very hard and not helpful. no idea what he wants or says most of the time.

can't speak english, gets mad easily because he can't understand questions we asked. tests are horrible, his studyguides are better used to line bird cages.

This man is perhaps the worst instructor I have ever encountered so far. He cannot speak effectively and frequently stumbles over his words. He focusses a great deal on India and he loses his temper often. He should be dismissed for gross incompetence.

He was horrible teacher, he can barely speek english, jis voice is muffled, and his notes arent nothing like the tests. He laughs when you cant hear him and you ask for a repeat,he shruggs his shoulders and smile at you, like your the one with the problem

HORRIBLE! He told my class that the US Rev. War was fought with tanks and machine guns! What a wack! He is anti-American and can't speak English. Why is he wasting our time and money?! Get rid of him and do not take him!!!

He is a joke. Lectures and tests are in poor english. Very unprofessional. Study sessions are a waste of time and there is no point of taking notes. Your problems in his class aren't his problems. Everyone wishes he stayed in India.

i enjoy profs from different cultures with different perspectives. this guys problem isn't his personal politics or that he has a bit of an accent - the problem is he's unclear, rude and a complete waste of your time. take another prof for World History

Total joke. He couldn't speak english,when he talked,he was as loud as a church mouse. Satya, he never once tried to help me with any of the material if i asked him. Not to mention he chastised me once he found out i was patriotic. He also wouldn't let my class forget, "How ignorant americans are"!

worst professor ever. speaks no english, & if he did u wouldnt hear it anyway cuz his voice is all muffled. tests are extremely unclear and ridiculous, & the study guides he gives for them have nothing to do with the tests. i definitely do not recommend taking him under any circumstances.

First off, Satya is a HORRIBLE professor. He refuses to help students with questions they may have on assignments. He has very poor English and grammar. He even spells words incorrectly on the board. How he got his Masters from Tufts is beyond me. Can't believe my money was wasted on this man.

i have no idea why he is here. no one can understand him at all. he gives study guides, but he lectures,and if u dont understand what he says then u cant write down the correct info. def. he started makin his classes read his book.. If you take his class, get ready for a man who hates the country he teaches in. He makes you read his book on India, and it is about how the British are the cause of all problems. DON'T TAKE HIS CLASS!

Dr. Satya is the worst professor i think i will ever have. The guy teaches so biased he hates Amereica. I would transfer before taking him again. He gets on my nerves he swears hes so understandable and everyone else is deaf n retarded.

Satya is horrible. I attually didn't think I was doing horrible in his class until i got my grade. The majority of the class gets in the low teens on his tests which are out of thirty, his notes don't do much unless you can comprehend every word he is saying and write that down as well. My advice is to try and avoid him, but if your stuck try hard.

He is a very hard teacher to understand. He does not speak good english and he makes it obvious that he hate Americans and the British. It's the worst class that I have ever had to take. His class was pretty much a big joke.

BAD BAD BAD, everything you ever learn about somehow comes back on how America is a bunch of violent war happy drug-dealers. This guy is so wack He has the worst accent you cant understand him he makes you read a book he wrote on India, go figure, and write a paper on it, A work gets you at D and his tests are horrible avoid him at all costs

Terrible terrible professor. Didn't have an advisor but when I finally did the first thing he said was "I scheduled this meeting to tell you to drop Satya" He's the hardest professor on campus....I dropped him really fast. You have to buy a book that he wrote on cattle in India then write a book report.

This guy is crazy..I would like to know why he is still teaching. His test gave me nightmares and hard, I don't even think he could pass it. He has you buy his personal book, then write a report on it. This has to be against some university rule.

After bombing the first two exams despite hours of studying, I asked what I could do for extra help and he replied "nothing - it's just a 100 level course." What a jerk! I felt I had no choice but to drop the class. I agree when others say he is "Anti-American"...I caught on to that within the first week of class! Avoid him at all costs!

This man seriously needs to be deported. He generally teaches in opinions, not facts, and from my vantage point, his opinion is nothing more than wasted air. It is really a shame that since he is foreign, he is basically immune to be fired. His student reviews are a joke, as is his "teaching." Avoid him at all costs.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH SATYA!!!! Everything that the negative reviews spoke of is absolutely true...TRUST ME! I just finished is Hinduism course and it was awful...the test and the book just dont match up, and the facts are just mere opinions! Please dont do it to yourself!!!!

I am a strong student, this professor is horrible, the worst I've every had. AVOID. Will not help if you ask, just tells you to attend all classes. Unwilling to see any other point of view except his. Tests are from notes and book. Make sure you do his writing assignment at a freshman level, I went the extra mile on this paper, got 5/30. AVOID!!!

WORST EVER I have hated his class from day one and for some reason didn't drop out.. Im tryin to study for his test but dont know where to start.. So i came on here for the first time just to get my anger out on this terrible Prof.. he is the absolute worst

This man is an almost pain in the rear!!!!!! He has such double-standards for some students, and there's no logic to it. Some get reprimanded, while others don't. I can't wait to see how horrible the book report turns out.I can not believe that he is still teaching because he is so rude to his students. To everyone!

Whoever says this man helps you when you ask him a question is out of their mind. He either avoids the question all together, or gives you an answer that doesn't even apply. I attend every single class, I study, I read the books, I do everything I can, and I'M STILL FAILING!! He won't give help or extra credit because it's a 100 level class. AVOID!

If you need to take a History class do not get Satya. I've never had a problem with any professor at Lock Haven until I had class with him. He will not work with you at all. Nothing he teaches is on the test. He is not capable of being a college professor at all! I was out for surgery for a whole week and missed a quiz and he wouldn't let me takeit

He answers all questions with "check the syllabus". hard to understand at times. trys to be funny but isnt. AVOID at all costs

Do not take his classes. When he says to refer to the syllabus be careful, because he doesn't always follow it and makes up other rules as the class progresses. Avoid at all costs.

He can't teach. I had a quiz on the reading and none of the questions had anything to do with the readings or anything with what we have learned. We learned the information AFTER we took the quiz. He doesn't give you the necessary information he just talks on and on and on about things and he is hard to comprehend. I don't suggest taking his course

Dr. Satya is the worst 'Professor' I have ever had. Certain members of our class received lower grades, due to them asking questions that he could not answer - although he should have known, as they were relevant to the course. He has made offensive comments to the British exchange in our class,as he holds a grudge against Britain -shows in class.

Very heavy accent, hard to understand. If you pay attention to his lecture and take in depth notes then it's not so bad. The tests aren't so bad. The material seems easy, but his teaching makes it seem difficult. He seems like a nice guy and cracks jokes but it doesn't really matter because you don't know what he's saying.

If you have the chance, do not take him. I'm taking at the least 2 pages of notes per class session and reading the text, and still failing. Quiz sometimes have nothing to do with text or notes, books for class are by experts and hard to follow, and exams are large with a large amount of info you have to/could have to know for them.

Do not take this class. It is boring, you can barely understand anything he says, he is not helpful when you need/don't understand something. His teaching style does not help the learning process because he just writes random words on the board and sometimes does not explain them. The test and quizzes have random questions on them. DONTTAKEIT

I do not recommend taking this class. Avoid at all cost!!! You can barely hear him when he speaks. When he gives exams the stuff that he teaches are not on it. I feel like he just puts random stuff on their.

Easily the worst professor I've ever had. He is so difficult to understand as a result of his heavy accent and the fact that he whispers everything. He gives quizzes on things we haven't learned just so we can learn about it after the quiz. He also doesn't allow taking notes during a review session because it's a "distraction". Awful class.

He is not a good professor at all. There is so much wrong with the way he teaches. He gets a bad rep. he doesn't deserve all of the bad things said about him. His best characteristic is that he tries, but I would not recommend him for a class.

Just save yourself the time, don't take him.

I took this class to meet my gen ed and it was a horrible experience. The professor is barely even there. He's in the room physically, but his mind is a million miles away and he basically just reads and lectures. If you ask as question, he stares at you, then continues reading. It's bizarre. Trust me, you don't want this professor.

I can't stand this Professor! DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS! He is aweful! He rambles on about how terrible America is yet he still lives here? He tried to penalize me for leaving class one day because I was ill and left the class early! He doesn't really work with you. It's his way or no way

Despite the class being an easy A, he really kicks up the work load the few weeks right before finals. The work load increases to a 300 level course and his notes get extremely cryptic. He gives study guides for each quiz and exam, but his test questions are based on very specific details that are not indicated in the guide.

My experience with this man was very poor. You can pass the class with an A without buying his book or showing up for the documentaries. In terms of personality, his is the worst I've come across. I'd warn you not to go to his office if you have a disagreement. I did, and rather than address the issue he treated to call campus PD. Classy.

He came unprepared the first day. He took a week to select the textbooks we should get, and finding them was difficult because he didn't order enough. He never gave a complete syllabus . He gave us the wrong information to study for tests, and would e-mail us the right info right before the test. He gets basic history facts wrong. Avoid him.

He is very unorganized and is hard to understand sometimes. Sometimes he can be funny, but his class is usually pretty boring.

He isn't that nice, kind of rude, has an accent and mumbles a lot when speaking. If you're not good in history, you will struggle in this class. He makes it easy at first, but by midway he picks up the pace and makes it a higher level class than it is. You have to get the book, and you have to read the chapters to survive. Avoid if you can!!!

Professor teaches by asking students to explain the material to him, before its taught, when it isnt in the textbook. Gives assignments, and then takes points off for things he never told you. Example: somebody in my class received a 50% for not typing an assignment that he never said had to be typed. Does not give make-ups.

Youre better off watching YouTube than taking a class with Satya. He is pretty much a crook, youre forced to buy the book he wrote for $70 because theres tear out worksheets in the back(you cant sell it). He has a blatant disregard for anyone if they have opposing ideas, especially since he like to give misinformation. Stay clear if you can.

If you want to get in touch with him outside of class he is useless. Tells us the wrong information in class.

He literally never follows his own syllabus and all he talks about is how terrible America is. It has almost nothing to do with his poorly written textbook that you have to buy. His online course is horrible. Do not take this class. None of his quizzes follow the material. His online lectures are so boring I quit watching them.

Do not bother emailing him he will not be helpful. Often resorts to name-calling when you have questions. You can not go to the bathroom during class but he often stops mid-lecture leaves class to go get a cup of water.

Makes you buy his own book for $80. The school bookstore didn't order enough and it's not on Amazon or anything. I could not get it until the 3rd week of class and thus missed a homework assignment in the book. He would not let me make it up. Very unreasonable. I would have had an A otherwise. Mean guy. Hard to understand.

He's a difficult guy, to put things nicely. The "textbook" for his class is a book that he wrote himself. There are quizzes on every chapter, & you have to read them to pass the quiz. His course outline can be confusing if you don't listen to him explain it. All work is done online. One positive is that his tests & quizzes are open book.

Satya is a horrible professor. Not only is he unclear in his lectures and unfair when it comes to grading, but he's also a terrible person. He's terrible with technology and with language. He's also unlogical- he once said there were twenty three months in a year. He's also transphobic, homophobic, sexist, and ableist. Do not take his class!!

Avoid this professor if you can! He's terrible and his classes are like watching paint dry while being repeatedly punched in the testicles by a little person on roller skates. Half the questions on his tests are not in the book or his endless lectures. I got a C in his class and mine was the second highest grade out of 19 students.

Just no. This is the most boring class I've ever taken and I'm pretty reasonable. I skipped this class so many times because I just couldn't deal with him. He said attendance was extra credit, so I skipped many classes. Tests were fairly easy if you use the book. You don't have class on day of tests/quizzes which was nice. But avoid at all costs.

By far the worst professor ever. Weekly lectures where he goes on rants with a incomprehensible accent. Tests are 110% his own book, and never any lecture material. You have to follow his opinion for several papers. Tests atleast have two attempts, but writing 2 page paper on 8 pages advocating for no doctors or lawyers is not fun. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

He is not reasonable at all. takes forever to give grades back. I followed his guidelines to a t and still only got as high as an 80.

Had him for First Year Seminar... The class was more India based then learning about my college which is what I'm suppose to be learning. Was completely a history class. Very uninteresting and hard to understand him. The assignments given were very unclear and when asked to help understand, he did not help.
