Lee is a very good teacher. We had a test a week but it was only over what we learned the week before. The final was the same way. So we did not have to cram a whole bunch of stuff for a test. Quizzes are take home straight from the book. He is also very funny.
Very dry sense of humor which I thought was hilarious. The way this course is set up is awesome because there are tests every Tuesday and you can drop your two lowest ones. He lectures straight so you must take good notes. I would definitely recommend him
Test every Tuesday that are open response. If you go to class and do your readings you will do fine on them. He's good at what he does and overall the class in pretty interesting. He can be funny, but his nerdy jokes fall flat from time to time. Quizzes are open book and take home. At first, class seems very demanding but it isn't.
Probably the best professor I have had in college so far. Tests every Tuesday that are not that hard as long as you take good notes and read. He gives great lectures on Thursday and gives a lot of real world examples. I really hopes he gets in to Politics later on in his life because the man is a genius. He would definitely have my vote.
If you don't attend class, there is no way you will pass. Bailiff is a great teacher who really knows what he is talking about, I did find the weekly tests to still be difficult even though I attended every class and took notes. He is willing to help you an explain concepts to you outside of class which I really appreciated. All in all, he's tough.
While attendance is not mandatory, if you don't show up, you won't pass. You have to do a lot of reading, but the lectures make it easily understandable. Mr. Bailiff is an engaging lecturer, he gives lots of real-life examples, and he teaches you to think for yourself. Tests are all open-ended questions, but are your only grades for the class.
Bailiff is a great professor and is usually very clear in teaching the concepts in his lectures. If you don't understand something, always go into office hours for help because he will answer questions, especially before the test. The tests(only grades) can be very difficult, but if you read, go to class, study hard, and ask questions, it's doable.
Bailiff is the best! He is one of my favorite professors at TCU. If you go to class and listen, you will do well.
Bailiff is the best teacher I've had at TCU! His lectures are entertaining and he's actually funny. He gives a ton of specific examples in class. If you basically just recite his lectures on your test - you'll get an A every time! You can email him questions and he answers which makes it easy to get help! 10/10 - would recommend. BEST TEACHER!
Take him if you get the chance! He is by far the best professor I've had at TCU. His lectures are very clear and as long as you listen and write down what he says you should be good for the tests (which are taken in blue books). He is always willing to help and he is very easy to understand. He loves to teach and he is just amazing. TAKE BAILIFF!
Bailiff is an outstanding teacher who cares deeply about the subject he is teaching. His lectures are engaging and very thought provoking. While attendance is not mandatory if you skip class you simply won't pass the class. All his tests are essay only over the lectures he provides in class so make sure you take good notes. Take his class!!!!!!!!
Awesome lectures! Uses real events that allow concepts to be better understood. Instead of hearing about ice cream cones and potatoes to understand a concept, he will give you a historic reference. Funny and engaging lectures, much better comprehension rate than your average Econ class. A must take
HARD TEACHER . DO NOT RECCOMEND. I AM DYING STUDYING FOR HIS EXAM. 5-10 QUESTIONS ON EVERY TEST. DO NOT TAKE.
Incredible teacher. Simply Fantastic. He knows his topic and is so funny, you won't want to ever miss a class. Go to class take notes if you put in effort you will get a good grade.
I really enjoyed his lectures but the only grades in the class are 5 unit exams and the final. The exams are 6-7 essay questions that if you can regurgitate exactly what he says in class, you will make above a B. I had a really hard time with the exams so I ended up pass/failing but I learned a lot! There are easier professors so keep looking...
Why are people grading this as average? This class is too much. Be prepared for tests with all short answer questions. No other assignment besides these short answer tests. 6 questions over about 150 pages each test. 3 books you have to read. Grades hard. It's maybe doable if you don't work or have tons of other class work to worry about
I recommend Mr. Bailiff, however, if you are looking for an easy class or you don't like to read A LOT, this may not be the class for you. The only grades he gives in the class are tests (6 essay questions). Also, you must read two extra books on top of the textbook. However, I thoroughly enjoyed his lectures- he provides relevant examples.
Good professor if you have some Econ background. He doesn't give you any direction for tests, so it's on you to study. Would not recommend for Freshman, however as a Junior I really enjoyed the lectures and class. Interesting lectures with relevant examples, I would take Bailiff again if he taught any advanced economics courses.
Lee Bailiff is the man You should 100% take his class. He is hands down the best economics processor the TCU department has. If you want to learn about economics, you should 100% take his class. He is the best intro level economics teacher this world hs ever seen.
Well, the only thing I would have to say is that considering Im not an economics major, this was pretty tough for me to grasp. Although I did learn something I definitely wouldnt recommend taking Macroeconomics, especially if it doesnt have anything to do with your major. I would consider Microeconomics if youre in pursuit of a Bachelors.
Professor Bailiff is hilarious and I recommend his class to anyone who has to take macroeconomics. If you are willing to go to every class and see him during study hours it shouldn't be too hard to make at least a B. I always looked forward to his class, take this class!!!!!!
Lee Bailiff was the best professor I had freshman year. He is so funny and cares about his students succeeding. Yes, it is a lot of studying but if you take good notes you will pass with no problem. Best class ever, 100% take this class!
I took Macroeconomics. Bailiff is a hilarious man and very interesting to listen to. However, he has nothing online, does not write on the board; everything is verbal. Take him if reading and stress get you off. There are ONLY 6 exams as assignments; each being 6-8 essay questions. Each exam is based on 3-4 chapters of 3 different books. awful.
Good man, but it was a really hard class. Soooo much to study
If you not a lazy bum and you understand that your an adult now and have to study tr make a good grade, then this class will not be a problem because he will be there to help guide you through the textbook readings.
Amid a sea of meaningless academic fluff, Bailiff delivers something of value. There is much to be gained from taking his class and if you want to, you will greatly improve from taking his class. It is difficult to get an A and requires great effort, but if you are interested in bettering yourself take him.
I personally loved Bailiff, but some do not. These people tend to be the ones who don't read or take thorough notes in class. If read the books and take the time to reflect on what the authors are trying to convey, then you will succeed in this class. It may be challenging at times but it is extremely rewarding. If you procrastinate DON'T enroll.
TAKE THIS CLASS! He is an amazing person and teacher. By far the best class I have taken. He is very encouraging and wants his students to succeed. If you go to class and participate you will make a great grade! Going to his office hours before the tests really help as well!
Tests are the ONLY grades. Several hours of reading a week. Hard class especially if economics doesnt come naturally to you. He assigns 3 books, but teaches out of one. Dont waste time reading the one he teaches out of bc everything from it on tests was in lecture, read the other too instead. I learned a lot, and Bailiff is a great teacher.
Lee is a great guy. People do not like him because the class is a lot of work so they take out their frustration on him. Read the three books and do the work little by little and you will be fine. Make sure to Show up to class because he will give extra credit on days when attendance is low. Great class.
Bailiff is a SUPER good teacher, but his class is hard and requires a lot of work. He is accessible outside of class and use his office hours to your advantage!
Bailiff is the most caring professor I have ever had and wants to teach you about everyday life. He knows his stuff and is an entertaining lecturer. Just be prepared to read over 100 pages a week to prepare for the SIX tests. There is a test about every 5 classes. They are all short essay questions, but he drops one test. These are the only grades.
Professor Bailiff is the best professor in the whole world and I enjoyed his class immensely. I look forward to every class. He is REAL and says exactly what he thinks so if youre easily offended, hes not for you. You have to read outside of class and go to class but you wont regret taking him. If anything, it will be entertaining!
You will do most of the learning on your own from the three required books which took me about 8 hours to read for each test, and the 6 tests make up the whole of your grade, with the lowest being dropped. Make sure you start off strong, because most people don't, and you will be sure to learn a lot about the real-world application of economics.
Don't take his class if you are easily offended. He is very blunt but the lectures are hysterical. Lots and lots of reading and only grades are the six tests. A great teacher and truly cares about his students.
took him for both Macro and Micro my fresh year (I think Macro before micro is easier). FAVORITE classes. Accessible for office hours (go to them) and tests get easier as you learn formatting and what types of answers he's looking for. MAKE SURE to READ. Sometimes does pop questions in class and adds points. Drops lowest test at end (not midterm).
Great professor- really passionate about economics, but it is a hard class. Test heavy. If you do not attend class and read the books, you won't understand the topics.
Professor Bailiff is incredible. If you have no interest in Economics of any sort and are not ready to learn, do not take this class, though if you truly have a passion for learning Economics, this is the guy you want as your professor. Get ready to read as there are multiple readings. If you want to learn Economics and life, this is the class!
Professor Bailiff deserves a statue on campus. He is one of the best professors at TCU! He really cares about all of his students and is always willing to help. His class does require a lot of reading prior to every class but as long as you do the reading youll be successful!! Take his classes- they are worth it
If you have to take econ and you aren't amazing at it, take Bailiff. He made the material easy to learn, and classes were both fun and informative. Overall a super nice guy that wants you to succeed. The only bad thing about this class was how much reading there was, so be prepared for that.
Bailiff is by far one of my favorite professors on campus. He assigns a lot of reading but its definitely not impossible. If you have to take micro I highly recommend Bailiff, he makes the lectures interesting and always has a funny story that helps to explain the reading better.
Lee is a great professor. He is passionate about what he teaches, hates textbooks, and helps you if you need it. Be prepared to read, because even though he hates textbooks, he does utilize real books written by economists that do a good job detailing what exactly is truth, and what is misconception. Just make sure to answer in a lengthy manner.
This class is always entertaining. He knows what hes talking about and if for some reason he doesnt he will get back to you. His grading all depends on how well you answer the questions. Tests are your only grades. Lots of reading but its not bad if you get the hang of things.
I loved this class! I learned more from Bailiff than any class I've taken. He makes complicated topics easier to understand while being really funny. He calls it like it is and speaks the truth. There is a lot of reading for each exam, so make sure to divide it up. Your only grades are the 6 exams, but just take good notes and thoroughly read!
I really enjoyed his Micro class. It was super interesting and I actually learned a lot from it. There is a ton of reading, but I read 1/2 the time and still pulled out an A. If you arent going to read though, you have to pay attention to everything he says. Overall, relatively easy class, and I would take him again
Bailiff is a king. I took him for both micro and macro. Lots of readings and you definitely have to work for your test grade, but it is worth it and he is hilarious.
Let me tell you - Lee Bailiff is a character. He definitely speaks his mind (sometimes getting off-topic A LOT) and is very brash, but is super funny. There were only 6 exams and I had to work my butt off to get a good grade. You definitely have to read the textbook (it's a decent amount) and pay attention in class. The ave class grade was a C-
If you get over B in his class you are eligible for early graduation. He's funny but his grading is just super tough. Exams are online, at home, but you have to read bunch of books and listen to every single word he said. In general if you like a funny prof but grades dont matter then take him. Otherwise NOPE
Prof Bailiff is a fantastic teacher. He teaches economy in its purest form and it's quite interesting. The class is made up of 6 tests and the lowest grade is dropped. The only homework is to read the books and it's essential to do good on the test.
Professor Bailiff is a great teacher. He is funny and makes learning economics really interesting. Your grade in the class is 6 tests and the lowest test grade is dropped. The only homework you have is to read the books but it's very important that you do read them if you want to do good on the tests.
His lectures are more stand-up comedy than anything. I feel like it is a waste of time going to class because he gets off-topic a lot and goes on libertarian tangents. Be ready to read A LOT; I do not mind it and I have learned a lot from the readings, I just think he could more efficiently allocate class time: a scarce resource for college kids.
Professor Bailiff was the reason that I chose to be an economics major. He is truly passionate about the subject and while he only talks, he narrates it in a way that you can actually understand and in a way that will stick with you. Has to be the funniest man on campus. Would always love to take a class by this man
Professor Bailiff is one of the best professors I have had. He genuinely cares about his students so much and if you don't understand something he will clarify it up for you until you feel confident. It is a lot of reading, but most of the readings he will lecture about in class so you can connect the dots along the way. Highly recommend.
This guy isn't too bad, sometimes he gets political in class and doesn't comply with TCU mask rules, but as a teacher, I actually learned from his class. You gonna read a lot for a Intro Macro class, but it's gonna help you truly study. If you want easy A don't bother taking him but if you want to learn something you should probably do.
Really hard class. Learned a lot, but great professor overall. Would not recommend if you want an easy A, it was a lot of hard work.
Bailiff is an awesome, witty, hilarious prof. His teaching style is not what I prefer-- very reading heavy but I have still gotten a lot out of this course: maybe the most concepts I've ever learned in a course. Everyone loves Bailiff. He says what he wants without worrying about being cancelled-- you cant cancel this man.
Bailiff is awesome, hilarious, and cares ab his students. Only grades are 6 exams & theres a lot of reading that you have to do to succeed. Take good notes & take advantage of his office hours. Not an easy A but youll learn so much. Learned the most Ive ever learned from a class here & was overall a really rewarding, informative, funny class.
Four assigned books; lectures and tests both use direct examples from readings. He is willing to answer questions and reexplain material, but tests are formatted as open ended questions with no clear grading criteria that is more common in an upper level contending perspectives class rather than an intro level. 6 tests, with lowest one dropped.
I could put this guy in a ball and punt him off a bridge. I could blend this guy in a smoothie and leave him out to bake on a Tuesday afternoon. I could snap this guy like a piece of toasted celery. pretty good overall 7/10
I can tell this guy is packing, like packing packing. Like jeez man stop flaunting it everywhere. Dudes basically begging TCU to fire him. The balls on this guy is crazy. Pretty handsome too.
Professor Bailiff successfully keeps every student engaged more so than any professor I've ever had; this is mainly due to his dry humor. Take this class if you like to laugh. If you keep up with the readings, you can easily understand the economic ideas he conveys, even if you have no prior knowledge. He's an genious in his field of economics.
Professor Bailiff is one of the greatest professors I have ever had. His lectures are hilarious and you may get offended by what he says, but he doesn't care. Attendance is not mandatory, but I don't recommend skipping his class. The exams revolve around books and lectures. READ THE BOOKS.
Professor Bailiff is one of the most profound professors I have ever had. If you are looking to take a class that is taught by someone who is a master of their field, then he is your guy. I can confidently say that every time I walked out of his class, I felt more and more knowledgeable about the subject of Economics. Never a boring lecture.
Great Professor. Attendance is not mandatory yet I come to every class. He's hilarious and isn't afraid to say screwed up stuff which keeps the class interesting. He often lets us out early, he understands the life of a college student, knows we're itching to get hammered at 6pm on a thursday and roll TXR. Biggest advice is GO TO CLASS
Professor Bailiff has to be one of the greatest Economics professors that TCU has ever witnessed. Economics is a very complicated subject to understand, but Professor Bailiff is so good at applying these concepts to real life scenarios, making it super easy to understand. He is also absolutely hilarious and I look forward to his class every week.
Do your work, study, and actually learn the material. Tough grader but not difficult to get good grades when you listen to what he says and answer test questions the way he instructs you to. 6 exams make up grade, free response, 6-8 questions, not too bad. Extremely knowledgeable, answers questions, funny, and easy to follow along and understand.
This is my favorite class I have taken thus far at TCU. Bailiff is HILARIOUS. There wasn't one class where I wasn't laughing. Tests are difficult, but if you actually want to learn the material, Bailiff is your man. His class was all lectures with only 6 exams, but he used real world examples to explain concepts in an understandable way.
Class is ultra hard, his jokes are not funny, he probably still lives with his mother, and his comebacks to other students on rate my professor are sub-par.
For someone who was nervous about taking this class, I found myself always looking forward to coming to this class. He explains macroeconomics in such an easy way to understand. I really enjoyed coming to this class and would definitely take it again.
This course is a test-based class, with no homework, where although attendance isn't mandatory, it can determine your final grade in the class. His lectures are interesting to listen to and he uses lots of examples to explain the topics. There are several books we are required to read but he explains majority of the topics in class to take notes.
Hands down funniest teacher. Prof Bailiff does not care, he will speak his mind. Really tough grader, if your looking for easy A, not the class for you. You will learn a lot if you take his class though.
This professor is really funny and super interesting to listen to. The class consist of 6 exams which includes a midterm that is cumulative. If you do the readings and attend the class then you'll be fine. This class is really informative and opens up new perspectives to Econ. Really liked that he doesn't use a textbook to teach.
He is a good lecturer and makes them entertaining but it is really hard to stay organized in this class because he has no slides and taking lecture notes can be difficult to keep up with. The amount of reading required in this class is absurd and takes up a lot of valuable time. His grading on tests felt biased and unclear at times.
Professor Bailiff is a great professor in the sense that you learn so much and are able to apply concepts to real-world situations. However, he grades his tests really hard and all exam questions are free responses so you have to know exactly what you are talking about and be able to explain why your answer is correct. He lectures every class,
This is by far the best professor I've had at TCU. His class requires effort and self-discipline as any college class should but the things you will learn will be able to be applied to all aspects of your life. His lectures are informational and funny so make sure you attend. He cares about his students and is a very reasonable person.
Prof. Bailiff cares about his students' success. He is a class professor and a class human being; just from the short time I've spent with him during his classes and chatting with him after class, I've realized how much of a class person he is. He is passionate about his lectures and never hesitates to give everyone a good laugh during class
Professor Bailiff is awesome! You can tell he loves what he's talking about and knows how to keep his students intrigued. He is super accessible and helpful outside of the classroom and brings lots of character to his lectures. Your grade is based off of 6 tests and you will have to do some reading, but altogether his class is not a disappointment.
Funny teacher and super nice. Lectures are really hard and difficult to understand.
Lee Bailiff is the epitome of the alpha male. His lectures are a mix of genius economic articulation and pure stand-up comedy. His tests are difficult, but that also may be due to the delusion we college students have of what 'A' quality work is. Take this class if you want an introduction to economics but also an introduction to real life...
Professor Bailiff isn't rated a 5 because his class is easy and the work load is light. Yes, you will have to read and study a lot, but that's why you're in college. Instead, he's rated a 5 because his lectures are very insightful and hilarious. What you learn in this class will help you throughout you're whole life. Everyone should take this class
If you need to fulfill a core requirement, but don't really care if you get a B, take this class. He is funny and makes class entertaining to be in, if a little controversial. If you care alot about getting an A OR you are an Economics major I would avoid. Grading can appear arbitrary at times and he doesn't cover certain concepts as in depth.
Great professor. There is only 6 tests which are based off lecture and readings. It is reading heavy, but as long as you don't leave it until the night before you should be fine. He is very funny and will use comedy and real world examples to teach. I would take him again.
Dr. Bailiff is an outstanding professor, his class should be mandatory for all TCU students, and everything is clearly explained in the syllabus. Grading is very straight forward, and he gives feedback if asked. He clearly wants his students to succeed so my advice is put in the work and take advantage that Dr. Bailiff is at TCU.
TAKE THIS CLASS! I got a 56 on the 1st exam but ended with an A. Hardest A I have ever earned but I loved the class. He helps you understand concepts, and I was excited to go to every class. He is hilarious. Go to office hours it is beneficial. If you read and understand everything, and also listen to lectures and take notes, the tests are easy.
Lee Bailiff is an awesome teacher, however be ready to not miss a class and read at least a few chapters a week. Average on our first exam was a 49. Probably the most entertaining professor I have ever had and is not afraid to let it out during class, it is awesome! If you are not afraid of the challenge, I highly recommend this class!
AMAZING CLASS!
Bailiff is a tough professor, be prepared to do a lot of readings, and REALLY put in the effort. However, he's worth the experience. If you get to know the guy, he has so much knowledge to share. I ended with a B, but I by far took the most away from this class, not only about econ, but just life. You have to experience him once in life.
You will not find another Professor like Dr. Bailiff at TCU. This man sugarcoats absolutely nothing. Dr. B tells it like it truly is, and if you are afraid to hear the honest truth about something, this class is definitely not for you. He has more common sense than the entire TCU staff combined and it was honor to have him as my professor.
Really good guy and is hilarious. There are 6 tests (take home), one gets dropped. They are all short answer and based off 8 different books that you had to read and understand. First B I have ever received in my life. Genuinely impossible to get a good grade unless you go to lectures, read, and know everything you read. Specific test questions.
Loved Bailiff so much, learned the most from this guy out of any class taken at TCU so far but the grading is so arbitrary and unclear. Working my ass off to average B's and C's doesn't seem fair and the grading felt very unclear. Worth it to learn a lot about the market and economics, but if you don't want your GPA messed up I don't recommend.
Professor Bailiff is who you should take for macroeconomics. He is super engaging and his lectures are clear and to the point(and always entertaining). But you MUST do the readings before each test (and attend class) if you want to do well.
SO FUNNY! I loved his classes. The exams were easy if you read the books. DO NOT slack off on the reading. Take good notes in class and re-read the sections he talks about in class since those show up on the tests. To be successful go to office hours and listen to what the other kids are asking. Super nice guy as long as you are not sensitive
Take his class, will not find another class like Bailiff's. Tough, yes, but the material matters and class is never boring.
This class isn't easy. It's a ton of reading, and lots of note taking. But if you genuinely work hard, do every reading, and come to class focused, you'll be just fine. He doesn't teach a curriculum, but rather real life economics. Hes absolutely hilarious and incredibly smart. Read a ton, take a ton of notes, GO TO OFFICE HOURS, and you'll kill it
Lots of reading but doable if you do not wait last minute. He does say unnecessary stuff but he is actually very helpful! attend class and go to office hours and take notes on EVERYTHING he says. Graded on 6 exams where you answer 5-9 questions and he drops the lowest one! You will have to buy a few books but make sure to look for the pdf first
Bailiff is awesome and his lectures always make us laugh. Its important to do the reading for the tests and make sure you are actually learning from the reading not memorizing it. The tests makes you apply your knowledge so just make sure you pay attention in class. For sure recommend taking him for microeconomics.
He is a really funny professor. Super understanding guy but if you are dyslexic or have trouble reading longer assignments good luck. This class is all reading and he pulls specific questions from the already confusing reading. If you go to class and take notes on the major topics he discusses and compare it to the book you should ok.
Lectures can be funny but also goes on rants and is tough to pay attention in class because under 50% of the time spent in class is about material. Lots of reading and tests are your entire grade which he does not provide feedback. Would try and get another teacher.
He's an amazing teacher and I actually loved taking his class. His lectures aren't as important to attend but there is a LOT of reading in this class. You must do your reading to succeed. How it works is his lectures go over everything you need to know, and the reading goes much more in depth about what each of those things are.
Bailiff is awesome. Yes, the class does require a lot of work and reading, but if you actually lock in during the lectures, which is easy because he's so funny, you'll do well. Don't let your grade on the first exam deter you, he drops the lowest and it gets easier as you learn his question format. Just do the reading and the work. Big Bailiff fan
Only take this class if you are prepared to carve out like an hour of time to read every day. There are a ton of books that are hard to understand if you don't know much about economics. There are much easier professors. Bailiff did teach me a lot. Honestly, I am just not interested enough in econ to sacrifice my gpa.
It is a wasted opportunity if you do not take this man for your economics classes. He is funny and knowledgeable about the subject, offering many chances to raise your grade. Yes, the class is difficult, but it is a challenge that you should embrace. I also solved a Rubik's cube for extra credit which I loved. GOAT.
Engaging lectures from Prof. Bailiff, but the class requires consistent effort. Attend class, read the textbooks, and use resources like Unstuckstudy for efficient study prep. Grading can be tough, but the material is valuable.
Bailiff was a great guy and I truly learned a lot. I took him last semester for micro, and I will admit it was a hard class. We are only graded of 6 exams so doing well on them is imperative. He does drop our lowest test grade (excluding the midterm and final), which is nice. The worst part about his class is that there is a lot of reading
Professor Bailiff was a nice and funny teacher who kept his class engaged during lectures. The class was composed of 6 tests, one of them being dropped, and some extra credit. If you are consistent with going to class, reading, and reaching out for help you will get a good grade.
Dr. Bailiff had really great lectures and I agreed with most things he said. I wanted to make his class work and finish with a decent grade but his tests are WAY too dependent on reading long chapters from multiple books. Good professor but do NOT take if you don't want to be reading every night.
Bailiff is very smart and definitely knows what he is talking about. I would advise listening to an audiobook when reading and taking notes at the same time. Then, ask chat to summarize the chapters and take notes on that. Review these notes as often as you possibly can. You really have to listen during the lectures and take notes.
Best professor ever. I disliked his lectures at first, but looking back on how the class has changed me, I realize I was just a silly, myopic freshman hungry for easy As. I learned the hard way: to read smart, synthesize, and ask questions. He's very passionate; you can tell when he's teaching that it's as if he's preaching. He is the true GOAT.
If you do not like to read, do not take his class. However, he is the best professor I have ever had. Genuinely loves what he teaches. Tough grader but if you utilize his office hours, the exams get much easier. I won't finish with an A, but it is the most informative class I have taken and I am thankful to have had Bailiff as a professor, he's fun
Bailiff is an amazing professor. I loved his lectures and always found them interesting. Your grade is based entirely on 6 tests and he drops the lowest test grade. Tests are based on lectures and reading so make sure to read everything. Attendance isn't mandatory but you should attend every lecture. Go to office hours, he provides lots of help.
The most intellectually sound professor at TCU. His lectures are something to be had, incorporating his own insights to the lessons at hand. I thoroughly enjoyed his class, and could listen to his perspectives all day. Tests are the only grades, so read read read. Grades much more generously than others might admit. Absolutely worth it.
He's an amazing teacher! His lectures are organized and sometimes goes on a tangent but he relates it back to the topics. You will read a lot but it honestly helps you understand macro and the business world better. I recommend taking him, he's funny and very understanding if you can't attend class.
He is hilarious in his classes and I love his lessons (very informative). However, the reading for this class is HEAVY. I had to read around 9 books for his classes in total. He is very supportive during his office hours. His tests were mad hard, you need to remember everything he said and know your material well. He is tough grader too.
Prof Bailiff cares about what he teaches. You will NOT like him if you're liberal and/or left-leaning. I found some of his readings to be quite problematic and a bit racist. If econ/business is your thing, his class isn't too challenging. VERY reading heavy!! Start studying for tests ahead of time and go to office hours.
Amazing at what he does and teaches, it will definitely make a difference in your grade if you read or don't
