Great teacher, cares about students and student life. Is very accomadating. She will take you through the class step by step and clarify instruction if unclear. Very high marks.

It's a hard class but she does a very nice job of letting you know what is going on. She is awesome!!

She is one of the best teachers that I have ever had. I am horrible in math and she got me through with an A. If you don't understand something, feel free to ask, she is great at reexplaining missed concepts. I highly recommend her for anyone like me who is scared of math. She actually made it fun!

I am not a math person. Taking Leann's class was nerve racking to me, but it turned out to be one of the best choices on a class. She is so helpful and clear when teaching that i understood almost EVERYTHING! She was also very positive and encouraged her students. I highly recommend this teacher.

Thanks to her easy take-home quizzes, I was able to pass her class. Her test are not easy, but I am not good at math at all, so all math test are hard for me. She's a really good math teacher though, and she's very willing to help her students out. If I would have taken any other professor for this class, I probably would have failed.

Mrs. Lotz Todd is AMAZING! I absolutley hate Algebra, and she made it so understandable. She went at our pace, and made sure we all knew what she was talking about. I would HIGHLY reccomend her to anyone and everyone. The best Math teacher I have ever had in all my years of school. OUTSTANDING TEACHER!

This teacher was extremely helping in explaining a very difficult subject for me. It was kind of hard to keep up with all the homework though. Overall, very helpful and easy to understand. You definetly need your book!

LeAnn is a super nice lady that can make you understand mathematical concepts impeccably. She is a VERY comprehensive teacher. I had not had an algebra class for 26 years and was terrified to take them. I took LeAnn's MATH 40 and MATH 110 8-week courses back-to-back and no longer find Algebra that intimidating--actually it's kind of fun!

LOVE HER!!!!! She made math manageable as well as crystal clear. She takes her time to explain steps so that everyone is on the same page. I highly recommend her, but enroll in her class asap because her classes fill up fast!

Leann is amazing! She is the best teacher I've had for ANY subject. She explains things in great detail and I have never once felt like she hasn't been one hundred percent EXCITED to help me if I didn't quite get something. Great teacher!

Leanne makes math fun. She is really good at partial credit grading, in case you get a sign wrong. I wish she taught through calc 3. but i think she stops at college algebra

Such a great teacher! Grades are made up from 4 tests, a comprehensive final, and 10 "quizzes" (which are take-home). She admits she was not always good at math, so she understands the frustrations some of her students go through. If you do your homework and pay attention in class, you should do well. She's actually made algebra kind of fun!

I am not terrible at math, but it had been a while since I had a math class (10ish years). Um, she's the best. Probably the best teacher I have had in any subject during my 2 years at MCC...if you love math, hate math, are good at math, or stink at math, take her. Stop reading reviews and sign up for her class NOW because it will fill up QUICK!

Such an understanding and kind teacher who truly cares about her students and their comprehension of the subject matter. If you dislike math you should take her class. She is always very upbeat and will keep you smiling even if you are loathing the work at hand.

I am an elementary education major that came into her Math 40 class thinking I was bad at math. I left her 110 class with plans to take up through at LEAST Pre-Calculus in order to obtain an additional teaching certification in middle school math. I'll let that speak for itself.

Ms. L-T is very kind and pleasant person. She went out of her way and bent over backwards to help me when I had to miss 2 weeks for military duty. That said, she went a bit fast for me. I didn't do well but some of that is just the class. 119 is totally random subj. matter. nothing builds on anything else so it can be hard to catch a stride

Amazing math teacher!! Explains things very well and the same problem with different methods for solving. Very helpful. Weekly take home quiz worth 10% of of grade. 4 exams, 1 final. Those are worth 90%. Doesn't collect HW but do it if you want a good grade. Would take any math class from her again! Great teacher. Always happy too.

WOW. What a nice lady. Explains everything clearly and cares about whether you understand it. I actually did better in this class than I did in my previous math class, which is supposed to be easier. Grade consists of ten take-home exams, four tests, and a final. If grade on final is higher than lowest test score, the final grade will replace it.

She is amazing, without her, I would still be at Longview and not finishing my bachelors program.

I took her for math 40 and math 110 because I liked her so much. Its also cheaper to do it that way because the book is online and you only have to pay once it since it works for 40 and 110. She is very helpful. I never did any of the homework and still got a C just study before the test and pay attention during class

She was a really good Professor! Shows the students how to do each type of problem on the board each lecture. If you take good notes you will pass the tests! plus she is totally HOT!!!!

Leann Lotz-Todd tries to be as clear as possible. She always asks if there was a problem to work on in class from the previous homework. She has 4 exams and will drop one if the comprehensive final is higher. She will also drop the 3 lowest quizzes. I have taken her for math 40,110 and 120. I would taker her for higher classes if I could.

This professor is FANTASTIC and I would take her for every math class I need if I could!! I took her for MATH 120 and got a B, by doing homework & studying for her tests. She is helpful and values your understanding of the material. Expect to use ConnectMath instead of the usual textbook in this class, I was concerned at first but got used to it.

She is a fantastic math teacher and person. She takes her time to explain everything, is very understanding of her students and does all she can to help you succeed. I would recommend this professor to anyone who struggles in Algebra.

Lotz-Todd is actually her last name. She was absolutely amazing. I loved having her class. She would explain things if there was confusion and made math more fun. She's super sweet and I would definitely take a class with her again. She made math easier. Warning: the homework is online, but there are redo's.

I took this class with a different professor and failed it. I took it with her I got a B. Her tests are very simple. She does fill-in the bland which is a nice diff in math. It's to have the concept understanding. My only con is that when lecturing there is too much "fluff" when she talks. very kind but doesnt always stick to point/hard to follow.

Took this class in 8 weeks so there was a lot to cover. Failed the first test but once I knew what she was looking for I got a 96 on the next one. Ended up getting an A in the class. You have to work hard but I think she is a good teacher. I took 2 math classes from her so obviously I liked her teaching style. Work hard and you'll get a good grade.

If you put forth the effort she gives you every opportunity to pass her class. She works with an e-book on Connect Math instead of a text book. Quizzes are taken online but exams are taken in the classroom. She assigns homework at the end of every lecture but you don't turn it in, it's just for your own benefit. Very smart and caring teacher.

This teacher has an awesome personality! She really cares about you outside of class. I had a death in the family, and had to miss a few class periods. She was more than kind about it. I am awful at math, and still passed this class when in the past I struggled with another math class. TAKE IT. Study the online quizzes, and you will pass.

Online 8wk Math 110. Connect math is a frustrating program BUT going to the math lab helped also emailing Professor Lotz letting her know what the problem was and she also corrected it and gave me the points every time. LOTS OF HOMEWORK but Im sure this is mainly due to the fact it was an accelerated class. Doable class but you have to work for it

I HATE math, I have never understood it at all, but Mrs. Lutz-Todd is super helpful. She makes math much easier and is understanding if you mess something up on a quiz or test. She worked at my pace and explained everything without complaints. She is a great teacher! I recommend her, especially if you are not great at math.

Best math professor I've ever had! She sometimes doesn't quite understand what the students are asking, but she cares. And she is always happy to elaborate/slow down to make sure everyone is up to speed. If you have questions, ask them or she will assume you understand. Show up to every class & take good notes or you'll miss a lot of the material!

Super sweet and funny and really understanding. She moves pretty fast in lectures but is very patient with questions and making sure you understand something and will try to teach you different ways until you understand. Communicates quizzes and exams really well ahead of time and available outside and after class. Textbook is online.

After taking math 95 and college algebra from Leann, I can confidently say that I understand the basics and passed with dignity. I did so well because she explained everything thoroughly and well. Even when the classroom was dreary, she came to every class with energy and life, and taught professionally, never missing a beat. I highly recommend.

Very knowledgeable & explains concepts exceptionally well. She does tend to over explain but I found that very helpful. Very approachable, spunky, fun personality. But math is not my strong point and I earned a VERY stressful B. Loads of info coming at you every class period. But LOTS of helpful handouts the has prep herself.

Math is hard for me and I was expecting this class to hurt my GPA, however, I got my highest math grade ever thanks to this professor. She was very helpful and would work out any homework problems that people were confused about. Ask questions! The weekly quizzes were mandatory and homework was optional. Both were great study tools for the tests.

I had Professor LeAnn Lotz for MATH95 during the summer semester, which was an 8 week course and very accelerated. She is by far the best math professor I have ever had. She CARES so much and will break down problems every way to make sure her students understand. If you miss class, you miss a whole section so crucial to be there but she's amazing!

I agree with others that she does tend to move pretty fast, but not so fast that it's hard to keep up - just pay attention and take notes. She's good at explaining math to people who struggle with it. 85% of grade comes from 5 exams, 15% from homework. The test is EXACTLY like the homework & review packet. Math is hard, she doesn't make it harder.

This professor was great for me! Unfortunately, I was tired during the placement test and did horribly so I was put in a class wayyyyy too easy for me. There was homework assigned every class and it is very test heavy, so I don't know how she would be in a harder class but she was very helpful and caring in this one.

She is a very nice teacher. There is a homework assignment for each unit so it's easy to get topics down as long as you do your homework. There's only 4 exams and a final but she gives exam reviews before the test and pulls questions straight from there to put on the test. She's also very willing to help and answer any questions.

The homework is easy as long as you're paying attention in class. The tests also mirror the study guides she gives out prior to the test so no surprises.

Explained each section thoroughly, allotted time for students to ask questions/receive clarification, offers unlimited attempts on homework until the due date, tests are EXACTLY like the homework, provided answer keys for both versions of tests for you to study with, and never made students feel bad for having questions. Overall a great professor.
