, and practice exams. I also liked how she did notes in class it really helped me retain and learn the information needed for the exams.
I took her for CH301 and CH302 and she organizes these classes very well. She provides lots of resources for studying. She is very approachable. I recommend.
provides a lot of resources to succeed in class and genuinely wants everyone to do their best
Genuinely an amazing professor. Dr. Mitchell is a great lecturer and very accessible. She's approachable as well and always kind when answering questions. I wish I could take her for every Chemistry class ever.
Class is structured the exact same as CH301 with 4 exams and hw on ALEKS but the material is definitely a lot more complicated so don't take it too lightly in the beginning. Mitchell had good lectures even though I never went usually and just self learned the material with the learning modules. Definitely better than most chemistry professors here.
Genuinely no complaints about this professor. Super kind and the lectures were easy to follow. Additionally, the coursework was very strategically laid out and it was hard not to learn from her. She's the one!
Mitchell is an amazing professor. Her lectures are very straightforward with many practice problems that you work together that correlate directly with the exam. She offers lots of extra credit/recources and is the sweetest.
Dr. Mitchell is a wonderful professor. Her lectures are concise and greatly help in understanding the content we need to know. At the end of every lecture, there is a quiz testing content and allowing you to learn the content over time making you more prepared for the test. There is EC and you can access lecture videos from home.
I love Professor Mitchell!! Lectures were always clear and full of useful information. She offers generous extra credit opportunities & so many resources to prepare for exams. There are quizzes at the end of each class covering material from the previous lecture, but she drops some of them. The class is definitely easy if you've taken ap chem!
Professor Mitchell is a great lecturer and class is clearly structured. She has interesting demos during most classes and clearly cares a lot for her students, providing frequent reminders of upcoming events indirectly/directly relevant to class so students are informed. The exams and quizzes are easy, with dropped quizzes and retakes on exams
loved mitchell. we had quizzes every class but the topics were well taught so they weren't too hard. Im taking her again next semester
Amazing professor. In class demonstrations are so fun, speaks slowly and clearly and has super easy-to-follow lectures. She always gives opportunities to ask questions (even dumb ones) and answers them with comprehensive answers. The QT and practice questions on Canvas help a lot. There's little room for mistakes to get an A, no curve, some EC.
Professor Mitchell is an amazing lecturer and explains the topics very well. After each lecture, there is a quiz on the last lecture's topics. She does drop a few quizzez and gives multiple extra credits. The class is very test-heavy, but it can be easily passed with the materials she gives us. I highly recommend her, and she is very approachable.
Excellent at explaining topics clearly and clarifies confusing points. Course is 80% exams, so prepare for those! There was a 10 min quiz at the end of almost every lecture (2 per week). Lots of extra credit. Ed discussion board, very organized and extensive canvas resources, and Sage AI tutor bot help with studying A LOT.
Professor Mitchell is a great lecturer and very communicative from the beginning about what to expect from her course. There are two quizzes a week over what was covered in the previous lecture, and four exams which make up most of your grade. Plenty of extra credit opportunities and the ability to retake two exams make it very easy to succeed.
Dr. Mitchell's genchem1 is lecture-heavy but she explains concepts well and opens the floor to questions very often. Pop quizzes are frequent, but as long as you do the review before and understand the concept through doing examples, you'll be okay, same goes for exams. Practice x3. She's such a caring person as well and an all around great person.
There's two lectures a week and a short quiz each lecture. Study guides in this class help you with literally everything. Extra credit opportunities everywhere, and you can re-take 2 midterms at the end of the semester. Very helpful and kind professor.
Was super scared going in for chem but explains everything well with good pacing. Discusses resources and dates at the beginning of class knowing the class is mainly freshman. Learning modules and quizzes every class but drops some and there's a variety of extra credit opportunities. Also you can retake 2 exams up to 100%.
I love Dr. Mitchell!! She is a fantastic lecturer, and she explains everything so clearly. She teaches you exactly what will be on the exams. 5-question quizzes taken in class every day, lowest few are dropped. Practice exams are very similar to the real exams. Up to 3% extra credit offered. Taking her for 302 next sem, genuinely enjoyed her class.
She's the best professor I've ever had. It's obvious that she genuinely cares for her students and makes sure that they're following along during lecture. She outlines every type of question that you could see on the exam so that you're not blindsided. Homework is very manageable. Quizzes every class, but they truly help you prepare for exams.
Great lectures! Professor Mitchell is also easy to get to know! She always takes the time to motivate students about their grade. There is an abundance of extra credit available at all times. She begins every class by playing music. She gives quizzes every class, which tend to be pretty easy if you study lecture notes. 100% the best gen chem class.
I love Dr. Mitchell :) She explains everything in detail during the lecture and is very caring during office hours. Also, the class felt personalized even though there were over 500 people in this class, and even though there was a quiz each class, it made me feel more prepared when the test came around compared to other classes!
Dr. Mitchell is an amazing professor; I absolutely recommend for gen chem! Her lectures are very clear and she provides follow-along notes with practice problems. Offers a ton of extra credit throughout the semester and has SO many resources for exam prep. I was scared to take chemistry before coming here but I'm so glad I had her as my professor.
if u are scared about gen chem, dont be!! Professor Mitchell is literally the best. The exams are exactly like the practice ones that she provides you can also RETAKE exams if you did bad on them during finals week (which means there isnt a final!!). SHES SO SO SO GOOD HIGHLY RECCOMEND! so much extra credit too (ended the class with a 101%)
My favorite Professor so far! She was an amazing lecturer. Best thing about her course was that it was so easy to understand what the exams and quizzes would be over, and she gave out excellent study materials. Your success in this course depends on if you put in the effort to do well, but she doesn't make it difficult or tedious to do so. 10/10
If you are not great with quizzes (one every class), her course might not be for you. However, there are many extra credit opportunities available and lots of studying resources. She seems nice as well. However, she has incorrectly solved some problems on lectures and has incorrect answers on quizzes, putting her course credibility in question.
Take Dr. Mitchell! Her lectures are easy to follow, and she provides practice exams that closely match the real ones. She offers plenty of extra credit and a wide variety of study materials that reflect actual quiz/test questions. There is a quiz every class, but it's manageable if you keep up with studying. She is very kind and supportive.
Mitchell's class is organized and she responds to emails very quickly. The class has exam retakes but I wouldn't depend on them. I had to retake two tests in two hours and only miss two questions for an A at the end. The retake policy can enable procrastination. The quizzes really matter in the end by making the difference between an A- and B+.
Truly caring professor and the structure of the class is beyond amazing. If you don't like quizzes, maybe reconsider, but some get dropped and I felt they were very helpful for checking comprehension throughout the unit! Just do the learning modules and halfway study for the quizzes (unit study guides were lifesavers) and you'll be fine.
