She is a really good professor. She is laid back and willing to help if you ask. If you practice/do homework, you will do well on her tests. Her tests are straight forward- just to make sure you know how to do the problems, no tricks. I have taken her for Math 010 (really easy-A) and 051 (currently, barely have a B but I am not good at math).

I really enjoyed being in her classes! I didn't think I was good at algebra, but after doing 020 and 051 with her, I realized that math is actaully one of my strong points. A lot of this was because she did a good job at teaching.

I have her right now for math 020. I have been out of school for 15 years and jumped into this class and right now have a 97% average. She is a great teacher, very helpful, and makes things very easy to understand. I highly recommend her!

Great teacher, down to earth and made you feel welcome to ask questions during lecture. Tests were straight forward, and she didn't try to trick you. Homework online was very heavy and worth a lot of points so be sure to do it! She did lack some focus, mainly due to her teaching at 2 different colleges. Sometimes she got her classes mixed up.

I currently have this professor and although classes have only been in session for about a week I can see a HUGE difference compared to my 051 professor last semester. I am understanding everything clearly and she repeats over and over that if you need help she is more than glad to help you! So glad I have her this semester! GREAT TEACHER!

Math is my worse subject but this professor really helped me throughout the whole semester. She is very clear and I love that she does tons of examples on the board and goes through them step by step. Tests are easy. Just do the homework, do extra problems in the book, and review your notes and you will be fine.

She was very helpful, even stayed after class to discuss things with students. I had to leave after a couple weeks BUT being the awesome professor she is, she is overriding the summer course so I can take her again! Her tests are moderate but if you study you will do fine!

This was not her first time teaching upper level courses! She was the most amazing, supportive professor. I typically hate math, but I actually looked forward to attending her class. If you put forth the effort and do all that is assigned, you will have success in her course. Anyone that does not do well in her course can only blame themselves!

Professor Conaway is the most amazing Professor you will have at HACC. Yes, spring 14 was her first time teaching stats since her son was born, BUT she did awesome. She reiterated things as needed, answered all of our questions, used humor to get the point(s) across and her tests were straight forward. I am sad that I cannot take her class again!

Personally, I hate math and I'm not good at it. Leanne is, so far, my favorite math professor. You must have a TI 83 or 84 calculator in order to pass the class!

If you go to class, you will pass! She is very clear and makes herself available to anyone requesting assistance. Couple of extra credit chances. Obviously cares about her students and explains the concepts and calculator functions as often as necessary. Only enough homework to understand the concepts, plus 4 tests and 2 projects. WONDERFUL PROF!!

Professor Conaway is a decently good professor and she knows what she is talking about. She does not always stay on topic and we get behind schedule but keeps a good pace. You'll have 2 projects throughout the semester and 5 tests. All the HW is online so you only need the access code, not the actual book

Professor Conaway is great. I will take her again for stats. She will go above and beyond to help you understand the material if you ask. It took me awhile to get used to her teaching style and mymathlabs but I am glad I hung in there. She really cares for her students and will try her best to help you succeed as long as you put in the effort.

I took Conaway for 103 and now for Stats. She is a great prof. She actually wants you to do well. She teaches in a fun, engaging way. While she might not be the most structured teacher, her laid back style makes for an easy going class. You will use mystatlabs a lot. She will always take time to answer questions or go over problems. Take her!

This class was not hard at all. To study, watch the video lectures, read her notes, and do your homework. If you do that, you should not have any problems with this class. If you do not intend to study however, this class could be very very hard for you.

Math is already a a very difficult subject for me, but she always made it work and would explain it. She's a bit quick in her lectures, but doesn't mind going over them again. I would take her again in a heartbeat if I needed another math class, but thank God I don't.

Has notes already printed for you, just follow along and do the HWs online and your good. Project is fun and in class assignments were awesome. No reason to fail this course. A+++

Best math teacher EVER! Easy to understand. Doesn't bog you down with info you don't need. Use of calculator for everything, no hand calculations. This is the teacher you want! Fair grader and fun hands on activities . One project but nothing to sweat about. It actually prepared me for the test so I didn't need to study.

Conaway does a great job with structuring the class. There were some fun activities. 4 exams, 1 project, and a cumulative final (with a cheat sheet for the final). Every chapter covered has homework online which prepares you for the exams. She's a fair grader and very understanding. The only downside is she moves a bit fast, otherwise she's great.

I have failed 051 two times, but am finally going to pass with her! She shows everything step by step, reviews before every exam, is available during her office hours and is very approachable. If you do not pass this class, then you didn't try. She's one of my favorite math professors ever!

You go your own pace in this math class. The professor is mainly there to help you if you need help. Professor Conaway is really helpful though and she will meet with you multiple of times to discuss your progress in the class. There is a topic and time goal that you have to complete every week by sunday and you are able to work ahead.

I was so scared to take statistics. It was challenging but professor Conaway made it fun. She provides guided notes and goes over a lot of examples in class. If you need statistics Id definitely take her!

Professor Conaway is a great professor. I took a 4 week Mathematics 055 course and did very well. Anything that was not understood, she went over. While this class was blended, it was easy to get ahead on the material. Before any of the exams, she would post up a review. As long as you do the work, you will get an A.

Math 090 is through a program named ALEKS. The instructor of this course only gives you a topic and time goal for the whole week; other than that, ALEKS does the rest. The program determines when you take a pop quiz (knowledge check). Depending on where you are in the course, the knowledge check will make or break you. Do not use outside help.

Professor Conaway is a fantastic professor! She is always very understanding of her students and their situations. She explains things very well in class and is very personable with her students. Would absolutely take her again. Make sure to sign up for her courses early though because she fills up fast (because she is good).

Awesome teacher who takes the time to actually teach/explain the math! she also is a pretty easy grader and her classes are not boring whats so ever! The tests look exactly like the study guides, would highly recommend!

I took virtual STATS in the 8 wk summer semester so I was pretty scared before I started, but she made it really enjoyable. Her lectures were amazing; simple and clear to understand. All homework and exams were through mylabstat, which was easy to navigate. She gives reviews, which looks identical to the exam. I can't speak highly enough!

I took her for remote stats this summer. I was terrified. She was so helpful. Always answered questions and never made me feel stupid. Reach out to her if you need help! She is very willing to help. She even met me in zoom in the evening to help me with my homework.

Likeable professor that makes it easy to pass. Pearson platform allows you to be successful even if you don't understand. I took the class because it was mandatory, I figured I wouldn't do well bc I hate math and I walked away with an A. She allows you to use notes for tests and tells you exactly what will be on it.

Full virtual class: We used a person e-textbook which was great, you could pretty much learn everything from the textbook. The class site layout was organized and clear. She uploaded notes, PowerPoints, and video lectures. Very nice teacher, but not always clear in lectures, you may need to read the book, it explains things better.

Professor Conaway is awesome. She is very helpful during our class she was always willing and eager to help. I like the ALEKS program she used. It let you work on your own but if you got stuck you could reach out to her. I recommend taking her remote option because you get the best of both worlds!! Sign up quick because her classes fill up.

Professor Conaway is an awesome online teacher! My class was an online course called ALEKS, which has a preplanned schedule, resources, e-textbook, etc., so you are basically doing it on your own and Professor Conaway is there for questions, provides some helpful videos and test review materials. She responds quickly and reminds everyone of tests.

I have not completed this course yet, however, this Professor is amazing. I highly recommend her. She cares about students success, easy to understand her class and helpful. Grab her class early bc her class fills up fast since she is such a great teacher. I'm in an accelerated short class and it is not overwhelming at all. she is awesome.

Highly recommended. Professor is very clear and does a step by step guide if you have trouble with homework. Exams are always going to be about the subjects you pervious learned and it's not long.She always gives subjected topics to go over before the exam, Which you should take advantage of . I learned a lot and it was not over overwhelming!

Used Aleks for the classwork, and she was very knowledgeable of the program. She did her best to help students succeed and she worked with individual students anytime someone needed help. Definitely would take her again.

Professor wants to see you succeed. Gracious and understanding. Easily accessible. Went above and beyond to accomodate my struggle with math so I could pass. Respects that most students required to take her class are non-science/non-mathmatic majors and wants to help.

An amazing professor to say the least. She had very clear instructions on how the work should be done. Will stop to help whoever needs help. Class work was through ALEKS including the tests which you could either take at home with a lockdown browser or in person without it. She tries her best to make the best class environemt. Would recommend.

Truly an amazing professor. She created a class environment that made it easy to learn and communicate with other students. The class itself was easy and all the work was done using ALEKS. She gives great feedback and will work through problems with the class until everyone understands. Tests could be done either online or in class, still via ALEKS

She is excellent. She offers additional assignments for points other than the exams and will work with you until you're successful. The Aleks homework is a lot, but if you put the effort in you will get the grade you're aiming for. I've heard horror stories about other professors teaching stats at HACC. Try getting in Conaway's class (fills fast)!

She is great! I struggle with math so bad so I was nervous taking this. But as long as you put the work its not bad because she laid out the class very well. She has lots of videos to help and she is easy to reach for any questions. And she is so nice, she doesn't make you feel stupid she is so willing to help. I could not recommend her enough!

Leanne Conaway, I took for two math classes at the main campus.. All I can say is she is a really good professor. Caring, understanding, and easy to work with. ( fair warning: she uses the program "Alecs" or however you spell it, at least that's when I took her in Fall of 23' and Spring of 24'. EXCELECENT PROGRAM!! WILL PASS YOU IF YOU WORK! )

Don't worry about the textbook or about buying a TI84 calculator. Everything you need is on an online program called ALEKS. All of the homework and exams are through there. Show up to class for attendance and if you don't need help, she'll let you leave. She is very nice and the only grades are a few homeworks, 3 exams, and a small project.

Prof. Conaway was so nice. I was nervous to take statistics in college and ended up finding it really easy. I took this class face-to-face and everything was on ALEKS. Listening to the lectures was pretty much optional because ALEKS teaches you how to do everything but the lectures were still helpful.

Entire class is in ALEKS. She gives supplemental notes, study guides, lectures by topic & lectures by chapter. Super chill and also gives great explanations - plus extra credit! Only downside is she gives so much to help you that it can kind of feel like info overload, but it's all optional. Also lets you use a pretty big cheat sheet for exams!!

Although Stats is not my favorite subject, Professor Conaway is pretty awesome. Attendance isn't mandatory but is recommended as her lectures are very helpful and she is super nice and funny. She goes out of her way to make sure all students understand the material. Tons of helpful notes and guides on D2L. Entire class is on ALEKS, easy A

For the exam she will allow you to bring one sheet of paper with notes, to ace the exam just do practice questions under Aleks review and PRACTICE.
