WHAT CAN I SAY! HE'S SUCH A GREAT PROFESSOR. HE MAKES EVERYTHING INTERESTING AND IS AN EXCELLENT TEACHER. HE KNOWS HIS STUFF AND HAS A GREAT PERSONALITY AND A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR. THE COMPUTER DEPARTMENT SHOULD HAVE MORE PROFESSORS LIKE HIM!

Great information provided for jobs and new technology.
make sure that students understands the subject being thought
very skillful. I beleive he brings his work experience to class. He tries to make students to think in logical way.
Great Professor
A very good teacher, tries to make everyone understand the subject and has a great sense of humor...
every encouraging
His lab projects are difficult and it is unclear how he grades.
He likes to draw examples on the board a lot.
The guy teaches you the material. If I had had him for my previous classes, I would be a far better programmer by now.
He seems to really like the material, and know the subject.
Meh. Tests are passable by memorization - it's not really necessary to master the material to pass the class. Fools think the tests are too hard, but fools can promise not to take the rest of the sequence and get a "C". He knows the material though and tells relatively interesting topical anectdotes.
did not like the course and would recommend taking it with another teacher
WOW!!! He is the best professor of the CIS depertment in my opinion. He is very helpful and explain the matarials as many times as you want. He is a very nice guy. I really enjoyed his class. Moreover, If you ever have to take CIS 260, you should take with him. It is a very easy class to get a good grade. I didn't have to work hard to get A for
3 thumbs up. not boring, helpful and very knowledgeable. get him when you're in La Guardia CC, taking up computer courses.
Needs to enforce his own grading rules. Too many C students take advantage him and hand in stuff very late and demand an A. Not fair to real A students. Course was too easy.
EXCELLENT
E-Commerce is a very intense course. However, Prof. Muller offers his extended knowledge and background experience to ensure the class understands the subject. He also tries to make the subject as interesting to the students as possible as well as he is also makes himself available when needed. Prof. Muller is an execellent professor and highly rec
If You study and do your work, this class though it is difficult, it will end positively.
Good comunicator skills.
Excelent overall
Very good teaching ability
GOOD TEACHING SKILL!!
Great teaching skills.
Interesting stories on the power software and the dangers of programming errors; textbook was not that great; he is a good communicator; as an engineering major I am going to make sure to include more programming now.
He has lots of energy and is a good communicator (jokes around with the class), but as a teacher he is lacking rigor; the textbook was almost never used. Overall he is o.k.
In short: he is an okay teacher; very good speaker; patient; hard to get an A in his class; passing is not too hard; he knows the material; works hards to explain the material; does not really use the textbook.
In the object oriented programming class he is an excellent programmer, just needs to be much more serious about the class. Funny guy but the class hardly learned anything. He never checked the attendance and the final was so simple. I got an A- and that is an easy class to pass. Just read the book and learn yourself.
I WOULD SAY PROF. MULLER IS A intellectual instructor. HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS TEACHING AND IS VERY EASY IN CLASS. I WOULD articulate in general HE IS A fastidious PROFESSOR.
He is great. Allways doing his best to explain and put all the info in students' heads.
lots of energy, knows his stuff, and he does work with you in the lab and that is a big help. I did not know how powerful software was until this class.
AWESOME PROFESSOR, KEPT IT COOL THROUGHOUT THE YEAR... DEFFINATE RECOMONDATION
He knows the material and tells stories that are somewhat good. he spends time talking about how software controlled equipment makes building things easier. He gives you lab work, but we were never sure how he grades it---he does spend time with you in lab.
He is an okay professor, he mostly taught us material in his own way rather than by going through the textbook. All you have to do is pass the midterm and the final. The stuff he taught us was interesting and it made me learn computer hardware in greater detail.
he is cool..
Professor L.Muller teaches the class computer architecture very well penmanship, art skills (drawing logic circuit, CU, and other components), and Lectures was excellent (easy to follow). The test was very fair high recommend professor in any computer science course!
He is wonderfull
He is a very good professor
The class is a very relaxed atmosphere, and he seems to prefer speaking about what software can do, about as much as how to actaully program. Also, he tries to be fair but that gives too many breaks to poor students, not fair to real A students. But overall, he tried to deliever a balanced view of the subject or side subjected covered.
Class is definitely a relaxed atmosphere - definitely geared for those who are REALLY interested in Comp. Science and learning to program. Recommend that you work A LOT on your own if you're average (or ask for help from him) because the coursework requires a lot of practice. He's a good teacher and will help you if you ask for it.
Great professor, lots of jokes and anecdotes. Goes extremely out of his way to help students, by posting links and resources on Blackboard. His CIS-101 class is geared towards programming beginners, and helps people learn the basics, while helping people learn the background, and become motivated to program.
The Best Prof In the CIS Department. He is a well rounded professional that loves to share his knowledge with his students. He teaches beyond what's in the text to make his classes interesting and assigns cool projects. He is very helpful and a cool prof. If you read the textbook, notes in class and do all the assignments you will get a good grade.
no comment.
This professor is really good. He does everything to make students understand difficult concepts. He also tried to find additional tools such as software simulators to help students understand circuits. He is always fair with the tests he gives and the way he grades. So expect to get a good grade.
He is one of the BEST professors in the CS dept....trust me guys....he is a world full of knowledge in himself...having an awfull lot of experience and information in almost any computer related field.....
He is a very good professor as everyone knows. Very helpful, funny, cool, explains very well. I took CIS 286 and 295 with him. He is a fair grader as his exams are not hard. I am not in LaGuardia anymore and I miss his teaching style, I didn't find it anywhere. He goes in details and even explains programming line by line. The Best professor!
I took his c++. While taking his class I only used the book as a reference. He got me interested in programming so much that some of my friends and I started web programming on the side. Great professor and also a good person. He would even advise student on advanced programming topics. He would encourage students to have fun when programming.
very nice guy but not clear about your grading gets confused and changes it around alot. also was absent half the time and expected us to be experts for the final. will not recommend him
very nice proffesor.. few absents....Very nice anecdotes about computer sciencie world..he knows what is going on with technology now... keep in touch with emails ..very nice..gives good examples in his explanations
He is an awesome teacher. I think he might be the best teacher in the department. he know what he is talking about, very very well. he is very helpful. you might not want to miss his class because you will miss out on amount of information he covers in each session. overall awesome teacher.
he's one of the best professor i had ever seen. he teach very well. he is one of those professor who know almost everything about computers, and also share his knowledge with his student.
He is awsome!
He is such a bad professor I ever had in my life.if take class with him u will definitely loose your grade. The average of his class B-.if you really work hard then you will get B+ or A-.He is always off tropic.I strongly recommend all of the student not to take his class. Most of the students fail in his class.
Great Professor, he made the work feel easy.
Horrible. He knows absolutely NOTHING about astronomy. You ask him a question and he says "I don't know". Goes off on tangents and you basically waste class time sitting in your desk, listening to him read off a digital copy of the textbook.
My advice: learn everything this man knows. He is brilliant and interesting to listen to. His lectures are clear and organized. He also goes the extra mile to help students. Those who left bad remarks have have no idea what a bad professor really is.
He is such a sweetheart! I had a blast having him as my professor. He kept me entertained with his astronomical jokes and he taught me well. I definitely left the class with knowledge of how the universe began. I'd choose him as a professor any day.
this professor may appear playful, fun but he is useless. he wont help u toward your final grade, he wont give extra things to do. he most importantly but not least he grades extremely hard. if have him as you professor watch out
In a word he is the BEST teacher in Computer Science department. Unlike others, he knows stuff in depth and knows how to teach. He will motivate you and make you believe in yourself. Take his class if you want to learn. Don't forget to do your part to get a good grade.
he is one of the best professor i've had he was Patience with me. he works with you if your not understanding the material...hes the best...
He's the best science prof ever..... i dun like science class but he changed it become fun n very interesting. He's smart, fun and friendly. Thumbs up....
He is an extremely energetic, fun, and knowledgable professor. It is truly a pleasure to have Dr. Muller as my professor. He has an e-version of the textbook and puts it up in class, and explains the book point by point. Exams are from the home work he assigns and he gives partial credit for attempts. Thank you Professor Muller.
no doubt,great prof. ever,really funny,retake exam,dont worry about attendace,just super great
Great Professor. I would love to have him again for 242.
He only gave a final lab project and would not really help with it. The class was hard.
He makes the book understandable and showed us how to use wolframalpha for help with homework. He only spend two classes just solving problems with the class it was helpfull, but he nneds to do it everyweek. he also teaches fast.

Intro to Comp Sci. Although he is very disorganized and goes on very interesting tangents about the government and hackers, he is very funny and helpful. Compared to the problems we solve in class his exams are total cake. His exams are writing program fragments so you have to know your stuff. Practice often and success will be yours.
all you people who say hes bad u guys are pathetic. he is very helpful and a funny dude. he jokes but always has a point to make. I respect him a lot and i would only take him as my math professor he has P.hd and thats basically all to say so if u cant still respect someone drop out of college
One of the best professor at Lagcc
he only gives just a midterm and final. he will help you in the lab if you ask. overall ok to good.
Has a good knowledge of the material. has a lots of practical examples. can be very funny making the class interesting. A very pleasant personality and approachable. Taking advanced C++ with him
The best professor I've had in my life. He's very helpful. If u don't understand I go over and over till u get it. I recommend him for any computer science
he is a good communicator
No real textbook for the class, but he showed us how to use free software to build computer logic and it was the best part. highly recommend.
Very good communicator, makes the class interesting with his jokes. Very smart and very helpful, easy to talk to. Overall probably the best professor I had in my 3 years of college. But you do have to do your part outside of class, I've spent hours trying to get my code to work, researching, reading etc.
learned a lot.
Obviously he knows a lot about computers, programming and stuff , very knowledgeable. But he can't teach. he uses advance terminology when he "explains" stuff which makes students really confused. Not really helpful, I'm so disappointed about this professor..
He explains everything, even if you don't need it to pass, labs get harder and harder until they become impossible. You will need to read and read.
Excellent professor, his lectures are so captivating you don't want to miss a single word. Has very broad knowledge and eagerly shares it with the students. Leaves no question unanswered and usually knows the answer right away. Truly passionate about technology, programming and probably every aspect of life. I wish more professors were like him.
He is truly one of the best professors i have ever had. He has wonderful stories and great past experience. The criteria for passing is very straight forward. Do the labs and pay attention during class and the tests will be easy!
Professor Muller is always there for his students, the guy genuinely cares that students are learning (And hopefully enjoying) the material. He does like telling stories which are usually interesting, but he is prone to getting a bit side tracked at times. The class had a few projects and a midterm which aren't hard if you follow along in class.
This professor is one of the best professor in Lagcc. He is genius and take care of his students a lot. Should take him if you wanna learn.
By far the best and most inspirational professor I've had as a student. He is passionate about programming and teaching, and he goes out of the way to answer each & every question, reinforcing key concepts each class. He also encourages students to attend tech events and to really immerse themselves in the material outside the classroom.
He is definitely a good talker however sometimes he tends to get distracted from our lessons. We spent around 2-3 weeks just to review stuff we learned from the previous class. And even after that, we just reviewed the same material over and over again for the next and following weeks. We only have two test: midterm and final.
Good and passionate about what he teaching, however he goes off on tangents quite a bit. Some of his labs are difficult, as well as his final, so you have to work very hard. He does not give extra credit, although he does try to pass students which is helpful. Also learned a lot about the CS field through him.
Outstanding person. Funny, considerate, and respectful to students. You will enjoy this guy if you have him a chance. He is probably over qualified to teach.
His lecture made everything so easy pls he post his lecture on youtube to review as well. Concentrate on his class and learn. It is easy.
He knows the material and can explain it so it look easy, but take care to do your work because it quickly piles-up fast. no makeups or extra credits projects. He is funny, considerate, and respectful to students.
The best I've ever had
Gives quizzes, does not allow calculators! Explains electrical circuits.
Great teacher overall. He explains what he's teaching very clearly and will answer all questions. He tells you exactly what type of questions that are going to be on tests/quizzes/midterms/finals. He's marks you down if you come late to class so make sure you're always on time. Other than that just pay attention and you'll pass very easily.
I dont recommend him. He brags about his accomplishments. He didnt even follow his own syllabus while giving grades. Hes okayish! Find someone else!
Muller is DEFINITELY knowledge in programming. But his teaching style is essentially doing programming exercises... without really explaining the concepts.... which made it difficult to learn anything honestly. Few assignments, many multiple choice quizzes but you may have to self-study the concepts. Overall he's caring and not all that terrible.
Excellent professor
Worst professor I've had, thinks he is a comedian. He bombards you with information in a manner that is unorganized and confusing. I get that computer architecture is tough but no need to make it extra hard.
RUNNNNNNNNNN do NOT I REPEAT do NOTTTTTT take this professor at all. Extremely messy, taught us a brand new chapter right before finals.... Only talks about himself. please RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
The good: knowledgeable, passionate, funny. The bad: very very very very VERY unorganized
Awful.
Had him as a professor before I graduated LaGCC in 2008 and he mostly told the class Cold War stories such as Gas Pipe Explosions, Air Traffic Controllers Military Takeover, Fiber Optic Networks already installed underground in NYC in the '70s or early 80's, siphoning data from a fiber optic wire by directly tapping the wire w/ a needle. Epic prof.
He focuses on the big pictures and a couple of in-class projects.
DO NOT TRUST THE RATING. IT IS FAKE. He is the most terrible professor in LaGuardia. He likes to extend his class all the time and talks about his boring jokes. You CAN NOT understand what he wants to teach you because he doesn't understand it. He always takes one hour to talk about something useless and tell you this won't show on the exam.
Friendly, silly sense of humor, but disorganized. Easy exams, therefore easy A. Unfortunately, his coverage of topics is basic and clumsy, which will leave you unprepared for future advanced courses that you will need to take in senior college.
I can't call him a bad professor, but he has a major tendency to go off-track with the course syllabus and lectures. It will leave you confused when he jumps around topics that don't apply to the exams you will take. Overall, he is experienced and understands coding well, but does poorly at demonstrating that skill to be taught for others.
Professor Muller's teaching style is engaging, but the class can be challenging. Attend lectures, use the free textbook, and try tools like unstuck AI for study prep - this combo really helps. Overall, a solid course if you put in the work.
Not much of a good professor. Lecture is confusing since he teaches a lot of random stuff that won't be on any test. The test are small so loosing some questions messes you up. Really isn't clear and his reviews are huge for no reason when he's not going to use most of the topic in the test.
Super sweet professor. If you do the work, He will do his best to make sure you pass with an A and you will finish all his classes with a good knowledge about programming. Hilarious and always understanding. I'm gonna miss his classes.
