He is absolutely the best math teacher i have ever had. I wish i could take ever math class with him.

hes so cool! he totally understands you and helps you with all your questions. his tests are pretty easy and he only requires you to do 32 hours in the lab instead of 48 hrs. he also cares a lot about getting people to appreciate and understand math.

he is wonderful he explains very well the material.i liked his class.

He is a wonderful teacher. He always explains himself and he encourages students to ask question. He's funny too.

Exceptional teacher. He REALLY cares about his students but a third of the class is clueless. He will show you FOUR different ways to do the same problem and then people come here and say he's too fast. Amazing!! He also has a great sense of humor but never makes fun of anyone. Really enjoyable.

This Professor is incredible. I wish I can keep taking Math classes with him. He's very helpful and he really knows his stuff; however, you have to be prepared and study if not he will send you to go "Fishing".... He's Excellent!

im not a math person but he explains very good and makes it seem easy. as long as you go to class you would get it. his test are easy. he doesnt go around circles, he teaches exactly what you need.

CHERNOFF was cool! he didnt care for attendence, very clear, gets to the point, has his own easy method of solving a problem, funny guy, you basically just have to worry about the exit test. If you pass the exit test you will automatically pass his class.. i got F's on the tests and passsed the exit

prof Chernoff to me was a math saver I am 22 girl and a 100 ton boat capatain so I can study but have always hated math and was sure I would fail this class but he was great! If you do the home work and come to class you will do great cause he makes math intresting and fun(which I never thought was possible)I wish I could take him again.

An amazing teacher. He takes a subject that people hate and he turns them around. He'll show you three different ways to do a problem and people think theses are shortcuts. They're just different approaches. My brothers took this class also and thought he was awesome. He really impacts people. Great sense of humor as well.

Very very very very good teacher! Teaches you so you understand what you are doing. Has his own approach for teaching math. He cares more about if you learn the math rather than what grades you get. I can actually say he TAUGHT me math rather than saying he showed me the problems. Thank him for being cool, take his class if you can.

I am horrible at math, and I definitely recommend this teacher to someone who is horrible at math. There are only 5 tests, and each consists of only 10 problems. The day before each test, He gives you the same 10 problems that will be on it, though they are different numbers.

Attendance is not mandatory, he makes things that we've already learned easier bcuz he teaches you in a new way. i understood every subject except one. i recommend him . the book is needed only for hw but u could get it in the lab.

Very nice teacher, good sense of humor, does not pick on you, does not stress over lab, attendance and homework are not mandatory, he definately puts you at ease if you take math before noon.

This professor understands that math is hard. However, he explains it so well that math is comprehensible. Reviews for each test. All you need to do for math is do your homework and practice just like a musician and you will get it! Great teacher. He can even reach us older ones.

Best teacher ever. I wish i could take him for every math class. I got an A in Math for the first time since middle school. Not because hes easy just because hes a great teacher. Just listen to everything he says and never be absent. Pay attention and you will understand everything about math that you didnt before.

He is a great teacher, he really knows how to relate the info and if or when he suspects your drifting off he tells a story pertaining to the topic which kinda pulls you in without you even knowing then you get the problem or topic as easy as cake. He knows its not a easy subject but then he gave us an ultimatum. go fishing or come to school.lol

He understands that math isn't an easy subject. If you don't want to try, just go fishing. He's there to help you. I love his teaching methods. Just go to class do some of the homework so you understand what you learned in class and then you will pass his 10 question tests! THATS IT ! that simple and that easy!

This Prof. is the real deal! I HATE math but he makes it so you understand. I retook his class but that's because of my lack of attention in class. He's crystal clear and a great guy!

This is guy is like the George Carlin of math. He's awesome, funny, and correlates math with the real world. If you're more of an English kind of person, take him, you'll understand math MUCH better.

I am currently taking his class and he teach super clear so everybody can understand, he will go over on any exercise of the H.W , he is funny and classes never start on time, quizzes are easy if you do the H.W and the Review that he gives you. Attendence is not mandatory, but if you get low grades he dropped you out. Highly recomended.

I highly recommend this teacher if you are not great at math. He finds the easiest solutions to difficult problems. If you go to class and do the homework you'll be fine.

I took him 2 times for the same class. I failed the State Exit Exam & all of his test the first time because I just didnt care about the class. The second time I took this course I did it with him again. An amazing teacher. Clear. Tests are EXACTLY what he taught in class. He loves to go fishing on Thursdays."Lab Day". TAKE HIM! You wont regret it!

Hate math but awesome prof. Shows you different ways to do the same problem. Thursdays are in-class reviews. I attended these and finally know how to factor. "Drink coffee" :)

i did not like this professor at all. he's sarcastic and has terrible humor. classes are not mandatory but if you miss even the first 10 minutes of class you'll be lost. tests are not hard to pass. however, he uses wayyy too many steps to get to a simple answer and wants you to use his methods whether they help you or not.

Great Teacher! I cannot stand math and he really helped me understand and get the hang of it. He goes through step by step and will gladly help you if needed. I never got the book because you have to go to the math lab anyways. He truly enjoys his job, I recommend Prof. Chernoff! :)

very nice guy! fun and entertaining! i barely went to class and still passed. the book isn't mandatory since you have to do lab hours anyway so if you want, just use their book. just make sure you go to class when he reviews for the test because the test is exactly like the review but with different numbers! LOVE HIM! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Great guy, great professor he has a different way to teach math and yet someone mentions he gets too many steps for a simple answer well is because he teaches foolproof math, if you follow his steps you wont get a wrong answer, love the guy, I entered his class hating algebra now I am helping my son with his HW, I highly recommend him

I would not have passed Math without this man. He is the only professor to make me understand ANYTHING. His method is completely different and he goes step by step to ensure there's no mistakes. HIGHLY recommend him, wish he taught higher lever math as well!

Ever curious in algebra about why things are done a certain way? He explains everything clearly. He's not a teacher that says its done this way so that's how your gonna do it. If you pay attention and write down his notes and review your going to pass,but he's not just gonna pass you. You have to want to learn. If that's you then take this teacher!

He is an amazing teacher, you will understand his methods. Everything you didn't understand before is a heck of a lot easier now. You get a lot oh "aha!" moments. Just go to class, don't miss. He makes everything simple, a bit of sarcastic humor but an amazing professor. You will use the textbook a lot for homework.

I havent take math classes since 10 years ago in cuba , he is the best proff. I ever had I understant his lessons perfect, take him, he is funny nice guy that makes feel relaxing learning and he does not stress you with attendance ,he cares about real life and want to help students to learn math,I love his methods, wish all theachers were like him!

He is an amazing math teacher! his teaching methods are super easy to understand, his hw is also really easy and he doesn't even check it, its only practice. the quizzes are also really easy, he gives you an exact review of the quiz just different numbers. attendance is crucial though so make sure you dont miss.

This was my third time taking math and this teacher has made it easy for me to pass this year! I would recommend him to everyone! All you have to do is actually come to class, pay attention, write down notes! He doesnt check hw and he gives u the exact quiz(just different numbers) to study, plus he basically gives u a day off every week :)

Clear and concise. Do your homework and follow his steps and youll learn the math. On Thursdays he goes over homework. He wants you to really learn the material and the rest doesn't matter.

He is always there to help, wants his students to succeed, and all around great guy. My course was online (aleks, you finish quicker) I passed and Professor Chernoff was there when I struggled.

Aleks couse. Math it's hard for me since I can remember, but he was very helpful, I had a 87 in the class when I'm used to C in math. He'll make you understand and will help you, he expect you to be at least 7 hours a week on Aleks, so get ready.

I have been out of HS for over 20 yrs now and most of this math I did not remember. He was very helpful and whenever I had questions about a problem he would break them down to me as if I were 10 yrs old, needless to say, I left his math class knowing things I never even knew before and passed the class thanks to him. Professor Chernoff is one of the best Math professors I have ever had. Although the class was only on the computer, he was always there when you need him, and goes step by step to make sure you fully understand.

I took this class online. professor always was there to answer my questions. he explained the exercises detail by detail for better understanding. he always replays back the homework even if you give the right answer. Is an inspirational professor, so if you need to took this math this is a good professor to do it!

Awesome Professor! I had him for an online course MAT0057, all our work was done through ALEKS, including both the mid-term and final which were not proctored. The course was easy & you are able to finish ahead of time depending how fast you work. Great professor who just wants his students to pass, highly recommend him.
