He is okay. He helps during the exams giving lots of hints. He wants to make sure that you understand.But he expects you to copy every single slide from his power points.

Took him for geology. Got an A. Study for his tests by copying the power points and reading from the book. To get an A, you must read from the book. Get to class on time, he starts right away. No HW assignments but you do assignments in class (not hard). Come to the labs and pay attention. Take his class.

He's a nice guy, but sometimes hard to understand. You must take notes from the power points in class and read the book to do well on the test, but his test questions can be tricky. I would suggest taking the class online since your given the power points rather than taking notes.

Dr. Jrad is the best teacher ever, the best thing is that we dint use the book that much, but you have to take notes from the power points, if you study the notes you will pass. In the notes he gives you key points and some of the questions that might be on the test. I pass the class and graduate I am so thankful with Dr. Jrad.

I took Dr. Jrad, at the of the beginning of the semester I dint understand but if you take good notes from the power point you will pass. One of the things that I love is that we don’t use that much the book all the notes are from the power point. If you don’t understand something he will stop and teach you in a way that you will understand.

I took Physical Geology with this Professor. He is fair with all students. knowledgeable of his subject. smart. Explains the lesson and helpful in class.

Wow!!! He's just an AMAZING professor!! I took him twice!! Even though I'm not in the science's major I learn a lot from him. He's funny and helpful. I took Dr Jrad for Environmental Sciences. He was just good professor. I took him again this semester For Physical Geology, and realized that he is as very good in it. I'm highly recommending him. Dr. Jrad is a very interesting professor. He may scare you at first but do not let him fool you! I really enjoyed Dr. Jrad's class! He is by far the most helpful professor I've ever had. There's a huge testing curve every time, no homework, no papers, informative lectures, and a test review + packet before every exam. It's a foolproof class that you get a lot out of. If you fail this class, then I have no idea what to say to you.

Amazing teacher! Respects his students and takes time out of his day to help you understand. I plan on taking him again next semester for my next science class. He is a great professor! I have enjoyed his class immensely. He strongly believes in rewarding hard work. If you attend class and he sees you work hard there is no way he will fail you. The labs were my favorite part of class they are fun and interactive. He uses PowerPoint for all his lectures and gives everyone plenty of time to copy them.

Physical Geology is one of the hardest classes I've ever taken. Most likely due to the fact I've never done anything that was related to Geology. Although, I had to really study my notes every day in order to do well. I'm glad I took this class though. He is not a bad professor. Do what your told, and you'll do fine. 3 lecture exams, and 2 labs.

Professor Jrad Enviromental Science class is a lot easier than his Physical Geology class. I took both, and enjoyed Enviromental Science more. All you do is take notes, and take tests over them. No homework, and you don't need the textbook. Just 4 tests for your grade. Huge curve as well. Example) if you get a 50 on a test, he bumps it up to a 70.

He's cool and makes my first time Geology be much easier. His tests may have some tricky question but he gave a lot of curve. Show he that you try hard in this class and everything will be fine.

He is a very good teacher. You have to read all of your notes as much as you can. He gives a review for the final but I suggest you just sticking to your notes. If you try he won't fail you just show up to class and take notes.

He's a little odd. I'll tell you how to pass this class easily. All you have to do is become a blip on his radar. Ask questions, answer questions, ANYTHING. As soon as he knows your name you're good. He curves tests harder than I get curved by girls at bars. Come to every class toward the end of the semester because sometimes he gives extra credit.

He's a funny professor. I can say he is very passionate about teaching. His notes are long and have to be all handwritten, he doesn't post any of his notes online so be ready to write A LOT. His lecture test can be difficult, make sure you study your notes in extreme detail because his test cover every little detail. I recommend him.

Great professor, don't know why people are complaining about his tests being hard. Just study the material in addition to listening to what Dr. Jrad says and you'll pass with certainty. I've always said if you want to ace a class, immerse yourself in the subject, don't just drudge along expecting to succeed, especially in Dr. Jrad's class.

Professor Jrad is great at helping students really understand the material. All of his lectures include note taking, but he pauses in between the lecture to make sure we're retaining the information. He's very helpful and kind to all his students, just make sure you study the material and you'll pass with a high grade.

Best professor ever!!! Really cares for his students and explains everything clearly. 3 multiple choices tests including the final and 2 lab exams which are really easy. He uses slides during the lecture and posts them on canvas so you don't have to worry about missing notes. The slides are exactly like the tests. Highly recommend!

Good teacher, he curves test if you make a C hell give you a B(test are hard) All you do is take notes on lectures but on lab day you work in groups. He has a odor problem, but dont put your shirt over your nose. Hes doesnt mind going off on you infront of the class. Thats what happened to one student. He kinda has a anger issue but nice guy.

Easy subject, easy class. He graded only based on 3 exams and the final, which he curves all of them by a lot (enough for you to pass). There is no way for you to fail this class. He's super strict on cell phones, even having it on the tables will upset him. But just listen to his lectures, he explains and let's you take notes right off the board

I had Professor Lazhar for two different courses and he is honestly one of the best professors out there. All you have to do is pay attention to his lectures and write down EVERYTHING on his powerpoints. No electronic devices allowed. Consists of 3 exams and 1 final.

I made a C in his class i totaly deserved it though, he curves the finals and tests and its not hard at all to pass his class he makes it easier to pass with a good grade. Lectures on Tuesdays and labs on Thursday. Lecture heavy, be ready to take A LOT OF NOTES! Write everything & highlight important information. Only 2 lecture exams, 2 lab exams, and a final. He gives HUGE CURVES (+15 POINTS)! As long as you study EVERYTHING (details, etc) and show effort that you are paying attention, you will do fine in the class.

Professor Jrad is one of the best professors Ive ever had. Hes so caring and tries to make the lectures fun. I rated this as a level 3 for difficulty mostly because physical geology is quite heavy but not impossible to learn. Just study and youll be fine. He gives test reviews and gives extra help to those who need it. Hes the best!

Dr. Jrad is one of those professors that knows exactly what they are talking about and are very passionate about what they teach. His classes are jam packed with info that he repeats twice (first he talks about it then you write the notes on the power point as he repeats it again) He would let us go early most days. Tests are easy if you study!

Geology 1403 with Professor Lazhar was a interesting class, you can tell that is really into the material he teaches; and he is good at teaching it. He is a great Professor who cares about his students. Exams are set on Lectures, so I recommend you go to class! As for Labs are in groups and very understanding. Very responsive on emails as well.

One of the best professors I've ever had, if not the best. He's an amazing human being. The class is note heavy but if you take good notes you'll get an A, everything he highlights on his slides will be on the test. 5-week summer course has 4 tests and a final Take him, even if you just put the minimum amount of effort in you'll get an A or B

Amazing lecturer when it comes to information needed to know to take his exams and occasional life-lessons. Everything you need to pass with an A on his exams are in his lectures/powerpoints. The textbook isn't necessary even though on the 1st day he'll tell you it is. No complaints. He's awesome. All his tests are multiple choice.

This is one of those mandatory classes that's not difficult to show up to and pass with an A+. Professor Jrad lectures on everything you need to know for his exams (there are four exams + the final) but if you miss a day, you better make a friend in that class because there's no redo of notes. Professor Lazhar has been one of the best professors I've had. His lectures are filled with information that are guaranteed to be on exams. It's clear that he is passionate about educating and the subject. Always asks if we are understand the topic before we move on. He definitely wants every student to succeed & pushes us to increase test scores.

Mr. Lazhar is very respected, caring teacher although he is kind of strict becuz he doesn't allowed cellphones while he is teaching, but other than the notes are kind of bit heavy so make sure you write down everything, you can possible pass at least a "C" or above to pass, attendance does count if you want to pass, good part no hws and projects.

This is one of those classes that you need to show up everyday to get fresh notes because everything on the tests comes from the lecture/PPT and not from other sources. You DO NOT need to buy textbook. Aim for an A+ in this class by rewriting the words in RED on his PPTs and memorizing association words with terms. Elementary skills for this class.

I have taken professor Jrad two times now , once for enviromental science and once for physical geology! I enjoyed both classes very much , he really does care about the students and has a vast knowledge of science ! There are typically 3-4 test! I would 100% recommend him to anyone ! As long as you attend class its an easy A!!

This class is lecture based. Great professor; explains lecture topics quite well. Grades are mostly based on a few tests based specifically either on content from lecture days or content in lab days (lab content also includes specific book content that he covers in class). Don't slack off and you will do just fine.

Great person I have ever known. He gives you a lot of papers and lectures, but they are all for your exams. Try to listen to him and focus on examples that he gives you when he is giving lectures. Very enjoyable course. The exams are wholly based on the content covered in class, so it's important to be present and take good notes. Prof. Jrad is very straightforward, so it's only difficult if you're unwilling to put any effort in. That he is caring and but a tough professor

Online on a schedule but we only met once a week which was fine. It's helpful to take weekly quizzes after his class since he explained it more/better than the textbook. Grading was tough but everything was understandable. Assignments: quizzes(weekly), lecture/lab exams(3), and final exam. No extra credit.

online quizzes are based on the online textbook. exams are based on the lectures, he has a hard time hearing soft voices so be patient for that. he's really adamant about attendance and gets on you if you miss two or more classes. i like his lectures though, would take him again.

Professor Lazhar is THE BEST, There are eight quizzes, three lecture exams, two lab exams, and a final, ALL EASY AND NO LOCKDOWN BROWSER. He cares abt his students and will not end the class if you have any questions, I WOULD TAKE HIS CLASS AGAIN 100% PLEASE TAKE HIS CLASS, ALL THE BAD REVIEWS ARE NOT RIGHT, I SWEAR!!

He's very understanding and want more than everything to make sure you pass. As long as you do your best and reach out when your in need of help he got you. But dont try to cheat because he will find out.

Overall it is an easy grade but the work can be tedious. There is a lot to do but it is manageable if you stay on top of it. Do not forget assignments because he is strict about retaking exams unless he sees you consistently doing your work. It is not a bad class if you stay on track.

All exams are timed with No Proctoring, which reduced stress for me. Responds to emails in a timely manner. No extra discussions or projects; just book + easy chap labs + quizzes/exams. You may notice some Q's need fixing, but as long as you finish with an A, he will not take the time to look at the textbook to make sure to fix the Q accordingly.
