While she IS a good prof, she's far too bent on enforcing class discussions. We don't pay you to MAKE us speak our minds.

In response to the previous comment: What class were you in?? obviously not the same Soc.2000 as myself. Discussion class still count as planned activities/classes. Perhaps it was YOU that was absent 5 times without an excuse. GREAT CLASS!

she makes class so interesting. She loves to talk about everyday things that are happening in society. Which is what sociology is really about. She will only test you on how far you got in the book too. SHE IS AWESOME. I cant wait to take another of her courses.

I chose a sociology major because of how great this prof is! She makes the material interesting, she's very helpful, and her tests are fair.

Overall, a pretty good prof. Her tests are really easy as long as you listen in class, since she gives all kinds of hints as to what's on them. She has lots of enthusiasm, which makes her classes really interesting.

I can't say enough good things about this woman! She made me want to go to class every morning. She makes the material fun and interesting and easy to understand. I absolutely adore her! She is so personable and friendly and so down to earth! She's just.. amazing! Get her for this course (or any other course she teaches) if at all possible!

Leanne is the greatest. Her sociology class was so intresting that I would never miss class. She goes out of her way to help you in any way she can. She is very easy to talk to, and wants to do everything she can do to help you pass the course. Hats off to you Leanne!!

Leanne is the best sociology prof that i have ever had. If you can get her for any course you should do it. She gives out the questions before the exam and she helps you with the questions if you ask. She is a hard marker, but fair. I loved her :)

Leanne is an amazing professor! I've had some terrible profs this semester, so I am very fortunate to have had her to brighten up my mornings. She is clear, fun, and open to discussion at any time. I hope very much to take one of her courses in the future!

Leanne is a really awesome person, she is very down to earth, real, and really caring about her students. I've had her for two courses, but i do find she tends to mark kind of hard on papers. Sometimes she'll kind of take up class time by lecturing students on not doing well, but i think it's just because she cares.

very REAL and CARING. Marks accurately throughout. However, to help u out; i'd suggest working hard on the two papers (30%): best to avoid topics she knows well(Crime and deviance)- be original. And, WARNING the final is considerbly harder then you'll expect. The m/c are nearly impossible from reading bkalone -focus on class notes to do better.

This women kept me in university, she is def. the most helpful prof ever. She is very easy to understand and is willing to do anything to help. Very fair just an overall great person!

She is willing to help, whenever it is possible. I took the night class, and it was enjoyable. She tends to mark harder on papers than you would assume. The midterm and final were tested mainly on material in the textbook, and the classes were helpful to attend as well.

Leanne's picture is in the dictionary right next to best prof ever! she makes the class interesting and fun, looked forward to her class every week. she tells you whats going to be on a test, what else do you want to get an A? She does everything she can do help students understand the information. Inspired me to want to get a soci degree!

Prof Lane is good for the transition from high school to university. She is clear, to the point of obvious which I personally found to make the class boring. She clearly cared how students progressed in the course, I felt often as though I was back in high school and didn't enjoy her style of teaching. It made the course boring in my opinion.

BEST PROF EVER! I missed a class once and was actually disappointed. Her notes are clear and easy to follow and her teaching style is great. She tells you what is on tests and midterms and will oftentimes let you re do thought papers for a better mark. Overall AMAZING prof!!!!! :D

I took the night class with her and there were nights where I wish the class was longer than 2.5 hours! She is so entertaining. Her stories are hilarious! I love her. Her notes are great and she gives you the long answer questions that are on the mid-term and final throughout the semester. I would recommend this professor to everyone!

Ms. Lane was a really good prof in class. her lectures were very interesting and enjoyable. however she tested at a much higher level than she taught and this made getting a good mark very hard.

Loved her. She is very passionate about the material she teaches, and you can tell she really loves her job. She's funny and makes class enjoyable. However, she marks her midterm,papers&final fairly hard. A good mark in her eyes isn't higher then a 75% and if it happens, its rare! Pleasant lady though, and I looked forward to her class every week!

Leanne is an amazing teacher. I took her night class and could not wait to go to each class. So interesting. She told us what long answer question was going to be on the midterm, and told us 2 of the 3 parts of the long answer on the final. Definitely recommended.

Leanne Lane is a sociology goddess, she definitely knows her stuff and in class makes this course extremely easy and understanding. She wants her students to succeed and is willing to help any way. To the person below, Leanne is amazing and I received 100 percent on one of my assignments. She gives you the course on a silver platter, so she expects you to know a lot. If you are too lazy to learn the material then that is fine, receive bad mark because you deserve them. However, if you put in the work, you'll definitely succeed.

I hate going to class and I generally hate all my prof's - She was amazing!! She holds your attention for the whole class and I had a 2 1/2 hour class! She's very fair and helpful! Recommend her to ANYONE!

She is a awesome prof, her courses are interesting, shes clear and precise. Her marking is reasonable and in cases when she thinks you have too many papers or exams at the same time she will give just ask if anyone wants a extension. By far the best prof I've ever had.

Overall a great prof. Not too much material, and no huge number of assessments. Expected to participate in weekly discussions, and assessments were all take home, including the midterm and final. The only thing is that grading is difficult and feedback can be vague. Leanne is easy to get contact with and accommodating when needed!

Prof. Lane is a great instructor. Her courses are engaging and she provides detailed feedback. With a reasonable workload and helpful teaching style, she makes the material accessible. unstuck ai was a game-changer for studying.

I'm a crim major and shes a very easy grader as long as you follow the course criteria and is very easy grading with the discussion posts. She answers emails in a reasonable amount of time and is very reasonable when it comes to asks. Such as using an out dated textbook she was very willing to let us know what chapters we'd be using.

Never spoke to her in person, as it was an online course, but she seemed like a nice lady. Didn't seem like a tough grader, and work was returned pretty fast. I would recommend.
