She was an interesting teacher, but she grades SUPER hard on her papers!

I took her for my British Literature 2 class and VERY much enjoyed it. She had just reformatted her class, so if you dont want to write papers she's not the teacher for you. We wrote three 5-6pg papers instead of exams.

Seriously, the people complaining about Dr. Angel are a bunch of lazy whiners. If everyone got A's, then what the heck would an A mean? I took her class and thought she was great. Sure, I had to work hard, but that's ok because I'm not lazy and actually want to earn my good grade.

It's crazy to me that people find this class hard. She is a wonderful teacher and there's no possible way you will fail if you go to class and do your homework. Honestly, at first I strongly disliked the class but when I started to buckle down it was soooooo easy. She's eccentric and loves to teach - something a lot of teachers lack. Recommended!!!

I took her for Maymester afraid of the reviews I saw on here. However, I quickly realized that these were false. Dr. Angel was a great teacher! She made Maymester more than bearable, and I actually enjoyed the class occasionally. If you attend a real university and are looking for an good summer school class, take her!

Rather than just giving you an A for showing up, you'll actually learn from Dr. Angel if you give her the chance and act like an adult. Dr. Angel taught me how to write a good paper, and that skill has served me well in my upper-level classes while some of my peers struggle with basic writing concepts. Take Dr. Angel and learn something!

Dr. Angel is a fabulous professor! She is always quick to encourage and help if you are ever struggling. I was very afraid to take her class at first, but she is very personable and just an all around good professor! I would definitely encourage you to take this class. I even took it during the summer and the course load wasn't too crazy.

Dr Angel is a good professor. She's firm up front, but eases as the class progresses (does dual credit). teaches in a manner that captivates, and reduces redundancy. many of the items i learned could be used for other assignments. teaches ideas and not just busy work. show up, do your work, ask questions, and you will do fine.

A good teacher. Dont be afraid to ask questions, and try to build a relationship with her as your teacher. Do your work. Visit her in office hours if you have questions. WRITE YOUR PAPERS FOR WHO IS READING THEM, NOT FOR YOU. All in all a good teacher and resource.

I love her. She really is a great instructor. She's funny, and keep the class entertained. She really cares about her job, so you really need to actually try in her class. Her only downside is that she does not allow you to make up quizzes if you were absent, and SOMETIMES life happens, but you just have to take a 0 for a quiz grade.

Dr angel was cool to have she's funny and chill although there was a lot of draft paper writing it wasn't terrible but textbooks only used one and it was in the beginning of the semester but you have to attend the class or you will get behind

Don't try to do things last minute. She has pretty much everything laid out in her syllabus, just read it. Do what you need to and you'll pass.

Taking Dr. Angel for Engl 1302 Maymester. We're covering a lot on The Hunger Games and some other pop culture material. She's funny, let's us go early as long as our work is done, & she's clear about what she wants on assignments. Just make sure you understand what she's asking for and make your point clear. Don't make it harder than it has to be.

Expects you to read assignments and participate in class discussions. Schedule time with her to go over your papers in plenty of time for revisions and your are guaranteed to get a good grade.

definitely not an overly difficult grader as some of the other reviews are contending, professor angel is very reasonable! her papers are straight-forward and class is a pleasure. she's quirky, intelligent and absolutely there to help you. she accepted a late paper from me (honest mistake on my part) - no questions asked, no points deducted.

Professor Angel has got to be my favorite professor! She is so easily relatable and is always willing to help give you some ideas for a good paper. She does make you write a lot, but that's how english classes go. I have taken her class for English and Brit Lit and She is just amazing! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HER!

Dr. Angel was an absolute joy to learn from. She's hilarious, fun, and is unbelievably brilliant. I had the privilege of taking two honors courses with her and am considering taking another even though I have graduated from Collin College. Collin College is blessed to have her on their staff.

Took Dr. Angel for British Literature & loved it. She's funny and makes boring topics interesting. She allows up to (but no more than) 5 absences. Definitely not a blow off class but if you are willing to put in the effort its an A for sure. Great Professor!

Never bored in her class. Hilarious, lots of pop culture references, material is very relatable and relevant. Always available to speak with (although consider scheduling appointments near paper due dates ahead of time as they fill up quickly) and gives great feedback on how to improve. Avoid skipping class!!

Summer II: exhausting! A paper was due every other day! Quirky and funny, but obviously tough on citation because you're in college now. We watched Stranger Than Fiction and Slumdog Millionaire (with a pizza party) in class. Wrote papers on them and on the Hunger Games books. I hated peer review because my peers couldn't review but she was great!

The first paper i turned in i got a C+ which is not acceptable for me. After that I made 100's on three of my other essays. The key is booking appointments with her so that she can help you correct your paper before its due! If you wish to do well you have to put in the work, simple as that. She gives you a ton of freedom & I learned a lot from her

She was awesome! Really funny and helpful when I had questions. If you are someone who doesn't try in class, it's not for you. But then again, maybe college isn't for you at all.

Dr. Angel has a fun class but she is the toughest and most unsympathetic grader ever. She says an average paper that meets all the requirements is a C letter grade. B and A are reserved for exemplary papers, whatever that means. I consider myself to be an average writer but i got a 50 on the first paper even after attending the writing center.

If English isn't your thing, I would try to avoid this prof. However, as it was for me, I found her to a breath of fresh air in comparison to the boring snooze-fest that was my other classes. She's funny and doesn't make me want to smack my head into a desk just from hearing her talk. She's great. *Mostly used textbooks for lab units; try sharing!

II would definitely recommend anyone who is looking for a solid, funny, and entertaining teacher to take this class. Tips: 1. Dont chatter during class, because she will ask you to share. 2. Pay attention, she goes over everything that will be on the test. 3. Dont plagarize, she will call you out and you dont want that trouble. Good luck!

Really nice, if you need help just ask for it. Make sure to schedule appointments to go over your paper. If you do that you're guaranteed a good grade because she'll give you good feedback as to what she wants to see.

An amazing Professor, she makes sure you will succeed. Not only in her classes but she sets you up for success in other classes as well. Highly recommend her.

Dr. Angel is a great teacher! She has office hours specifically designed to give you feedback on your papers. Go to her and have her review your paper before you turn it in!! She gives her rules at the beginning of the semester and does not accept late work. Only five absences were allowed. I loved this class.

I loved Dr. Angel! She was always so sweet and helpful! I took her ENGL 1301 summer course and I thought it was pretty easy! Make sure to read the chapters because sometimes there are pop quizzes! Overall I loved the class, her, and the environment! 10/10

I got a low grade on the first paper, but then for the next ones I went to office hours for her to look over it and ended up doing very well on those. This class isn't easy, but it's not awful. Dr. Angel is really nice and helpful in office hours. I took her for dual credit and ended up with a 94.

Overall Professor Angel teaches a fun class. She gives you all the information you need and is accessible outside of class by appointment and email. She is a hard and fair grader. Ask for help and you are sure to succeed in her class. Keep all of your work because she does a binder check. She let me leave class so I could go home and get my binder.

Overall Professor Angel teaches an engaging class. She was very unforgettable and always made us laugh. Tough grader, but provides awesome feedback. She is available outside of class. This course was very difficult so you should expect to write various multiple page essays as well as other assignments. As a professor, she was excellent. Her instructions were clear cut and she provided plenty of office hours in which she reviewed your essay and give you honest feedback. Be prepared to write ALOT.

She had amazing lectures and allowed for questions. She gave many different assignment options, so if your not very good at essays you can do an exam or presentation. Her quizzes were also very easy and straight from the text.

I loved Dr. Angel, she made this semester so easy. She was super easy to talk to. There is homework, quizzes and labs but it is all manageable. What helped me most was scheduling conferences with her. Just have your draft ready and she tells you everything you need to change and add. I ended the semester with a 97. She was an amazing professor:)

Doctor Angel was very caring toward all of her students and her lectures were very easy to follow and she was very knowledgeable about what she was talking about. She was always willing to stay after class to help me with my work and her lectures were funny. I only had to write one essay for this class. I would absolutely take her class again.
