Homework can be a little much, but she's clear and fair about what and how she presents the material. There are NO SURPRISES in her classes.

Prepare for a lot of reading, but she is always there to help. Everything is very cut and dry. No surprises.

If you want to learn spanish take this class. Truly wants you to learn the language. Great at explaining things and has an interactive class. Is very open with giving help. Ask her for help and your grade will go way up. She is Great!!!!!

It's just this simple: if you take her, you will learn. Quite a bit of homework, but it's manageable. Nice, helpful, and intelligent. Go out of your way to take Spanish with her.

She is truly a knowledgable and interesting techer. She offers the type of class you expect to receive at a university. Be prepared for HW, Class Excercises and Pronunciation work- but it's easy. The class is conducted 85% spanish but she makes sure you understand her. I wish she was teaching 202!

Ramsdell is the best professor i have this semester. shes funny, helpful and truley knowledgable in spanish. SHe helps everyone no amtter what and spends time on the info til youve got it. theres a good amount of work to do in her class, but its worth it shes awesome and the class is actually fun

She was a great professor. She spoke very clearly and was easy to understand. She was very helpful and kept the class pretty interesting. There were four tests that weren't very difficult. The final was not cummulative. Def try to get this professor.

She is a great teacher. Really knows her stuff. Do all her work and you'll pass. All the test are in the same format. Come to class, she wants to know you so make the effort to know her. She speaks in spanish the whole time and only in english if she really has to. Which was about three times out of the entire year. But you'll get it! I promise :)

Such a fabulous teacher. makes spanish so easy and interesting to learn about. has such a strong passion for the language and her students. attendance is important but she is very understanding with giving extra time for papers or tests. i would without a doubt recommend everyone taking her courses.

Loved her!! 8am with her was not too bad. Go to class and you will do fine! A lot of stupid assignments, but they help soo much! She will help you in any way possible. She wants to get to know you and she wants you to get to know her, so be prepared for questions about you and your family. But take her!! You will not regret it! :)

awesome teacher. She really cares for her students and she is willing to work with you if you have any issues about assignments. She is organized, there is a lot of outside work so make time for it. But over all, the exams are straight forward: matching, multiple choice, blanks, listening comp. Final is non-cumulative.

An amazing person. Absolutely one of my favorite professors. She truly cares for her students; she makes the effort to get to know you so do the same for her. Always willing to do whatever she can to help. Very, very smart...she knows a lot about Latin-american culture and literature. She's fantastic...I'd recommend her to anyone.

She is a great teacher. She is friendly and makes herself available to help you. If she notices that a lot of people are having difficulty with something she will take the time to go back over it so that everyone fully understands.

what an awesome teacher. shes such a sweet lady. first of all, she doesn't really have an attendance policy bc i skipped all the time and still did very good in the class. Her tests aren't hard at all as long as you know the material. Will let you make up missed tests and quizzes also. DEF take her if you can!

There's a reason Prf. Ramsdell has all smiley faces. She's is an amazing teacher. If you don't know the answer, she'll give you clues until you find the answer. Even students who had strep throat wanted to participate. Kudos 2 u!

ramsdell is amazing!! u will never meet a nice or more dedicated woman. she relates to her students and is available for help at all times. accessible!! gives a fair amount of work, teaches relevant and complex material, but is not the toughest grader. she leads trips and manages clubs. had a party at her house for grads. her spanish is impeccable!

Amazing teacher. Was willing to help me weekly with information I did not understand outside of class and had a genuine love for the language she was teaching. Incorporated vast amounts of cultural aspects within the class to get you excited to speak the language.

She is an awesome instructor. Gives easy quizzes but you will need to do entire quiz in spanish even when she asks you definitions for vocab, etc. Sooo nice I love her. I want to take her again!!

She's a really nice and helpful prof. She tried to speak Portuguese most of the time which definitely helps immerse you in the language and you're forced to learn it. You listen to Brazilian music, watch Brazilian movies and it is a very laid back class. Easy grader. MUST TAKE!!!

THIS PROFESSOR ROCKS! She is so nice and so willing to help! I had her for freshman seminar and I enjoyed going to her class. I learned so much and I had fun doing it! The last day of classes, she brought in Brazilian food and it was such a nice surprize! TAKE PROFESSOR RAMSDELL!

I had Lea for 4 classes. She is absolutely the best. There is none better! She is SO crystal clear in her instruction and pronunciation. She speaks like a true native speaker. Lea dedicates her personal time to her students. She is a gem and friend always. Class work is challenging, but doable. Grades fairly. Broadens your cultural horizons.

So, this was my hardest class, but I got an A in the end because she pushed me to work hard. She is very nurturing, and she does whatever she can to keep her student's interests alive. She wants everyone to learn. She's an amazing woman, but you WILL work hard for every single grade you get.

Such a fun class! She knows what she is doing and really cares about her students and the language. Tests are easy, and she assigns easy homework assignments every night. She is on top of her grading and is easy to reach out to if you need to speak to her.

She was great. I only had about 1 year of span backround, and I still did amazing in her class. She only speaks spanish however, it is very easy to follow her and she helps you out in English if needed. SHES AMAZING. If you need/want to take span SHE IS THE PROFESSOR TO TAKE. Easy class to get an A, I didn't really try and got a B+/ A-

Great professor, and very lenient. The only reason I gave her a 3 for easiness is because this was an elective for me, and the workload was HUGE (as I'm sure it is for every spanish class); however, she seemed laid back with due dates, and very understanding of my situation. BY FAR THE BEST PROFESSOR!! This lady is truly AMAZING. She explains everything so that everyone can understand. Her class isn't hard but it's A LOT of work. I have taken multiple classes with her because she is that amazing. I would recommended taking every possible class one can with her. She really cares about your learning.

Good teacher. Class is boring though. Make sure you sit next to someone you like because we do partner exercises 3-4 in one class! 2 oral presentations, 5 exams, and a culture project. You HAVE to get the workbook because she collects them before exams to check you filled out an entire chapter.

I've had several great professors at Towson, but Ramsdell may very well be the best. She is not easy, but she is fair and very clear about what needs to be done to get a good grade in her class. She gives great feedback and genuinely cares about her students. You will learn a lot in her class.

One of the most caring teachers at Towson. I wish I took her class more seriously because she is very passionate about what she teaches. However, as a Pre-Nursing student there's other classes that you have to put more time and effort into and with the work load in this class it made it difficult. Great teacher, a lot of work. Super nice also.

Prof. Ramsdell is very knowledgeable about the Spanish language, clearly knows what she's doing. LOTS of partner/group work, lots of homework. Participation is absolutely mandatory. It is an upper-level class, so be prepared to speak in Spanish the whole time. Class is not overly difficult, but she makes you work to earn your grade.

Professor Ramsdell is a very caring professor. I took her class during the pandemic and she was one of my only professors to be lenient about the sudden lifestyle changes of her students. The workload is extremely heavy but the good thing is you are actually learning something. She knows exactly what she is doing in teaching this course.

I really like Professor Ramsdell as a professor and she's a sweet person. She really cares about languages and cultures and was one of the most caring professors in regard to the COVID-19 pandemic. She doesn't grade the blogs or papers easily! I want to take her again to learn a language!

Professor Ramsdell is seriously amazing. She truly cares about her students. She's intelligent and passionate about her work! Make sure you keep up with the small homework tasks, as they can add up. Oral tests and exams are pretty easy as long as you attend class and practice. Overall a fantastic course would take it again.

This class is a lot, theres a lot of homework but its easy stuff usually. Shes SO nice and literally so caring about her students. She wants everybody to succeed, shes definitely the best Spanish Professor at Towson. This class is very structured so you always know what to expect and she wont put anybody on the spot like others do! Loved her
