In the beginning I thought it would be hard in the algebra class. Professor Saylor really wants you to understand Algebra and ahe will go over many examples and show you steps by steps. Lauie Saylor is THE BEST math teacher I've ever had. I had her for Prealgebra and Beginnig passing with A's. She simplifies what seems to be hard, she will give you one on one attention if needed. She also post review tests that are great for studying since they are similiar and she lets you correct what you get wrong for half credit.

Ms. Saylor is the best teacher ever. I would definitely recommend her to everybody - after I get a spot in her class of course!! I barely passed high school algebra and I am now getting an A+ all because of her teaching skills. She's a sweetheart, fun, and is always willing to give one on one time.

There are just not enough words for someone so special as she. Ms. Saylor will always be an excellent addition at HCC. I was so scared of math 0012 and 0024 took her for both and over came my fear. She is very helpful, she does not criticize or make you feel dumb like most math professors, she is sincere about wanting you to learn math. LOVE HER.

Take this class. Take notes ask questions and do your homework and there is no reason you shouldn't pass this class. Never used the textbook for my class just used MYMATHLAB

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. She is an incredible Prof. She keeps you interested and makes you enjoy math. Homework on MathLab, mini quiz once a week. Exams are easy if you are prepared, she reviews before hand and also offers help if you need it. Keep up with your HW and do well on exams and its an easy class.

Awesome teacher!!! Highly recommend! Do your hmwk, quizzes, take good notes, be in class on time bc lets face it, if you're not there how will you learn? Its not fair to other students when she has to take time to re-explain what she just did 5 min before you came in. Be there on time do the work and you'll be fine!She is also a fair grader too!

Ms. Saylor is a very good professor. She keeps you interested and stays on topic. I took her summer hybrid class and it was amazing. She gives a study guide for every test and her group final insures that you get practice for the final exam, so if you stay focused there is no way you will not pass.

This was a hybrid class, I recommend anyone who my struggle in algebra to take her. I have a problem with remembering the formulas. but with the way she teaches and helps the students that do struggle seems to make it through. I was out of school for thirty years and this was the first "A" I have gotten in any type of algebra class.

Mrs. Saylor is an excellent teacher. She is very detailed when explaining everything and if you still have questions she's more than happy to help. If you failed her class it had nothing to do with her teaching. I've already signed up to take MAT1033 and MAC1105 with her too (enrollment for Summer and Fall is open).She's on of the best hands down.

Ms. Saylor was very helpful. Helped you understand everything from the basics of math to college level. A total of four tests and a final throughout the semester and a lot of MyMathLab homework.

Online "hybrid" course so only had class once a week. Saylor is willing to help and answer questions. Online modules are pretty helpful too and most of your grade comes from online quizes done at home. 2 In class tests and a final exam. Pretty simple class. If you're somewhat competent in math I'd recommend the hybrid course and DEFINITELY Saylor!

She really deserves the 5.0 rating. I'm horrible in Algebra and subsequently hate it but she's an amazing teacher. So helpful and funny even at 8am. Only in her class could I have received a B in Algebra.

Amazing professor. I failed 1033 twice taking it online in the past, but got an A+ once I took it in her hybrid course. I've taken 1105 and 1147 with diff prof since having Saylor, and she was the best of the bunch.

Wonderful professor. She uses ALEKS and I loved it. Do your ALEKS pie everyday (one hour is enough) and you will pass the class with the flying colors. If you want to earn an A, than attend her class because she really can teach.

She is so goofy! Her test were easy,but make sure to study your butt off. Also, she gives test practices, and you can take it as many times as you want. The practice is exactly like the test just different answer. She's the best, honestly. I am not good at Math and I passed with a B+.

Aleks hybrid class, meets once a week and goes over all the new problems, answers questions and is very responsive thru Canvas. Clear instructions on when what is due, gives lots of feed back and help. Pretty funny and tries to make lecture entertaining. Recommend her.

I had Ms. Saylor for MAT0028 and MAT1033 and we used the Alek's hybrid system. It's a TON of work but it makes you better prepared and understand math a lot better. Saylor is amazing, I wish I could have her as a math teacher forever. She takes her time, is really helpful. Just put in the time, and you'll do fine.

Saylor is awesome! She was my first college math prof and I would love to take her again. Whole class is on ALEKS and she is quick to respond to emails, even on weekends. Cannot recommend her enough! She is always willing to help and genuinely cares that you succeed. Ask questions if you don't understand a topic or you will struggle.

This class had the best discussion questions of any class I've taken. They are the normal BS questions but helpful in navigating the course. Weeks 1-3 are average, weeks 4-5 are pretty hard but weeks 6-8 were easy and there was not much reading or homework.

She provides MANY different sources for learning and is always available to help when needed. I took this course online and she responds to questions very quickly. While the online version of MAT 1033 is primarily completed through ALEKS, Professor Saylor doesn't cease to still act as a presentable and a respectable teacher. She's prompt with her responses when you need help and willingly provides positive feedback should you do well on finishing assignments ahead of schedule or on an exam or quiz.

Probably the best math teacher I've ever. I've struggled with math in the past but she makes things extremely easy. Attendance is graded but you can miss a few classes and still be okay. Lots of homework but it ends up helping you in the long run.

I took Professor Saylor's class online. She was very attentive & wants all students to do well. Although the material can be challenging, there are numerous study aids & she offers to help anyone who needs it. There is a proctored Mid-term and Final but she gives a Very Helpful prep quiz beforehand that can be taken repeatedly to help to ace them.

Professor Saylor had a wonderful way of making Statistics fun and easier to learn. Although some of the work can be challenging, she provides excellent study material and cares about her students doing well. As long as you master her reviews, you can ace the proctored finals. Fantastic teacher!!

We only have 3 tests, including the final exam which were all honorlock but still as long as you do the ALEKS work then you will be fine! she also provides practice quizzs for each test that you can take as many times as needed and it takes the highest score, and shows you exactly what will be on the test. She seems to genuinely care about teaching

Good professor. I just wished she posted lecture videos or videos of her actually teaching the content instead of watching random people on youtube work the problem. Other than that she is a good professor. Very understanding, responsive, and helpful. She grades very fair. Would take again.
