She is an awesome professor who genuinely cares about the topic and your understanding of the topic. She takes her role as an educator seriously and does a lot to make learning in her class as easy as possible. She usually supplies good notes(not just an outline) so that you can actually listen in class without worrying about getting everything written down. I recommend this class. I had her for child psych and psych 301....both great classes.

Dr. Reeves is nice if you talk to her during office hours, but her inconsistent and subjective grading really killed my interest in anything related to her class's focus. She knit-picks everything and you'll lose a lot of points over nothing. This was an extremely stressful semester. I still learned a lot though, so I'm grateful for that!

I had to fight for my life staying awake in this class. Dr. Reeves is nice and was very considerate during COVID to offer Canvas tests. But the notes she presents are messy and don't follow any logical organization in my opinion. All classes are lectures from what I remember. I honestly walked away not knowing much.

Great professor. Dr. Reeves makes her lectures very interesting and give lots of anecdotes about each subject. I feel that I learned a great deal in her class even though it was a summer session. Wish she was a little more responsive to emails, however, the course was really straight forward and simple. Definitely would take again.

Her lecture slides are disorganized and hard to follow. LOTS of reading from multiple articles and several chapters from book which need to be read in order to complete the quizzes. Exams are proctored and are pretty complex. She provides a "study guide" but it literally just has every single topic listed.. lectures have like 60+ slides. Insane.

Easily the most disorganized and uninteresting class I have taken in college. Paper deadlines are unclear and the course and lectures are so uninteresting that it is difficult to even know what the papers are to be about once it comes time to write them. However, the papers end up being the majority of the grade.

Overall the class itself isn't that bad. The content covered was somewhat interesting and the professor is very knowledgeable on the topic. The major downside to this course was that the A is a 94 and there are three exams with no drops and one group lab report. The workload is very manageable but wouldn't recommend taking this class.

She is super understanding! Her tests are relatively easy if you use the study guide she uploads to Canva! she also holds a zoom where she answers all questions the night before the test. The only downside is the group project, at least for me my team mates didn't do a great job and it lowered my overall grade. Take this class!

Professor Reeves is an easy grader and her tests are easy as long as you look at the study guide. However, I found the lectures to be hard to pay attention to because they could be boring at times. she is very accomplished and knowledgeable in her field! The in-class experiments are the only parts of the class I found truly engaging.

Reeves had an interesting lecture style and was overall pretty helpful when I needed to speak to her. Just make sure to take decent notes and review them often, as that was a major factor in my grade. there is a group project near the end of things, but it wasn't that hard- would recommend her to any psych student needing a decent class.

Prof. Reeves teaching style can be a bit non-engaging and you must take notes over the textbook and the course slides to get a grasp for what will be on the exams. There is an attendance quiz everyday, chapter quizzes, and a lab report. Overall not a bad course to take but the exams can be a bit on the harder side

Professor Reeves is very knowledgeable. However, this has been one of my worst classes at UT. She is very unorganized and very confusing at times. She has two papers(issue analysis and research) for her class and 12 multiple-choice quizzes. Also, you present your research paper. It seems like she has assigned so much she can't keep track of it all.

I love Dr. Reeves! This class is graded on 12 online quizzes (she drops the lowest 2), an issue analysis paper (can be with a group), and a research paper which you prepare a presentation for (not graded harshly at all). While the work may seem daunting, her office hours are super helpful (she helped me choose all the articles for my paper).

Dr. Reeves has been one of my favorite professors here at UT! This is not a blowoff class but if you go to lecture and office hours you can definitely get a high grade. Class is 12 quizzes, a group paper, and an individual research paper (~8-10 pages). It sounds daunting but is doable. Dr. Reeves was understanding and always available to help me.

Dr Reeves is awesome! This class is super fun because you can just listen and discuss the topic in class since the quizzes are based on readings and papers are research based. I had PSY 352P. The class was lectures from Dr. Beevers, so i didn't see much of prof. Reeves during the class. It was 4 exams and an optional final with weekly quizzes you could redo as needed. Overall not bad, but the lecture videos and readings were fairly dense.if you've taken a psych course before you'll be fine, just make sure to study well.

Attendance is mandatory (she takes it for a grade even on the FIRST DAY OF CLASS). In lecture she'll say "you don't need to worry about this" and then there will literally be MULTIPLE questions on the quizzes/tests about it. She has quizzes and assignments due before she even releases slides/notes and before we've had a lecture. Don't take her.

Very sweet professor, but most disorganized class I've ever taken. Her canvas is awful. Random modules; no specific order. Recorded lectures may be in the modules, saved to zoom, or not recorded at all. Slides have random unlabeled info bouncing between theories; super graphic templates (impossible for notes). $45 required book; used for 3 weeks.

She's really knowledgable about the content but she is SO disorganized. The due dates for your paper? No where to be found! The quizzes would sometimes be due before we covered the content in the quiz and the lecture notes seemed like they were stream of consciousness rambles. The content isn't crazy difficult she's just not very concise.
