Sexy.....hmmmm
A great professor!
Monotonous, tests are unclear, she isn't responsive to students' needs

Alright I guess...
very enthisiastic. Kept class moving. If you study and pay attention you'll do fine on her quizes. I think she's very fair. Felt very comfortable asking questions. I liked her alot. Knows her stuff
Great class-a teacher who loves what they do and is really here to make the experience better for students--a great person, as well!
Awesome professor, very helpful, and very attractive.
She is a wonderful professor who knows what she is talking about. You will learn so much, and the class always seems to go very fast. She teaches you instructional strategies while at the same time uses them in our class to teach us. Take her!
Great prof and great class. I was so prepared for my placement but it does requirre a lot of work. All and all a good experience.
very great professor, she knows what she's talking about. she is very approachable and willing to help you whenever she can. i learned a lot from her class that will prepare me to be a better teacher!
This profssor displayed her scholarship on a daily basis. She was fair, compassionate, and professional. Always accessible out of class, she is an asset to the department.
She was very helpful and understanding
Dr. Hanich is an enthusiastic professor. She really knows her subject matter and communicates it clearly. She is very approachable and helpful outside of class.
really makes you interested in psychology of education and students. i would WANT to go to herclass!
very helpful and caring professor, medium level quizzes
Dr. Hanich is probably my favorite teacher so far at MU. She has been such a great help and really enjoys what she does.
So much fun! Class is always interesting and very meaningful. Dr.Hanich really cares about all of her students. She's also really down to earth and easy to get along with. She knows her stuff too!
Good teacher and enthusiastic about the subject (Adv Educational Psych), always in a good mood (I swear she must've been a cheerleader). I do find myself getting tired of group work and wishing we weren't focusing so much on early childhood development (since I want to teach secondary ed). But it's not like this is an optional class anyway.
I disagree with that last post. The group work is a good thing. Hanich's strong suit is knowing her stuff and total willingness to help, plus you can tell she loves what she does. I'd recommend her for sure.
She is a great teacher and I'm so glad I was put in her class. She cares about her students so much and she really knows what she's talking about. I wish I could take her for every class. Great lady!!
Nice lady; Content was very thin; Big portfolio assignment was very unclear; Group assignments were clumsy; Will not take this prof again.
Wonderful professor. Really gets to know her students on a more personal level! Willing to work with you and adapt to your needs as a student(aka sometimes take-home exams and adjusting due dates)! Portfolio assignment is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be...it's time-consuming but she goes through it with you as many different ways as possi
Incredible! She even took time out of her office hourst to talk about my career path with me :)
Hanich was so amazing! She just knew how to make us understand and she was very understanding and leniant with grading. I think she has been the best teacher I've had at the University thus far.
Dr. Hanich is a very nice lady, she has interesting lectures and gives many simulations. You have to read the book before coming to class because she makes you write down at the beginning of class what you read about. She is very open to questions and seems to be a genuinely nice person.
I really enjoyed her psych class in soph block. She was my fav. professor in sophblock. She made me look forward to coming to class. I would definately take her again given the opportunity.
Um... she is great. Simply great. I dreaded this class coming in, and now I am so glad I took it with her. Very clear teacher, with very clear expectations. The visual record project takes a long time to do, but she is very fair about grading it. Lastly, she makes wonderful eye candy... very attractive classy prof.
Pretty good prof. Interesting lectures. I had to read the book to get the broad scope, but she picked out details and found interesting ways to get us involved in discussing them. Class discussions were a highlight. Not my favorite prof but definitely OK.
Dr. Hanich is a very helpful teacher. Her exercises in class are really clear and helpful on learning the subject. Only downside would be that she kind of treats everyone like elementary schoolers at times (probably because she was an elementary teacher). But overall very good teacher and I would highly recommend her!
I LOVED Dr. Hanich! I really understood everything she taught and I don't think I've ever took so much out of a single class. During the semester, my grades got messed up by a faulty scan tron and she did everything in her power to fix it. I was so grateful. If you can, try your best to get her as a teacher. She's the best teacher I've ever had!
she is awesome, her lectures are interesting and you can tell she loves her job
Dr. Hanich is super nice and her class is interesting. Sometimes her quizzes are tough, but overall she is a great prof. Make sure you get the book, you will use it. Also, she is really hot, probably the most attractive female prof. here.
nicest teacher ever! always willing to help you. her quizzes are a little hard and confusing, but if you work with other students, they are easy. Graded fair. her classes were extremely boring though.
She is the sweetest professor! She is always willing to help and you can tell she really loves teaching! Her class was interesting and easy (I had a 95%). The book is used for the 3 quizzes but other than that you won't really use it. The projects and papers are easy! Take her if you have the opportunity!
She is a very helpful teacher and loved being in her class. I took out a lot from her class and the textbook she used was very useful.
She is a great great great professor. She genuinely cares about students and enjoys talking to them and hearing what they have to say. She is very understanding if you have any problems. 3 quizzes which aren't too bad, open book. She uses hands on activities so you learn the info. Take her class
She's ok. Her constant grammatical errors (there, their, they're, etc) REALLY get on my nerves!!!! Other than that, she's ok. She means well-I took her online class, so I felt that she never got back to my e-mails, and her quizzes are a little ridiculous.
good luck to you, she is really nice and comfortable to talk to, but i learned nothing in her class and i feel that everyone else felt the same. All she did was talk, and never gave us time to speak, and at the end of the semester she gives us all horrible participation points because she gave us no time to communicate our ideas! Ugh.... horrible.
She is the best. She is always willing to help you inside and outside of class. She is awesome. Take her.
She is an extremely genuinely nice person. She will go out of your way to help you with anything and everything. She is difficult and is a tough grader, but I really learned a lot from her.
Great prof! Super enthusiastic and a great mentor!
One of the nicest professors I have ever had. She is so helpful and truly care for her students. I would take another class from her in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!!
Dr. Hanich is great. She really cares about her students and teaches the material in so many different ways to help all learning styles. She is always there to go to, and she is very understanding with her assignments and deadlines, especially when other bloc classes are killing us with papers.
She is the sweetest lady on the planet. She will always be there to listen if you need to talk about problems you are encountering or anything you need to talk to her about. I wish I could take more classes with her. She is a great teacher who has a variety of activities to teach, and she is very understanding of schedule conflicts.
She's pretty awesome. She can tend to seem like she would be better at teaching elementary students but she gives lots of great insight that will be necessary in teaching.
She is very respectful and genuinely passionate about what she is teaching. You can tell she cares about her students and wants the best for them. I absolutely loved her. Her work is completely fair, and if you have questions she will answer them.
Dr. Hanich is an amazing professor and she legitimately wants you to do well in her class as well as the real world. She invites students to email or call her whenever for anything. One of my favorite professors.
Dr. Hanich is a truly inspiring professor. I view her as the leading expert on educational psychology. Her professionalism, integrity, and good nature are reflected in her pedagogy. She provides excellent resources for pre-service teachers. I would definitely recommend taking her courses if you have the option.
I love her. She makes me feel like a person instead of just another student. I'm kind of a quiet person and professors usually lean towards the ones who are extroverted, but she makes me feel like I'm important in a way. Her lectures keep everyone engaged. I would love to take her again if I could.
Hanich is there for you through any problem you might have, academic or not. Take 241 with her and Dr. Mahoney and be ready for the best educational experience of your life. She's an amazing, inspiring, exceptional teachers and inspires and teaches her students to be just the same.
Dr. Hanich is by far one of the best professors I've ever had. Her class opens your eyes to the growing issues in education and you have fun! She grades fair and overall is a wonderful person. If you are an Ed major, take her course!!!!
Dr. Hanich is one of the best professors I've had. She has such a mom approach to education and you can tell she really cares. She has inspired me in so many ways and her class is pretty easy, fair, but most importantly, it's life changing!
Hanich is the biggest mom. She cares so much about her students and really tries to work assignments and due dates around students. Always asks how we are doing. As long as you try and do the assignments it is an easy A. Would totally take another class from her.
Dr. Hanich is the sweetest professor. She truly cares about all of her students and wants them to do well. There are a few easy projects in the class, and they can all be done within a group. Overall, the class is very enjoyable and an easy A, but you will still learn.
The best professor in the education department!
She is one of the most genuine and caring professors I have ever had the pleasure of taking a course from. She is soft spoken and sincere. She very clearly cares about all of her students and wants you to succeed. She is absolutely amazing.
She is so sweet. Not only is she sweet, she is a great teacher that expresses great care for her students. I would 100% take a class with her again.
Dr. Hanich is so sweet her classes were pretty interesting.
Dr. Hanich is a very caring and kind professor who wants to equip her students to become the best educators they can. The assignments are relatively easy and all of the material we covered was incredibly useful. Overall, I loved the class and her!
Dr. Hanich starts off the class by greeting each of her students to see how their doing at a personal level. Her class consists of weekly modules and discussion boards. There is only one quiz and one project for the final. There is really not that much to her class, but I highly recommend her!
Absolutely lovely woman! So caring and has such a passion for what she is teaching. I love her so much and I think she is a great professor. Take her if you have a chance!
Dr. Hanich truly cares for every student in her classes. I love how she approaches lectures in a more engaging, hands-on way which really made me look forward to her classes. If you read the textbook and participate in class, you will easily get a good grade. Dr. Hanich really is a supportive and kind professor and I would recommend her to anyone!
Dr. Hanich is the best professor I have had thus far at MU. She is personable, caring, and wants all of her students to succeed. She makes every student in her class feel welcomed and loved. In terms of Rita Pierson, she was my champion this semester. Her class was very easy to sit through and took a more hands-on approach. Take her class!!
I took her EDFN class over the summer and she was amazing. Super kind and caring to her students. Quizzes were take home and had almost no homework for the class. She does assign a ton of reading in the textbook but it is very beneficial but mainly common knowledge
So motivated and taught by example. Is very clear to understand what her goal is as an educator
Hanich is a great professor and I found many of her classes interesting, but at the end of the semester I realized I didn't learn that much in her class aside from a couple of buzzwords. Maybe that is a me problem but for the final project they do a cumulative project and everyone had the same couple of things and that was it.
By far my favorite education professor. She is so caring and makes time to connect with each of her students. She values everyone. All test are online and most assignments are collaborated with 211, so your doing one paper for two classes. Her lectures are more of just discussions but super easy!
Hanich is an extremely caring and dedicated educator. She will check in with you and get to know you. All assignments are useful in the field, but the class itself is almost a duplicate of PSYC 227. She takes a different approach to lectures to make it more interesting. The field assignments were unclear and a lot of our co-ops found them invasive.
One of the sweetest profs ever, and she knows what she is talking about with psych. she actively listens to our thoughts and will acomodate for anyone.
hanich is so wonderful! she really cares about each of her students and wants the best for them, will check in often. her lessons are actually super fun! the class is mostly easy except for the final BSP which is graded quite harshly so definitely start working on that asap. i learned a lot in this class and totally recommend that you take her!
Hanich is one of the sweetest professors you will ever meet. A lot of assignments are combined with EDFN 211, so most of the time you are killing two birds with one stone! She gives detailed feedback on each assignment, isn't too harsh on grading (except for the final project), and cares a lot about her course content and her students! I recommend!
She is a tough grader and grades are not always reflecting of the effort put in. Do not get the textbook. It's not needed and all the readings are reflected in the lectures. Overall pretty mid class.
Dr. Hanich is very accommodating and kind. Grading and expectations were fair. Textbook readings were light, projects were frequently used, as well as group collaboration. She also didn't rely heavily on lecture and enjoyed a more discussion based teaching style which helped me interact with the content. I would love to take this course again!
i loved her and her critical thinking skills, but honestly i would watch out for her suddenly grading super harshly. she gives weird feedback that does not apply to the guidelines given so be careful and have her take accountability on that
