very enthisiastic. Kept class moving. If you study and pay attention you'll do fine on her quizes. I think she's very fair. Felt very comfortable asking questions. I liked her alot. Knows her stuff

She is a wonderful professor who knows what she is talking about. You will learn so much, and the class always seems to go very fast. She teaches you instructional strategies while at the same time uses them in our class to teach us. Take her!

So much fun! Class is always interesting and very meaningful. Dr.Hanich really cares about all of her students. She's also really down to earth and easy to get along with. She knows her stuff too!

Good teacher and enthusiastic about the subject (Adv Educational Psych), always in a good mood (I swear she must've been a cheerleader). I do find myself getting tired of group work and wishing we weren't focusing so much on early childhood development (since I want to teach secondary ed). But it's not like this is an optional class anyway.

I disagree with that last post. The group work is a good thing. Hanich's strong suit is knowing her stuff and total willingness to help, plus you can tell she loves what she does. I'd recommend her for sure.

Wonderful professor. Really gets to know her students on a more personal level! Willing to work with you and adapt to your needs as a student(aka sometimes take-home exams and adjusting due dates)! Portfolio assignment is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be...it's time-consuming but she goes through it with you as many different ways as possi

Hanich was so amazing! She just knew how to make us understand and she was very understanding and leniant with grading. I think she has been the best teacher I've had at the University thus far.

Dr. Hanich is a very nice lady, she has interesting lectures and gives many simulations. You have to read the book before coming to class because she makes you write down at the beginning of class what you read about. She is very open to questions and seems to be a genuinely nice person.

I really enjoyed her psych class in soph block. She was my fav. professor in sophblock. She made me look forward to coming to class. I would definately take her again given the opportunity.

Um... she is great. Simply great. I dreaded this class coming in, and now I am so glad I took it with her. Very clear teacher, with very clear expectations. The visual record project takes a long time to do, but she is very fair about grading it. Lastly, she makes wonderful eye candy... very attractive classy prof.

Pretty good prof. Interesting lectures. I had to read the book to get the broad scope, but she picked out details and found interesting ways to get us involved in discussing them. Class discussions were a highlight. Not my favorite prof but definitely OK.

Dr. Hanich is a very helpful teacher. Her exercises in class are really clear and helpful on learning the subject. Only downside would be that she kind of treats everyone like elementary schoolers at times (probably because she was an elementary teacher). But overall very good teacher and I would highly recommend her!

I LOVED Dr. Hanich! I really understood everything she taught and I don't think I've ever took so much out of a single class. During the semester, my grades got messed up by a faulty scan tron and she did everything in her power to fix it. I was so grateful. If you can, try your best to get her as a teacher. She's the best teacher I've ever had!

Dr. Hanich is super nice and her class is interesting. Sometimes her quizzes are tough, but overall she is a great prof. Make sure you get the book, you will use it. Also, she is really hot, probably the most attractive female prof. here.

She is the sweetest professor! She is always willing to help and you can tell she really loves teaching! Her class was interesting and easy (I had a 95%). The book is used for the 3 quizzes but other than that you won't really use it. The projects and papers are easy! Take her if you have the opportunity!

She is a great great great professor. She genuinely cares about students and enjoys talking to them and hearing what they have to say. She is very understanding if you have any problems. 3 quizzes which aren't too bad, open book. She uses hands on activities so you learn the info. Take her class

She's ok. Her constant grammatical errors (there, their, they're, etc) REALLY get on my nerves!!!! Other than that, she's ok. She means well-I took her online class, so I felt that she never got back to my e-mails, and her quizzes are a little ridiculous.

good luck to you, she is really nice and comfortable to talk to, but i learned nothing in her class and i feel that everyone else felt the same. All she did was talk, and never gave us time to speak, and at the end of the semester she gives us all horrible participation points because she gave us no time to communicate our ideas! Ugh.... horrible.

She is an extremely genuinely nice person. She will go out of your way to help you with anything and everything. She is difficult and is a tough grader, but I really learned a lot from her.

Dr. Hanich is great. She really cares about her students and teaches the material in so many different ways to help all learning styles. She is always there to go to, and she is very understanding with her assignments and deadlines, especially when other bloc classes are killing us with papers.

She is the sweetest lady on the planet. She will always be there to listen if you need to talk about problems you are encountering or anything you need to talk to her about. I wish I could take more classes with her. She is a great teacher who has a variety of activities to teach, and she is very understanding of schedule conflicts.

Dr. Hanich is a truly inspiring professor. I view her as the leading expert on educational psychology. Her professionalism, integrity, and good nature are reflected in her pedagogy. She provides excellent resources for pre-service teachers. I would definitely recommend taking her courses if you have the option.

I love her. She makes me feel like a person instead of just another student. I'm kind of a quiet person and professors usually lean towards the ones who are extroverted, but she makes me feel like I'm important in a way. Her lectures keep everyone engaged. I would love to take her again if I could.

Hanich is the biggest mom. She cares so much about her students and really tries to work assignments and due dates around students. Always asks how we are doing. As long as you try and do the assignments it is an easy A. Would totally take another class from her.

Dr. Hanich is the sweetest professor. She truly cares about all of her students and wants them to do well. There are a few easy projects in the class, and they can all be done within a group. Overall, the class is very enjoyable and an easy A, but you will still learn.

Dr. Hanich starts off the class by greeting each of her students to see how their doing at a personal level. Her class consists of weekly modules and discussion boards. There is only one quiz and one project for the final. There is really not that much to her class, but I highly recommend her!

Dr. Hanich truly cares for every student in her classes. I love how she approaches lectures in a more engaging, hands-on way which really made me look forward to her classes. If you read the textbook and participate in class, you will easily get a good grade. Dr. Hanich really is a supportive and kind professor and I would recommend her to anyone!

Dr. Hanich is the best professor I have had thus far at MU. She is personable, caring, and wants all of her students to succeed. She makes every student in her class feel welcomed and loved. In terms of Rita Pierson, she was my champion this semester. Her class was very easy to sit through and took a more hands-on approach. Take her class!!

I took her EDFN class over the summer and she was amazing. Super kind and caring to her students. Quizzes were take home and had almost no homework for the class. She does assign a ton of reading in the textbook but it is very beneficial but mainly common knowledge

Hanich is a great professor and I found many of her classes interesting, but at the end of the semester I realized I didn't learn that much in her class aside from a couple of buzzwords. Maybe that is a me problem but for the final project they do a cumulative project and everyone had the same couple of things and that was it.

By far my favorite education professor. She is so caring and makes time to connect with each of her students. She values everyone. All test are online and most assignments are collaborated with 211, so your doing one paper for two classes. Her lectures are more of just discussions but super easy!

Hanich is an extremely caring and dedicated educator. She will check in with you and get to know you. All assignments are useful in the field, but the class itself is almost a duplicate of PSYC 227. She takes a different approach to lectures to make it more interesting. The field assignments were unclear and a lot of our co-ops found them invasive.

hanich is so wonderful! she really cares about each of her students and wants the best for them, will check in often. her lessons are actually super fun! the class is mostly easy except for the final BSP which is graded quite harshly so definitely start working on that asap. i learned a lot in this class and totally recommend that you take her!

Hanich is one of the sweetest professors you will ever meet. A lot of assignments are combined with EDFN 211, so most of the time you are killing two birds with one stone! She gives detailed feedback on each assignment, isn't too harsh on grading (except for the final project), and cares a lot about her course content and her students! I recommend!

She is a tough grader and grades are not always reflecting of the effort put in. Do not get the textbook. It's not needed and all the readings are reflected in the lectures. Overall pretty mid class.

Dr. Hanich is very accommodating and kind. Grading and expectations were fair. Textbook readings were light, projects were frequently used, as well as group collaboration. She also didn't rely heavily on lecture and enjoyed a more discussion based teaching style which helped me interact with the content. I would love to take this course again!

i loved her and her critical thinking skills, but honestly i would watch out for her suddenly grading super harshly. she gives weird feedback that does not apply to the guidelines given so be careful and have her take accountability on that
