INSC 20153: Bradley is a OK professor. He is not very clear in class, sometime reschedules his syllabus and make us confused. Ask him when you are unclear. There is no quizes and the tests is not hard, some answers you can guest.
He's awesome, easy quiz everyday to boost your grades, I didn't read once and ended up with an A, just talk to him and get to know him he is a cool guy, and much better than the other BIS teachers
Great professor, review material for mini daily quizzes, then just review your final paper for any mistake , he is really good in proofreading and will find ur mistake. The final was insane with all the concepts so just do ur work and easy A-, study hard easy A.
Bradley's class is fairly easy. Review for the daily quizzes and read over the chapters before the test. Rinse and repeat for the Final. Put effort into your project and act like you know what your talking about. Just take the chapters from the book and summarize them verbally in application to your company. Boom. Easy.
Dr. Bradley is such a nice guy. Go to his office and he is willing to help you with anything. He takes attendance. Fair grader if you put time into your projects. Tests are basically vocab from the book. Take him!
I took him for Consulting so I'm not sure if he's going to teach it again or if Mackay is. You better hope it's Bradley if you're taking Consulting. His tests are ridiculously easy, the group project is a pain, but he grades easy, and those are really the only grades. Lots of guest speakers so that got pretty annoying. Bradley is a really cool guy!
Worst teacher ever!!! Last year he was known to be the easy push over teacher so he got a lot more strict. Very hard grader, yet on unnecessary stuff; talked to him about some projects and he clearly didn't look over my stuff well, basically just took off points to clear up his reputation. The class is boring and don't buy the SharePoint book.
The worst part about this class is the mandatory attendance. I could've gone to class 3 times and learned just as much as I did going to every class. There is a semester long project and he isn't very clear about the due dates or what he wants. He assigns all these things to attend like the night before they occur. He was alright.
I usually give teachers good ratings, but Professor Bradley is the worst teacher I've had here. Very inconsistent with his grading. The guy does not know what he is talking about. Truthfully, I'm surprised he is a professor here on campus. With all that being said, he is a nice guy.
Class time was pointless other than to take daily quizzes that you don't have to read for and can still pass. Lectures are boring and unnecessary. Grading for projects and tests is very subjective and arbitrary at times. Easy enough class but not very engaging or exciting.
I don't understand why anyone would rate Bradley badly. He's extremely nice and gives back points within reason. Choose your semester long group wisely. Exams are mostly vocabulary, so pay close attention because it can be tricky. Show up to class because its -5 pts every time you don't show. Midterm and final, strictly points based class.
Bradley is the best professor for this class! His tests are all vocabulary from the book. As long as you study the vocab they are an easy A. The project is the most difficult part, they key to getting a good grade is getting a good group who is willing to put the work in. Bradley is very open to questions and will clear things up when needed
Easy grader but be prepared to put in the work. If you fulfill all the specific guidelines he will give a decent grade.
BIS is a group project heavy class so pick your team wisely. For the tests and quizzes go over the hw assignments again multiple times. Docks 5 points for each class missed. Definitely take advantage and meet with him during office hours and he will help you with whatever you need. Definitely recommend taking him if possible for BIS.
He's a really nice guy, but not the most organized or communicator. If you do the homework (about 1 longer reading assignment per week) you will pass. The majority of the grade comes from the group project. If you get a bad grade (which my group did originally) but go to see him he almost always gives points back. Follow the class schedule!
Bradley is a good guy, just not the best teacher. He takes a while to put grades in and often time he enters them in wrong. You also have to go in and argue your grade for every group project as he counts you off for things you did correctly. He's very knowledgable about the subject, but overall can be a boring and frustrating teacher.
Professor Bradley is the sweetest and nicest man. Attendance is mandatory, however, you don't do anything in class. Homework and the quizzes are the same as the other BIS professors and are challenging but if you do it with friends you're good. He is the weirdest grader and has you come argue points back. Overall, super nice guy and not too hard.
Layne is a good person to take for BIS. He is not a hard grader, if you see him and talk to him he will try to help you. Also, he's an incredibly nice man so that is always enjoyable to be around.
The group project is tough, but he is there for any support you need. He believes in his students which is inspirational. Lots of work to be done outside of class. Don't skip class... just don't.
The group project is tough, but he is there for any support you need. He believes in his students which is inspirational. Lots of work to be done outside of class. Don't skip class... just don't. Overall, he is great
Bradley is a very kind old man. However, BIS is a frustrating class. Everything is done online (all quizzes, tests, HW, etc) with the only exception being the group project. It doesn't really matter who you take for this class. Bradley is usually willing to negotiate grades on the main project if you go into his office and talk to him.
LOVE Bradley. One of the best professors I've had at TCU. If you take the time to get to know him, he will help you achieve the grade you want. My group of 3 got 100 on the group presentation and a 92 on the group report because we worked for it. He was so accessible outside of the classroom. This class is also mainly memorization for exams/quizzes
Bradley started off the year with low expectations on everything and as the semester went on he started nit picking everything and taking points off for everything on the final project. Hes lectures are not very useful, but most days we were let out early.
Nice guy. The class itself is easy, he lectures for about half of the time and you get out early almost every class. Study hard for the test and final. Ask him for help on the project, and look at past examples for help and you should be fine!
Chill professor but never even talks about the textbook even when you have to do 100+ questions through LearnSmart online. Semester long project but he gives you every single criteria, so as long as you follow the rubric and get a team that is willing to put in the effort you'll be fine. Overall a nice guy and a pretty easy A
Professor Bradley is not good at a lot of things an adequate professor should be good at. He is not good at teaching the topics, not good at responding to emails, not good at helping in general. The semester-long group project basically means nothing in the grades. Overall, don't take him, you will be VERY stressed all semester.
Bradley is a nice guy, just doesn't actually teach the material. You learn the material through learnsmarts, and only get quizzed/tested over them. The in class lectures aren't very helpful, but you get docked points if you don't go to class. VERY stressful semester long project, but very detailed instructions. He is willing to help if you ask!!
Dr. Bradley is an extremely nice guy with lots of experience. Though he has 40+ years of experience on his belt, he sadly doesnt share his knowledge and is a pretty horrible professor as he doesnt teach and basically just tells you to Google everything if you cant figure it out in the group project. Overall, a nice guy. Just not very helpful.
Do not take Bradley!! Though he is a great guy, he is an adequate professor on his best day. He takes attendance daily, yet his lectures are pointless. Follow the detailed instructions and look at samples for the project and you'll get an A, but it will barely affect your grade. Mainly graded on midterm and final, which are very long and difficult.
Professor Bradley is seriously such a sweet man that it made up for the rest of the class. Most classes were spent working on the semester long project and very few included lectures. I believe this class is similar regardless of the professor, so I would recommend Bradley.
Layne Bradley is abysmal. He spent 10 minutes each class trying to figure out how to calibrate the smartboard. I went to class over 30 times and he spoke about test material twice. I've never felt like my tuition was going more to waste than spending time with Bradley. I would trust him more to dunk a basketball than his teaching; he is 5'8" and 65
Layne Bradley is the worst professor at TCU. This man does not explain topics and requires you to take tests over content you have not learned. The class is a mess and has literally no direction. There is no value to this class and it is meant to hurt your GPA. This was my worst experience so far at TCU.
Horrendous, atrocious, clueless, abysmal these are all words that describe Layne Bradleys BIS class. You learn nothing in the class, as he does not teach and the he is completely disorganized . And even worse, he tests us over material he told us to Google in order to learn. Project isnt bad if you have a good group though. DO NOT TAKE HIM!
Every INSC 20263 class is basically the same, but DO NOT take Bradley. He doesn't answer emails and when you ask for help on the group project he's very vague or tells you to just google it. And he assigns homework and tests on things he doesn't teach in class and expects you to google how to do it. All he does in class is talk about random stuff.
Bradleys INSC 20263 class is not worth TCU tuition. He doesnt answer emails, teach, or do anything a competent professional should know how to do. Tests over material he expects us to Google and is very unhelpful with the group project. Id trust Bradley with our playing on football teams O-Line over his teaching; hes 58 & 65. DO NOT TAKE!
If youre a Business major at TCU Bradleys BIS Class is a rite of passage. It is the worst class the Business school has to offer by far. Since he doesnt understand his subject at all he doesnt teach and makes us Google all of the material on the exams, which are horrible. He also has a terrible grading system designed to kill your GPA. DNT!
Apparently they BIS department changed the curriculum for this class. Idk about the other professors for this course, but Bradley failed miserably. Didnt teach any material in class and forced us to Google it. Only occasionally responded to emails and gave good feedback. Whack grading system. Overall do not take if you can avoid it. Hes awful.
Professor Bradley is a nice man. He got me since the beginning, as far as his personality goes. However, he did not teach us much this semester. Supposedly they changed the curriculum for this class and so I understand the mess, but I also feel bad that it was mostly study on my own kind of class. I don't think it's his bad, rather the department's
DO NOT TAKE LAYNE BRADLEY! He doesnt teach anything of value in class, and is very unhelpful when you have questions about anything, which will leave you completely clueless as to what is going on and very stressed. Class is a complete waste of time and the group project and coding exams are unnecessarily difficult, unless you have a good group.
This class was all over the place. There wasnt a clear schedule from the beginning and that made the rest of the semester that much harder. Unclear on directions and was poor at responding to emails. Though he is a nice guy, he is not a good professor. I had to teach myself the concepts find someone else for BIS.
BIS was a complete cluster. I never write poor reviews, and Professor Bradley seems like a fantastic human being, but I have never taken such an unprofessional course. I attend every class and give full effort, but there is nowhere for those traits to help. Was never taught a single thing, and he provides 0 direction for the group project. F.
This class was the worst one Ive taken at TCU. It was a complete waste of time and Bradley did absolutely nothing but talk about random things and told us to Google the answer whenever we had questions. Im willing to bet $100 that he doesnt even know what Business Information Technology is. Horrible class. Horrible Professor. Find someone else.
As a person, Bradley is very nice and relatable guy, however he is one of the worst teachers I have ever had in my academic career. I had no idea what was going on over the course of the semester, and as the project manager of our group project, this made extra stressed. Whenever I would ask for help he just told me to Google the answer. DONT TAKE!
Bradley is a nice man and is easy to get a long with, but he shouldn't teach online courses. We had articles to read but we were expected to teach ourselves the majority of the things and the new programs. He didn't know how to use/help us with programs that we were graded on. It wasn't clear what was expected of us and what was due and when.
Bradley was one of the worst educators I've ever had. He has no lecture slides. Each student does a 'tech talk' and then he rambles on for 10-15 minutes afterwards and releases you into small groups to work on your semester long project. If you don't have an amazing project group you're in trouble. Also does not teach you how to use SQL (tested on)
Prof Bradley is great. His lectures were ok but not really informational. Was very flexible with assignments and an easy grader. The one thing that matters is the group project at the end of the semester but it is not difficult - just tedious. Would recommend him over any other professor. Take him if you just want to pass.
extbook: No Bradleys INSC 20263 class is not worth TCU tuition. He doesnt answer emails, teach, or do anything a competent professional should know how to do. Tests over material he expects us to Google and is very unhelpful with the group project. Id trust Bradley with our playing on football teams O-Line over his teaching; he is 58 & 65.
Layne Bradley takes the cake as the worst professor in the Neeley School of Business. He is an absolute embarrassment to TCUs reputation as a school and they should let him go. Classes consists of him rambling about something that has nothing to do with BIS, and he tests over things that he tells us to Google instead of teaching us. He is pathetic
Extremely nice guy, however, I dont think he should be teaching us about Business Information Systems. Types 'google' before searching ON GOOGLE. Talks about how revolutionary self-checkout kiosks at stores are for 15 minutes EVERY CLASS. Exams are brutal... 1000 words in 50 minutes. If you are assigned a bad project group, kiss your grade goodbye.
Great guy and really passionate, yet he is not the greatest teacher if you like clear outlines. Team project that last the whole semester is hard and very open ended. Takes forever to grade everything. Also, he deviates all grades even on test and only a few get A's. Lectures most of the time. Test are easy if you're prepared bc they're open note.
This man destroyed my early years at TCU. His lectures are the worst I've ever attended, good luck keeping your eyes open in his class. Bradley is seriously NOT a teacher, a good person but bad at teaching.
Professor Bradley is very nice. The way things are set up in class are very poor though. 2 tests over online readings where you have to type 1000 words in a 50 min class. 3rd test SQL not taught in class have to use Google. Group project 33% of grade not hard but very time consuming. Try a different teacher.
I had to teach myself every aspect of this class. He lectures about material irrelevant to exams. It seems like your grade is based on his feelings that day about you. He ruined the Business Informations System major for me.
I've never had a teacher like Mr. Bradley..he honestly had no idea what he was teaching and was all over the place with due dates and homework. I literally had to teach myself Tableau and SQL because he taught us absolutely nothing. Honestly, just avoid this professor. There are 3 main tests, 1 big group project, and one individual project.
Bradley is a super nice guy. His class influenced me to switch my major to BIS. There is a semester long group project with predetermined groups, so if you have a bad group, you will have a bad grade. Exams are difficult, need to write 1000 words in 50 mins. He probably shouldn't be teaching a tech class, but he is passionate about the class.
Tbh there are no good BIS teachers here BUT if you go to class, get in a good group for the semester-long project (randomly assigned so it's all luck) and have him know your face you'll do good. BIS classes are bell-curved for Neeley so most kids will be in the B to A- range.
Bradley is a kind man just the class kinda sucks. If you don't get in a good group for the semester project and you end up doing the whole thing by yourself the class will be miserable. Getting in a good group with kids who want an A will make this class just fine. Bradley proly the best option for BIS tho
My friends all took Gray for BIS and they passed without struggling like I did with Bradley. Worst professor I've ever taken, good man but bad at teaching. He's boring and makes the class much harder than it is with other professors and you basically have to self-study for everything. BIS is not easy but Bradley just doesn't make it any better.
Professor Bradley is a kind man that is approachable if you have any questions. He will say hello to you at the beginning of every class and will engage in conversation to get to know you. You can tell he is passionate about the class and wants his students to succeed. With that, he does not grade hard and responds to emails quickly.
Professor Bradley cares about his students and will say hello to you each class. The class has 3 tests & one group project as your final. The last SQL Exam he doesn't teach, and it's quite difficult to learn independently. He takes FOREVER to put in grades which is a hurdle. Our midterm was graded during finals week, so hard to tell your grade.
He is a very kind man who cares about BIS and doesn't make the class too difficult. The homework involves discussion posts and most the semester is used to work on the semester project which is a digital transformation. I highly recommend taking Professor Bradley for this course!
Professor Bradley is such a nice man. He loves seeing his students in class every day and loves to discuss what he has been up to. His lectures do not have much structure, written exams, you just need to read the online articles he posts. Class is dependent on who is in your group for the project, but deadlines are still generous. Highly recommend.
Amazing guy! He fosters an environment that makes you want to learn. Super understanding guy. No exams. Graded on labs (they are actually pretty cool), couple assignments, and a group project. I would take him in a heartbeat :)
He is so sweet and chill, you work with your group for majority of the class but he is always willing to answer questions and help you
Take another BIS professor if you can. You definitely can do well in this class, but you really never know what to expect. I am a really good student and struggle to get an A. He does not teach one thing the whole semester. There are four tests which he does not grade for content, but rather spelling. He is a nice guy, but horrible teacher.
The rating on him is not fair for his entry level BIS class. Professor Bradley is extremely nice and is flexible with schedules and grading. Show an effort and receive an A.
Sweet guy but does not know what he's doing. No tech policy, deducts points even tho obvious ur taking notes but doesn't deduct the people who sit in the back of the class on their phones everyday so it all depends on where ur sitting. Grades the final hard & takes off for everything possible so you don't get a good grade. take. someone. else.
Professor Bradley is nice, but BIS is a hard class. Your course grade largely depends on the group you get assigned to, and how much work each member is willing to put into the group project. There are tests throughout the semester; they are not too hard as long as you study. The SQL exam is the only one that is really hard.
I liked Bradley for BIS, but it just depends on whether you get a good group, as a large part of your grade is based on a semester-long group project. You have to do an individual PowerPoint presentation, weekly HW discussions, there are two essay exams that relate to your discussions, an exam on tableau and SQL, and the group project.
Professor Bradley is a sweet man but he is old so he gets confused easily. Overall, the class was pretty easy with 4 tests and weekly homework. The main grade of the class is a semester long group project. Attendance is mandatory but he lets you out early of class almost everyday. I would take this class is you want an easy BIS class.
He is nice but doesn't offer a lot of help with the material. You have to teach yourself abt Tableau and SQL. The group project depends on now good of a group you are assigned
Doesn't really teach much but is very nice and understanding. 2 free response tests and a big group project, you get 100% on all the HW for doing it. Get out of class early every day. Pretty easy
Professor Bradley is an easy professor for Business Information Systems, although he can be unorganized at times he truly cares about his students and them succeeding. Attendance is mandatory and there is a long semester project throughout the course. He is a great teacher to have for BIS!!!
Doesn't teach much but easy class. 2 free response tests and big group project. Very caring and considerate.
He doesn't really teach anything, you mostly have to figure out SQL, Tableau, and the semester long project on your own. Grading felt very inconsistent, and the schedule/due dates would change about every week which was frustrating to keep up with. But if you and your group are proactive, it will still be pretty easy to get an A.
Bradley cares a lot about his students however some of the criteria for assignments were confusing and at times unclear but he would always clarify when asked. He sometimes even could even be too accomodating to students who were trying to take advantage of his leniency, but overall he means well. I wouldn't recommend but his class is survivable.
He doesn't give clear instructions on assignments and is very confusing on when things are due. The class is manageable however grading is inconsistent. The three exams are easy if you can teach yourself. Really not a bad class and he is a fine professor
Sweet old man but no clear instructions. You have to teach the concepts to yourself but honestly they are pretty easy. Really confusing when it comes to due dates but he will work with you if you email him. Overall, kind of annoying class sometimes but super manageable.
He might not be the best teacher if you really want to learn BIS, but the class is very easy. Homework is super easy, a few free response tests, and semester long group project. You get out early from class very often. Very nice guy if you miss something or are absent.
Not organized with technology at all, locating things through D2L is a headache and you often only find things at least a year old. He doesnt teach material at all either, so if you are interested in the course, take someone else. However if you wanna do the bare minimum and show up twice a week it's a pretty easy B at minimum.
Professor Bradley is a very sweet, nice person who is willing to help you. Make sure to follow the schedule and syllabus to do good in class, always ask questions
Such a sweet professor, just an unorganized class. But overall super easy and would take again.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND- Super sweet man! If you ask questions and stay organized, you should be good. He wants you to succeed and he wants you to enjoy BIS. Yes, the lectures are boring, but you'll survive. Homework was a free 100 and exams were a tad hard. Nelson gets all of the good credit, but this is the exact same class, only this one is more chill.
Drones on and on, his lectures just covering what the readings covered. He never really teaches or explains anything. His tests are hyper specific, so you have to memorize random niche terms and lists from the readings. Also takes forever to get anything back out.
The lectures are extremely long and disorganized, and he does not explain the material clearly. You are expected to teach yourself almost everything for exams and projects, yet projects are graded kind of hard. The lack of guidance makes the course unnecessarily confusing. I would not recommend this class, take someone else if you can.
