subject is not hard but most of the questions come from the text not the med terms. he is nice, but he tells lots of stories.

Read the book and learn the terms. Get A's on first 3 exams, you don't have to take the final.

This class is very easy as long as you go to class and read the textbook it should be an easy A. The professor is very knowledgeable and fun tells a lot of funny stories. I would definitely recomment him.

Great teacher. He is more interested in you knowing how to break down the words, which is key to passing the exams. By the end of the class, you will learn that if you were to read a medical chart you would understand almost 99% of it. Great teacher and tells alot of jokes.

This class was really cool. Dr. Newmann was awesome and was really interested in sharing his sotries and knowledge. He wanted you to learn. The tests are all about memorizing the words and their roots from the charts in the chapters. If you get A's on the first 3 tests you are exept from the final.

i took this class summer B and there is an extreme amount of imformation! You need to attend class to see what will be covered on the exam..even though attendance is not required. if you get A's on your 1st and 2nd or 3rd exams depending on which semester you take the class you are exempt from the final. i got a B+ but with a lot of study time!

His knowledge and experience make this class great. His jokes make it interesting. Basically you just have to memorize the terms in the book but after all it is a terminology class. I recommend taking him!

If you make A's on the first 3 tests you don't have to take the final. The tests are quite easy as long as you have read the chapters. Make sure to learn the prefixes & stuff at the beginning.

he says on the 1st day to read the book, focus on the prefix/suffix/roots tables- exams are just combos of these, ppl, can't get much more straight fwd than that. supplementary: chap exercises and reviews, use the cd to quiz yourself before exams (rec. going thru ALL learning styles). if you're confused, ask questions. voila, formula for an A.

Dr. Newman is a very helpful and easy-going prof. He keeps the class interesting w/ real stories. Attend is not mandatory but helps if you are missing that pt to earn an A.Don't get caught up in the hype of only studying the CD,questions do come from there but only a few.You MUST read the 3-4 pages chapters and most impor. understand ch. 1-5.

Def. take this class if your doing something for healthcare. Easy A! Use the book and ask him questions. He is super helpful. If you have taken both Anatomy classes then this class will be cake. You get A's on the first 3 exams you don't have to take the final. He is a doctor so he has MUCH experience. Great teacher.

Prof Newmann is a doctor by day and also teaches at FAU. He is very nice and extremely helpful. Book is a must as that is where all of your terms will be coming from. You don't need to go to class if you have the book. Reads directly from each chapter. Tests come from the terms in the book. Take him if you can.

Great professor, although I wish I didnt have to go to class because he read the book, but he base it on his experience in medical field. He is helpful, and i recommend him to anyone. Study the chapters and youll do fine. Book is highly needed.

easy teacher! you take 4 tests and the hightest 3 will count! attendance is not mandatory but it would help to go every class as he goes over all the terms! not too bad but again this is college and there are numerous words try him I got 2 A's and one B+ and I was allowed to exemp the final, getting an A :)

Almost never went to class and got an A. He is very clear on what he is going to test. The book is a must. Just study the chapter which is not hard at all and you will get an A. Very funny and makes class fun the times I attended.

Dr. Newmann is old school and still pretty awesome. Aside from a few some horrible Asian impressions (just offensive) and his constant reference to doctors as men (only) I know he understands that times have changed and he welcomes students from every background to talk with him and address issues. He's a teddy bear. Cheesy--take him. It's cake :)

This is my first semester at FAU and this professor is pretty awesome. He has stories that keeps you engaged. Does not take attendance. Just buy the book and read it. Its medical terminology trust me the words will come to you fast...if you take him you cannot get less than an A if you do, you are lazy and should drop out ASAP

I loved this class! I learned so much from it and though you have to study a lot it is definitely worth it! His exams are clear and easy, so study the material which is the book & you will pass.

He's hilarious. Yeah the class was pretty easy but I also thinks it helps loads if you've already taken anatomy. If not, you'll probably have study a little more than most people. I studied a few days before an exam and they were really fair. Got my A and didn't have to take the final!

This was by FAR the easiest class i've EVER taken. He gave 3 super easy 1-2 page papers. He is hilarious and great to talk to. Brings in guest speakers & leaves class early . Really wished he taught more classes bc i'd be guaranteed an A. Take him for terminology or health professions.

ONLY has like 5 tests and nothing else. Really nice teacher, and tries to help you. Tests get harder after the first test. ALWAYS know all of the prefixes and suffixes and study the illnesses. I suggest note cards cause they're very helpful, go to s.i. sessions.

Professor Newmann was great! He's really funny and tries to make it entertaining. I think it's kinda hard to teach terminology because there's only so much you can teach.. the students have to really memorize the terms to do well. Show up to class, and take down notes of what will be on the test. There are only 4 (he drops your lowest grade).

Very nice guy, wants his students to learn and do well. I enjoyed his stories as they were interesting which kept me engaged in the lecture. My major is accounting and this was one of my favorite classes. Go to class and read EVERYTHING in the book, even if it doesn't look important because it might be. The TAs are also very helpful.

Dr. Newmann was the best professor I had at FAU thus far. I took him last semester and I would take him again! I didn't even have the book and just used his PPTs to study from and still got an A. The tests aren't hard if you study. If you attend every class and have atleast a B+ in the class you do not have to take the final and you receive an A in the course. Professor Newmann is an awesome teacher provided you actually come to class and listen.

Awww I love him. Would take again 10/10. Only 4 grades, all 4 exams. If you learn the suffixes and combining terms; you are GOLDEN. I didn't study these and got an 82 and then I learned all the terms which helped me figure out what a word meant and I got 100%. His reviews are him telling you all the questions and sending you off lol.

Simple class. Just memorize the powerpoints and you should be good. Tests arent difficult if you have taken AP prior or if you just break down the words. Tells a lot of interesting stories, and will sometimes just tell stories instead of covering the material. Usually does a comprehensive review prior to exams. He didn't do one for one of my tests

There are only 4 tests. But he gives a review the class before with all the information you need to know for the test. You can exempt the final if you have over a 90 in the class. Super easy, google the classes and you can find study guides to pass. Loved him would definitely take another class with him teaching.

TAKE HIM. Hes a podiatrist and an absolute gem of a person. Doesnt take attendance at first, unless he notices people missing alot. Tests are easy, he tells you exactly whats on them. Its basically a refresher of A&P. Super intelligent man. Respect him, listen to him, and you'll learn more than just for grades. Hes awesome

I am just not sure why he has a 4.7 rating on here and not a 5.0 . I took him Spring 19' and I recalled that I never completed my ratings for him on here! one of the BEST PROFESSORS I have taken!

Very informative class. The professor is super funny . He says attendance is mandatory but I went once a week . Lecture is heavy only because he goes over a huge amount of slides per class. Read over the slides/Quizlet flashcards a couple times and you'll be good. The book is good for practice. The exams are super basic and simple. He's helpful

One of the best professor and I took this class as an elective. Really funny guy and he cares about his students. There's 4 test which are really easy if you pay attention in class. LISTEN TO THE REVIEW HE GIVES OR RECORD IT. The tests are the same as the review and even on the same order.

Class was simple memorization and only 4 tests in total to make up the whole grade. He provided the powerpoint with all the information needed for tests and discussed during class, so you could basically just look at the powerpoint if you wanted. Went over test questions before tests.

Only 5 easy assignments and 1 non-proctored exam. The bulk of the grade comes from attendance, so make sure you show up. It's an easy professor, perfect if you want to squeeze in an extra class but worried about the work load.

ONLY four tests; he uploads his lectures, and he covers everything in the lecture. The tests are on Lockdown, but they are super easy if you study. The easiest way to study is definitely through Quizlet. There are some Quizlets that are exactly like the test. If you pass (with an A) the first three tests, you don't have to take the last one.

The prof is funny and entertaining. Online lectures are recorded and watch whenever. Tests were lockdown browser but honestly easy if you understand basic terms/watched lecture. Mainly tests/quizzes but honestly easy. 100% recommend him for this class!

Extremely easy class. Only graded on 4 exams (3 if u have an A). The exams were 50 questions each and were so simple. Lots of vocab on PowerPoints but it's all memorization, just make a quizlet. He gives you extra credit at the end of semester.
