Awesome Professor! Personality galore! I hated giving speeches and was not looking forward to taking this mandatory course but she made it fun and helped calm the nerves (for the most part). She's the best and she bends over backwards to help her students out!

Nice & entertaining lady, but *FAR* too in depth for an introductory course. She treats the class as if everyone is Public Speaking majors. Quizzes every week, a lot of information to keep up with and A LOT of annoying group work. If PS is not your thing & you're only taking the class because you have to, I do not suggest this professor.

Mrs. O'Connor really cares about her students and is so passionate about what she does. She strives to make her classroom feel like a living room. I would definitely take her class if you actually want to learn something.

At first i thought should would be hard to pass, but she is easy as long as you do the work and study you will pass her class. Show up everyday and show her that you are trying. Looking back at all teachers I have had over the yrs fr grade school to GPC, Mrs.O'Connor STOOD OUT!! She is AWESOME! Tons of ENERGY,got every1 pumped up 4 speech day-calmed nerves. Truly cared about her students. I mean duh (comment below) this class is a PS course, its pretty clear speeches r a big part of your grade. Overall, very impressed! :)

I took this class at 7am and Mrs. O"Conner made it worth it. It is a SPEECH class so your speeches are a big part of your grade, but thats what your taking the class for. This teacher is fair and if you show up to speeches and do your work..you can easily make an A.Very few teachers care as much about their students as Mrs. O'conner does.

I can honestly say she is the best teacher i've ever had. If you've had her, you know how helpful the fill in the blank packet we have for homework is because that is our study guide for the final. She's so energetic but yet so calm if there's ever a problem. She tries to improve her class by asking what she should change. I would highly recommend

Such a sweetheart, very lovable and very very easy. It doesn't matter if you're a comm major or not, the class doesn't take much effort to get an A. Granted, you have to do your work and do well on speeches, but I definitely relaxed in that class.

Mrs. O'Connor is wonderful. The first half of the semester is a learning curve and the second half is mostly speeches. You must go to class and follow her (simple) instructions for the speeches. You cannot slack.. We are in college afterall! She is very helpful, fast at posting grades, and makes herself available to answer questions.

I took her class over a 3 week summer course & was sick 2 out of 3 weeks. I let her know & showed docs, & she was beyond encouraging and understanding to help me through the course. I loved this class. She is so passionate about this subject, it makes everyone want to master communication in life. She makes class fun and involving. You have to participate as it is a commuication class. Have to write more journals then i like, but they do make you learn about yoursleves. A!

She was very easy to follow along with and lets you know exactly what she expects from you. First half of semester will seem super easy, but then gets a little harder when you have a speech due every couple weeks. She is an excellent teacher and very easy going. I signed up for 2 of her classes for the Summer. At mid point, I was failing 1 of her classes bc I kept missing due dates by accident. She was patient with me, allowed me to complete assignments I missed, & gave me partial credit. The semester is ending & she let me know I have a B in both courses. Great, caring & wise. Professor O is a great professor. She challenges you to dig deeper and relate the material to your life. She responds to emails fast. As long as you follow the syllabus and submit your work on time, you will surely pass. She even allows late assignments with partial credit. She is very understanding. Her podcasts are very informative and relatable.

If you need Public Speaking, take Professor "O"!! Her podcast helpful, answers emails and organized online. Discussions, 2 test, 3 speeches and last speech with live audience of 10. Follow her guidelines and due dates. She teaches steps of creating an outline to the speech delivery. I don't enjoy speaking, but Prof O made it very, very enjoyable!!!

This is by far one of my favorite classes and professors. Professor O is caring and loves everyone in her class. She loves when you participate and will notice if you're having an off day. Her lectures are very simple and easy to understand and will let you ask as many questions as you need. You will need to buy the textbook and it is used a lot.

If you want to improve your communication skills in a basic Human Communication class, there is simply no other professor that is better than her. Prof. O'Connor was so kind to all of her students and cares about every student. This is just proving that she is doing her job correctly. There is only a midterm and final, and a few sporadic quizzes.

Professor O'Connor was an amazing professor, truly loved by her students. She cared deeply and made class enjoyable. There were several assignments, both in and outside of class, plus 3–4 exams including a midterm and final. Everything was clearly laid out, but she didn't always accept late work, so stay on track.

I didn't expect this class to have such a huge impact on me. It didn't require much mental work to get through, but required much introspection into the self. It flipped the way I view my relationships with others and inspired me to become a better person.
