She is very nice and helpful to those who are trying. She is willing to stay after class to help her students. She even offered to help me if I needed help in other Bio classes in the future. I highly recommend taking her class.

Mrs. Khatib is a pretty good teacher, and her class is easy. She gives all her notes using the overhead, and except for a couple worksheets, you won't ever use the book. Don't even waste your money on it. Labs are everyday, but they aren't too difficult. She'll help you if you're having trouble. Understand the notes and you'll get an A, no problem.

The class is easy. All u have to do is take notes when she lectures and look over her power points before quizzes and ur fine. Then for her tests skim over the chapters and you get a B or higher everytime. She PMS's all the time so dont talk and interrupt her

I had her for micro, the material is difficult, it is going to be that way with any micro teacher. She is VERY helpful, and she offers extra credit, out of our entire class only myself and one other person took advantage. You do need your text, if for nothing else the final, although there is material on each exam from the text, not just the lect

I actually had Khatib for the 2nd half of summer Micro and loved her! She split the time with Renfree and I liked Khatib a bit better. She goes over the material right before an exam which helps in case you forgot an important fact. Khatib takes a hard class and makes it easier with her examples & animated slides. I definitely recommend her!

BIO111 This teacher was amazing! It was a self-study with in school labs class. Universally the class wished we had optional lecture access with this teacher as her lectures were very worth while. I would take any class she taught in a heartbeat.

You have to love this teacher. It was difficult, a lot to remember in such a short time (8 weeks). Gave extra credit, was clear what to expect on the tests. Start working on disease chart ASAP or you will regret it :) You really need a book, I have previous edition and it worked as well. Take her, she is great!

Layla is a fabulous teacher. I have her for my online BIO119 class. I definitely struggle with science to being with and micro's no walk in the park, but she answers all emails quickly, is crystal clear with what she wants you to know. Tests are hard but fair; you HAVE to study. I'd recommend her!

I also took her micro class online. It took up a lot of time reading all the chapters on your own time but her study guides help to follow the main points. her timed quizzes are hard but she gives extra credit and really easy projects that will give you a lot of points for just doing them. overall i thought she was nice and helpful

I honestly loved this teacher. She made everything extremely clear and helped everyone to understand. All her assignments were manageable and no stressful projects or anything. I highly recommend her for a Bio 101 class

I would definately recommend taking her classes. She works hard to make sure that everything is clear and she is willing to help all of her students. Although she isn't a pushover and people disliked her making them look up answers, she is a good teacher for any students who truly wants to learn something. Tests are hard but she teaches up to them.

I felt like I'm having 3 classes in one: homework-on line quizzes (nothing to do with tests you'll take),labs-rushed through and it takes her forever to grade, pathogen project-time consuming and she kept a secret how many point is worth it(100).5 tests/80 questions each. No time to learn all.

Professor Khatib was a very good teacher. However, if you're taking A&P TAKE THE BIO 110. You can't just take this class if you're not good at science. She was very helpful and if you're struggling to pass she will try and help you. Very nice teacher. Don't talk when she is talking though. It's like her pet peeve.

This was the first time I ever enjoyed any science class. She did go through a lot of material, especially towards the tail end of the semester. However, she did ask if people needed help to ask her. I had but a few email interactions with her and they were responded to promptly. I would recommend her

Bio119 is a lot of work regardless but her tests are easy just pay attention in class when she emphasizes on things,I was worried taking her class from the rating but believe me if you do as she says you'll be fine. Plus she has a lot of e.c opportunities

Professor Khatib was one of my favorite teachers this semesters! She makes the long lectures interesting and easy for everyone to understand. She's very helpful and tries to make her class really easy for everyone. Getting an A in her class wasn't really hard. Make sure you do all of the assignments and study for the Unit Exams and Practicals!

Expect a lot of homework (including Mastering assignments) She is very clear on what will be on the test and what will not. She does a VERY good job of simplifying complicated concepts and is an Excellent Micro teacher. Complete her unit objectives and you should do well on the tests. You can get by with previous edition of the textbook.

She has a great personality and the final does not hurt your grade. She was however a bit disorganized and so confusion was brought. Other than that she is not a difficult professor but by no means is she easy.

First I hated this class I couldn't believe all the work, now towards the end of the semester I realized all of it helped me learn. If your looking to breeze through this class it's not gonna happen. You really need to be there everyday, missing one day is like missing a week. Be prepared for LOTS of work/studying. A EXCELLENT teacher a HARD class.

Professor Khatib was nothing less than an outstanding professor. She guides you in the right path to succeed in the class. Not an easy A but I did it with 21 credit hour classes so it's doable if you dedicate yourself

Professor Khatib is incredibly inteligent and dedicated to what she does. You definitely need to study for tests and pay attention during lecture, or you won't be able to keep up. She's always more than happy to answer any questions, and she's also just a very understanding person. I took microbiology with Professor Khatib and absolutely loved it.

She's a great teacher. She makes sure that you understand the material and she makes herself available during and after class, and during her office hours. The only flaws about her are that she doesn't answer emails quickly unless she's in her office and she tends to repeat things in her lectures sometimes when the time could be used more wisely.

She's amazing teacher. Do the objectives, take your time and score high on mastering assignments because they aren't timed, submit your labs on time and you'll be just fine. If you have issues understanding, ask. Use the tutoring that is available at college. You'll fail if you're not doin this.

Her lectures were on point. she didn't ramble. her power points and notes and lectures were all you need to study for exams. she doesn't surprise you with new information on the exam. she really cares. she is willing to answer any questions and really wants her students to do well.

But so many students complain about doing work and getting bad grades for bad work. Well, duh!! Not only is this college, but it is biology. You HAVE to put in work. She is awesome, fair, cool - you are dumb if you disagree.

At the very least, Mrs. Khatib is fair. If you actually pay attention in class and make a visible effort, she will work with you and might even help you out. Do not expect any handouts. You earn your grade in this class. If you have a problem with that take another teacher.

It's important to communicate effectively w/ your professor so you can grasp material & pass any science class. Professor Khatib works with you and is great w/ replying to emails, even amidst COVID-19 shift online. Do the "optional" HW & objective assignments and you will @ least get a B. Khatib is a very caring professor and really wants her students to succeed. While I think she is a great person, her lecture skills could use some work. She relied heavily on videos from outside sources to teach us, and the amount of videos was overwhelming. While all of the content was great, I would have preferred learning from her, not YouTube.

Obviously BIO181 isn't an easy class, but Professor Khatib makes the class easier. On the exams, you can use a cheat sheet. If you ever have a question, she will always answer emails nicely. Her lectures have everything on the exam. The homework ACTUALLY helps you be prepared for the exams and practicals.

Anatomy is not an easy class, so you do need to put in effort to get a good grade. The class had a lot of work, but Professor Khatib helped a lot. She would answer emails if you ever needed help or clarification. She allows a cheat sheet for the exams which is extremely helpful. If you are passionate about learning anatomy, she is right for you!

Let's be realistic. This class is hard. You have to work hard. But aren't you going to be a nurse?! The rest of your classes for life are going to be hard. Professor Khatib is so caring because she wants to prepare you for getting into nursing school. If you are going to complain about the work you are not meant to be a nurse. Work hard people!

Dr Khatib is awesome. I enjoyed her class, and learned a lot from her. Her lectures are long, but if you put in the work you will get a good grade. Homework and labs pull up your grade. Great professor, lots of extra credit, easy exams, 6 exams. If you took a previous bio class or have a degree this class is a breeze. If you're fresh out of high school it may be more difficult. Her lectures are very detailed and she sometimes fails to explain thoroughly some concepts that are on the test. Not a lot of homework but a lot of extra credit opportunities. Professor Khatib is an awesome teacher. I took her a&p 2 course in the summer and it is not as bad as one might think. Yes it is a lot of work and does require a lot of studying but she gives out study guides and they are even worth extra credit. If you pay attention in class you won't need the book. Exams based off slides & what she teaches. She's SO helpful. Gives extra credit if you do the objectives & those really help w/ the exams. My group always messed up on the labs but as long as you fill out the explanation part right you'll get 90-100. What you put in is what you get!

I took Ms Khatib for Bio 180 and Bio 181. My only regret is the fact that I could not take her Microbiology class too. Her lectures were always interesting!!Also, at the beginning of each class she makes a summary of the last week lecture. Excellent teacher!

She gives study guides for extra credit and her lab exams have extra credit as well. all you have to do is print out the lecture slides and take notes on them as she lectures as well as memorize the slides she says you need to know. she loves students who show willingness to learn and also ask questions after her lectures so you can get exam hints

U can't skip class and expect to pass the exam. Don't use other sources; you'll screw yourself. Show up, turn in your work on time, try to attend the optional study sessions, watch the lecture videos on ur own time for a brain refresher, make a quizlet, and do the objectives (TRUST). She's a good and understanding professor; people are just lazy.

i lied her teaching style, as long as you show up and take notes you're set. you can't miss lecture and expect to pass. difficult stuff but she knows how to explain things. i thought the labs were harder than any material we learned in lecture. she's annoying when it comes to asking questions lots of times she says “check the syllabus”.

Very nice, practicals are easy js memorize them, lecture exams are insanely hard, gives a great amount of extra credit , I wouldn't be at an A without it. Have a study buddy it helps a lot. I'd take again because the extra credit and practicals but lectures exams are the worst thing to exist.
