Good teacher, Very clear, Test were very fair

Laurie is one of the nicest teachers in the business department. Everything you do is straight forward and if you have any problems she'll be the first to help. Very smart as well. Definitely take her for whatever you can.

LAURIE'S NUMBER ON PRIORITY IS HER STUDENTS. SHE WILL DO ANYTHING FOR YOU AND TRULY CARES ABOUT HER STUDENTS DOING WELL IN SCHOOL. SHE KNOWS EVERYONE BY NAME THAT TAKES HER CLASS AND IS ALWAYS APPROACHABLE AND FRIENDLY. HER CLASSES TEACH YOU A LOT. SHE REQUIRES YOU TO WORK BUT WILL HELP YOU IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE. ABSOLUTELY TAKE HER!

I am dying to take this professor, right now she is my advisor and let me tell you, the first time i met with her she made me feel like we knew each other for years... She is very personable and seems incredibly down to earth, take her if you can!

Nice lady. really gets to know her students. lol dont talk in class when she's talkin no matter how quiet u think u r. She really makes sure u understand everything before she moves on. talked about a lot of random stuff like golfing and wearing a man's suit to take a stand for sumthin.. kinda fun class

Very unselfish, unlike her Dennis Lindblom colleague. Very hard, but worth it. Learns just as much as Dennis, but without the attitude. Loves her students. Cares about their learning. Did extremely well. Gave me great advice. I wish everyone could take her; she cares so much. Loved her to death!!!! Allowed to take as much time as needed on exams.A6

Fantastic and sensible. A sensational performer. Goes through chapter fast. Incredible speed and will not move on until you understand it. Loved every minute of class. Wow!!!!

A fan against arrognace. She goes out of her way to give advice even if it is wrong or incorrect. Very kind and knows her accounting. A depressed school; everyone there is like a soap opera. Go somewhere else. But her class take to transfer elsewhere. Great class. Aqua

This was an on-line course. I really liked the content, but she buried the class with homework. She was fair in her grading.

I have taken 3 classes with Laurie now, one was online. She loves to help her students and seems like she really enjoys teaching. Take her for any class possible, probably the best teacher in the dept.

Online course. She is very demanding with readings and homework papers. This is not a class that you can expect to slip by. If you keep up, you can really get a lot out of this course.

I Have taken 2 courses with her and she is a great teacher. IF you get the homework done and just listen to her there is no way you wont pass. She is a great teacher i'd recommend you take as many classes as you can with her.

AMAZING teacher. Gives homework every class, but it doesnt take that long, and its really helpful for tests. Make sure to go to class, she gives "quizzes" almost every day, but doesnt actually grade them, just checks them off to give you attendance credit. Take as many classes with her as you can.

Laurie is by far one of the best professors I have had... she is extremely helpful with everything, and you can ask her a question or meet with her anytime. Grading is fair and the work load is fair as well. Take her whenever you can!!!

Great teacher, very helpful and knows what she is talking about. Keeps you busy but never gives overwhelming amounts of work, just enough to assure a good grade. Be sure to go to class for her "quizzes" sometimes does three in a day. Not real quiz though, just a way of given you more credit for being in there

Great teacher! Goes over each chapter with clear examples until all students understands. Allows a note card on one or two tests. Loooves talking about food and can get side tract at times but always keeps it interesting.

Accounting and sports are the main topics in class. Although the sports may throw her offtrack for a little, shes an amazing, well taught teacher. She is the only reason I actually like accounting now. Take her, you wont regret it

Gave lots of homework but it really helped with learning the material. She didn't collect it. Short power point presentation which was easy.

Professor Dahlin is excellent. I had her for Fundamentals of Acct II in Spring '09. She has a real passion for accounting and the business department at WSU. She is a fair grader and the exams were fair as well. We had a mini powerpoint project about a company of our choosing that was fun.

By far one of the best teachers I have ever had! Take her over an of the other accounting teachers! Prof Dahlin is super and explains everything very well!

Easily the best teacher I have ever had here at WSU. Accounting is absolutely awful but she helps you understand and makes it very simple and has fun is an extremely cool person at the same time. I highly recommend her!

I really enjoyed her class. She teaches accounting the best. Her class is very attendance oriented, dont be late or she'll single you out. Also, 3 missed classes and you automatically fail. She cares about her students but shows alot of favoritism. Overall, the best accounting class to take.

Took Dr. Dahlin for acct.1 very helpful, very clear writing notes, broke the process down and made the class easy to understand. Acct.2 was a bit more difficult with the subject being more rigid and the notes not always being clear. Always ask for clarification even if you think you understand it, she will explain it again. Overall great prof.

Dr. Dahlin is very funny, makes class go by quick. loves to get to know her students on a personal level. Tests are so crystal clear, we go over the info over and over. You miss 3 classes, you fail the cours. textbook is not so great/unclear.

DAHLIN IS THE BEST TEACHER AT WORCESTER STATE. She makes class extremely interesting and she actually helps you understand the material as opposed to just reading facts and writing them on the board. I would DEFINITELY recommend her because she's the bomb diggity.

Laurie is awesome! She tells you exactly what she expects so there are no surprises! She grades homework the day you pass it in, so you always know how your doing in the class.She truly loves the material and wants you to understand and love it too! She is a huge sports fan and tries to keep class as entertaining as possible!

I really liked the Pro. Dahlin and her BA200 on-line class. She will give you everything ahead of time. So I was able to visit Asia and TX for a few weeks while I took this class. Also the book was very interesting to read and the discussion made the subjects more interesting. I highly recommend her class.

Laurie is by far the best professor in the entire school. She is very helpful and so clear with her lessons, the syllabus, homework- everything! She's the reason I decided to be a Business major, and I make it a point to take any class she teaches here.

She is one of the best business professors at WSU; she truly cares about each student and the progress they make throughout the course. Her expectations are clear. There are 3 tests, a lot of (easy) pop quizzes, and some short homework assignments. She is absolutely hysterical and makes the lectures fly by. I would definitely recommend her.

Took her for accounting 1. She does a very good job keeping the class awake and interested in the material being presented. Around 30 easy pop quizzes, weekly homework, 3 tests (2 chapters each), and 6 chapter outlines. When she says the outlines are due no exceptions, she means no exceptions. Book need for outlines and homework (mostly unchecked)

Dahlin is a very good professor. She is very clear on what she expects and will make you work for it. Tests a a little difficult but she give you everything you need to know. She will randomly call on you in class so be ready to answer questions.

Dahlin is my favorite professor at this University. She does not test you on anything that isn't talked about in class and she is extremely fair. She doesn't like students being late or absent unless they have a legitimate reason. If you attend class, pay close attention, and ask questions if you don't understand, you'll pass with flying colors.

I had Professor Laurie for BA200 online. This was my first online class and I was very nervous. I had many questions and she responded so quickly to my emails. I was upset when I saw the post left by someone saying she didn't respond to emails. That is not truthful. Look at all the great posts here. Professor Laurie cares about students.

Laurie is an amazing advisor and professor. Took 4 of her classes. She truly cares about students. She posts grades for online classes the night stuff is due. Inclass she gets assignments back the next day. Syllabus is very clear. Answers emails very quick. I'm not a fan of accounting, but Laurie made it easy to understand. She's the best.

Online classes are great. Everything explained in the syllabus. Perfect style for those of us working full time and trying to compete a degree. Professor Dahlin is so helpful and she responds to emails immediately. You can tell she truly cares about students. Overall the class was interesting and the Professor was terrific. Online class is very well organized. The course Syllabus contains all the semester's assignments. I was able to do the cases and disc boards weeks ahead. Laurie is helpful and very responsive to questions and emails. She's a very fair grader. SUPER NICE person and GREAT professor. Overall terrific online class. Learned a lot. Highly recommend!

The comments about Laurie being a bad professor shock me. She is the best business professor I've had at this school. She is the reason I changed to an accounting concentration! It's truly sad that students write poor reviews about a professor when they don't put forth any effort. Definitely take her for any accounting course!

It was an online class so it could have gone either way. She posts a clear syllabus that tells you how to do things and what you'll be graded on. It's clear what is due when. She grades things very quickly and grades fairly. She would email explaining why you lost points on an assignment (if you did). I'm sure she is just as good as a lecture prof.

Great professor, keeps the class interested and really cares if you learn. Very clear with what she wants and tests are clear. Easy A if you go to class and pay attention. I'd take her again. Doesn't like tardiness or being late.

Third online class with Laurie. Super nice and helpful. Responds to emails very quickly. Easy to follow class with clear instructions. Everything is in the syllabus and a weekly announcement is posted with assignments. You have to do the work and meet deadlines. If you do, youll earn a good grade.

Great class if you work full time. All assignments provided up front. No surprises. You can plan your entire semester of work. A weekly reminder is sent for homework. Very helpful - Professor sent me the first case when my book didnt arrive on time. Excellent class.

By far the best business professor at WSU! She really does outline all her expectations on her syllabus ! I took her for managerial accounting as well and all the "examples" she put on the board for class notes are the same questions you get on the exams but just different numbers. Any accounting or management classes TAKE DAHLIN!

Second class taking with her and overall love her as professor. She is funny keeps you engaged. Keeps the class interesting. You definitely learn. She is a tough but in a good way. I think if you just do the work, you will make out great in the class. honestly. I am taking her in the fall again for a different course.

Dr. Dahlin is an extremely attentive and well organized professor. I took Management/Corporate Management with her. She is attentive, caring and makes the course material easy to understand, and very interesting. I would highly recommend anyone to take a class with Dr. Dahlin. If you pay attention, and do the coursework you will do very well

One of the best professors I've had at WSU, I've taken Financial Accounting 1 and 2 with her. Her lectures are very easy to follow and clear. Homework isn't collected and graded, just reviewed in class. Usually gives out one or two practice problems for homework which is manageable & helpful. 2-3 Tests. 1 Project. Easy to get in contact with.

If you need to take accounting, take it with her. She is an amazing professor who cares a lot about her students and their success. Takes the time during lectures to ask if you understand the material. She also knows how to make a rather boring subject fun.

Syllabus has everything you need to know: due dates, type of work, etc. Discussion Boards are fairly easy and thought provoking. Lots of cases (12 total) from the textbook, so lots of papers to write (usually about 3 pages long). Final project was pretty involved. Prof was always communicating with students on Blackboard. Much appreciated.

Overall a great human being, but her teaching is not the best if you take her for two day class. She goes over material but does not go over everything that will show up on the quiz or tests. Her test and quiz can be difficult. Just do the homework, do your best on quiz's and tests and you should be good. Plus do good on the homework.

Professor Dahlin is a tough but fair grader. Her classes have strict rules, but engaging with the material and using helpful tools like Unstuck AI can make it a breeze. Definitely take any of her classes if you get the chance.
