I would HIGHLY recommend this teacher. Especially for summer. She is very clear, helpful, and the assignments are a snap. Some reading, but nothing lengthy. GREAT TEACHER! probably the best ive hard so far!

She was a great teacher. She gives alot of papers to type but she will help you if you have any problems. EC is given so that's a plus.

You have to write a response every week. I made an A on almost all my papers. She's very clear about what she wants, and I thought the class was pretty east. But, I did feel like I was a better writer afterward.

This is a very smart professor. Very funny and down to earth.

took her for english 1 and i enjoyed her class. assignments were fairly easy and not boring. i loved the reading assignments. they were actually interesting stories. very helpful and gives extra credit. highly recommend.

Great teacher! Always there to help. She assigns response journals and a few essays. Not too hard because it was a bunch of small papers instead of one big paper. Highly recommend her if you work better that way. And she does give extra credit.

Very clear about what she expects. Easy grader. Took class for Maymester, so there were only about 5 easy assignments. Would definately recommend and take her again. Anybody who even remotely tried probably got an A in the class. Also very respectful and patient with slower students.

She sounds very strict at first, kind of sassy, but very respectful. She helps you all the time and will answer all of your questions. A lot of writing but easy grading. Just follow instructions and you will be more than fine.

She was always willing to help me understand or let me redo assignments so that i wouldn't hava bad grade. she really cares about her students and makes everyone feel welcome, comfortable and equal.

Very well prepared. She has a wide selection of material and has high expectations from her students. She does not force her opinions on students, but instead is open to all interpretations of material. Her favorite saying is "I never looked at it that way." Extemely proficient with MLA. Broad variety of reading material.

shes a very enthusiastic, friendly teacher. there are a few writing assingments but if u just do them you will do fine. a lot of people dropped the class, but only because they didnt do the writing assingments. but its english guys u have to write papers, hers are easy and short just do them.

There is a lot of work but hello this is College not highschool. It's not difficult if you stay on top of things. She will help you revise your paper. Lets you know whats expected of you. But she is fair. If your looking for an easy class well don't take her. But if you want to actually learn something and get your money's worth take her.

(1301) she is a very good teacher that demands a little much but this is college. corrects your work so you know not what to do on the next assignment. just go to class and attempt to do the work and you'll pass. drops 3 grades and give two points to your overall grade if you do not miss class

at first i didnt understand the class but then eventually u eill she is kind understanding and helpful i got a B on one of my essays and i have never gotten a B i always get 72 highest was a 75 she grades fair and is calm. i could have had a B in her class but i forgot to do 4 responce journals which are easy i usually get Bs on thm so i got 4 0

I LOVED HER CLASS. SHE IS A REALLY GOOD TEACHER. AS LONG AS YOU SHOW UP TO CLASS AND TURN IN ALL THE ASSIGNMENTS THAT ARE REQUIRED AND YOU WILL PASS. MY AVERAGE THIS SPRING SEMESTER IS A 94. SHES REALLY GREAT...I AM GOING TO TAKE HER AGAIN FOR ENGLISH 1302 THIS SUMMER

Good Professor. She always has time to help her students. She gives much extra credit, if you are a registered voter, she gives extra credit. But I would recomend her.

Class is not for slackers. Lots papers to write. Will replace low journal or computer lab w/ 100 if you attend a function on campus. Does take attendance, but if you have I do believe less than 3 absences you get points for that. I did not make it. Grades fairly. Teaches some and lots of discussion on stories read. Helps if needed. Made an A+

This teacher was very easy. She is very helpful if you ask her questions and she grades very easy on essays. There are 3 to 4 papers in the class and the final is a short essay which she tells you of the topics a week before the exam. This class is an easy A for sure.

Professor Coleman is great! Patient, willing to help you, and wants you to succeed! Essays and response journals are a little difficult but just do the work and you'll do great. she also gives you 2 extra points to your final average if you have perfect attendence. Highly Recommended! I would take for Fresh Comp II.

As a teacher, there isn't one as helpful as she is. If you ever need help shes there. The real problem is there is a crap load of essays. Other than that the class is easy. Oh, and she is hot, don't see as many hot teachers as she is.

I've been out of school 7 yrs & I was intimated by the class but Ms. Coleman made me feel confident & I would recommend her to anyone. I wouldn't hesitate to take her class again.

Mrs. Coleman is extremly helpful best english teacher ever. Just make sure you do all the journals and attempt all essays and you will pass. Also if you go to her before class and say that you will not be able to make it she does not count it.

Ms. Coleman is amazing! You need to do the homework, but she rarely gives any, and be sure to stay on top of your readings. I took Maymester and she was very flexible. I also took Comp I and I got an A. DO NOT be afraid to talk to her. She will help with whatever question you have.

Mrs. Coleman was so fun. She's very into the subject and tries to get everyone into it as well. Take your time and her critiques into consideration. Pay attention. Her guidelines will help you obtain good grades on essays.

Very nice and very helpful. She's good humored too. I failed the class but only because I'm a procrastinator. Do your essays and don't wait till the last minute on them and you'll do fine. She does seem to have a thing for citing your work correctly but other than that she's great. I'd take her again if it weren't for time conflicts.

Prof. Coleman was a neat person. She was kind, and funny and has a great personality. She might have seemed a little ditzy at some times, but all in all was a great time!

Mrs. Coleman has a way of getting across to each student, regardless of how well they initially comprehend the subject, and does so without ever seeming condescending. She is an amazing professor. Always makes herself available for help. If I had the option, I would absolutely take her again.

mrs.coleman is a wonderful teacher. she is very helpful and will not get frustrated if you dont understand the material. even though i missed a couple of times due to my pregnancy she still helped me pass. i HIGHLY recommend her. she is the best teacher. by the way very kind and sweet.

Mrs. Coleman was an awesome teacher. I took her as a flex course and it was fast paced and it was a lot of writing but I got an A. You have to show up for class, participate and try. She makes opportuinites for you if you are trying. I would take her again if I could!!!! This is not a class for you if you are a slacker.

She is a great teacher and expects a lot from her students. If you get behind she gives you plenty of opportunities for make up work and redos. I would definitely take her again!

she is very helpful &knows what she wants; as long as you read the passages she assigns &write the essays she assigns you'll do great. attendence is mandatory &if you miss a class make sure you look at you syllabus to kno what to do for nxt class; you must follow you syllabus. overall wonderful teacher

She was such a wonderful teacher she explained the everything in excellent detail. She gives you time to turn in late work and if you dont do so good in an essay she lets you re-do it. She is also very funny and jolly her class is super fun. I totally recommend her.

Mrs. Coleman was such a fantastic teacher! I took her in Spring 2010 and am taking her again for the fall. She explained everything really well, and was really nice when grading papers. If you didn't do well she would let you redo it for a higher grade. She was very enthusiastic about all of her assignments. I recommend her to anyone!

Amazing professor! Very understanding and helpful! I am taking Eng Comp 2 with her this fall and am very much looking forward to this class ( I never thought I would enjoy a writing class). Take her, you will very much enjoy the class!!!

I took her three times and she is just a wonderful teacher. I had to retake 1301 because of laziness, but I got a B in her class the second time and would take her again if I could, but I not longer need anymore Englishes. Follow citations, do good research and write well and you should do fantastic in her class.

Mrs. Coleman is an amazing teacher. I had her for ENGL1301 Flex1 so each class was 2 hours long but seemed shorter. She explains everything in detail so expects that you get things right. She makes you work for your grade but if you pay attention and ask questions you should make a good grade. I will be taking her again for sure.

Professor Coleman in my opinion is one of the best teachers at SAC. She will make you work for your grade but at the end it pays off. I took her for 1301 & 1302 Woderful teacher highly recomend her!!! =D

I was not very fond of this class or professor. Under NO circumstances will I ever take her again! Tough grading, I will admit her class was for the most part easy, but she was very demanding, tedious, and anal about work. It has to be done right or would be considered a failure. I aced every English class I ever had until I took this class:(

Wonderful teacher. Took her for both English 1301 and 1302 and she was GREAT! Always willing to hep out and answer questions. Very quick responses on emails. You MUST attend class though.

Mrs. Coleman is a really great professor. She really loves what she does and you can tell. She works hard for her students to get them to clearly understand the course. She cares about her students. I never thought i'd want to read poetry and literature but I love it now! Would take her again but already took her for 1301 & 1302! :)

She is the best teacher I've had in college so far, I've taken her for remedial english, composition 1 and 2, she's very helpful, if you don't finish your paper on time she presses you to get it done, not just gives you a zero.

I had to retake this class becasue of another professor dreading it especialy online for a 6 week class.. However, she gave me inspiration to write and her topic were doable. i felt she was fair in grading....i had 3 papers journals weekly and one final 5 essaay..... And to top it off I think I will pull off a A.!!! Take her you wont regret

Great teacher! took online summer with her, answers to every question and makes you learn if you work and do what you are supposed to do. Wouldn't hesitate to take another class with her.

I was dreading taking a college english course during the summer. However i can honestly say she made this course fun. The essays are the most difficult part of the class, but she is MORE THAN willing to help. She is an awesome professor and an extremely caring person. I recommend her to everybody. Ms. Coleman is my FAVORITE professor.

Pro. Coleman is the absolute sweetest teacher I have ever had. VERY nice and VERY VERY VERY genuine. She finds every aspect about you interesting. Make sure you proofread EVERYTHING you send her. She is big on punctuation! But a wonderful woman and a great teacher!!!

Professor Coleman is awesome, she is always there to help and give positive helpful feedback. if you feel you are not doing with an essay she lets you send it to her for her review/feedback before you have to sumbit assignment. she makes your use your brain and shes super sweet as long as you show her you care. highly recommened for anyone!

The sweetest most amazing writing teacher i have ever had!(: i retook her 1301 class and she made sure i was going to pass. She always looks out for her students with grades and assignments. She's extremely dedicated to writing, its her life! Always dressed to the nine's!!!! Work load is moderate but easy IF YOU STUDY(: You'll pass, easy A!!!

I took Prof Coleman online class and it was extremely easy. As long as you follow the modules and make an honest attempt to do the work and make the effort you can pass with an A. She was extremely helpful with any questions and provided great feedback to my essays. Do not expect to succeed in this class if you do not honestly try.

Prof. Coleman is an excellent teacher and always willing to answer your questions and give you guidance and feedback along with allowing you to re-submit an essay with a low grade to make corrections to get a higher grade. The course is not difficult if you follow the curriculum she gives. Overall GREAT teacher and I highly recommend her.

Mrs. Coleman is a great professor. She's very precise, and she demands excellence from the start. She gives in-depth feedback on your papers (lifesaver!) and always explains why you received that grade. If you study & apply yourself, you'll do well. Very reading and writing intensive. She emails back quickly and answers questions. I learned a lot!

If You actually try In this course you will do well. Just like any class, get ready to spend some time. She is precise in what she wants. If your looking for an easy a turn the other way. Expect to learn something from her.I did not put in a 100%. Still Passed.

Class was not easy,there was a fair amount of writing crammed into a short period but she gave clear feedback and seemed to grade pretty easy. One time I thought I would bomb an assignment I actually did really well. Just make sure to read assignment and modules. I didn’t give 100% and I got a B, probably could have gotten an A. Would take again.

She is nice prof. but she need too much work, assignment and essays and reading book, but she is nice and helpful , she always listen your problem and try to help. if you love work you take her, she is really nice personality.

MLA citation is extremely important and will make or break the grade received.

Ms. Coleman is a fantastic teacher! I had her for my very first semester of college. She is very helpful, honest, and clear about what she looks for in a paper. If you follow her instructions, you can't go wrong. MLA is important in her class, but it's not as though MLA is a hard format to master. Her class will help you improve in your writing.

I loved Mrs. Coleman. Some like her, some don't. Not sure why people don't. She is the best teacher in the English department and she isn't bad to look at either. (:

Loved professor Coleman took her for honors comp 1. Only way to fail is to not do the work. There's quite a bit of reading but papers are easy. Class starts off fast paced but slows way down in the second half of the semester.

She was a great professor for Technical Writing and was clear on her grading. She gave feedback on papers and definitely graded tough. Though correct citations are important she won't give you a zero like someone else said. She has a rubric that tells you how much each section is worth. She was eager to teach and give help. Attendance is a grade.

I don't love english but she is a wonderful teacher. Truley passionate about what she does. I like how she teaches each class different material so that she can keep the interest in her work along with her class. She offers to stay after class for anyone who needs extra help. I would take her class and highly recommend her.

I personally think her class is easy if you do your work and actually read the rubric when writing essays. If you don't then you won't do well. MLA formatting is important she will take points off. She's approachable and willing to help if you need it. Take her if you're willing to learn how to write well.

I took Tech Writing as an online class, this class consists of chapter quizzes (super easy, you can take twice), discussions boards, and 4 major papers. Prof Coleman is a really tough grader and the last paper is a group project. This is an online class for a reason and we had a group project, which 2/4 members did not help. dont recommend

Professor Coleman is hard but fair. I enjoyed her class this semester. I learned a lot from her. If you want to learn how to write excellent papers, this is the professor you need.

This was my second time talking a class that Professor Coleman taught. I was in her ENGL 1301 class. This is an honors class, so it is a bit harder than normal 1302. I enjoyed her class. You will need to buy what ever novel she assigns as well as the textbook. She is fair and will help if you need it. She is one of my favorite professors.

Never had a test in this class. Just essays and the final. Everything is online. Read the book and whatever novel she wants you to have. You will have class discussions over it ever class. Be ready to do everything and turn in everything online. Don't turn it in late, she wont accept it. Shes nice, just hard to understand what she wants at times.

I took her honors academy class. She will return your paper(s) with specific details on what is done well or what needs some work. I took this my first semester of college. If you want to learn MLA format, and other English related things I recommend her. I learned a lot! Most things are online. I took her for English 1302 as well.

Took her for English 1301. Her 1302 class is easier than her 1301. I think it's simply because of what you're expected to learn for the classes. Great feedback on assignments. Most of the things are online, so if you're not good with canvas just know you're going to have to use it.

Took online. VERY TOUCH GRADER. If you do not have EXACTLY what she is looking for she will dock you. She provides handouts before each of the 4 essays and a checklist. FOLLOW THE CHECKLIST. Beginning of the semester was filled with assignments every 1-2 days, with multiple assignments. She lets you correct the essays after she grades them.

Tough grader. Students will learn how to properly use the MLA format by mid term.

Amazing Professor, I took her honors class. I was lucky in the sense that I learned how to write strong essays in high school, but she engraved MLA format in my brain. Taking her again for ENGL1302. My favorite quality about her class was the way she doesn't try to force you to appreciate English, just understand it.

Everything you learn in Professor Coleman's class will be used later in college. She is a stickler but it will benefit you in the long run. She is extremely kind and listens to you but if you don't do the work, and don't pass, it's your fault.

I took her online American Lit II class, and it is not an easy class. She provided a revision if you guys wanted to get a better grade. She responded my email quick within 24 hours except during weekend. Don't ask her through email for the last minutes. Whatever you learn form her class, it will be needed in the future of your educ and job career.

I took Professor Coleman for honors English 1302, and she was available to help me with my papers during her office hours. All you have to do is talk to her after class, or send her an email to make sure you schedule a time to meet. She was caring, and meeting with her made sure I got an A on my papers and the class.

Took Professor Coleman for an Honors course. She is very nice and friendly can be annoying at times but she is a really good person. She is a tough grader but if you try your best you will pass the class.

Professor Coleman is AMAZING. I am TERRIBLE at writing and she held my hand through every essay. She is accessible and gives the perfect feedback to get you on track. If you score less than a 90, she will give you a few days to make a revision and the grades will be averaged. Very motivating professor, I wish more were like her.

Amazing teacher! She does give out a lot of work, but if you're struggling to complete homework on time, she's willing to give extensions, so you get it done on time!
