She's great and she will help you get an A. She picks great topics and is always nice. If you fail it's on you.

During my time in Dr. Navarro's class we focused on the subject matter of food, more specifically GMOs. There was a lot of reading in the class, alas it wasn't back breaking. She was readily available after class for advice andor help, and she's pretty cute too.

Dr. Navarro is great! She tries really hard to make class fun. We covered food food issues- assignments included readings for every class (which she put together and e-mailed), in-class group work, 3 papers, 1 presentation, and in-class essay final. Asked us to buy a book we never really used it. She's willing to work with you if you talk to her.

Dr. Navarro, is a excellent professor. Very kind, understanding and an helpful person. I took her class during Fall 2014 session, which was her first semester at lagcc. However, her teaching method were very helpful, like she had been professor for many years. Also she is very cute.

If you leave this class early on as many do, then you are wasting your time. Take the class and you will receive your credit. That is easy.

Other than Dr. Navarro being an amazing teacher, this class serves to teach students how to effectively use the skills learned during the whole course in a final paper. Her class keeps you motivated and busy and it's a class one wouldn't want to miss.

She was nice and the topic was interesting. She made us write a lot but it is worth it. You should finish your reading before class and submit assighments on time but if you do what you have to do, you will pass.

Professor Navarro is the best ENG 101 teacher at LAGCC. As long as you do your work and do the readings you will get an A. She gives you chances to re-do papers if she sees you did bad on it. She's funny and always there for you. The class will be fun I assure you that and you won't regret taking her class.

This professor is amazing I will definitely be taking her again in the Spring for ENG 102. She gives very good feedback and she wants everyone to do well. She gives a couple easy extra credit. Also she lets you fix your work to get a higher grade. Absolutely amazing. :)

Excellent professor! Dr. Navarro assigns papers and gives you plenty of opportunities to edit your work. Do the readings, participate, and this class should be easy enough. She is a caring professor and wants you to do well. Had her for ENG 101 and 102, really great for both!

Incorporates RELEVANT group activities into lectures. Writes exactly what you need to know on white board. When she grades your essay she lets you know where and why you lost points. Gives you the opportunity to fix your essays. If you do what she asks you to do then you will do great in the class. Plus she's pretty to look at, chilled and funny.

Very amazing professor, she gives feedback on essays and allows for corrections for a better grade. Just keep up to date with her readings and it smooth sailing from there. She is very caring and sweet. She does keep the class interactive with group work and her lectures are fun. Would highly recommend .

I recommend this professor to anyone, took two of her classes myself. She is super clear with instructions/expectations and gives opportunities to revise work. If you ever have an issue just talk to her about it, she is caring and understanding. Truly has each and every students best interest in mind. Plus books she uses arent expensive!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I had her for ENG101 and ENG102 and she is just an absolute gem. She allows revisions on papers less than a B, is always available to discuss any issues you may have, gives great feedback on all of your written work, and gives plenty of extra credit. Such a sweet, understanding, hilarious professor. She knows her stuff and she truly cares about her students as individuals, their passing grade, and that they remain interested. She is however, VERY disorganized and scattered. Get ready to try and keep track of assignments yourself and decipher her all over the place directions.

Dr. Navarro is a great professor. I had her for both ENG 101 & ENG 102. She really goes out of her way to help you. You're allowed to revise any paper that you get a C+ or worse on, and she gives a lot of extra credit. Also she's just a very friendly person who makes the class fun.

She spends a lot of time with the students, she created awesome video lectures for us when we had to go online because of covid. Take her class, you will not regret, she is awesome.

I had an online class with Dr. N and she was awesome. She took a lot of extra time to help explain things to us and even when kids asked the same question over and over she was super patient. I love her--she was my favorite prof last semester.

I had a tough time last semester but Dr. N helped me pull it out in the end. If it wasn't for her kindness and understanding I wouldn't have made it. She really listened to me when I was struggling with personal issues during COVID and helped me to get through the class.

This class had interesting readings. We read The Awakening, a short novel that I liked. It was legit the only class I liked reading for. Dr. N was really sweet and went out of her way to make the semester easier for us.

This class was a breeze. It made my semester fun and helped me in my other classes. Dr. N was super nice and she was always available to help you if you needed it! I wish she was teaching 102 this sem.

I had Dr. N for 245. Almost everyone I knew in this class who put in a little effort and turned stuff in got an A or B. She was super clear with instructions and spent extra hours on zoom with us to help us out. She even helped me pick future classes and with questions I had about transfer. Love her.

I loved this class with Dr. N. I absolutely enjoyed the book Soledad by Angie Cruz about a young Dominican girl growing up in NYC. Take Dr. N she makes things fun and is always available to talk to you and help you. You wont regret it!!!!

I had Prof. Navarro for ENA101. Her lessons were super clear and she taught us how to write a research paper. I can truly say the class helped me out a lot.

I had Dr. N for ENG248 and this was my favorite class in my time at LaGuardia. I transferred to Queens afterward and I can honestly say this was the most "college" class I took at LaGuardia. It was fun and there was lots of interesting seminar discussion. I still think about it and remember it fondly! I got a lot of friends from her class.

I had Prof. Navarro for ENG 101. The topic was good. The readings were short, easy and free. We had 2 short papers and 1 final paper, which she lets you revise if you get C+ or lower. This is a good class and she makes it interesting. Shes really helpful.

I had Dr. N for ENG 245 and she was super nice. The lectures were always clear and she let you revise your work if you didnt do well. She has a nice personality and is really engaging to listen to!

Dr. N was really nice. Her lesson videos and instructions were very clear. She was really generous with her time and with the revision policy. If you are ever having trouble, you should just talk to her. She's very empathetic and she helps you out.

I had Dr. Navarro for online Eng 101. She organizes the class really well, everything is clear, and the readings are short and fun. The class theme was food and I found the whole thing really interesting. 100% would take her again. Sad shes not teaching 102 this spring.

Prof. Navarro was great for 102. The readings were interesting and she made every step of the paper process very clear. It barely felt like work because of the way we built up to it in little assignments. This is the class I did the best in last semester.

Dr. N was really my best online professor. She organized the class into folders and everything is very clear. She sends out reminder emails weekly, to help you remember what you need to do. Shes really helpful if you need extra clarification or to ask questions.

I had Prof. N for ENG 245. The readings were interesting and the clues load was light! If you have the chance to take her you should. Shes flexible for online classes and shes very supportive.

ENG 101 is pretty similar in all the classes so the prof makes a difference. Prof. Navarro was great online and very nice throughout the class. She made it fun and I would take her again!

I had Dr. Navarro for ENG 102. I thought she was really smart and funny. She doesn't require you to attend the zoom meetings for attendance (she takes it based on assignments). I recommend you do because it helps to talk about the books and ask questions. She was my favorite prof to see every week too!

Dr. N was great for ENG 245! The books were very interesting and she was easy on grading essays. She let you work on multiple drafts, was always available to help you, and even spent time with me on zoom walking me through the essay-writing process. She was hands down the most dedicated professor that I have ever had! Take her class for sure!

For an online course, I highly recommend her. Her course is so organized and easy to understand. The theme she chooses for 101 is food and it's fun to read about. Dr. Navarro is also really nice and helpful to her students.

I have Dr. Navarro now for ENG 248. I legit don't even care what grade I get I love her. She makes lesson videos for every week, puts everything in clearly labelled folders on BB, is understanding with due dates. She took the time to personally respond to my introduction post and it made me feel so happy. The readings and the course are fun!

She is honestly an amazing professor and so understanding. She is so sweet. If you need help she is there to help you whenever. I highly recommend her! Her work is so straight forward and very simple.

She was also super nice and was helpful if you needed to go over something. I did a few draft conferences with her and I got As. She also gave quite a few easy extra credits.

Prof. Navarro was very nice and her course was interesting. I like the readings (likeThe Yellow Wallpaper) and she let you do a lot of revisions on papers. If you can revise every bad grade on a paper, do extra credit, and have an open book final exam there's nothing more you could ask for to do well. Everyone should get an A.

Dr. N is the best English professor I've had, her class actually helped me improve my writing skills thanks to the journal assignments that we did. She let you use the journals in your papers so it made doing the papers much easier. She was also very clear and easy to get in touch with if you needed extra help.

I had Dr. Navarro for ENG 248. We read books mostly about Latinx women and some poetry. The readings were good and the class was fun. It was one of my favorites. She's very understanding and nice and you can tell she really knows her stuff and cares about her students.

She is the best professor ever. The requirements to receive an A in this class are very very clear. She is really nice and overall gives off a happy energy and mood in the classroom. She makes a connection with all of us and an easy grader. Easy Class!

If you have the chance to take her, you should definitely do it. Sometimes her classes fill up quick, I had to try to get in her 102 multiple times after having her for 101.

Prof. Navarro is fantastic at online teaching. Her class is very organized. This is my 2nd time taking ENG 102 and the 1st time I had not enough help and way too much work to do. The way the class goes it builds up to the final paper which helps alot. She's really kind as well and wants you to do the best you can.

I really like ENG 248: Latinx Lit. We read mostly literature by women and my favorite was "The Husband Stitch", if you have the chance to take Dr. Navarro for any class it's worth it. She's kind, the class lectures and group work are fun, and she's super sweet and understanding with the work. Her personal and class style are on point.

Prof. Navarro is a very nice prof. The class is way less work than my 101 was. There are 2 essays that are 2 pages & 3 pages. You can revise the longer one for your final paper. The readings are interesting and she provides a movie version of one. She gives good feedback on papers & you learn a lot. Anyone not lazy will do great.

She assigns weekly journal entries, as well as reading assignments. Her essays are reasonable. She gives you MANY chances to fix yourself. SUPER HELPFUL. I mean if you fail this class its honestly because you did absolutely nothing!!! If every professor could be like her, school would have more of a success rate.

A gem of a professor! Although there is a great deal of reading involved (a mix of stories and novels), the course's difficulty is offset by the professor's helpful demeanor. Seriously, finish your assignments on time to reap her helpful feedback and, on certain assignments, even improve its grade. There is no reason to fail this course. Just try!

Prof Navarro is super nice. She gives you three books to read (2 are short) and provides movie versions to help you follow along. She allows revisions and gives 3 extra credits! I highly recommend her. She just has a nice personality and really cares about her students.

Loved this class. She explains things very well and her powerpoints are always fun (she adds herself and her dog into all). The class is mainly about women which to some may not be interesting. Overall the class was easy if you were up to date with everything going on in class and in the readings.
