she makes her quizzes so easy by putting a practice quiz on blackboard before the quiz. all you need to do is go over the practice quiz, and the questions on the actual quiz will be EXACTLY the same, except the numbers may be changed. She writes on the board a lot, but her notes are thorough.

Lavinia is a great professor! I don't understand the comment about her being rude -- she has always been so kind to me! Although the subject matter is complicated to me, Lavinia teaches it in a way that makes sense. She doesn't solely rely on PowerPoints to teach, which is nice as well. I would take a class with her again.

Her examples are sometimes hard to understand but she is a great teacher! She will help you every single time you ask for help! You just need to come to class and write all the note down, and sometimes read the textbook too. Sounds tough but the textbook she uses is super easy to read! Like 30 mins and you are good to go :) Toooootally recommend !!

Lavinia is an extremely caring professor, she will help you when you need it. Intermediate microeconmics is a tough course no matter who the professor is you have to work for it. In Lavinia's class if you try she will give you marks. She is an awesome prof and definatley recommended.

Terrific, terrific instructor - probably the best of the best. It was amazing to watch how good she is with graphs. She goes out of her way to help students. Very fair grader. Best of all - no group work! The weekly online assignments were a little time consuming, but worth it. She's also funny and personable. You'll enjoy her class!

Lavinia was one of my favourite profs at MRU. Although the course material can be hard and confusing she does her best to clarify it and gives great examples. Going to class is important as she gives a lot of info on what will be on quizzes and exams. Would take any class she teaches.

Good teacher I've had her about 3 times for different Econ courses. Don't skip class she doesn't take to well to it. some of her courses require you to attend class for a free 10% but not mandatory. She usually gives an extra 10% project at the end of year and it's an easy 100% as long as you show effort. Very helpful and understanding.

My favourite prof so far at MRU. She explains everything VERY well and clearly. She is always there to help if you need questions, and her lectures are engaging and not boring. Online assignments are tough, but worth it. She tries to give everyone the best mark possible!

Lavinia is a fantastic prof! I was worried that Econ would be difficult because math isn't my strong suit, but her in-class lectures, along with attending some of her office hours, made the quizzes so easy! In addition, she doesn't have a midterm, and the final is optional if you play your cards right throughout the semester and do well on quizzes.

we had the ability to choose one of 3 marking schemes that best suited the student's learning style. One of which included a 0% of total mark was your final.. but quizes and assignements are worth a lot. This was great.

This course might the tough depends on students understanding and practice. The assignments from her might, or will be relatively hard and with relatively large amount of questions, but are very related with the finals. The lecture she gave is super amazing and understandable. She gave great examples to explain economic problems and calculations.

If you are a fast learner , you will be okay. If you want more of a slow paced lecture with practice go for someone else

Decent prof, but she does got at a fast pace, often skipping steps or not breaking things down fully. The exam review covers 40% of the actual exams. Bones assignments will help.

Lavinia is an amazing professor, she is very kind hearted and is always willing to help students. I really enjoyed having her as a professor, and would definitely take another course with her again! She is a fair marker, and the 3 schemes she does really motivates students to focus more in the units for the quizzes.

Professor Moldovan has an exceptional teaching style! Many future students will be really delighted to know that she makes her final exam optional provided that students write all 5 quizzes, get at least 60% on all of them, and get at least 60% on the Maple Take Home Test. She also makes sure to give only a reasonable amount of homework.

Lavinia writes all of her notes and examples on the board and the powerpoint slides on blackboard are of no help and we never used the textbook. I enjoyed her class, she really made Micro come easily to me. But since she does hand write all of her notes if you're going to miss a class make sure you have a friend to share what you miss.

"If I can write it on the board you guys can also write it." The class was very easy, nothing in the class was very complex. Gives help after class times.

Lavinia might be my favourite prof at MRU. She is absolutely incredible and it is clear she knows her topic inside and out. Her grading schemes allow you to skip the final if you do well enough over the semester. As long as you attend class and take good notes it would be pretty hard to fail.

-Five 40 minute Quizzes given throughout the semester - do good on 4 of the 5 quizzes and you wont need to give a final. This is great because if you're taking 5 classes like me, not having to study for that extra final is great. -Lectures are written on the blackboard - notes what are on the quizzes

super easy class! really nice proffessor! quizzes are easy, just come to every class and make sure you understand. Everything in her notes are EXACTLY what is on the quizzes. She uses the scheme system so do all 5 quizzes and you dont have to do a final! maple modules i found more difficult that lyryx but wasnt bad overall. Also lecutures are fun!

Absolutely amazing instructor for an intro level economics class. Lecture notes are very clear and easy to understand (just make sure you go to class). The quizzes were based off the notes. The grading scheme is fair and the final exam is optional if you do well on the quizzes and assignments.

This was my first business class and Lavinia is one of the best profs I've had at MRU. As a communication major, Lavinia's teaching was easy to understand and the examples were clear. The quizzes are pretty easy if you paid attention in class as is the hw and Lavinia is always there for you when you have questions. 10/10 would totally take again.

Lavinia is the best when it comes to ECON, I had her twice for intro micro and intermediate micro and she is there to help you. Her grading scheme is very flexible depending on the student and her quizzes relate to coursework and notes. Her lectures and notes are great and she does have a lot of assignments but they help you succeed in econ

Lavinia is amazing, she teaches everything you need to know in class and you don't need a textbook. With that in mind you need to be at every class to get her notes and explanation. She's one of the best professors I have ever had. This is still not an easy A because you need to know your stuff, but Lavinia makes it so that you can get an A.

Lavinia is awesome. As long as you show up for class, take notes, complete the online assignments, do the practice midterm and final that she provides, you will an A. No papers or group work (gotta love econ). She also gives you the option of doing an econ-related project for bonus marks. Overall. 10/10, would take another econ class with her.

Lavinia is a solid professor. Show up for class, take down her detailed notes, and study the assignment problems and you shouldn't have much issues with this course. Midterm and Final are both fair. However, the online assignments can be a drag. No papers other than the bonus assignment. Overall, somewhat easy A. Would take her again.

Lavinia is hilarious, and one of my favourite profs I have ever had. She cares about her students, and that is evident in the way she tries hard to make sure you get the best grade. In intro to micro econ: 5 quizzes, submit 4 and do not have to write the final. Take homes test at the end, online assignments, & other than that no extra work.

She's willing to help outside of class and knows everyone's names. 20%: photography assignment, 10%: small assignments that if you get 70%, you get FULL marks. Lavinia is by far my favourite professor at MRU! Her classes are super organized and structured. The only downside is that she doesn't post the notes on bb, but that does motivate you to go to class. Stats is a hard class, but she's more than willing to help outside of class and gives you lots of opportunities to make up for missed marks.

One of THE best profs at MRU as she cares so much about students' progression and goes out of her way so they understand and leave the course educated with a high mark! As long as you take good notes and ask any questions if you are confused as she's great at responding, the class will be a breeze. The weights of her assignments were also very fair

She is honestly one of the nicest profs I've had at MRU. Her lectures are great, using NO slides, explaining every topic step by step. Her quizzes are fairly straight forward, and if you study the questions she assigns, you can easily get 90%+. Online, she as a great format, and encourages participation. Def will look to take more classes with her.

She has great lectures and her notes are always posted so you can review them later. She really cares about her students and wants them to succeed. Lavinia will not make lectures boring. Meaning she understands the transition into WFH school and takes the toll off of adding more pressure. She is very sweet and will do anything to help her students excel in the class. The lectures are recorded but she loves engagement, it will help you as well.

Awesome Professor, would definitely take again. Instead of a final she does a bi-weekly short test on what you've learned in the last three classes. She's a really easy to like professor that takes things lightly and tries her best to make class feel involved and enjoyable.

Best prof ever! This course involves lot of math and for someone like me who took math 3 times in High school, she made it seem like a breeze. It was easy to catch onto all the concepts. She is a just marker and if she sees that you at least tried solving the problem on your quiz then she gives you a mark on the effort. 10/10 would recommend her!

She does a really good in incorporating humour and real-life examples to make it easier to understand concepts. Though attending lecture is not mandatory, I would suggest going to them as they help you prepare for the quizzes, instead of learning the material yourself. Her grading criteria is transparent and not confusing. I would recommend her!

I loved her!! She was super sweet and I wish I could have her again. I would recommend taking her class. Her lectures make sense and are straight forward. There's a reason her classes are always full. She's extremely interactive instructor, as long as you attend all her lectures and ask for clarification if you need any, this is an easy class to boost your GPA. Don't be late for this class cause she does get annoyed. The chapter quizzes every two weeks really make it hard for you to fail.

for this class we had 6 quizzes throughout the semester and two assignments if you go to class every period you wouldn't really need to study other then go over the notes before the quizzes. She does a really good job explaining everything and goes over the quiz in detail the following class. she seems to really care about her student.

She will encourage you to participate in class lectures, but it helps you to understand class concepts more. She's super nice and friendly, if you practice the assignment questions you'll do good on the bi-weekly quizzes.

One of my fav profs for this semester, she has great lectures (I only went to the second half of the semester) but the content is explained so well and in a way that your not falling asleep in class. You really don't have to show up but if you do I promise you won't regret it and it will help your understanding.

Best Econ teacher ever, although attendance isn't mandatory and she does post the notes online going to her class is definitely helpful as she is very hands on. You get 2 very easy assignments and the tests are very straights forward if you just pay attention and do the in class practice. Definitely take her class if you can.

Honestly a great prof. I got to know a lot more about econ, and genuienly am considering to take as a minor. Classes are engaging, not mandatory but I would recommend to go. Tests are reasonable, not too hard or easy, as long as you do your HLS assignments and readings (sometimes) you should have an A in the class. Best teacher I had this sem fs.
